I bet it will be too, Teresa. I’ve read so much by this this author and just love her! Okay so… she was scammed out of her office rental (which was really HIS office, but he was out of town and had no idea what was happening…), so he allows her to use HIS office space for her business as long as she helps him with his calls, too. But…

The two of us were complete opposites. Drew was a bitter, angry, gorgeous-as-all-hell, destroyer of relationships. And my job was to help people save their marriages.

The only thing the two of us had in common was the space we were sharing.

Eeeeep! I love “roommate books” and “office romance” books and this one seems to mix the best of both worlds. Plus it sounds like he’s a divorce lawyer? Or some kind of private investigator? And she sounds like a couples therapist so… yep. I’m already imagining all sorts of scenarios!!! 😀

Alessandra Torre‘s latest is going live at midnight!!!!! Love in Lingerie <— And speaking of office romance books, this one was a bit of everything we love from this author, in full on office-crush mode! Super slow burn, super steamy, fun (and funny!), but with some romance angst (but not TOO angsty) that has us connecting. And so… in case you missed it yesterday, I wrote a review!

Amanda Hocking has a new book out! She was one of the original indies that became a HUGE hit in our book world, and while I haven’t heard much from her for awhile, this one was JUST released this month! Freeks: A Novel <— and WHAT A GORGEOUS COVER!!! She was also featured in an interview about the book (On the Barnes & Noble blog), explaining some of the scarier stuff while writing this book, and how her writing process has definitely changed. Very introspective and honest. Writing used to be her escape, but now it’s become so much more in her life… with lots of added pressure. Here’s a tiny snippet from the interview where she says:

“The good news is that I do think asking these questions has made me a better writer and made my books better. I challenge myself more, and ironically, I think I’ve started taking more risks with my writing. The bad news is that it has made the writing process less fun than it used to be. Writing a book used to be a solitary activity, and in a lot of ways it still is, but now I have a thousand little voices sitting on my shoulder, judging every word I write.”

Jodi Ellen Malpas has a new book announcement!! “The Forbidden” is not up for preorder yet, but it’s expected to go live in August 2017! I searched the comments of this post to get more details, and she does indicate it WILL be a standalone, and the blurb is coming soon.

Kristen Ashley will be signing at “Turn the Page Book Store Cafe” on February 4th, and she posted THIS (with extra detail, by the book store, so you can go prepared). She says:

The folks at Turn The Page Bookstore Cafe kindly offered some information to my post yesterday about my appearance at their awesome store with romance greats Nora Roberts, Laura Griffin, Lori Foster, Kristan Higgins, Patty Taylor and Suzi Weinert. We’ll all be at their store February 4.

Karina Halle AND her husband wrote a book together!! Rocked Up <— is already up for preorder and I totally get a kick out of that cover, and title (fun play on words, considering he’s a rock star… surprise pregnancy??) I like those! She’s been in love with a rock star that hasn’t ever noticed her before (her dad is the CEO of the record company). And now she’s auditioning for his band. “…Remember when I said that Brad never used to notice little ol’ me? Well, Brad’s noticing me now. In a way that’s going to get us both in trouble. My name is Lael Ramsey and we all know how this will turn out.”

PLUS!!!!! She also announced an upcoming book release by her husband, alone!! It’s called “Sex, Love and Rock n’ Roll” (what AN AMAZING cover!!! Seriously WOW!!!) and it will be going live next week (no preorder yet) but she says:

“THIS book – Sex, Love and Rock n’ Roll – is 100% him. It is a romance. But it’s different. The male POV is abrasive. He’s not for everyone. There is a lot of sex and raw scenes that people may be uncomfortable with. If you’ve read Choke or any Chuck Palahniuk novels, it’s a similar vibe, but with Scott’s own style (he’s a musician and his lyricism inspires me!)”

Caroline Kepnes NEWS!!!! Okay so y’all know I loved her creepy stalker er… “love story” You: A Novel AND the sequel “Hidden Bodies: A Novel” and guess what? You is going to be a Lifetime movie!! Or will it be a show? I’m not quite sure yet, on the details, but Entertainment Weekly announces it here. Funny thing… how they “innocently” blurbed it, makes a few of us think some viewers are going to be in for a surprise. *snort* Mara White puts it best when she posted about it (and that blurb) on her Facebook. Look!! YIKES!!!! Look what they say:

“You is a 21st-century love story about an obsessive, yet brilliant twentysomething who uses the hyper-connectivity of today’s technology to make the woman of his dreams fall in love with him.”

Anne Rice was interviewed in this article (titled: “Anne Rice Reveals Why She Brought the Vampire Lestat to the Realms of Atlantis”). The entire article is fascinating, especially because she also divulges why she came back to her “vampire world” after so many years (here’s just a snippet about what she has to say on that subject):

“…they were really associated in my mind with pain, more than anything else. Pain and despair. And I had run out of what to say any more with them.

But what didn’t die for me—and never does die—is this sense of Lestat as real. And this enormous desire to get back to his world, and to be with him, and to approach the world through him. Finally after eight years, I was missing him badly and the stories were coming to mind, new ideas, new things. I wanted to get back to him…”

Nicole Williams just posted the paperback cover reveal for her awesome-sounding book, Hate Story, and honestly? I LOVE this new one much better. It has a darker feel, and seems more appropriate for this angsty sounding romance (a fake-marriage arrangement but “…the more she gets to know this soon-to-be-husband of hers, the more she discovers just how very much she truly, madly, and deeply . . . hates him. This isn’t a love story. This is the other kind.”). OH YEAHHHH! That sounds great! But the other cover was a little more… “cute and cocky” looking. You can see them both on Amazon as the paperback has the new version, and the ebook has the original cover. Which one do you like better? Which one would have attracted you more to the story? She says:

“I’ve always wanted to do this, and after six years of publishing, I finally did. I had two separate covers created for HATE STORY, one for the ebook, and one for the paperback. The paperback just went live, so . . . TA-DA! What do you think?”

A.L. Jackson has a new bad-boy rock star book coming out January 23rd!!! It’s called “Stay” and sounds like it will be signature A.L. Jackson romance angst! “…Willow Langston found me at my lowest. Literally. Facedown in a puddle of my own blood. I owe her my life and I have three months to repay that debt...” While there’s no preorder yet, you can see the full blurb, and the trailer here.

Julie Richman just recently posted the super-sexy cover reveal for her upcoming book, “The Do-Over”.  It’s a standalone second-chance romance. There’s no preorder yet, but at least you can feast your eyes for a bit. Tee hee!!! 😛 P.S. It will be out January 26th 2017 and

L.P. Dover has a new book releasing early February called Trigger: A Circle of Justice Novel. Strangely enough, you can order the paperback right now though? It seems so. Cool title, gorgeous cover, and it kind of sounds dark. And it’s a standalone!

C.D. Reiss announced her new book and cover reveal for Bombshell (Hollywood A-List Book 1) (going live May 1st). About a Hollywood heartthrob that discovers he’s got a 5 year old love child. Oops. 😉 And so he gets a nanny. “Cara DuMont isn’t exactly thrilled when she gets assigned to be the nanny for the latest box-office king. She has one rule: no celebrity fathers…”
