I’m back! I had a great time over at Lily’s Blog this week (I think my mom and I highjacked her blog comments) but we all had a good laugh (and we intro’d my mom to a few new hunky heros).
I figured I’d start the day off with some author news.
- J.R Ward CHAT SCHEDULED!!! (including author Jessica Andersen) —> Friday November 12th at 8pm EST (that’s TONIGHT people!) – here is the link to the chatroom (it won’t open until 20 minutes before the chat starts).
- Lots of news for Larissa Ione! Here is a tidbit from her new FAQ page about the Demonica Series (I’m thrilled cause I wasn’t ready to say goodbye to them yet!):
Is Sin Undone the last book in the Demonica series?
~ANSWER: Erm…well…sort of. See, here’s the deal: The Lords of Deliverance series, which starts with Eternal Rider (Lords of Deliverance) in April 2011, is set in the Demonica world and features a lot of the main characters. You WILL see the old characters, many of whom play large roles, so you’ll be caught up on who gets pregnant, gets mated, etc. Basically, the Lords of Deliverance is a continuation of the Demonica series, even though it features new players. I do plan a Demonica novella that’ll release next fall in an anthology with Alexandra Ivy, GA Aiken, and Jacquelyn Frank, and then I would really like to do a book for Reaver and MAYBE books for the Sem kids. The possibility for more Demonica books truly rests with how good my sales are and if the publisher wants more of them.
- Larissa Ione tells us that Sin Undone (Demonica, Book 5) was named one of Amazon’s Best 10 Romances for 2010!! There is also word of an upcoming e-book release for her story entitled “Eternity Embraced”.
- Chloe Neill has posted chapter ONE of her upcoming Hexbound (Dark Elite, Book 2)
- Gena Showalter has posted some excerpts and updates! She’s already up to chapter 12 in her rough draft of Dark Taste of Rapture (Noelle Tremain’s story) and it will be released August 1st 2011. Also!! Ecstasy in Darkness (Alien Huntress, Book 5) is on both the New York Times and USA Today Best Seller List!
- Gena Showalter is also scheduled to “chat” Tuesday November 16th 4-5pm EST at “Pocket After Dark”
- Jaye Wells is currently working on “Silver-Tongued Devil”
- Jeri Smith-Ready tweets that she is “itching” to start her “rewrites” of “Let it Bleed”. She also tweets about her free Amazon ebook: “The Wild’s Call is just a short story, written originally as a 20-part serial for my publisher’s website. 🙂
- Jill Myles has been inspired! She tweeted: “So I just got the most FAB idea for a sequel to the book I am writing right now. Oh brain, some days you overjoy me.” – Yay! Anytime one of my fav authors is excited about writing a sequel, then that means more goodies for me!
- Anya Bast blogs about writing her latest book Jeweled
- Last day to win books from Chris Marie Green!
- Last day to win an advanced signed copy of Pale Demon (The Hollows) by Kim Harrison
- Devon Monk posts her scheduled appearances (for this weekend)
- Karen Marie Moning posts pics of her lastest book Shadowfever (old news, I know, but just look at it!! I’m so excited!) Since I won’t be holding the actual one in my hands…(i’m an e-book girl), at least I get to look at how shiny it is via her pics. While i’m on the topic of the lastest book, here’s a link to the Launch Party Details.
- Katie MacAlister posts “Ben and Fran: The Future” I want to read her post so bad but there’s a spolier alert, and I’m anti-spoiler, so here’s the link instead.
- Kresley Cole tweets: “Re: Regin’s book. Look for an excerpt Decemberish!”
More to follow! I’m still stalking 😉
