Happy 4th of July!! On my wonderful day off, I’ve indulged in some fun-freebie searching (it’s my hobby within my hobby), and I think I’ve found a few that might be right up our alley!
I’ve linked up a bunch of the freebies (and bargain books), that caught my eye. In fact, a few in this list really got me excited, and I feel my TBR list shifting yet again. Off to read, I go!
NOTE: Free and bargain priced when I added them, but prices can change on Amazon, so make sure to check before you finalize your order.
Free and bargain e-books that you can read on your Kindle, or even on your computer with the Kindle software. (NOOK USERS: I’ve been told that often, many of these freebies and bargains are also available on the Nook).
- Tricked Truths – by Beth Kery (Latest update —> Kristin just found us this freebie!!)
- Killer Kisses by Sharon Buchbinder
- In the Midnight Rain by Barbara Samuel
- Thoroughbreds and Trailer Trash by Bev Pettersen —> (rich tycoon trying to take over the ladies horse-deal thingie)
- Jockeys and Jewels by Bev Pettersen —>and here’s another “horse-inspired” freebie from the same author. Lots of great reviews on these!
- Taking Instruction (Taboo) by Cheyenne McCray (fairly obvious as to why we’d probably enjoy this one 😉 ) Katie from my Facebook page said: “If you are looking for a free, easy read…check this one out. I read it in an afternoon. People compare it to Fifty but it doesn’t even come close. But it does have lots of BDSM if you are into that.”
- Date with the Devil (A Classic Romance) by Mallory Rush –> shipwrecked on a deserted island? I like those!!
- Heteroflexibility: A Romantic Comedy by Mary Beth Daniels
- CLOCKWISE (book one in the Clockwise series) by Elle Strauss —-> I’m bringing this one back on the list since i just received an enthusiastic recommendation for it, by Andrea: “This was on your free list a while back and it’s still free today. It is such a fun book! I didn’t put it down once and I’ve already d/l the second one. It’s very YA, but still so good. I can’t wait to finish the series!”
- A Wanton’s Thief (Thieves and Lovers, Book One) by Titania Ladley
- Too Close For Comfort by Eve Gaddy
- The Long Road Home by Jenna Pizzi (ohhh you guys!! This one does look good. Not many reviews yet, but all good, and the synopsis… yep. I downloaded immediately.)
- Facades and Truth by Valicity Garris (no reviews yet on this one, but if the writing is good, this could be an interesting one..)
- Infatuation by E. Hughes
- Samson’s Lovely Mortal (Scanguards Vampires #1) by Tina Folsom —> Jennifer just emailed me saying this one is still free! (popular vampire series) “I was going through some of your reading lists and thought you might like to know that Samson’s Lovely Mortal (Scanguards Vampires #1) is free on Amazon right now.”
BARGAINS:
- City of Bones (book #1 in the Mortal Instruments series) by Cassandra Clare (ohhh this is one VERY popular YA series)!! Often recommended. Thanks to Kristin and Tracy for pointing it out!
- LOVESCENES by Sandra Marton –> Okay I chose this one ’cause he’s a rock star. Synopsis looks cute, too. No reviews on it yet, but author is a USA Today bestseller.
- CAGED (Book 1, The Caged Series) by Amber Lynn Natusch –> this one was just vehemently recommended by one of our Facebook reading friends!! Tiffany said: “okay…Well I just read the first book in the CAGED Series and it was Super GOOD!!!!!! Its by Amber Lynn Natusch…I found out about the Book on Samantha Towle’s facebook page….It is gonna be a really good SERIES of BOOKS..I LOVED IT!!!!” She went on to say more that totally cinched it for me (keyword EIT series)!!
- HAUNTED (Book 2, The Caged Series) by Amber Lynn Natusch
- FRAMED (Book 3, The Caged Series) by Amber Lynn Natusch
- Private Pleasures (Private Series) by Jami Alden (a short one, but looks good)
- Private Paradise (Private Series) by Jami Alden (and another one…)
- Cold Feet In Hot Sand by Lauren Gallagher –> It’s a short story, but I LOVED another book from this author (Damaged Goods), so I’m DEFINITELY reading this one ASAP.
- CLOCKED (A Novelette Companion to Clockwise) by Elle Strauss (this is the short story right after the CLOCKWISE FREEBIE above).
- CLOCKWISER (Book 2 in the Clockwise series) –> and the next one after that
- Like Clockwork (A Clockwise Series Companion Novel) by Elle Strauss (hrrmmm I think I just need to turn these into a reading order guide 😉 )
- Try Me (Take a Chance) by Diane Alberts –> Yes. That’s right Sometimes I add books because of their covers. Tee hee! Good reviews but I think it’s a short, though.
- Witch Way Bends (Book 1 of the Bend-Bite-Shift Trilogy) by Olivia Hardin
- Through Her Eyes by Beth Kery (latest bargain find update today!) <—- dominant alpha!!
- Exorcising Sean’s Ghost by Beth Kery <—- Oh wow I think I must red this one!!
- Flirting in Traffic by Beth Kery –> looks good, but the main complaint by reviewers is the editing in the character conversations… I wonder if it’s been fixed?
Don’t have a Kindle? That’s okay, you can read these on your computer or phone with Kindle Apps:
Download Kindle for PC
Download Kindle for MAC
Download Kindle for iPhone
Download Kindle for Blackberry
Download Kindle for iPad (that’s how I’m reading these!)

Hello! I wanted to just write you to say thank you for your awesome blog! My husband gave me an iPad for my birthday, and I am overwhelmed with all the things I want to do! LOL I had done a search for romance books and found you. I was so excited b/c it’s very hard to find really good romance book reviews. Your blog is just what I needed! I downloaded the Nook app, and my first two books are The falling Star, and Beautiful Disaster. Can’t wait to get started. Will be following your blog from now on! Happy 4th! Cheer and Smiles your way! Amy

Thanks Maryse , I had all the freebies , and will check the bargains in a few !! Happy July 4th
Hey Maryse,
So I checked out the Cage series you mentioned in your bargain books and it was sooooooo good. Let’s just say I finished all three books that she has out within a day while taking care of my 2 yr old and 7 week old baby. You had me hooked when you mentioned EIT. Storyline is a little different but the chemistry between the main characters has you wanting more. Definitely put this on your reading list.
Ohhhh thank you Joy for letting me know!! I’m getting awesome feedback on it so I will DEFINITELY read it. Especially ’cause of that tension thing. YAY!!!
Everyone should buy City of Bones right now! I bought it at the $10.99 rate, and regret nothing! The series (The Mortal Instruments) is amazing- as is its companion series (The Infernal Devices). Take advantage of the .99 rate and get sucked right into a completely addictive world and cast of characters.
