Ashley: I have had the hugest girl crush on Colleen Hoover since I read Maybe Someday. The way she incorporated music right into the book that you could actually listen to while you read the lyrics was incredible! I ended up buying the songs so I could just listen to them while I was working. My daughter actually wants to see Mary Poppins Returns. That would be a fun one for Xmas weekend for me, as Mary Poppins was one of my absolute favorites as a kid. But, super busy weekend wrapping and baking and partying.
I was actually going to buy some tea and wondering which is best for a cold. Maybe I need to try elderberry??
Leslie, I’m all green tea all the time…but I add honey when I have a cold…it soothes a scratchy throat. Doesn’t do much for opening the sinuses though…if you find one that does…maybe share it with us. Good luck…hope you feel better!!

I have no idea if the tea really works. I bought some recently and *knock on wood* haven’t been sick to need it. It does taste ok though, mild. The lady at the health food store swore by it.
I think any tea with honey helps me when I have a cold. I ended up getting lemon/lavender and it’s good. My store didn’t have elderberry but I will try it sometime.

I’m doing pretty good. I got 13 screws and 2 plates just below my knee and the doctor said the surgery went great–the best he could’ve hoped for (which I was THRILLED to hear).
The pain is finally subsiding a bit, but we just took out my nerve block catheters, so once all the numbing goes away, we’ll see how it *really* is.
I’ve already walked on it with 50% weight and I’m also working on straightening and bending my knee. So all in all, so far, so good! I’m ready to get back to living (and reading) again!
