HAPPY Valentine’s Day!!! I have a whole box of “book-chocolates” for us! 😉 Yummy!! 😉
These might be my favorite flavors of the day. I think I’ll take a bite out of each, just to make sure. *snort* (P.S. Yes. I do that in real life chocolate sampling, too). I can’t help it. I don’t wanna waste all of my calories on one or two, if I can have a half of each one until I find my favorite. LOL!!!!!!
Okay okay… enough of my goofiness. These are the ones that look extra good to me (hence, my desire to take a bite out of each one to make sure ;)): The Sexy One (recent release that’s in the super-bargain section… a HUGE HIT, and she’s his daughter’s nanny. I always love those…), The Cad and the Co-Ed (she’s a single mom, and he does’t even remember her… the kicker? He’s the father of her child!!! *gasp*!!), Riveted (she’s in unrequited love with a soldier… and she thinks she’s ready to move on and find someone real), Love Story (road trip with her brother’s best friend that she’s been crushing on!!!), The Date (this whole blurb just sounds awesome. He’s a reclusive mountain man/best-selling author, and she comes limping to his door for help… and he decides she can return the favor by being his fake “date” for a book event!!), Never Better (’cause it’s Charlotte Stein, and she tends to “go there”, and he’s helping her with her past assault trauma, but he’s got one big bad secret… eeeeeeeeeep!!), Beautiful Evil (sounds super-dark, and he was once a very bad guy… no happily ever afters, after him… my only hiccup is this one is somewhat of a short story, but I’m intrigued) and last but not least, Breaking the Girl (he’s an ex porn star that discovers and makes new girls famous, and she’s homeless and will do anything to better her life…). Yikes. OH!!!! OH!!!! An add-on!!!! —> My Sister Rosa (bev just found it on sale for me and I ONE-CLICKED IT SO HARD!!!

Just finished Bossman by Vi Keeland. What a great read and I couldn’t stay quite because I laughed so much during the first 20%. Highly recommend this one.

I really like the blurb for The Date too, and have downloaded a sample. But I have to say I don’t like the cover of it at all. In the pic the h looks grumpy and bee-archy and the H looks like her grandpa LOL. I’d never pick up the book on the basis of the cover.
If anyone hasn’t read Lisa Kleypas Travis series, I highly recommend. Get the bargain bundle while you can! It’s a really great CR series from a writer more well-known for her HRs. But I FLOVED the Travis series.

I also loved the Travis Family series by Lisa Kleypas. I don’t care for her regency novels if that is what they are called. Just don’t like that time period. Smooth Talking Stranger is my favorite of them all, just fell in love with Jack. There is something about a man who falls in love with the woman and her kid too that is very endearing.

I agree that SoC is a beautiful hard cover book. If I’d run across it at a book store I would have bought it not knowing anything else about it. It’s a gorgeous edition to any bookshelf.
I can not even imagine reading Illuminae as an eBook. For me, it would lose all it’s magic since so much of that magic is visual.

$12 for the kindle, $22 for the hardcover, no paperback option. I always buy her hard copies and I can’t justify $12 for an e-book that I probably can’t even share so $22 it is. I’m sure it’s worth it. Everything I’ve ever read of hers has been at least 5 stars. I’m more upset I have to wait until June!
Taylor Jenkins Reid is a remarkable author. I absolutely love everything she’s ever written… unique stories, and an incredible way of delivering them.
She is. She guts me faster than anybody. She can say the most mundane thing and make it heart wrenching. Like this:
“My eyes are bloodshot. I look at my face and I think that I had someone who loved this face. And now he’s gone. And now no one loves my face anymore.”
I think I cried for a week over that line alone.
Finished Mack Daddy. Frustrating, enjoyable read.
Now I think I will start the Torn Duet, since book 2 was released yesterday. Bonus that it is kindle unlimited.

Woot, the library has the next book of the Jane Yellowstone series! Saturday it will be mine. I just finished the fifth book, Death Rival, and loved it. However, I got sick last night and I think I’m going to have to re-read the end, because some of it made no sense to me. My brain was all, uh… words no understand. *shakes head*
Oh! And the audio. It’s official. I can’t do it. The narrator had a good low note voice and clear, concise speech, but it took so much to grasp what the words were that the comprehension wasn’t there. One paragraph and I knew it wouldn’t work. Grrr
Did I ever mention that I crush majorly on certain rugby players??? Well, of course Penny Reid’s new rugby player book was right up my alley! The Cad and the Co-Ed. I do love this series so much! My favorite part is the tweets. Some are so random and just hilarious.

I just read…no wait… I just DEVOURED this entire series in two days flat. If you are in the mood for a dark read, this is definitely it! WARNING! If you have certain triggers this may not be the book series for you, because it is certainly a dark read. Here’s a quick snapshot… “Darkness lurks in the heart of the Louisiana elite, and only one will be able to rule them as Sovereign. Sinclair Vinemont will compete for the title, and has acquired Stella Rousseau for that very purpose. Breaking her is part of the game. Loving her is the most dangerous play of all.”
This “elite” is something very similar to a secret society which is ruled by the “Sovereign.” Only certain families are allowed into this society, the main requisite being wealth. But this society is filled with darkness, depravity, and corruption. Every 10 years, a new Sovereign is selected by the current one to rule for the next decade. Three individuals (family first-borns) are selected by the former Sovereign to compete in this process. Each contender must acquire an “Acquisition” to participate in the four trials that occur over the course of a year, and these trials are not for the faint of heart… and I’ll leave it at that. I don’t want to give away too much because it’ll take away from the reading experience, but tbh, when I first read this series (went in blind by the way), I literally stopped after a few pages because it was all kinds of twisted and I didn’t know what to make of it. I was like “Whoa… what is this?” BUT alas… I picked it back up because honestly no other book could hold my attention, and once I got a few more pages in, I was HOOKED!
This series is by far the BEST I’ve read in a very long time. How do I know this? Because right now, I have no gumption to jump into another book. That is my tell.
It gave me the same feels as the “Indebted” series. At times it wasn’t quite as dark as that series, and at other times, it was much darker. If you love these kinds of books, I HIGHLY recommend this series to you! You will not regret it! Bravo Celia Aaron!! I have a serious case of book hangover now… I’m turning in circles, not really sure which book road to take next. 🙁

Ah yes. Great book Tasha. Not a romance, but a fab post-apocalyptic totally epic adventure with some weird vampires thrown in for good measure! So Cristina, I guess I do read the odd scary book sometimes. Not that the Passage is scary exactly, but if def has some elements of horror at times.

So uh… I read How to Save a Life and uh… *starts ducking* It was okay but parts were not working for me. *hides*
Just finished a trilogy that had me riveted from the start. I LOVE trilogies! Two couples meet by chance and decide to swap! The arrangement is very specific: no discussing what the other couple does, no emotional attachments, and a few other “ground rules”. As usual, things don’t always go according to carefully-laid plans, and one of the couples starts to break some of these “ground rules” – with far-reaching consequences for the two families involved. I would REALLY RECOMMEND this series, as you have no idea of how the situation will be resolved… THE GROUND RULES 1, 2, 3 by Roya Carmen.

Yes Jan, I’m really liking it so far and am glad I’m finally sticking with it, but holy cow- 881 pages. I’m thinking I may have been discouraged a bit by that last time too. I’ll bet I’ll finish just in time for March. Heading out for a weekend getaway, which ideally would give me plenty of read time, but no probably not! Lol

LOL! I loved it, but RUSH is my hands down fave. I don’t consider HTSAL PNR at all though. The H has intuition and, to me, that’s the beginning and end of the paranormal aspect.

I read the first one and have the second one in my library but I won’t be finishing it. I didn’t like Gabe AT ALL, didn’t care for Bridget, and by the end of the first book I was so angry with Weston that he was on my sh!t list, too. I think reading any further in the series will turn me into a shrieking harpie.
And the ladies here enjoy it WAY too much when that happens. 😛

Duh, The FishTales, but aside from that, I LOVED the Florentine series (Gabriel’s Inferno), and coming in 3rd, The Dark Duet which I guess didn’t start out as a trilogy… So there you go, Leslie, a trilogy of trilogies!
By the way guys, I also loved Blink by K.L. Slater…..could not put it down! Had to remind myself to “blink” in the last 30% because I couldn’t take my eyes off the page! Lol

I loved The Ground Rules. All three books. Especially loved Gabe and thought Weston was a flake. Just goes to show there is something for everyone! That’s what makes the interactions interesting.
I liked Wes in the first, Gabe in the second, and hated them both in the third.

Hmmmm. I started The Ground Rules ages ago but can’t even remember finishing book 1……. I must have gotten distracted by some other shiny thing. Like that’s never happened before LOL. But I guess I never felt the urge to back to TGR. Maybe I should add it to the GBL shelf I keep telling myself I need to set up on GR.
