HAPPY ALMOST SUPERBOWL SUNDAY!!! That will be a happy day for many… a “meh” day for many more. π But that’s okay. ‘Cause we have books. LOTS AND LOTS OF BOOKS!
In fact… first and foremost!!! Biggest news of the day is THREE BRAND NEW EARLYBIRD releases from three of our very own favorite authors!!! π They’d normally be listed in tomorrow’s earlybird post, but these are tooooo goooooood-sounding to wait. π
Combust (Everyday Heroes Book 2)Β by K. Bromberg <—Β K. BROMBERG’S LATEST IS LIVE!!!!!Β Starting over, laying low, and HE’S her new roommate!
“…When she finds herself in Sunnyville, she refuses to let her new roommate burn her too.
Still . . . a rebound has never looked so good.
Thatβs her first thought when she sees firefighter Grady Malone.
Sexy. Charismatic. Unapologetic. Heβs a man who carries his own scarsβthe ones on his back, the survivorβs guilt on his soul, and the fear in his heart…”
Look the PartΒ by Jewel E. Ann <—Β JEWEL E. ANN’S LATEST IS LIVE!!!!!!!! The single dad and the therapist…
“…Sheβs annoyingly happy with a constant need to touch himβadjust his tie, button his shirt, invade his space, and mess with his mind.
Still β¦ She must go…”
Hostage (Criminals & Captives)Β by Skye Warren & Annika Martin <—Β SKYE WARREN & ANNIKA MARTIN’S LATEST DARK READ JUST WENT LIVE!!! OMG THAT COVER IS FANTASTIC!!! Itβs set in the same world as Prisoner (but is a standalone and can be read separately). Heβs a criminal murderer that spares her life but he gets in her car, and comes back for her again and againβ¦
β…Drive,β he tells me, and I have no choice. Heβs a criminal with burning green eyes, invading my life and my dreams.
The police say heβs dangerously obsessed with me, but Iβm the one who canβt stop thinking about him. Maybe itβs wrong to let him touch me. Maybe itβs wrong to touch him back. Maybe these twisted dates need to stop. Except he feels like the only real thing in my world of designer labels and mansions.
So I drive us under threat, until itβs hard to remember I donβt want to be there.
Until itβs too late to turn back.”
And now… the news! π
Colleen Hoover was featured in USA TODAY for her upcoming release, All Your Perfects: A Novel!!!! You guys. She’s freaking out. π
“I think it just hit me that US WEEKLY did the cover reveal for my upcoming book.
Yeah, Ima try to act all cool over on my author page like that’s normal, but over here on my personal page, let’s just give me a moment to FREAK THE FREAK OUT!”
P.S. Normally I don’t “share” personal page info, but she posted this as public π so it’s free game, right?? LOL!!!
Tarryn Fisher is a HUGE TEASE!!!!!! A. HUGE. TEASE. She just posted thisΒ (her upcoming release called “Daddiopath”????)Β and all I can scream is MINNNNNNNNNEEE!!!!!
Trust no man, my daddy said.
I didn’t mean to, but…
#Daddiopath#memoir#comingsoon
Mariana Zapata is a tease TOOOOO!!!!!! About her upcoming release:
“Just a couple of things.
1) I finished From Lukov with Love about a week ago, and it’s going through its final edit right now. It’s 150k words, it’s a story about frenemies, and I love it to pieces. There’s a lot of cursing (don’t act surprised), it’s *almost* a rom-com but still more of a contemporary, and the hero and heroine are two that will stay with me forever. This book won’t be for everyone (then again, I don’t think any of mine are), but it was a joy for me once I figured out what I was doing.ΒπΒ It should be out in a little over week, I hope. I’m still sorting the audio book situation out. I’ll keep y’all posted.
AND BEFORE WE GO ANY FURTHER, HERE’S THE BLURB FOR FROM LUKOV WITH LOVE:
If someone were to ask Jasmine Santos to describe the last few years of her life with a single word, it would definitely be a four-letter one.
After seventeen yearsβand countless broken bones and broken promisesβshe knows her window to compete in figure skating is coming to a close.
But when the offer of a lifetime comes in from an arrogant idiot sheβs spent the last decade dreaming about pushing in the way of a moving bus, Jasmine might have to reconsider everything.
Including Ivan Lukov.”
HUGE CONGRATULATIONS to these authors that made the NEW YORK TIMES BESTSELLER LIST!!!! Author Penelope Ward says:
“Huge huge huge congratulations to my BFFΒ Vi KeelandΒ for making the New York Times bestseller list at #8 this week for Sex, Not Love!!! I am so happy and proud of you. If books are like birthing children, this one gave you a long and hard labor! But you did it! Congratulations as well toΒ Heidi McLaughlinΒ who hit at #12 for Forever My Girl!! An amazing week for indies!Β
Jane Harvey-Berrick <— SWEEEEEET photo (and interview) of on their latest release,UndefeatedΒ (written together!!) and she says:
Check out this in-depth interview with me andΒ Stuart ReardonΒ !
Some great questions about UNDEFEATED and our writing partnershipΒ
Lauren Blakely <— COVER REVEAL and blurb of her upcoming release, Come As You Are! They meet at a masquerade… π
“…There’s no need for names or business cards. And thatβs why Iβm eager to get to know her more, since my mystery woman seems to like me for me, rather than for my hugeβ¦bank account.
Everythingβs coming up aces. Until the next day when things get a little complicated. (Newsflash β a lot complicated.)”
Nora RobertsΒ hasΒ posted a plea to her readers. She asks that readers be patient, and most of all polite in regards to requests for upcoming books, and in regards to their disappointments for books written, or planned, that do not follow their timeline expectations (for her, and all authors). A snippet:
“…I never have, never will, and simply canβt write to any segment of reader demands. I do try to consider reader expectations, but I have to write the story that calls to me. Whatever story that is wonβt ring the bell for every reader. I accept that.
Iβm sorry that the stories that have pulled me in the last few years have taken me in a direction that disappoints a reader. But if I didnβt follow the pull, whatever I wrote likely wouldnβt satisfy any reader, much less myself…”
K.A. Tucker postedΒ a “behind the scenes” update to her latest release Keep Her Safe: A NovelΒ (<— that I AM SOOOOO EXCITED TO READ!!!) saying:
“…It’s a book I honestly didn’t think I’d ever finish and there were a few times where I didn’t want to finish it. But it’s also the book I’m most proud of writing and if I never write another one again, I’ll know I wrote this one.
So dramatic.
This one is different from all my others (I think I always tell you guys that) but I write every book with the same simple goals, no matter what genre:
1) To entertain you
2) To make you feel.
So, to die-hard romance readers and anti-romance readers, and everyone in between, I feel like all of you will get something from this story, and I hope you’ll give it a chance…”
P.S. DO NOT FORGET!!! Tonight is the LAST NIGHT that you can enter to win a print copy!! βΒ K.A. Tuckerβs latest book βKeep Her Safeβ is LIVE & weβre having a two book giveaway!
Alessandra Torre just tweeted something VERY interesting, and I feel like I must agree with her…
Alessandra Torre: Iβm sick of articles that say #ebook sales are declining and only make up 30% of sales. These numbers typically come from publishers. In THEIR market, where they charge $12.99 for an ebook, thatβs true. But nationwide, itβs an unreliable stat.
Laura Thalassa just posted a cover reveal and blurb for her upcoming release in March! It. Is. GORGEOUSSSSSSS!!!!!
“Cover reveal and description for Pestilence (The Four Horsemen #1), the first book in my NA post apocalyptic series!”
Emma Scott teases us with her upcoming release, In Harmony,Β too! The good girl and the boy from the wrong side of the tracks are in a play together…
“…No one can play Hamlet but Isaac, and when the director pairs him with Willow in acting class, they clash again and againβneither willing to open their hearts to anyone.
But clashing leads to breaking, breaking leads to the spilling of terrible secrets, and soon Isaac and Willow find Shakespeareβs words mirroring their lives. When they are cruelly torn apart, neither know how this play will end…”
UPCOMING RELEASES just added to theΒ main βNew Releasesβ page:

I have an ENTIRE NOTEPAD’s worth of news you’ll like. I’m “compiling” them into comprehension. LOL!!! π
Tease!!! For now I’ll take Combust; although I’m in the mood for funny.
*giggle* you know me… I am so impatient! LOL,Thanks, love!
Tease. So much tease. Can’t I just have them all now?
R.S. Grey’s newest, The Beau & the Belle, is up for 99c preorder releasing on Feb 1st!
I TOTALLY AGREE WITH NORA
and if you do not then you are NOT a true fan
I mean did I LOVE EVERY U2 album they ever created – no
BUT I AM STILL HUGE FAN because I can appreciate the artist, and their talent and bravery in putting a piece of themselves out there for all the world to see
end rant
Looking forward to the new Mariana Zapata! *grins in happy anticipation*
I do understand Nora Roberts’ comments on writing to reader requests. No matter how badly we want our fav writer to write a *certain* book, they have to follow their muse. And with good writers, they often surprise us with something new and wonderful anyway! We don’t want to stifle their creativity, really we don’t.
Hahaha Kooloo. We posted the same thought TOGETHER! *hugs Kooloo*
*high fives Jan*
True.
Though hard as a fan. I kind of find Nora the same across genres. Though I gave up on her scifi mysteries, just not enough change in the characters for me.
And though Lisa Kleypas’ CRs are ok my love was for her HRs.
I tried I But could not follow Garwood and McNaught into the suspense genre. Honestly I do not feel it was where their talents lie. So I had to stop reading them.
But I would never harass them.
I won’t even harass Martin though I sometimes feel 7 years is a bit much of a wait.
Seriously.
Even if I agree with Gaimen that he is not our bitch.
But still….7 years.
Wait. Waaaaaaiiiiiiit. Wait. I don’t understand what I’m reading. Amy. AMY!!!! Anyone that has read Unhinged… please. I’m at the end. I don’t understand.
*still reading and in shock*
*hrmph*
Yeah no.
I don’t get it.
I’ll have to backtrack and do a search for a few names to find out how they factor into this story, so importantly in the end, ’cause I have no clue who they are and why they matter.
And I pretty much read this one non-stop.
Gosh darn it! :/
It’s an Amy book?
Then the heroine is probably dead. She died.
It’s an Amy book. π But her and I usually see eye-to-eye. Either she or I drank to many martinis with this one.
LOL!!!!!!
Or the hero. The hero is dead. It was horrible as they were just about to reconcile. The hero had had troubles with his drug use, which, due to smoking all the stuff he did, gave him lung cancer. He was finally in remission when he confessed to her that, yeah, they had a moment before, but he pushed her away so she didn’t have to deal with him dying. That moment produced their now two-year-old toddler. Unfortunately, they were getting out of the car at the store, an old friend from his past was there and was trying to escape from the store after his armed robbery. The man jumped into his car and wasn’t looking as he gunned the car, which aimed for the baby where it had run off. The hero looked over, saw that his baby was in danger, and threw himself in front of the car, pushing the baby out of the way. The car hit the man and continued on, speeding away. The baby lived, just minor scratches, but the hero died. Later the friend was arrested, but it was too late. Now, she sadly has to pick up where she left off and cry for the rest of her life.
Or, Maryse, it could just be a bad mystery where they pick some random person and say THEY DID IT. I’ve read a few of those.
Tessa.
I HATE SPOILING
But you had it right at “Random”
SUCH GREAT WRITING AND STORYTELLING for such a cop out.
ROAR!
*raises hand* I read Unhinged. It’s one of those where I was all wtf just happened, and then after thinking about it, it REALLY bothered me.
Look the Part by Jewel E. Ann is so good. I have been binge reading it all day when I should be cleaning!! Single Dad, check. Adorable son, check. Quirky and funny heroine, check.
Tessa are you gonna write that book? Plenty of angst lovers out there who would buy it π
*tosses glitter and confetti*
I FINALLY got Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo from library! π
I wanted funny, well I’ve been reading Three Blind Dates by Meghan Quinn and laughing hysterically. It started out a little slowly, but OMG I have been laughing so hard I’m crying. The thoughts and actions of the main character Noely and her brother and sister-in-law are both cringe-worthy and hilarious. Haven’t quite decided which of the three dates I want her to end up with, but I *think* I know which one it will be.
Cheryl, I was thinking of reading that one soon. Good to know you are enjoying it.
I think I may be the only one excited for the Super Bowl this weekend! Go Eagles!!!!!!!!!
Tessa, that was funny!
Cheryl, good to hear that about The Blind Dates. I hope it makes me laugh as much as Mister McHottie. You read M. McH, right Cheryl?
I did Jean. I think I laughed more with TBD.
Fly Eagles Fly!!!! Did not realize the Eagles have never won a Super Bowl until today when my daughter and I were talking about school having an Eagles pep rally friday and she mentioned it.
Ok Cheryl, moving TBD up on my list!
Yep, never won a Super Bowl! It’s time for the Eagles!
