Kooloo–that was my first football book too! And, unfortunately, I gave it a pretty crappy review. I read up to #4 and like you, I think I have #5 and #6. But I just looked and the series is up to 14 books now!
I’ve got an entire Football series for you, Kooloo. It’s the Infinity series by Layne Harper. The hero starts as a popular college player who goes pro and the series is an epic love story that follows their romance. Very angsty! I got the first one, Falling into Infinity, for free and then I couldn’t stop reading and read them all back to back. There are 6 books in the official series, but the first four cover the story arc for this couple.

I know there’s a lotta love out there for The Idea Of You, and I respect that, but, respectfully, it just wasn’t for me. Older woman younger man, OK. But in this case the age gap was just TOO MUCH and I just couldn’t get past it. (39 almost 40 to twenty I’m not even legal to buy a drink? Just no).
I have loved some OWYM books e.g. The Fall by Nia Forrester is terrific, but the age gap isn’t so big.

Like was it arena football or something? Didn’t seem like the NFL.
It was NFL, but not much detail. I don’t think the author knows football like she knows soccer.
It was one of the reasons I didn’t like the book as much. Just kept stumbling up against it.

Ok, I know what you all are thinking. “Oh, Leslie rec’d Behind the Bars…must be an easy-breezy read.” It is not! In fact when you read it, you will scratch your head and think “Leslie liked this tear-jerker???”
Its def not my typical book, it was very difficult to read, super emotional but I LOVED EVERY SINGLE WORD. I fell HARD for Elliot. I loved the h too and so many of the characters. Her step dad, Elliots mom, sis and uncle. Gah!!! I am getting emotional just thinking about it. It was a beautiful story and will go down as an all time fave for me.
I want to read it Leslie! I think you just made my decision for me! I love all of her books…. she never disappoints me!

Great writing, and fantastic little details during conversations that made the conversations flow naturally. The characters came to life and moved as if I were watching a movie.

Nay, I LOVED the Infinity series- I think that is my fav football series.

Red hots are good. One of my very favorite candies in elementary school. Haven’t had them in years.
Also love cinnamon bears, hot tamales, and big red.
And cinnamon altoids are my favorite.
But I hate spicy food, lol.

Hot tamales in popcorn! It’s super yummy and it makes the red hots take longer to eat.
Would floo powder just smell like sulfer or a chimney fire? Also, Drink of Wizards, aka BUTTERBEER! OMG, that stuff is awesome. If anyone is able to go to Universal Studios in CA or FL, get butterbeer. Seriously, it’s super yummy. It’s like a mix of creme soda and butterscotch or caramel. It’s just yummy!
Oh and she has a pick four, and it looks like it’s a mix and match thing. Try that… and add butterbeer. I want to get butterbeer. I can’t get any from ACOTAR because they all have citrus scents, but I love the idea of them.
So far I want Dorian (lol, who is my favorite male in the series), Rowan, Experiment 626, Mermaid, Maven, Cal, Labyrinth, Goblin Woods, Drink of Wizards and probably way more! Actually, the Labyrinth ones would be awesome as a wedding present to my niece. She ADORES that movie.

A few years ago I bought a limited edition Christmas scented candle from Frost Beard studios. It was to smell like Christmas with the Weasley’s house. One of my favorite candles ever. It smelled like sugar cookies and Christmas tree. Like some thing was baking and then a whift of pine. Like I’d just walked past a Christmas tree.
Another fave was a Christmas one from Yankee candle I haven’t stumbled upon again.
Yet another thing I love about this place…it gives me ideas, ideas and MORE IDEAS!!!
I now have a “football” collection with a BUNCH of the books you guys recommended! What I didn’t already have I downloaded samples of, and now I have over a dozen football books to choose from when I get a hankering for them! 😀

Oh I finished Heart of Fire. It was really good, but I have one complaint. No epilogue. Yes, epilogue. You all who read it know what she was up against and it was great, but I need a little more at the end. I want to see my HEA after all that struggle, darn it!

Finished the new MZ. I liked but didn’t love it.
I kind of wanted more figure skating. Seeing them on the circuit more and interacting with other skaters. Plus, there was an element to the agreement between the two of them that I thought would add more tension than it did.
But I did like it and I finished a book.
I’m hungover, but so, so, so HAPPY today!!!!! What a nerveracking game! Pacing, biting, my nails, major anxiety…..Yay Eagles!!!! And we’re closing the office for the parade!
