Beautiful Sacrifice: A Novel (The Maddox Brothers Book 3)
Yep yep yep!!! It’s Taylor the Maddox twin’s turn, and he’s a hot and sexy fight fighter. How do I know he’s hot and sexy. Hello!!?? His last name is Maddox and he’s related to Travis and Travis has been my main book-boyfriend for 4 years now. And I’m just lucky enough to be waiting tables and he’s in MY section today. Er… I mean… Falyn. FALYN is just lucky enough. confused *snort* :P

The moment Taylor Maddox is seated in Falyn’s section at the Bucksaw, she knows he’s trouble. Taylor is charming, breaks promises, and gorgeous even when covered in filth—making him everything Falyn believes a hotshot firefighter to be. Falyn isn’t interested in becoming another statistic, and for a Maddox boy, a disinterested girl is the ultimate challenge.

And I LOVE pre-orders ’cause they totally DO show up at midnight. Well… I passed out waiting for it for about 20 minutes, so I only saw it on my Kindle app at about 12:20am…

Yesssss!!! And not even just on May 31st, either… like EARLY on May 31st. That’s my kind of pre-order!

Maryse: It’s LIVE!!! Or at least it downloaded to my Kindle already!! YAY ME!!! *happy dance*

Meredith: It downloaded to my kindle as well!!! So excited to read it!

Kim: It’s on mine here in Colorado! Of course it took seeing someone post a pic of their Kindle for me to check lol

Karen: I’ve so got my fingers crossed for this one. Beautiful Disaster is an absolute favourite.

Yes Karen… agreed. OMG this just might be the “one” since my true book-love Travis and his book, Beautiful Disaster. Would it be weird that I fall for his brother too? And is it any weirder that this brother has another brother. An identical twin!! ‘Cause then that’ll be THREE for me, right? *Tee hee!!!*

Beautiful Sacrifice is on my iPad!!!

BUT YAY ME!! ‘Cause there it was. MY VERY OWN MADDOX TWIN!!! I specifically asked for one back in 2011 right here in my Behind the Books – Interview With Author Jamie McGuire (from back in 2011).

Maryse: *squeeee* More bad-boy books a la Jamie McGuire. Yay us!!! Lily and I want to be the Abbys for the twins!!! Lily, do you care which?

Lily: A twin of my own?! Nope, I don’t care which one you give me! Can mine like Kettle Korn?

LOL!!! We’re not picky at all. He’s a twin and he’s a Maddox and they look like Travis. Just sayin’ ;)

So I read a bit… and passed out again. GAH! Blast my inability to stay up late anymore. But I’m up and I’m ready to spend an entire day with the Maddox boys yet again. Oh I hope this one give me tummy aches, and butterflies and makes me SO jealous. Sounds torturous, but when it comes to books, you know I LOVE  romance-angst torture. *fingers crossed*.

I’m going in!

P.S. UPDATE!!! LOL OMG this part had me giggling HARD!

She crossed her arms. “Now, if he is anything but a gentleman—”

“I know,” I said. “I’ll punch him in the throat.”

“Good girl,” Phaedra said, punching the air. “They hate that.”

“She’s right,” Chuck called from the kitchen. “We do!”

*snort* :P  LOL!!!!!!!! :D

Lol, you sound like Michelle & I when a new book in The Others series comes out. The anticipation and then starting that first page always so fun. Fingers crossed, for lots of butterfly, set book aside and pace, and Noooooo moments.
I haven’t kept up with the Maddox brothers. I started Beautiful Oblivion, but set it aside for now. Ill circle back around sooner or later.

Amazon did me right too. :-) You’re so funny Maryse. You woke up just long enough to make sure it arrived and get started on it. I want to start mine so bad. Bit I can’t yet. I’ve committed to a couple of other reads first. The anticipation is going to kill me. Maybe I’ll get your review first. I love this series so much!

Maryse May 31, 2015 at 10:21 AM

LOL bev!!! Yep… anything even resembling “Travis” has me on pins and needles…

I WANT THAT OLD FEELING back again, ya know? BADLY.

Maryse May 31, 2015 at 10:23 AM

Fabi yep!! I just had to start it just to say I “started it” right around midnight. I mean… couldn’t waste that early download opportunity… LOL!!!

Now maybe had the book already been significantly in progress, and I was all stomach-achy or something, I could have stayed up all night with it, but I need an adrenaline rush of sorts to counteract my “can barely stay up past midnight” sleepiness. :P

Stella May 31, 2015 at 10:54 AM

Jennifer Jammeli’s “Forever Checking”, the last book in the trilogy comes out on June 15th!!!

Maryse May 31, 2015 at 11:17 AM

YAY!!!! I loved the first 2!! Can’t wait for it. Thank you Stella! :D

Anne May 31, 2015 at 1:15 PM

I need to read this series! I’ve only read Beautiful and Walking Disaster.

Maryse May 31, 2015 at 1:49 PM

Anne… how’d you like Beautiful? I died of love. LOL!

Anne May 31, 2015 at 2:37 PM

Maryse I loved Beautiful and Travis! He was my first real “bad boy” and still love him. That book gave me all the feels!

Marit May 31, 2015 at 2:39 PM

OMG! Just finished Archer’s Voice :-) What a beautiful book! I understand now why you all went craaaazy about this one ;-) I will keep this in my heart <3

Heather @ Random Redheaded Ramblings May 31, 2015 at 3:08 PM

Uh gotta love the Maddox brothers, love this series and cannot wait to read this book!

Maryse May 31, 2015 at 4:10 PM

Archer’s Voice will be one of those 5-star classics for me, Marit!! I’m so glad you love it. :D

Maryse May 31, 2015 at 4:11 PM

Right there with you, Anne and Heather…

I’m enjoying this one! Had to take a break to make supper, but now I’m back to my new Maddox man. LOL! :P

Michelle May 31, 2015 at 4:15 PM

Haha Bev but our excitement hasn’t caught on enough for Maryse to read them! I haven’t read this series beyond the first book because who can eclipse Travis…right?!…but with the continued great reviews, I will probably cave sooner or later ;)

Lisa Masin May 31, 2015 at 4:22 PM

Omg!! Just finished Beautiful Sacrifice!! So freaking good!!! Such a great story!! I’m speechless!! Started reading it last night and all day today!! Awesome that it came out early!! Nothing better than spending a cold rainy day reading a book you have been longing to read and totally losing yourself in it!! Jamie McGuire you rock!!! Heavy sigh!!!!

fabi May 31, 2015 at 4:30 PM

Marit, I just recently read Archer’s Voice and I agree 100%. Epic love story.

No one can eclipse Travis but the last book was my favorite next to Travis’. He’s the oldest brother and I felt like the story was more mature. I just loved it.

I’ve read both, the Disaster series and the Others series. They are both incredible. But you just can’t compare them because they are two completely different animals. Its easiest just to love them both. :-)

Anne May 31, 2015 at 4:50 PM

Archer’s Voice is an amazing book! It was my first Mia Sheridan’s book and I became a fan. She writes such unique, beautiful stories that she is without a doubt one of my favorite authors.

Can’t wait to red your review. Please let us know what books we have to read in order to enjoy this best. I read the first two, but none of the subsequent books.

Maryse June 1, 2015 at 3:38 PM

Well… I finished it late last night…

I know if you read Trent’s book, you’ll come across part of his story in this one that becomes VERY relevant…

I haven’t read Thomas’s book yet and there is some SERIOUS tension with Thomas and his crew… and something is going on with Travis that I’m not quite sure of yet. Something that looks bad, for him. Heartwrenching?

Maybe more of that was revealed in Thomas’s book but I know Taylor has no clue… what it is.
