Book surprises… the sun is shining in those, of that I’m certain. Unless they’re angsty. 😉 Tee hee!! Grey – is that Broken Dove, Fantasyland #4, K. Ashley? That was my least favorite of that series. I hate to say that ’cause I have so much love for that author and that series. I just really wanted more for Apollo, and the “fun” was missing from this book. Even though it was scary and barbaric, Golden Dynasty was still fun.
Oh, I love it. Been a while since I’ve been sucked into a fantasy series. Could I get a cup of *adela tea*…. please?? *wink, wink!*

Yes MichelleS, that’s the series. I admit that I’m not loving this book as much as GD… but overall, this series ranks right up there with my BDB love… & that’s a serious compliment, haha! BTW…how is your shoulder doing?
That sounded harsh, huh? I think that I am just sad because I have more KA books on my Kindle than any other author. Literally every single book she’s written. But I find that since she found a publisher, I have been underwhelmed. I think she did a better job when she just wrote her own stories the way she wanted to. Anyone else miss the original KA?
Grey – I have my follow up appt with doc today – I’m hoping stitches come out? They are itchy! It’s all going really well. I just can’t lift my arm at all, so every day is a really bad hair day.
MichelleS – Harsh? nah…honest. These are the first books I’ve read from KA, so I cant comment on her “before” books. Itchy stitches are good… means you’re healing! And oh…bad hair day, at least you have an excuse!!! More time to read, right? Sorry…I can’t go here, do that…because I’m not having a good hair day 😉

I don’t know if you dig TV Shows but, you HAVE to watch True Detective Season 2. It has one THE BEST slow burn romance ever! And Colin Farrell, the hero is a tortured one, and both him and Rachel MacAdams are UNBELIEVABLE together.

Kick Push by Jay McLean is out tomorrow! It is available for pre-order now. This book is amazing. If you are looking for a unique love story that will basically have you feeling every emotion you have at it’s highest level…this is your book. Single teen dad. But not a teen romance. I can’t even put into words how special this book is. Kick Push. Josh Warden. It is my top read of the year for sure! Hands down!

Has anyone heard of this book called Chained by Jaimie Roberts? Its pretty dark it seems. This is what one reviewer said about it:

Kellie, Kick Push sounds really good and different! I’m not usually a fan of male-only POV because I just don’t experience the heavy emotions like I do with a female or dual POV (hush it PG…I have exceptions and y’all know it!!) but Kick Push reminds me of I Know It’s Over, which is male POV, and it made my heart just hurt somethin’ awful. Girl tells him she is pregnant after she has broken up with him, doesn’t want him back and doesn’t really want him there for her in any way…and it does a number on him. 🙁 But it was still really good!

I finished Bad Things last night from the Tristan and Danika series and oh the feels! That ending was so sad! Glad all books are out and that I don’t have to wait to read book 2.
