in Latest Book Releases

HOLY MOLY we’re having an awesome Monday again!!!! These earlybird surprise releases look as good as tomorrow’s list is gonna be (I posted them below, too).

And then… yesterday?? It was crazy in surprise releases, too so I’ve reposted them here, in case you missed them. In fact there were three from yesterday’s list and now three more from today’s that I want to read so badly. Immediately.

  1. The Wright Brother by K.A. Linde <— JUST WENT LIVE!!!! SHE ONCE DATED HIS BROTHER… and now that she’s back in town, “...I couldn’t resist our charged chemistry, or the way he fit into my life like a missing puzzle piece. Too bad he’d forgotten the one thing that could destroy us. Because Jensen Wright doesn’t share. Not with anyone. And if his brother finds out, this could all go down in flames...”
  2. Cole by Tijan <— TIJAN ALERT!!!!! HER LATEST MAFIA ROMANCE JUST WENT LIVE EARLY! “…Our eyes met for a fleeting second before the doors closed, and I was staggered. My breath was robbed. My senses on high alert. My body hummed. That was just the beginning. He was the leader of the mafia. I was about to fall in love with him…”
  3. Undeclared (Burnham College Book 2) by Julianna Keyes <— IT’S LIVE!!!!!! I went crazy for book #1, and now there’s more. YAY ME!!!! Both can be read as standalones, but I suggest reading #1, too, if you haven’t yet. It’s got that awesome old-school new adult feel. “…Kellan thought he’d moved past that last summer’s heartbreak, but with Andi sitting next to him in class, befriending his friends, and battling for the same once-in-a-lifetime job opportunity, he’s starting to remember why he hated her…and why he loved her.  Kellan has a long list of reasons that falling for Andi again is a terrible idea, though every new moment together challenges that theory. But Andi’s all too familiar with Kellan’s love ’em and leave ’em approach—and she’s found someone else to get serious about...” P.S. Here’s my review for book #1
  4. Making Changes by Lila Rose <— LIVE!! SHE’S LEAVING HER HUSBAND & STARTING OVER… “This is my chance to begin again, to rip my backbone out and yell, “I’ve found it.” It may take time, it may take new friends, a job and even a jerk of a boss who is annoyingly handsome, but I will get there…”
  5. Something in the Way by Jessica Hawkins <— LIVE!!! SHE’S TOO YOUNG FOR HIM… OMG!!! This sounds angsty as all get out!!!!!!!!!! Older “blue collar” man, and they go CRAZY for each other upon sight, but she’s too young and then… “…no matter how much you achieve, none of it matters if you suffer the heartbreak that comes with falling for someone you can never have. Because even though I saw Manning first, that didn’t matter. My older sister saw him next…<— eekeek OOOMPH!! BLURB JOLT ALERT!!
  6. Mr. Popular: A Falling For My Brother’s Best Friend Romance by Nicole London <— LIVE!! SHE HATES HER BROTHER’S BEST FRIEND ALERT!!!We became friends–close friends, but right when I thought he could possibly turn into my everything, he made it clear that what we had was nothing.  Now that’s he’s a senior, and I only have to deal with him for one more year, I’ve vowed to keep repeating the same set of rules to myself. Especially since he seems so hell-bent on wanting to talk to me for some reason, and especially since he seems to be staring at me every time we’re in the same room together…
  7. Blackbird (Redemption Book 1) by Molly McAdams <— MOLLY MCADAMS ALERT!!! HE’S BROKEN DARK ROMANCE READ (and he’s buying her… He’s dark and damaged and he’s there to BUY her… “I’ve perfected the lethal calm required for this life. Now it’s time to buy my first girl. But all it takes is one look at the brave girl who starts singing mid-auction for that calm to slip. Briar Chapman is going to be the death of me, and I don’t care. I’ll take every day with her until that death comes, and I’ll welcome it
  8. Lines Drawn by Ker Dukey <— LIVE!!! KER DUKEY ALERT!! I have NO clue what this blurb means but it sounds angsty!! “One phone call. One secret. One moment changed us all.  Everything is different now and learning to survive all over again comes with a price…
  9. Don’t Speak (a modern fairytale Book 5) by Katy Regnery <— LIVE!! KATY REGNERY’S LATEST JUST WENT LIVE!! Oh wow! I’m dying to know the terrifying depths of the secrets!!! That part of the blurb gave me a jolt for sure! Small town girl meets worldly man… “The two spend a whirlwind summer together that ends on the knife-point of heartbreak and forces them to go their separate ways. Years later, when fate finds them together once again, they will discover the terrifying depth of the secrets they kept from each other…
  10. From A Distance by L.M. Carr <— LIVE!!! SHE JUST LOST HER HUSBAND & A MOTORCYCLE RACER ALERT!…when tragedy strikes, Karrie is devastated and left to face the consequences of her husband’s deepest, darkest secrets. Discovering the strength to carry on while making important, life-changing decisions, she finds herself desperate for answers. And holding the key to the puzzle is the one man she loathes immensely…
  11. The Hot One by Lauren Blakely <—LAUREN BLAKELY’S LATEST IS LIVE!!! LOL!!!  sounds all like sorts of infuriating fun! He went to her work NAKED to try and get her back… “The nerve of Tyler Nichols to reappear like that at my job, showing off his rock-hard body that drove me wild far too many nights. That man with his knowing grin and mischievous eyes is nothing but a cocky jerk to saunter back into my life…”
  12. MISTER WRONG by Nicole Williams <— WHOOPS!! SHE MARRIES THE WRONG TWIN ALERT!! OMG HOLY MOLY this blurb!!! She’s about to marry a twin, but he doesn’t show up at the altar eek (*gasp*), so his identical twin brother (her best friend) steps in!!! <— eekeek (*double gasp*!!!!) “She always knew she’d wind up marrying one of them, and Jacob Adams is the epitome of Mister Right. At least until he fails to show up for their wedding. As Jacob’s best man, and identical twin, Matt makes a split-second decision that will affect the three of their lives forever—he steps in to take his brother’s place. In front of the altar, exchanging vows with the woman he’s secretly been in love with for years. But Cora finds out about the groom swap. The morning after the wedding…
  13. End of Eden (Se7en Sinners Book 2) by S.L. Jennings <— LIVE!!! S.L. JENNINGS ALERT!! This is the sequel to book #1 (she was created for death & destruction and this part of the blurb doesn’t spoil anything ’cause it’s sort of similar to blurb #1): “I thought I knew what Hell was like. I thought I had been living it all these years on Earth—abandoned, forgotten, and left with a dangerous secret that not only made me the Se7en’s #1 target but also turned me into a deadly weapon, a threat to every human in my path. I was wrong…
  14. Sexy Six by Ahren Sanders <— LIVE!!! FOOTBALL STAR ALERT! “NFL Golden boy, Super Bowl MVP, and the league’s hottest player–on and off the field. To most, I’m a celebrity, with the records to prove it. Fame, fortune, family… I’ve got it all. Except Grace Monroe…”
  15. Sweet Victory (Fighting for Love) by Gina Maxwell <— SHE HAS TO GET MARRIED FOR HER INHERITANCE & HE’S A FIGHTER ALERT!!!He’s on the brink of a comeback that could make him a UFC champion, but his landlord wants to take away his last chance by shutting down his gym. Hell, no. Fortunately, his landlord’s niece has a problem of her own. Time for a proposal she can’t refuse…
  16. Dark Protector by Celia Aaron <— HE’S A KILLER & HE’S OBSESSED WITH HER ALERT!! “From the moment I saw her through the window of her flower shop, something other than darkness took root inside me. Charlie shone like a beacon in a world that had long since lost any light. But she was never meant for me, a man that killed without remorse...”

First again!! Is everybody sleeping?

R. Renee February 27, 2017 at 10:23 AM

I need to read Katy Regnery. I keep hearing good things.

Julie Clark February 27, 2017 at 10:29 AM

C.D. Breadner’s latest Red Rebels MC book “Shelter” was released this weekend I think. I LOVE this series! Breadner is up there with Lauren Gilley and Madeline Sheehan for MC books in my opinion!

Amy February 27, 2017 at 10:52 AM

HOLY MOLY!!!! Undeclared, Making Changes, Something in the Way, Lines Drawn, Don’t Speak, From a Distance, Mr. Wrong…*THUNK*

I think I just had a bookgasm.

Ela February 27, 2017 at 10:59 AM

Monday’s seem to be the new Tuesdays???

Ela February 27, 2017 at 11:16 AM

Robin, I really liked her The Vixen and the Vet.

Tessa February 27, 2017 at 11:19 AM

Lol I got End of Eden last night. Some details from the first we’re sketchy in my mind, so I’m enjoying rereading it first. :D I forgot just how angsty it is!

Tomorrow’s list… I just can’t. Nope. That’s pure insanity.

Grey February 27, 2017 at 11:19 AM

I quit. Seriously, what the f with this list, Maryse? What was I thinking??? Seriously I should have given up eating before buying books…

Tessa February 27, 2017 at 11:28 AM

R. I’ve only read one of hers, Never Let You Go. 5 stars a D very Marmy.

Oh, and yeah. When you posted first, I probably was asleep. :P

Ela February 27, 2017 at 11:39 AM

Oh Tessa! I loved that one too!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Ela February 27, 2017 at 11:45 AM

The name Ker Dukey ALONE gives me the chills and hairs stand on my arms!

ashley February 27, 2017 at 12:02 PM

Devil in Spring came out last week – it was great!

Robyn February 27, 2017 at 12:49 PM

Looks like there will be a lot of Birthday pressies for me tomorrow!

Tessa February 27, 2017 at 1:30 PM

OOOH a birthday tomorrow! On a Tuesday. That’s always a good book day too. I’m not saying anything until tomorrow, though. Nope. :P

I looked at the non mobile site and I was wrong. I was awake then! Only for an hour at that point, but I was technically awake.

Leslie M February 27, 2017 at 1:36 PM

Hey Bev!!!! Guess what I am reading (well, listening to)?!?!

I hardly ever do “sweet YA” but I needed something to listen to while doing chores and it was available at library.

I’m definitely earning BFF credits today. ;)

Lisa Aiello February 27, 2017 at 1:43 PM

If I haven’t already said it – The Butterfly Project is a beautiful story. Nothing too angsty – but Beckett is a must have book boyfriend.

Ela February 27, 2017 at 2:18 PM

Yeeeehaaaaaaaaaaaa Trailer Park Trash is a classic

Ela February 27, 2017 at 2:38 PM

R. Renee February 27, 2017 at 3:23 PM

Thanks for the recs! I hate it when I comment and forget to actually sign up for followups! I was like, man it’s quiet today!

Amy February 27, 2017 at 3:28 PM

OMG Ela… *snort*

The Other Woman by Jane Green is 1.99 normally 9.99 (the “other woman” isn’t who you would think it is ;) ) and Local Girls is also 1.99 normally 11.99…the average rating is t very high but that doesn’t always matter. Click!

bev February 27, 2017 at 4:43 PM

*high fives Leslie*

The ebook is on super sale today. 1.99.

MichelleS February 27, 2017 at 5:31 PM

You guys!!! Carina Cole, the author of Torn, just “liked” my review of her book on Goodreads! Eek! Fan-girling over here. I didn’t realize that people who weren’t my friends could read my reviews?!? And… I feel bad now about my reviews of her other books! Ugh.

MichelleS February 27, 2017 at 5:32 PM

Carian Cole – stupid auto correct…

MichelleS February 27, 2017 at 5:34 PM

Julie – like Sheehan & Gilley? You’ve got my attention.. going to check out that MC series! Yay me

R. Renee February 27, 2017 at 5:37 PM

MichelleS is your account private? If it isn’t anybody can read your reviews, comment, like, etc.

Leslie M February 27, 2017 at 6:05 PM

Bev, the audio is excellent!

Amy February 27, 2017 at 7:00 PM
R. Renee February 27, 2017 at 7:01 PM

*That’s* your problem with this book???

Amy February 27, 2017 at 7:16 PM

*thinks about it*

Yep R…I can’t get past the cover. :?

R. Renee February 27, 2017 at 7:17 PM

I can’t get past the title.

Amy February 27, 2017 at 7:17 PM

Speaking of Dumplin’…I know it’s a little late in the day, but it’s on sale for 1.99 for today only. ;)

Amy February 27, 2017 at 7:18 PM

*snicker* That poor book doesn’t have a chance with us.

bev February 27, 2017 at 7:40 PM

I’m glad to hear that Leslie, as I don’t listen to audiobooks. It is hard then to rec that version of a book as readers are particular over their narrator.
MichelleS said it was pretty authentic to Texas as well. That was coll because when you read about a place you never really know.

bev February 27, 2017 at 7:41 PM

MichelleS, I recently DNF ‘ D one of hers, first of hers I tried to read. The hero was calling the heroine Toots.

Leslie M February 27, 2017 at 8:03 PM

Bev, no audiobooks? You dont know what you are missing!!! If you can get them free from library, they are AWESOME! Did you say you have long commute to work? Its perfect for that.

Tessa February 27, 2017 at 8:22 PM

Bev, we should make a the non audio book club. :P Everyone else is listening but us. :D

I’m liking End of Eden. Nikolai just appeared from the Mageri series, so that’s a plus. this is definitely disturbingly disgust.

Fabi February 27, 2017 at 8:24 PM

Tessa, you’ll have to let me know if this one ends on a CH like the first one did.

Fabi February 27, 2017 at 8:26 PM

Speaking of audio books. I am still FLOVING Keystone. I think Nicole Poole may be the best narrator I have ever listened to!

Grey February 27, 2017 at 8:47 PM

I don’t do audio either. *snicker*

Tessa February 27, 2017 at 8:47 PM

Ok. I wouldn’t be surprised if it does.

Jan February 27, 2017 at 9:26 PM

Oh yeah Amy. That’s a bad cover alright. Terrible title too. There are some true shockers out there.

Jan February 27, 2017 at 9:27 PM

I’ll join that non-audio club too. Nuthin against audio lovers. I just… don’t do it.

bev February 27, 2017 at 9:52 PM

No, the only one I listened to was David Sedaris. It was really good.
But that is him reading his own work. I tried another and fell asleep, lol.

bev February 27, 2017 at 9:53 PM

Not another of his but a fiction book.

Tasha J February 27, 2017 at 10:03 PM

Haha, I LOL’d at the cover, but more over you and R’s reactions, Amy!
So, I said I’d update every Sunday on BLL show and I missed it last night, but caught up tonight and OMG! Lol the drama, heat, everything is turned up in this episode! It’s like I get to relive the whole book and I love it! I love all the actors, honestly, even the kids! (Little Chloe and Ziggy) All the snark and angst has my cackling and clapping my hands. And the little interview snippets too. So far, I’d say it’s a must watch. Is anybody else here watching the show?! Oh and I love this song: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=62iOcrKHG6Q

Tessa February 27, 2017 at 10:35 PM

What’s BLL?

Tasha J February 27, 2017 at 11:10 PM

Big Little Lies

R. Renee February 28, 2017 at 12:57 AM

It’s so quiet! Is everybody waiting for their books to hit their kindles?

MichelleS February 28, 2017 at 9:14 AM

Fabi – is narrator doing accents too?

Speaking of accents, when author says someone has a British accent, I try doing it in my head for like a minute. Too much concentration, so I just stop. Anyone else?

Ela February 28, 2017 at 9:28 AM

AMY THAT cover AND title is just NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO! Plus shouldn’t the H be at least attractive with muscles? And not pudgy?????

I sent Maryse a message about God-Shaped Hole and she’s not answering, I wonder if she already forgot about our BR?

Leslie M February 28, 2017 at 9:36 AM

I just noticed now that in old post Nay is in hospital!!!!!

bev February 28, 2017 at 9:47 AM

MichelleS, let’s only talk with English accents on her today.

bev February 28, 2017 at 9:49 AM

Ela….check behind our chum Amy.
She may be hiding behind her.
Right. Right.

Tasha J February 28, 2017 at 10:15 AM

Lol, whenever someone has an English accent or something I can’t stop talking like that in my head. And sometimes for a while after I find myself saying a word here and there. It sticks with me.

Ela February 28, 2017 at 10:18 AM

Oh Amy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Can you step aside???? No? Well MOVE and don’t you dare cover for Maryse! It is YOU who recommended God-Shaped Hole….

Ela February 28, 2017 at 10:21 AM

I think it’s funny to Yoda-Speak!!!!

Amy February 28, 2017 at 10:50 AM

*stumbles after being pushed aside by Ela*

Well, it IS a great book.

Psst…Maryse!! If you’re not reading GSH…RUN!!! Ela is on the hunt for you!

Amy February 28, 2017 at 10:56 AM

MichelleS…I’m with you. British accents take too much concentration while reading. ;)

Ela February 28, 2017 at 10:58 AM

*steadies Amy* *Runs after Maryse*

bev February 28, 2017 at 11:01 AM

Let Maryse be she might just be Undeclared in what she wants to read next.

R. Renee February 28, 2017 at 11:02 AM

I just hope whatever she’s reading is giving her butterflies…

Maryse February 28, 2017 at 11:03 AM

I’m in birthday blog celebration mode, people!!!!! :D !!!

Okay “what I’m reading” will come soon… and yes I think GSH is next and now… I’ve just got so many options and so many that I want to read I’m FREAKING OUT. :P

Maryse February 28, 2017 at 11:05 AM

LOL Ela.

Not forgotten… promise!

Ela February 28, 2017 at 11:06 AM

Now now Maryse, let’s not be drastic, step away from the other books and shinies! YOU HAVE COMMITED YOURSELF TO GSH – YOUR WORDS “NO SQUIRRELING”

Tessa February 28, 2017 at 11:10 AM

Happy Birthday R!

Grey February 28, 2017 at 11:12 AM

Happy birthday Robin!!!!
Happy blog birthday Maryse!!!
Has anyone heard from Nay? Hoping we have a new heart in place and all is going well…

R. Renee February 28, 2017 at 11:14 AM

It’s not my birthday? Where did that come from? I’ll take it though! Will there be cake shots?

R. Renee February 28, 2017 at 11:14 AM

Ooooh different Robyn. I’ll still take a shot though ;)

Ela February 28, 2017 at 11:15 AM

I hope Renee is ok as well!

Ela February 28, 2017 at 11:16 AM

That’s what I thought Robin but here’s a cake shot anyway…

R. Renee February 28, 2017 at 11:16 AM

Whoa you guys spread rumors fast! I’m glad Robyn isn’t pregnant with an alien love child.I’d never live that one down!

Ela February 28, 2017 at 11:38 AM

She’s not????

Maryse February 28, 2017 at 11:53 AM

Is it a half-lizard love child? Er… would it only be a quarter-lizard at this point?

Maryse February 28, 2017 at 11:54 AM

I could TOTALLY use a birthday shot right now. ;) It’s noon. It’s time. :P

R. Renee February 28, 2017 at 11:56 AM

Where’s Amy!? We need shots!

You’re reminding me of “V.” I loved that mini-series and lizard boy. *swoon*

Maryse February 28, 2017 at 12:00 PM

Ohhh R. Butterflies. See? I have 6. And GSH.

Cher February 28, 2017 at 12:01 PM

Definitely think Tijan has been reading this blog. A stuffed manatee makes an appearance in Cole. My husband thought I was nuts screeching OMG, Maryse.

R. Renee February 28, 2017 at 12:06 PM

Oy 6?! Ela wants to read about butterflies BR both! <— pretend that's subtle :D

Ela February 28, 2017 at 12:16 PM

Are you pimping out the Butterfly book AGAIN Robin??? Yes very subtle, it took me FOREVER TO FIGURE OUT WHAT YOU REALLY MEANT.

R. Renee February 28, 2017 at 12:17 PM

Who me? *shrugs innocently*

Amy February 28, 2017 at 1:14 PM

*passes out cake batter shots to everyone*

Amy February 28, 2017 at 1:17 PM

Maryse has a hole.

An odd-shaped hole.

And only one book can fill it.

Get your minds out of the freaking gutter, you dirty birds.

Fabi February 28, 2017 at 1:37 PM

“Fabi – is narrator doing accents too?”

Yes Michelle, she does accents and her male voices you’d swear were a man.

I imagine accents as I read but I don’t try to reproduce them in my thoughts because I suck at accents. I only have my default southern one.

Happy blogaversary Maryse!

Happy B-day Robyn!

Amy February 28, 2017 at 1:44 PM

OMG Cher…my tummy just did a flip!!

Now I would be REALLY freaking out if an author had a stuffed manatee in their book named Manny. ;) I would buy, like, 20 copies of their book and send them out to friends from here!!

Ela February 28, 2017 at 2:27 PM

Grey February 28, 2017 at 5:26 PM

Damn it… I’m writing a book… I’m gonna put a stuffed manatee named Manny in it, just because I can. *giggle* oh and sorry about the birthday thing. My autocorrect is an a**. It corrects Robyn to Robin… Gah! It took 3 times for me to manually fix that!

R. Renee February 28, 2017 at 5:27 PM

That sucks Grey! Autocorrect shouldn’t punish Robyn for her parent’s mistake!

Jan February 28, 2017 at 5:32 PM

MichelleS February 28, 2017 at 6:07 PM

Grey – you should totally put a stuffed animal named Manny in your books! And maybe characters named after us! Can you imagine? We can be the “extra girlfriends drinking martinis at the bar”, Amy style! I’d buy that book & get you all to sign it. I’m on a mission!

MichelleS February 28, 2017 at 6:08 PM

Me & Maryse have to be the really short friends. Who is going to be crazy cat lady?

R. Renee February 28, 2017 at 6:09 PM

Yeah Grey! Fabi’s got her rock band, Glass Surface, in mine!

Fabi February 28, 2017 at 6:36 PM

“crazy cat lady”

that would be me ;-)

R.! Yes! I’m tickled pink. You guys go on and make fun of my book title hangups all you want. I came up with the name of a new band!

Lisa M February 28, 2017 at 7:22 PM

What a great list!!!! Cole by Tijan one clicked & read non stop last night last & early today!!! Loved it!!! I loved Carter Reed too!! So excited to find out there will be a Carter Reed 3!!!!

bev February 28, 2017 at 9:25 PM

Fabi I still can not get over you not reading Sea of T because you think the title is boring, lol.

R. Renee February 28, 2017 at 9:26 PM

GLASS SURFACE bev. Glass Surface.

bev February 28, 2017 at 9:47 PM

One thing though. ….There already is a book with a stuffed manatee.

Fabi February 28, 2017 at 11:20 PM

hahaha you guys!!!

And yes Bev, there certainly is one, the original one.

Maryse March 1, 2017 at 11:13 AM

OMG seriously Cher????? How VERY cool… I wonder if she’s one of us active readers that hides in our blankie-fort with us, and we don’t even realize it’s her ’cause she’s anonymous. Oooooooh!!!!!! I bet she’s sobbed on Manny before.

*sideeyes all of us*
