Good morning Maryse and all the lovely ladies on a beautiful Monday morning!!! Feels like fall already. Not sure how I feel about that!!! Anyway lots of temptations listed. The Soulmate appeared on my tablet this morning like magic!! Pressing thru Life of Anna right now. Really out of my “comfort zone.” But I’m determined to see where her story goes. Xoxo

Ela August 14, 2017 at 6:37 AM

Morning! Binge watched GOT all week and am all caught up! Now I’m sad because I have to wait for new episodes! Oh and I still hate Mondays.

Maryse August 14, 2017 at 7:31 AM

I’m so jealous of all the GoT watchers. I KNOW I’d love it as much as everyone if I just sat down to marathon-watch it…

Maryse August 14, 2017 at 7:32 AM

Good morning everyone!!! :D

Leslie M August 14, 2017 at 8:20 AM

Morning…I also need to try GoT.

D.G. August 14, 2017 at 9:49 AM

Morning! Hope everyone is having a good Monday…

Maryse, I am with you on the GOT…so want to watch it just need to make time.

Also ONE clicked The Soul Mate …sounds similar to another book I read once with a different twist. Instead of a one nighter and pregnancy, H was a huge crush for college girl and also volunteered as campus gyn.
Lots of other interesting ones on the list..off to explore..

Theresa S. August 14, 2017 at 10:35 AM

Marsye is Karina Halle new book coming out tomorrow? Thanks

Cheryl August 14, 2017 at 12:03 PM

Good afternoon!! I have seen bits and pieces of GoT but never really watched it. I think at this point I am overwhelmed with all the episodes I would have to watch to catch up and really I’m ok with not watching it.

The SoulMate reminds me of another book I read where the h had a crush on the H and he turned out to be her GYN. Also, read another book that was similar. Still think I will give it a try.

D.G. August 14, 2017 at 12:19 PM

Cheryl I think we read the same book previously…just don’t remember the title right off!

Bev, I agree. I probably need to read the book first. We all know that the books are always much better than the movies/shows!

Grey August 14, 2017 at 12:27 PM

GoT is awesome. I’m in season 6…almost caught up.

Yes, I read a book similar to The Soul Mate it was Wrong by Jana Aston…

I’m a bit behind on current reads, I’ve been beta-ing, so I actually haven’t even bought any new books. bev… the book restriction has still held, LMFAO!

bev August 14, 2017 at 12:55 PM

Grey that is kind of awesome.
Has mot held for me but maybe not buying as much so that is good.

bev August 14, 2017 at 12:58 PM

I am a bit tempted to try a fall one, from equinox to solstice. Bit i have to think on it. That maybe too hard.

marina August 14, 2017 at 3:22 PM

Love and have been OBSESSED with GOT. Watch the new episodes twice or more, am just finishing re-watching season 1. Which has been great. For those who haven’t been watching don’t be intimidated by all the episodes, just start!! It’s awesome that you can binge watch!! This obsession with all things GOT and theories and backstories is why I am so behind on reading and sort of squirreling around. Not finding a book that’s really grabbing me. Reading “I Do(n’t)” and it’s good, I like how real the troubles feel, but still GOT… Also reading Final Girls… But GOT… Cannot believe the final season will not air until end of 2018 or beginning of 2019. Mad. But… for those who haven’t begun that gives you tons of time to catch up ;)

Cheryl August 14, 2017 at 3:34 PM

Yeh, Grey that’s the one I read and sounds like D.G. read too. There was another one too, I can picture the cover- guy with stethoscope around his neck. Going to bug me until I find out which one it is…will look thru my kdindle reads.

bev August 14, 2017 at 3:35 PM

I am still mad the next book has not come out, it has been something like 6/7 years.

I get that authors have a process but serious side eye.

Cheryl August 14, 2017 at 3:38 PM

Stirred Up by S. E. Hall!! It was really good and it’s KU.

R. Renee August 14, 2017 at 3:46 PM

Guys! Renee Carlino’s latest, Wish You Were Here, is selling at $2.99 right now. Not sure for how long. Comes out at midnight!

R. Renee August 14, 2017 at 3:48 PM

Scratch that, ALL her books seem to be on sale! WHAT!!?????

Tessa August 14, 2017 at 4:04 PM

Same. I’m obsessed with GOT. I got caught up last night. Holy crap, episode 4 was insane. I admit, I haven’t read the series yet. I am fine to read it now, but if I read a book before the adaption, people get angry. I can’t help it! Books are almost always better than the show. And I’ll be saying, you know… Blah blah never happened and they cut blah blah…

Finished Rougher. Not a bully book but good. I hope she writes a book about a guy she mentioned. I think that would be fun.

Maryse August 14, 2017 at 5:47 PM

Okay I’m starting tomorrow’s big list!!! Yikes. I’m excited…

Jan August 14, 2017 at 6:16 PM

Yeah I read Jana Aston’s Wrong as well. It was a lovely book (although a couple of scenes were so WRONG lol). Looks like Soulmate has a slightly different premise, altho similar in some ways. Might be fun.

Renee Carlino books are on sale on amazon Australia as well. Nice. Not the new one tho :( I think I’ve read Before we were Strangers (from the library). Which other ones does anybody rec that I might buy while they’re cheap? i.e. which ones are her best?

R. Renee August 14, 2017 at 6:25 PM

Sweet Thing and the follow up are great. I liked Nowhere But Here and I’m still confused about my feelings for Lucian Divine. Haven’t read After the Rain yet.

marina August 14, 2017 at 8:53 PM

Hi Maryse, I don’t think I see it here, Penelope Ward’s new one, “Drunk Dial,” with the WAY HOT cover (mega eyes) and crazy blurb comes out August 21st!

Jan August 14, 2017 at 9:46 PM

Thanks R. I’ll have a look at them. Lucian Divine doesn’t really appeal, though.

R. Renee August 14, 2017 at 9:49 PM

It was…different.

Tasha J August 14, 2017 at 10:45 PM

Hey, everyone! I think I’ve missed a few posts and I’m feeling homesick! lol Currently reading The Lying Game by Ruth Ware- really good so far. I preordered The Dark of the Moon by E.S. Bell for tomorrow too, all the hype on GR has me excited. I think I’ve gotta fit in Eleanor Oliphant next though. This is my ultimate goal…must. not. stray. I’m so completely ready for fall, I think I’ve mentioned this before, but I went and ordered some decaf pumpkin spice coffee (can’t drink regular, and us decafers have such a limited selection) and it’s SO good! Also, I got some pumpkin shaped Reese’s the other day. It was cool here a cpl weeks ago, I broke out the bat leggings. I’m completely thrilled for all things books, movies, shows, the whole deal for October too! There’s tons of locusts all over my yard, it’s getting dark sooner, AHHH I LOVE it. ”Tis the season, lol. I’ve also been binging IZombie on Netflix and it’s making me want to jump into the My Life as a White Trash Zombie series by Diana Rowland. Can you feel my mood? Haha

Jan August 15, 2017 at 12:29 AM

Haha Tasha. Pumpkin shaped reeses. LOL! And decaf pumpkin spice coffee. I don’t think my regular supermarket stocks either of those, but they sound GREAT! Enjoy your zombie binge. *privately shudders at thought of zombies*
