D.G.: Tillie Cole at her finest…Love this MC series…unique plot and definitely unique characters…Not for the faint of heart!

Oh yeah, guess what I’m reading right now? It ended up on SO many “Best of 2017″ lists. My fellow readers went crazy for it. Emma Scott’s Forever Right Now and right from the very start of it (I started it last night) had me hooked, I had a hard time putting it down to go to sleep. I LOVE when that happens!! More to follow…

Jen C: I absolutely ADORED The Beau & the Belle. Such a lovely, well paced novel. Had me reminiscing about my teenage years, laughing at the pop culture references and swooning over the male lead.

I love how Rachel can write romcoms without a single cringeworthy moment.

  • Living Out Loud by Staci Hart <— STACI HART’S LATEST IS LIVE!!! She’s got a heart condition and she’s made a list of things she wants to do: “...See the city from the top of the Empire State Building: Check. Eat hot dogs on the steps of The Met: Check. Get a job at Wasted Words: Check. What wasn’t on her list: Greg Brandon. And just when she thinks she’s figured out where to put him, everything changes. In the span of a few staggering heartbeats, she finds herself her caught in the middle of something she can’t find her way out of, with no clear answers and no rules…”

With no-one else to trust, she seeks the help of an unlikely—but alluring—group of men. For better or worse, the rocker, the wanderer, the student, the therapist, and the adviser all have a part to play in her destiny...”

Kooloo: Maryse !!! Checkout the cover art of Casey L Bond’s newest fairytale retold with a cruel evil twist of course *insert evil laugh here *  – I do have to admit I enjoyed her first book in the series more called Riches to Rags (again what a cover)!!!

Oh and if adult fairytales aren’t your thang she has an awesome series with Vamps/Zomb/Apoc – CRAZY GOOD as I recall might even have to do a re-read since I’m almost done my all 9 Joe Ledger books ….. oh no Joe don’t leave meeeeeee :( have my babies!!!

Anywaaaay *clears throat* checkout the 1st book is that series called Frenzy (The Frenzy Series Book 1) (cover art amazballs AGAIN) which is also FREE on Amazon right now – whooohooo!!! Man I remember going craycray over the cliffy with that one BUT all books of that series are out so no excuses to dive right in – Enjoy xoxo

  • Finders Keepers by N.R. Walker <— M/M ROMANCE ALERT!! “...Dane Hughes is stuck in Surfers Paradise at a week-long work conference when he gets a phone call from his distraught mother. His dog, his fur baby, Wicket, has run away. Unable to leave and feeling helpless and miserable, he gets a text from a guy. “I think I found your dog…
  • Trickery (Curse of the Gods Book 1) by Jaymin Eve and Jane Washington <— REVERSE HAREM ALERT!! *waggles eybrows* ;) Tessa LOVED it!
Tessa: …one of the best reverse harem series I’ve been reading. The first book is Trickery by Jaymin Eve and Jane Washington. It’s awesome.

Banc: Maryse, just saw on your page that a reader reminded you to read The idea of you by robin lee. I always get my next read from your lists and this was one of my favourite of all time, the hero is my favourite ever he’s so bloody sexy but that tiny bit vulnerable, I read this book again as soon as I finished. I have never, ever done that before, honestly pick it up now love ,I might even read it again too. Keep writing great lists from one of your fans down under xxx

Tasara: Have you read The Idea of You, yet???

Marion: Have you read it? I keep trying to get people to read it. I read it twice last July. It’s a very well written story.

Tasara: I just read it this weekend! It’s SO good! The discussion group for it blowing up with people and all the feels. Lol

  • Trainer: A Dark Motorcycle Club Romance Novel (Road Kill MC Book 7) by Marata Eros <— LIVE!! BIKER BOOK ALERT!!! Instead, Krista gets three adults. One man is so quietly brutal, so deep – so unreachable – Krista’s not sure she can help him. Until she finds that Trainer helps her in ways Krista never knew she wanted. Needed…”
  • Sharing You: A Novel by Molly McAdams <— MOLLY McADAMS ALERT!! SHE FALLS IN LOVE WITH A MARRIED MAN… Brought to my attention today because of a reader question! AND OMG it sounds ANGSTY!!
Jessica: Sharing you by Molly Mcadams. Really good book.
Jen: Hi Maryse – Quick heads up on a book that has a huge price drop today on Amazon. Just one-clicked on Wallbanger by Alice Clayton. Super Bargained price … Read about on your blog a while back and thought I would let you know. Thx
  • Undercover Fighter: (Underground Fighters #3) by Aislinn Kearns <— LIVE!!! UNDERGROUND FIGHTER ALERT!! “…Kat once lived a normal life—one she hopes she can return to one day. But that was before she traded her life to repay her sister’s debt. Now she spends her days and nights doing whatever McCready orders her to. She can’t risk her potential freedom, not even to help Wyatt, no matter how tempted she might be…”
  • Nemesis (Project Nemesis) by Brendan Reichs <— THRILLER SUPER-SALE & book #2 will be out in just a few weeks!!! HOLY MOLY that blurb has two weird cool psych-thriller/sci-fi-like twists, and I think will make for riveting reading. Each year he comes and murders her, and then she comes back to life, but then the blurb totally get’s weird. But cool-weird… I’m intrigued!
Amy: I just freaked out over the blurb of Nemesis and clicked it without looking at the price.
Marion: The Sidelined Wife by Jennifer Peel is a lovely feel good read and it’s funny!
  • The Silver Cage by Anonymous <— RECENTLY RELEASED, DEVASTATING M/M ROMANCE BY ANONYMOUS & Jen loved it!!
Jen: I read The Silver Cage!!! It was absolutely amazing. Breathtaking and heartbreaking at the same time. The writing is exquisite, and the story is so real. So raw. It’s like nothing I’ve read before. I hope to hear your thoughts!
  • Angel (Made Men Book 5) by Sarah Brianne <— LIVE!!! DARK ROMANCE/MAFIA ROMANCE ALERT!! The latest “Made Men” book (I think it’s Mafia romance) is LIVE! I hear this series is a real contender for the bully book list! P.S. Here’s the reading order. “...Angel is the son of the devil, bleeding Luciano blood. Adalyn is fascinated by bad boys, bleeding Caruso blood. Seized by his enemies, he’s only a moment away from death. Toying with the enemy, she’s about to get caught in her own trap. One kiss could betray his family and seal his fate. That kiss could cost her life…
  • Kneel (God of Rock Book 1) by Eden Butler <— ROCK STAR SUPER-BARGAIN ALERT!!! I hear this “hero” is the ultimate jerk!!!

“…His face hangs on every girl’s wall. But Dash wasn’t always a rock God.

Once, he was just Jamie, the boy I loved. But when my name, sung from his lips promised I was good for only one thing, all sweet thoughts of him die.

Now his excuses mean nothing. His apologies are weak and I’m about to show the world that even rock Gods can be brought to their knees…”

Amy: …Insanity by Lauren Hammond. You may figure out what’s going on before you get to the end or you may not, but either way I think it will give you what you couldn’t get with Unhinge. My heart still aches from what happened in Insanity. STILL. All these years later. The second book was a great followup and filled in the gaps…

  • Beautiful Torment by Paige Laurens <— STUDENT-TEACHER ALERT!!! Brooke recommends this one!
Brooke: Just finished Beautiful Torment by Paige Laurens and it fits right into the whole student teacher thing. It had a couple of grammar mistakes but otherwise was a really good and angst ridden read. You should add it to the list..

Kooloo: My fav zomb/apoc series is UNTIL THE END OF THE WORD by Sarah Fleming – it had everything romance, humor, heartache and horror = perfect BUT I’m waiting for Book 3 of her NEXT series which happens on the same time line but revolves around the younger brother of the heroine Cassie in UTEOW!!! I made the stupid mistake of readingMordacious (The City Series Book 1) and I have Book 2 but refuse to read it until Book 3 is out… Fool Me Once and all that - Gahhhhhh SUCKS ZOMBIE FARTS

  • God-Shaped Hole: A Novel by Tiffanie DeBartolo <— ONE OF MY FAVORITES!!! SPEAKING OF AWESOME TORMENT, Sharon is suffering…

Sharon: I need help, tissues, Xanax. Why didn’t I heed the warnings? I love angsty books. But this one, I’m a wreck and in tears. Why did I decide to read God Shaped Hole? Why? I am 89 percent in and I don’t know if I can bear to finish it – yet I know I will. My husband is going to have me committed if he sees me weeping like this over a book!

For those going on a road trip soon, or maybe you’ve got some projects that require both hands this weekend but still allows you to “listen”… check out the free audible trial + 2 free audiobooks deal —>

  • AND! Here’s the fun-tool again! —> Find out which of YOUR Kindle books are available as audiobooks at a BARGAIN-PRICE! <— This thing is so cool (Amazon calls it “Matchmaker“)! It’s an Amazon feature, that scans all of your Kindle books and will list all of the ones you have that are also available as an audiobook at a discounted price (not normal audiobook prices). This way, you can switch back and forth, seamlessly between your ebooks and your audiobooks. VERY COOL!

Maryse February 2, 2018 at 8:36 AM

YAY BETH!!! YES MA’AM!!! Saw it first thing this morning and did a happy dance!

Maryse February 2, 2018 at 8:36 AM

Good morning everyone!! :D

Leslie M February 2, 2018 at 9:21 AM

Morning all! Happy Friday.

Maryse, so excited you are reading Forever Right Now. I adored that one. It felt so real and Darlene is amazing h.

I just realized I have that Molly McAdams one on my Hoopla. I think I have been avoiding that author because of that one “death” book she wrote. I loathe death/terminal illness books.

Grey February 2, 2018 at 10:03 AM

OMG Kooloo, bwahaha, wasn’t it you who was picking on my autocorrect fail yesterday??? Thank you making my day! Xoxo!

Maryse…so are you loving it? Thank you as always for rocking the blog for us!

I’m trying to decide whether I’m going to start my PFM challenge or the randomizer ATF one once I throw all the suggestions in, I have no book at the moment and it’s a sad day.

Hi everyone, happy Friday! *tosses glitter*

Amy February 2, 2018 at 10:20 AM

Until the End of the World…UNTIL THE END OF THE WORLD!!!!!!!

And God-Shaped Hole??

*scoops up glitter and throws it on EVERYONE*

What a happy Friday!!!!!

Amy February 2, 2018 at 10:21 AM

OMG Kooloo’s phone is drunk. LOL!!

Nay February 2, 2018 at 10:43 AM

I missed the Mariana Zapata book–she likes to sneak them in, doesn’t she?

Tessa February 2, 2018 at 11:26 AM

lol Kooloo’s phone wins today.

I STILL have to finish the End of the World Series. Book two kind of tore me apart. I’ve been told by Amy the last one won’t do that, but… *side eye her* She is a death reader. :P

I’ll get to that Zapata book. :D Right now, I’m reading The Medic that was rec’d as a bully book. Sadly, he’s not. He’s a twit and just seems scared of commitment. I’m over half way through and I still think he’s a twit.

Jean February 2, 2018 at 12:16 PM

Loved End of the World series (thank you Amy for making me read it)! Anyone who hasn’t, get to it!

So, guess what one I like up in that list….ummm…Trainer…. broken and a special needs teacher….. mine! Although I did notice its book 7… hope I don’t have to read the others first.

I do love Zapata’s books, but they are usually a slow slow burn and long…. and they take me a long time to read.

I don’t know what I’ll be reading this weekend yet. But Sunday, IT’S ALL ABOUT FOOTBALL!!!! Go Eagles!!!

Grey, I’m dying to see what the randomizer picks for you. *crosses fingers that its Mister McHottie*

Tessa February 2, 2018 at 12:59 PM

Jean, I honestly don’t care who wins. There is an awesome reason for both to win. Eagles never had and Brady would be making multiple weapons if the Pats win. Brady is good enough to be okay with that, but Eagles really fought hard to get there too.

I’m torn!

MichelleS February 2, 2018 at 1:18 PM

Tessa – you know who IS a big fat bully? The H in Midnight Blue. Full on major jerk face! Argh!!!! Such an @$$. If you’re in the mood for that kind of thing. I gave it 5 stars. Kept me entertained!

MichelleS February 2, 2018 at 1:20 PM

He calls her is “hanny” (hot nanny) who is hired to keep him from falling off the wagon while on tour. Makes her life miserable so she’ll quit. Ha!

Jean February 2, 2018 at 1:37 PM

MichelleS, that sounds really good!!

Tessa, I grew up in Philly so yeah, HUGE Eagles Fan!!! This City needs a win!

Nay February 2, 2018 at 1:42 PM

Tessa–I think maybe YOUR phone wins today, Unless you meant to say:

“Eagles never had and Brady would be *making multiple weapons* if the Pats win.

Kooloo February 2, 2018 at 1:57 PM

*Did you say foosball? Foosball is the devil*

Hey I ladies I think we need a BEST OF list for FOOTBALL romance!
So as we all get ready for Super Bowl Sunday let’s pay tribute to tight pants and sexy butts!

My very first sports romance read which I bought in paperback in 2011 was… The Perfect Play (Play by Play #1) by Jaci Burton!!!
I’m pretty sure I loved it back then because I just checked my shelf *blows away a layer of dust* and I have books #2 to #6 lol

Kooloo February 2, 2018 at 2:01 PM

But BUTT the best foosball COVER goes to….

Grey February 2, 2018 at 2:03 PM

There are so many… I love foosball. I read Lucky by Carina Adams last year, it was fantastic. And then, of course, there’s the Fallen Crest series by Tijan…

Jean February 2, 2018 at 2:08 PM

That is a great cover Kooloo!

And speaking of Mariana Zapata…..The Wall of Winnipeg and Me!

Nay February 2, 2018 at 2:31 PM

Kooloo–that was my first football book too! And, unfortunately, I gave it a pretty crappy review. I read up to #4 and like you, I think I have #5 and #6. But I just looked and the series is up to 14 books now!

Nay February 2, 2018 at 2:43 PM

I’ve got an entire Football series for you, Kooloo. It’s the Infinity series by Layne Harper. The hero starts as a popular college player who goes pro and the series is an epic love story that follows their romance. Very angsty! I got the first one, Falling into Infinity, for free and then I couldn’t stop reading and read them all back to back. There are 6 books in the official series, but the first four cover the story arc for this couple.

Jean February 2, 2018 at 2:47 PM

I have a few too:

Wrecking Ball by P. Dangelico

Fraternize and Infraction by Rachel Van Dyken (loved these)

The Game On series by Kristen Callihan (Great series!)

Jean February 2, 2018 at 2:48 PM

And now I’m wanting to read a football book.

Kooloo February 2, 2018 at 2:57 PM

OMG soooo many that I forgot – this is great!!!
Yes of course FC by Tijan (pronounced tee-gan right? Lol)
Jean The Walllllllll we all loved that one I think
NayNay I’m def checking out that series this Saturday

Maryse what do you think of our list so far!!!

Tessa February 2, 2018 at 2:58 PM

Hahaha Nay, I meant they had never won. As for the phone, sadly no. That was from a computer. It was all me.

Kathy P. February 2, 2018 at 3:31 PM

If anyone if a member of Colleen Hoovers Cohort group on Facebook, it is Fan Friday and they are having lots of author giveaways. I can’t wait to read the Mariana Zapata book!! We are going to be having a easy dinner night so Mommy can read!!

Tessa February 2, 2018 at 3:46 PM

I LOVE football books. Usually, those men are buff. :)

Rusk University series by Cora Carmack
Chicago Stars series by Susan Elizabeth Phillips (my first football book)
The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden by Jessica Sorensen
The Hard Count by Ginger Scott
Very Wicked Things by Ilsa Madden-Mills

FC is my favorite, of course. :)

Marion February 2, 2018 at 4:16 PM

Anyone in a book funk please read The Idea of You by Robinne Lee. It’s guaranteed to re – awaken all your emotions . Feels for days!

Kathy P. February 2, 2018 at 4:45 PM

The Hart Series by M.S. Carter is a great football two book series!

Jan February 2, 2018 at 5:56 PM

I like a good football book too. I also liked Rusk University, Wrecking Ball, Wall of Winnipeg, Chicago Stars. And my fav KULTI!! (for women’s soccer) But it has got a really HOT German soccer champ H! I must look at the series you rec Nay. thanks :) I will also look at the Hart books. Thanks Kathy.

Haha Kooloo. I 1clited the new Mariana Zapata too. The epic fails of autocorrect. But the book looks pretty good. :D

I know there’s a lotta love out there for The Idea Of You, and I respect that, but, respectfully, it just wasn’t for me. Older woman younger man, OK. But in this case the age gap was just TOO MUCH and I just couldn’t get past it. (39 almost 40 to twenty I’m not even legal to buy a drink? Just no).

I have loved some OWYM books e.g. The Fall by Nia Forrester is terrific, but the age gap isn’t so big.

Jan February 2, 2018 at 6:00 PM
Kooloo February 2, 2018 at 6:11 PM

Kooloo February 2, 2018 at 6:18 PM

I’m reading Max Monroe’s newest/foosball series called WILDCAT!
Cover p*rn On this one baby –
Le “V”. *le sigh*

Grey February 2, 2018 at 6:18 PM

The Education of Sebastian… Nothing to do with football, but the OWYM… Remember that one? Humina, Humina…

Kooloo February 2, 2018 at 6:23 PM

Look at this cover Yummmmmmy

Just come out too!

Kooloo February 2, 2018 at 6:31 PM

OMG *smacks forehead*

That’s it I’m done

Grey February 2, 2018 at 6:59 PM

Oooh, Kooloo, that one look hawt!!! I love their books…

Melinda February 2, 2018 at 7:28 PM

Oooo, Michelle S, I read Midnight Blue too and I loved it. But it got a lot of bad ratings on GR. I 5 starred it too. It’s a rock star book. Love them.

Grey February 2, 2018 at 7:37 PM

Alright, here we go. Friday night. Behind the Bars by Brittainy Cherry. My first by this author, picked by the randomizer on the ATF challenge, thrown into the mix by Leslie, LOL! I’m excited. The playlist is up on Spotify, which already gets it a checkmark in the ‘makes Grey happy’ column… LOL!

Melinda February 2, 2018 at 7:57 PM

Football books oooooo, so many,

The friend zone Kristen Callihan
The hook up
The score Elle Kennedy
I loooved the wall of Winnipeg and me.

Melinda February 2, 2018 at 7:58 PM

Grey, I loved that book too. Rec by Leslie

Jen C February 2, 2018 at 8:20 PM

Absolutely loved Insanity! It took me quite a while to *finally* get around to reading it but when I did, I couldn’t put it down (and was totally kicking myself for waiting so long!).

And Wallbanger! I really need to do a re-read of that one!

bev February 2, 2018 at 8:32 PM

Ok, I do not watch a ton of football but didn’t WoW seem off to you in that area?
Like was it arena football or something? Didn’t seem like the NFL.

Tessa February 2, 2018 at 8:56 PM

It was NFL, but not much detail. I don’t think the author knows football like she knows soccer.

bev February 2, 2018 at 9:18 PM

It was one of the reasons I didn’t like the book as much. Just kept stumbling up against it.

Grey February 2, 2018 at 10:40 PM

Finished! Lol. Gah, now to start the TJR or go to bed….decisions, decisions…

R. Renee February 2, 2018 at 10:41 PM

Which TJR are you starting?

Nay February 3, 2018 at 12:57 AM

Grey, you finished that book in THREE hours?! Wow!

Leslie M February 3, 2018 at 10:06 AM

Ok, I know what you all are thinking. “Oh, Leslie rec’d Behind the Bars…must be an easy-breezy read.” It is not! In fact when you read it, you will scratch your head and think “Leslie liked this tear-jerker???”

Its def not my typical book, it was very difficult to read, super emotional but I LOVED EVERY SINGLE WORD. I fell HARD for Elliot. I loved the h too and so many of the characters. Her step dad, Elliots mom, sis and uncle. Gah!!! I am getting emotional just thinking about it. It was a beautiful story and will go down as an all time fave for me.

Jean February 3, 2018 at 10:09 AM

I want to read it Leslie! I think you just made my decision for me! I love all of her books…. she never disappoints me!

Maryse February 3, 2018 at 10:18 AM

I just finished R’s book!!!!!! Wow. I loved it. I cried twice. <3

Great writing, and fantastic little details during conversations that made the conversations flow naturally. The characters came to life and moved as if I were watching a movie.

And yes, I was so excited about the proposition and then I was all… WHAT? OH RIGHT!! GAH!!!!!! LOL!

But I love that kind of “cliffhanger” because it’s not so much a cliffhanger since the end of this one essentially came to a solid conclusion… it’s just the start to part 2. ;)

I’m in!

Nay February 3, 2018 at 10:40 AM

I couldn’t agree more, Maryse!

R. Renee February 3, 2018 at 10:40 AM

Oh my god Maryse! I just woke up to this and I’ve already cried twice myself!!! Thank you so much for reading it! I’m going to go die now!!!

Leslie M February 3, 2018 at 10:46 AM

Maryse, that is it! The “flow” of Waiting for the Sun was perfect. I couldn’t think of the word. I am DYING for part 2 as I have no idea where story going.

Leslie M February 3, 2018 at 10:49 AM

Jean, what’s funny is that I found Ms. Cherry’s other books I read too depressing for me!!! I have a hard time with sad books but this cover attracted me and after 1st chapter I was hooked! Tears be damned, I loved it anyway!!!

Tessa February 3, 2018 at 11:12 AM

Robin, you can’t die now. We still need book two. Get that out first, k? *hugs*

Maryse February 3, 2018 at 12:03 PM

LOL!!! I know it. DO NOT DIE before we get the proposition, properly!!!! LOL! :P

R. Renee February 3, 2018 at 12:07 PM

Gahhh! I just read your review and I’m crying-smiling-choking so I can’t make any non-death promises at the moment!!

Tessa February 3, 2018 at 12:36 PM

Again, no dying! If you have to, stick to your husband all day long so he can perform Heimlich.

MichelleS February 3, 2018 at 12:41 PM

My favorite football book was a rec from Bev. I can’t remember the title! Help me out Bev.

MichelleS February 3, 2018 at 12:49 PM

Heaven, Texas!!! That was the one. Loved that book.

Kooloo February 3, 2018 at 12:59 PM

Awesome Michellemybell just added to my TBR ;j

bev February 3, 2018 at 12:59 PM

Bobby Tom Denton. Lol. It I’d one in a series.

Just saw that Dolly is doing some music for Dumplin.

Kooloo February 3, 2018 at 1:01 PM

I’d say we have at least 20 Fooooosball Books on our Ode To Super Bowl Sunday Sexy Butts

MichelleS February 3, 2018 at 2:14 PM

I’ve read a bunch, but Heaven, Texas is the only one I remember. He was a sexy, sexy man!

Tessa February 3, 2018 at 3:24 PM

Kooloo, I think I’ve read more than that! lol It’s really my favorite sport book type. Though, I went searching and there are a whole bunch I haven’t read. 0.0 Though I can’t believe I forgot to mention the Friday Night books by Abbi Glines. They are SOOOO good.

Cheryl February 3, 2018 at 4:00 PM

Nay, I LOVED the Infinity series- I think that is my fav football series.

The WoW; Tackled by Sabrina Paige; Wrecking Ball; Gridiron series by Jen Frederick; Game On series by Kristen Callihan are just a few.

Now I think I need to organize my books in GR to 5* sports.

Kooloo February 3, 2018 at 5:44 PM

!!!TESSA!!! I too really enjoyed Abbi G’s UNTIL FIRDAT NIGHT but only read the first 2 books in that series *runs over to GR to add the next 2 books on TBR list*

That reminds me anyone remember the Movie called FRIDAY NIGHT LIGHT (based on a true story)
see trailer:

I watched that movie sooo many times back in 2004 Gahhh! …didn’t like the show as much – BUT a still watched it EVERY week!

Diana February 3, 2018 at 5:59 PM

AHHH! I loved From Lukov With Love! Mariana Zapata redeemed herself (am I the only one who was majorly disappointed by Dear Aaron?) I love her books!!!!

Diana February 3, 2018 at 6:05 PM

I haven’t seen anyone mention Catching Jordan for a football book. It’s different but really sweet. Loved it!

bev February 3, 2018 at 6:40 PM

Such a lazy day today. And now craving junk food, lol.

Kooloo February 3, 2018 at 6:57 PM

Ooooo thanks Diana (love the name BTW) will definitely check it out!
Funny I just spent 2 hours scrolling for a replica of Princess Diana/Kate’s engagement ring for my mom (who is obessed with the Royal :O )

Created a wish-list called “If I had a Million Dollars”
I add/visit it often heeheee

Kooloo February 3, 2018 at 7:05 PM

Speaking of I need to decide between ACOTAR or HP
sented candels… decisions decisions! haha

*****I really want to try the FLOO POWDER smell :)

bev February 3, 2018 at 7:05 PM

I keep seeing all these new names pop up in the GR groups.

It freaks me out.

bev February 3, 2018 at 7:28 PM

Kooloo I think one of the prettiest engagement rings I have ever seen is Queen Elizabeth’s. Just beautiful.

R. Renee February 3, 2018 at 7:42 PM

I cannot stop eating the red hots. I need an intervention .

Kooloo February 3, 2018 at 7:56 PM

Oh bev it’s soooo pretty – understated elegance comes to mind
Def something I would wear

…. If I had a million dollars

Kooloo February 3, 2018 at 7:59 PM

Step 1. take 2 Red Hots and run them under warm water
Step 2. insert those Red Hot in each nostril
Step 3. count to ten

End Intevention!

bev February 3, 2018 at 8:00 PM

Red hots are good. One of my very favorite candies in elementary school. Haven’t had them in years.
Also love cinnamon bears, hot tamales, and big red.
And cinnamon altoids are my favorite.

But I hate spicy food, lol.

bev February 3, 2018 at 8:02 PM

I think I need to buy some. You know I don’t see them often and then saw them at one store, it was like seeing an old friend, lol.

Grey February 3, 2018 at 8:10 PM

OMG, I LOVE hot tamales… and sour patch kids, but… I tend to eat so many I’ll burn my tongue or the roof of my mouth and wont be able to eat them again for a while. *giggle*

*waves* Hi all, busy day for me, but I’m home again, finally.

Leslie M February 3, 2018 at 8:52 PM

Mmmmm….hot tamales.

Anyway, football books.

Has anyone mentioned Sweet Home by Tillie Cole or Crash series by Nicole Williams?

Tessa February 3, 2018 at 9:04 PM

Hot tamales in popcorn! It’s super yummy and it makes the red hots take longer to eat.

Would floo powder just smell like sulfer or a chimney fire? Also, Drink of Wizards, aka BUTTERBEER! OMG, that stuff is awesome. If anyone is able to go to Universal Studios in CA or FL, get butterbeer. Seriously, it’s super yummy. It’s like a mix of creme soda and butterscotch or caramel. It’s just yummy!

Tessa February 3, 2018 at 9:24 PM

Oh and she has a pick four, and it looks like it’s a mix and match thing. Try that… and add butterbeer. I want to get butterbeer. I can’t get any from ACOTAR because they all have citrus scents, but I love the idea of them.

Tessa February 3, 2018 at 9:34 PM

So far I want Dorian (lol, who is my favorite male in the series), Rowan, Experiment 626, Mermaid, Maven, Cal, Labyrinth, Goblin Woods, Drink of Wizards and probably way more! Actually, the Labyrinth ones would be awesome as a wedding present to my niece. She ADORES that movie.

bev February 3, 2018 at 9:45 PM

So who just ate a handful of red hots?
More spice than I remember.

A few years ago I bought a limited edition Christmas scented candle from Frost Beard studios. It was to smell like Christmas with the Weasley’s house. One of my favorite candles ever. It smelled like sugar cookies and Christmas tree. Like some thing was baking and then a whift of pine. Like I’d just walked past a Christmas tree.
Another fave was a Christmas one from Yankee candle I haven’t stumbled upon again.

Amy February 3, 2018 at 10:06 PM

Yet another thing I love about this place…it gives me ideas, ideas and MORE IDEAS!!!

I now have a “football” collection with a BUNCH of the books you guys recommended! What I didn’t already have I downloaded samples of, and now I have over a dozen football books to choose from when I get a hankering for them! :D

And I LOVED the Crash series, Leslie!

Amy February 3, 2018 at 10:09 PM

Mmmmmm…big chewy cinnamon bears. Love ‘em.

And Hot Tamales. But I have to hide them from hubby because he is too loud when he chews them and it annoys me like y’all wouldn’t believe.

Cheryl February 3, 2018 at 10:14 PM

Leslie, yes Sweet Home and Sweet Rome!! Loved it. I haven’t read the crash series-adding that one to my tbr.

bev February 3, 2018 at 10:19 PM

Tessa I couldn’t imagine. I love citrus. The fruits, the scent, lemon pie and cake, and candies. Just everything. Love lotions with the scent.

Amy February 3, 2018 at 10:25 PM

bev…do you have an Ipsy subscription? I’ve noticed a good amount of the facial cleansers and moisturizers I receive have citrus scents.

JulieO February 3, 2018 at 11:20 PM

Infinity series is one of my favorites.
Have any of you tried Love and Decay? Great zombie series. Kind of YA, fantastic action.
Kooloo, Kylie Scott has two great zombie books, Skin and Flesh. They are NOT YA.

Kooloo February 3, 2018 at 11:31 PM

yup yup I tots forgot that I need to finish that sexy zomb/apoc series
SKINNNN here I come
Thanks babe

Nay February 4, 2018 at 12:29 AM

Kooloo–did you get my GR rec. earlier today? What a coinkydink that you got another zombie rec. tonight on here!

Tessa February 4, 2018 at 1:09 AM

Bev, it sucks. lol I’m not going to lie. Before I knew, my favorite drink was pure orange juice or tangerine juice. Ah, well. There are tons of fruits and veggies I can still eat, so it could be so much worse. It could’ve been I’m allergic to cinnamon. That would SUCK.

R. Renee February 4, 2018 at 8:10 AM

My husband ate all my red hots so crisis averted. :-/

Diana February 4, 2018 at 9:13 AM

Ladies, I can’t stress enough: if you like slow burns or the Olympics you need to read Mariana Zapata’s latest From Lukov With Love. He may be my favorite hero yet. Idk. Maybe. I was so inspired I watched pairs figure skating on YT last night while I was getting ready for bed.

bev February 4, 2018 at 12:32 PM

Diana, I’m 20% in. Can’t wait for the practices to start for some more interaction between them.

Sheena February 4, 2018 at 1:19 PM

A new Zapata book???

*hunts for credit card*

Excuse me, my new mission in life is calling.

Once I’ve devoured it I’ll be back to peek at the rest for February

Kooloo February 4, 2018 at 2:37 PM

Yes Naynay thank you for the rec! I looked on iBooks (Apple girl right here :) ) and it’s $9.99 o.o. Same price on amazon tooo

So I went to my second home AUDIBLE and it’s only $7.29 with my members discount – I’ll start Monday morning on my drive to work
Squeeeee so excited!

Kandace February 4, 2018 at 2:40 PM

I just fibished Mariana Zapata’s newest. It was beyond perfect. Gah! Now I don’t know what to read next. Her books always leave me with a hangover.

Amy February 4, 2018 at 2:55 PM

You “fibished” it, Kandace? *giggle* I love autocorrect goofs. Although, “fibished” sounds like when we try to talk after ugly crying. ;)

JEAN!!!! Talk me down, Jean!! I know you’re probably all tied up with the Super Bowl and your beloved Eagles (Philly Philly!!!) but my brain is in overdrive with Ryan’s Bed and if it’s going where I *think* it’s going, I am dying to skip to the end for the three words. TALK. ME. DOWN.

Kooloo February 4, 2018 at 2:55 PM

Also if you are Amazon Prime members the Audible Romance Package is still only $6.95 or you can try it for FREE for 30 days.

They have a New section I discovered last night called “Touchdown” with over 30 Foosball themed audiobooks – that’s were I’ve been all last night and this morning :)

Almost done my second one called “Most Valuable Playboy” by Lauren Blakely oh course teehee
It’s read by Zachary Webber who voice is the sex baby ;)

Tessa February 4, 2018 at 3:21 PM

AMY! DON’T! I thought the three words would be something else, honestly. It’s still a WTF, but not too out there. Just keep reading, no cheating!!

Tessa February 4, 2018 at 3:22 PM

I love how everyone is now calling Football, foosball. Who needs a field when you got a table? :P

Amy February 4, 2018 at 3:35 PM

The struggle is real, Tessa. IT’S REAL. It would be sooooo easy to just…swipe…over…to…the…UGH!! Just keep telling me not to, m’kay? *sigh*

Foosball reminds me of Kathy Bates in Waterboy. That, and her calling the girl a godless jezebel. LOL!!

Diana February 4, 2018 at 3:50 PM

Amy: don’t do it! The ending won’t be nearly as meaningful if you don’t read the whole thing.

Diana February 4, 2018 at 3:51 PM

Kandace: ikr?! I re-read the ending like 3 times Bc I didn’t want it to be over! Anyone have a good “what to read after a Mariana Zapata Hangover” book list?

Tessa February 4, 2018 at 3:54 PM

Oh I finished Heart of Fire. It was really good, but I have one complaint. No epilogue. Yes, epilogue. You all who read it know what she was up against and it was great, but I need a little more at the end. I want to see my HEA after all that struggle, darn it!

Tessa February 4, 2018 at 3:55 PM

Foosball just reminds me of a childhood spent playing a lot of foosball. The daycare I went to had a game room, and that was my favorite there. Admittedly, most of the time I was outside on the playground or doing gymnastics, but inside, FOOSBALL!

Maryse February 4, 2018 at 4:18 PM

LOL! I laughed so hard at that scene in Waterboy… many scenes… even

“A man’s supposed to have stinky feet.”

Ew. LOL!

Maryse February 4, 2018 at 4:20 PM

I’m on it too, Sheena. I LOVE HER!!!!

And yay Kandace for letting us know how awesome it is. :D !!!!!

Kooloo February 4, 2018 at 4:23 PM

Amy February 4, 2018 at 4:35 PM

LOL!!! I loved Kathy Bates in that movie! Heck, I love her in just about everything she is in. Even AHS. But I didn’t like seeing her nekkid in About Schmidt. *shakes head rapidly* Kudos to her though for being confident enough to do that!

bev February 4, 2018 at 4:57 PM

DO IT, Amy!

Do it right now.

You know you want to know.

Just look at those 3 little words.

I mean will it really live up to the anticipation?

I think not!

bev February 4, 2018 at 5:00 PM

Now every time I say that I want to shop.

Amy February 4, 2018 at 5:03 PM

*whips head back and forth between Diana and bev*

Dammit bev!

Let’s just go shopping.

Kooloo February 4, 2018 at 5:18 PM

spent 3 hours on there yesterday

Maryse February 4, 2018 at 5:22 PM

I’M IN!!!!

*rubs hands together with gleeeee!!*

Amy February 4, 2018 at 5:22 PM

Etsy is the DEVIL!!

(channeling Kathy Bates in Waterboy there :P )

I could spend a small fortune on Etsy…

Tessa February 4, 2018 at 5:36 PM

bev February 4, 2018 at 5:37 PM

So, how many of you try to use the last drop of something even if you don’t really like It?
Like i was looking at my conditioner bottles turned upside down, lol. Or the leave in I hated so I put it in right before I was my hair like a precondition. The face lotion that made me break out so just for hands, lol.

Amy February 4, 2018 at 5:46 PM

We’re shopping for STUFFS!!! Lots and lots of stuffs. Etsy stuffs!!

Don’t worry Tessa…I’m holding strong right now. Despite bev’s best efforts. I’ll just hug her if she tries to tempt me again.

bev February 4, 2018 at 6:10 PM

I want to try The Homesick Candles, those state ones. But so expensive. I just can’t do it.

I did some internet shopping around a month ago. Mmm. Maybe longer. It came in this pretty bright box and lots of samples. It’s fun to treat yourself every once in awhile like that.

Amy, I had the Goodbeing box for a few months and it was fun, but not IPSY.

I do need to go buy some grocery store stuffs soon.

bev February 4, 2018 at 6:43 PM

I’ve been reading all day. Yay.

I just got to the part were Lacey is in a time out. Lol.

Tessa February 4, 2018 at 7:11 PM
Amy February 4, 2018 at 7:24 PM

Tessa…I had to keep looking at all the items in that shop and saw THIS:

Kooloo February 4, 2018 at 7:42 PM
Kooloo February 4, 2018 at 7:47 PM
Tessa February 4, 2018 at 9:28 PM

OMG, you have to tell me how it tastes. My niece is getting married in April and I already want to get her the candle sampler and get her a bunch of Labyrinth candles.

Leslie M February 4, 2018 at 9:57 PM

Amy, the Crash series is one of our “back in the day indie” feels one. The H even reminded me of Travis.

Amy February 4, 2018 at 10:29 PM

YES Leslie!! Jude was so troubled and very much like a high school-aged Travis, and we got to watch him change and mature through college. I loved it! :D

Amy February 4, 2018 at 10:31 PM
Tessa February 4, 2018 at 10:52 PM

I have to say first, congrats Jean! Her Eagles won!

And wow, that drink looks gooooood! Butterbeer =Yummy.. Alcoholic Butterbeer = tipsy and yummy. :P

bev February 4, 2018 at 11:53 PM

Finished the new MZ. I liked but didn’t love it.
I kind of wanted more figure skating. Seeing them on the circuit more and interacting with other skaters. Plus, there was an element to the agreement between the two of them that I thought would add more tension than it did.
But I did like it and I finished a book.

Jean February 5, 2018 at 9:55 AM

I’m hungover, but so, so, so HAPPY today!!!!! What a nerveracking game! Pacing, biting, my nails, major anxiety…..Yay Eagles!!!! And we’re closing the office for the parade!

Tessa February 5, 2018 at 10:51 AM

That’s awesome! And it was a great game. And an awesome quarterback. :)

Jean February 5, 2018 at 10:55 AM

Yes Tessa! This city is electric right now!

Amy February 5, 2018 at 11:47 AM

That game was a NAILBITER!! So happy for your home team, Jean. :D

Jean February 5, 2018 at 11:51 AM

Thanks Amy!!!! It is sooooo exciting!!
