LOL! Okay yes, that title is corny, but it’s cute right? I couldn’t figure out whether to call them “early birds” or “late birds” since they missed Tuesday by a couple of days, so a bundle o’ books it is! *snort* Maybe I need more coffee. π
Today is reader question day, :D!!! and I have THREE that I’ll be posting for us to guess, but I couldn’t help myself on this extra “goodies” post. P.S. Don’t forget to send me your reader questions if you’re looking for a book, or an author, or anything book-related. π
So here’s what JUST WENT LIVE:
- Co-WRECKERΒ by Meghan Quinn <— LIVE!! MEGHAN QUINN’S LATEST!! The Tempting Series: Books 1-4: Tempting, Beguiling, Provocative, AddictedΒ by Alex Lucian <— FORBIDDEN ROMANCE SERIES BUNDLE SUPER-BARGAIN JUST WENT LIVE!!! TEACHER-STUDENT… “It had begun innocently enough, bumping into one another in a crowded Boston bar. What followed that night had been anything but innocent.Β Because I’d known, even as he’d slid inside of me, that he was my professor. I’d pursued him, a predator stalking its prey.Β And he didn’t know I was his student.Β But he would.”
- Animal: A Prisoned Spinoff StandaloneΒ by Marni Mann <— MARNI MANN’S LATEST SUPER-DARK ROMANCE READ IS LIVE!!! HE’S THE GUARD…. REMEMBERΒ “Prisoned: A Dark Twisted Erotic Standalone“?!!! So many dark-read lovers went crazy for it!! Well lookie what we have here!!!
- The Perfect Catch: A Sports Romance (The Darcy Brothers)Β by Alix Nichols <— LIVE!! SPORTS ROMANCE ALERT!! And I took it all, despite knowing I was going to leave her, and never come back.Β Leaving her five years ago was my biggest mistake, and my greatest regret. Now I need to make amends...”
I just 1-clicked the first three – especially Animal because Prisoned left you with that “wondering WTF” feeling at the end! And that cover of Moments of Beauty….he’s hot!
1-clicked The Tempting Series because $1,24 – whats not to like π
But first I have to finish Backfire by Keri Lake. I’m at 92% and holy moly what a scary and angsty book. I thought that Ricochet was bad, but add another 50% of all the angsty stuff and you know what to expect of Backfire. But a 5 star read for sure – just like Ricochet.
Yes Pia! Loved Backfire and Ricochet….both so great!
I have to read Backfire!!!! So to as good? That makes me happy. π

Okay what is wrong with my comments – the same one twice π Couldn’t see the first comment, so figured I forgot to submit. Wrote it again and now it appears twice. Damn computer π
Yes Maryse, Backfire was just as good as Ricochet!
I’ve been all over the place the last few days so this may be old news, but have you guys seen this? bev? https://www.rtconvention.com/blog/jennifer-aniston-star-screen-adaptation-julie-murphys-dumplin
And in other movie news, Josh Duhamel just called Becky Albertalli “ridiculously lovely” on Twitter. *rolls over and dies*
Goals:
finish book
make movie
cast Josh Duhamel
get called “ridiculously lovely” on Twitter.
R, you make me laugh.
Bev, movie date when Dumplin’ comes out??
Yes, R. I think she is a good pick, though not southern.
Lol, ok. If nothing else we could buddy watch it when out of theaters. Do you think everyone would get upset if we took over the blog to live watch a movie “together”? It could be fun and is based on a book. π
Ok, just devoured L.A. Fiore’ s The Devil You Know ( Lost Boys Book 1) – GREAT recommendation – and Kristen Ashley’s The Deep End:The Honey Series. Both VERY good reads. Maryse – I know you think you’re not going to like KA’s new one because its about a Dominatrix but I DARE you to read it, and tell me you didn’t love it! The characters were just so likeable and somehow she turns subject-matter that seems often seems hard to relate to, and over-the-top, into a big love story with kink. The Devil You Know was just a great big sweeping romance, with a terrific hero and heroine. Now on to ‘Rachel Higginson’s The Opposite of You’!!
Janet… that is MUSIC TO MY EARS!!! OR EYES. YAY!!! Okay I bet it’s going to be so good… and I love that you described it that way.
And thank you for BOTH recommendations.
R’s next goal on the list
Marry Josh Duhamel and have his beautiful babies π
LOL!! I probably need to play matchmaker between my husband and Fergie first. I think he’d be on board with that.
Is anyone doing First Line Thursday? (or Friday here in Australia?)
“There’s no point,” Tracy said, balancing the phone in the crook of her neck, surveying her fresh pedicure.
from Unsuitable Men by Nia Forrester
I’m loving this series (the ‘commitment’ series). This particular book, whilst good, isn’t the best of the series. I’ve nearly finished this book now. Tracy’s low self-esteem issues are major, and so she makes all kinds of crazy decisions, which I’m finding a bit frustrating. But Brendan is so patient and wonderful with her as she sorts out her issues from her past. *gives long, daydreamy sigh*
I’m still too stuck on “The Opposite of You” that I haven’t gotten into anything properly as of yet….
*book-taste-test-mode*
She seems like a very lovely lady and also appreciates Lin Manuel Miranda, lol.
LOL R. Not sure who I’d pair my husband with while I run off to the eighteenth century for a fling with my darling Poldark. Hmmmm.
Demelza?
Amy Lane’s new book, Bonfires comes out tomorrow. *happy happy dance*
Oh…Wait…She always tears my heart out. π
Oh well, that’s ok. Amy Lane can do whatever she wants with my heart. *happy dance happy dance*
LOL!!! I’m working on tomorrow’s post and I saw the one from Amy Lane… It looks good!!! π
Haha bev. Good thinking π
Don’t you love when you get stuck on a book?
Are you already doing Friday’s post?
Whoa. WAIT! Back up the train. Turn that horse around.
Maryse are you taste testing books??? Really? For Real?
Um….To Tell the Truth, Shame the Devil….hmm. What would it taste like?
Or Gann?? That’s a complex taste.
Or…..um….ok you know all my peanuts by now, right?
Maryse, you totally got street teamed on your fb what are you reading post. Oh my gosh.
Part of me wants to laugh because do they think they come across as subtle and natural?
LOL I know it bev… I noticed that same story listed over and over and no real details… π
And actually that author and I chat “normal stuff” all the time and we love commenting on each other’s Instagram pics (I bet she has no clue I got street-teamed by her crew).
Wouldn’t it be funny that we did the whole “this book tastes like…”
Kind of like a new FLT tradition. *snort*
I have seen that with books and cookies, ice cream, or drinks. It’s always kind of fun.
Whoa that’s aggressive! I thought street teams were supposed to shove promotion down throats not hijack threads. That looked planned. Like “I’m gonna post about Wattpad, and you talk about how it’s free. Ok…Go!”
I love the book tasting idea Maryse! I think we should do it, but not name the book to see if everyone can guess it. The book I’m reading until the end of time apparently tastes like. NyQuil and regret.
LOL Nyquil and regret!!!
My book “My Life Next Door” tastes like chocolate chip cookies with a bite out of ’em. Sweet and comfortable… and a bit quirky.
Tee hee. That’s actually an adorable scene (his little brother barged in on them while they were making out, to bring them a plate of chocolate chip cookies, which, of course, he had taken a bite out of each one first), and it make me giggle, but I think it’s perfectly suited to the “feel” of the book.
R, have you seen the blind dates for books? Libraries do it and I’ve seen it on a blog before. You post like a description like a blind date post then if someone is interested they as for the title. Libraries wrap the book in brown paper and then have description written on the front.
