Lick was so good! Can’t wait for Play! I grew up in the 70’s an d 80’s so my rock tastes lean more old school with everything from Led Zeppelin to Metallica. But honestly I love everything from Godsmack to Michael Franti and a whole lot of in between. Good music is good music! And good books are good books and I sure can’t get enough of those! Kylie Scott is definitely one of my favorites. 😀

Took my 3 year daughter old to kiddie music class at Peabody in MD. During class they started doing a rhythm exercise using “Ba Ba Ba.” My daughter interpreted it her own way and started singing “Gold on the Ceiling” by the Black Keys as the other kids were repeating the rhythm. The teacher looked at me and I just shrugged and said we were fans. Every time I hear Black Keys I smile.
All time favorite band is Linkin Park. I loved Lick. Read it in 5 hours cause I couldn’t put it down!!! So excited for Play!!! I love that she calls Mal “demented” lol

LOVED LICK and am super excited for PLAY. My favourite band moment was seeing U2 in the friends and family section with my 3 brothers a few years ago. We all live in different cities and my brother scored us the tickets as a surprise. He told me because I’m a girl and he knew I’d want to doll myself up but my other 2 brothers had no idea. Their reaction was priceless, the concert was AMAZING and it was a night I’ll never forget.
This was one oft best rock star books I’ve read in a longtime! I can’t wait until the next book comes out! Hurry!!

I met Adam Levine and was totally shaking, nervous – starstruck! He’s every bit as nice & charming as you’d hope, & has this way of making every girl he meets feel special. When taking a picture w/him, he grabbed me around the waist pulling me to him. He was like, “Don’t be afraid, I’m not gonna bite you! Come on, you have such a beautiful smile, let’s see it!” Then he gave me like the most amazing hug ever! 🙂

– As for music and bands, I really love most genres from the 70’s, 80’s, 90’s to present day. Some of my favorite bands include Bon Jovi, Matchbox 20, John Cougar Mellencamp, Pearl Jam, Aerosmith, Ozzy, Train, Maroon 5, and more.
– When I was in my teens, Jon Bon Jovi was coming to my hometown for a concert. His band rented trailors from the place that I worked at. The trailors were for the band to get ready in before/after concert because it was an outside venue. I got to clean the trailors and received free concert tickets for me and some of my friends. The concert was a blast!!! After the concert, I had to clean out their trailor again. Someone in the band left behind empty champaign bottles and one pair of men’s bikini underwear! It made me laugh, and I still wonder to this day who’s underwear was left behind! 🙂
Just saw Justin Moore last night and he has a couple new awesome songs off his off the beaten path album I’m loving!
Right now I like Imagine Dragons, The Script, Kings of Leon, Linkin Park, oh there are just to many.
My favorite band right now has been Linkin Park for about the last 10 years. They are amazing! My favorite memory is seeing Bush at Red Rocks in high school then camping out in the parking lot with my boyfriend who is my husband now to be front row for the second night. What an awesome experience!

Oh, how I loved Lick! Kylie Scott’s got everything to offer as a writer, but I think I like how she handles all those internal moments. Her characters are always just complex enough and ‘normal’ enough to make me certain that we’ll be bumping into each other on the street one of these days. Fave personal rocker moment? Seeing both U2 and INXS perform live in small-ish venues back in the day 🙂

How did I miss this!!! Oh, well! I’m old school – my favorite group is Def Leppard. I’ve been to every concert they have here in Nashville, but I had never got to meet them until…my son, who was staying home sick from school and was bored, entered my name in a contest (and I mean like about 1000 times). I won a backstage meet and greet with the band!!! Let’s just say, I cried, squealed, making my boss laugh, scaring my husband when I called him, and I took my son with me that night! Best night ever! Well, until me and my sister-in-law went the next year and sat 3rd row and security had to bring her back to her seat 3 times. The kicker – we’re both over 40! We just won’t grow up.

One of my favorite singers is Jim Bianco he is a singer song writer. I love him but he is from the East coast and at the time lved on the West coast so he was doing a tour and I thought no way would he EVER come to Iowa sure enough he was scheduled an hour from me I almost got fired for taking the weekend off but I got tickets and forced my best friend to go with me to see him. Before he sang he was signing stuff I walked up to him speechless then turned into a babbling idiot! It was still to this day one of the hghlights of my life!
