<— PRIME DAY SALES JULY 15th 2015 BREAKING NEWS UPDATE!!! IT HAS OFFICIALLY STARTED for TODAY ONLY!!!! Amazon is celebrating it’s 20th anniversary on July 15th (TODAY!!) and so they are having a HUMONGOUS (and I mean humongous – they are claiming better than Black Friday) sale for all Prime members!!! The sales are changing throughout the day (It looks like we can see a whole bunch of stuff right now, but they will be going active and inactive in “batches” throughout the day, and more will be added as the day goes on), so I will make a post (or maybe I’ll do it here) where I’ll point out anything I see that is book related…

Anyone getting in on any of these deals? I actually have!!

I purchased an omnidirectional clip-on microphone that plugs into my iPhone or iPad (great for on-the-spot author interviews at signings!!) and a Black and Decker dust-buster!! And now I got a pressure washer! :)  Good day for me too. All stuff I needed and significantly discounted.

As for the book releases!!

Quite a few BIG highlights for today… a few fighter books that have my attention big time (like that one there to the left by Shay Savage) who is one of my absolute FAVORITES. Her male POV’s are truly the best of the best, and those guys don’t even TRY to make us swoon, their so darn angry and full of themselves, and yet I do. :D

TWO ADD-ON NEW RELEASES as of TODAY – Wednesday July 15th 2015!!

  • Dark Night of the Soul by Kitty Thomas <— DARK READ LOVERS… this is the queen of dark. And she just released a brand spanking new one that sounds so intriguing. “Caught out at night getting medicine for her sister, Helene is captured and taken as a slave for Gabriel, the mysterious ruler of the city. “Helene, I will take your struggle away. I will bring you back to life.”” Oooooooh.
  • The Pentagram Child: Part 2 (Afterlife Saga Book 5) by Stephanie Hudson <— and so many alerted me on this one (they are very excited!) Lisa says: “Don’t forget to add Stephanie Hudson’s, the Pentagram Child Part 2 (The AfterLife Saga). Love this series!!!! It just came out today!!! Can’t get enough of that Draven!!!” and Marit too! “Maryse! The Pentagram Child: Part Two (Afterlife Saga) is finally out!!!:) I have been waiting for this for soooo long now. *happy happy happy dance* Any one else who are excited?;) Yaaaaay!

Another HUGE highlight of the day is obviously Harper Lee’s Go Set a Watchman (which is the #1 book on all of Amazon right now). No surprise there, but I’m dying to know if anyone here has read it. What do you think? I know there’s been tons of hot-debate over whether this one should have ever been released or now, but it’s obvious people are devouring it as we speak.

Plus, this crazy intriguing sounding one The Trouble with Paper Planes… Fabi, Jean and I are all over that! Can’t tell if it’s paranormal, or if it’s just a super-psych-thriller/mystery, or what, but that blurb has us going… whaaaaaaaa?? Actually, there are two more paranormals that have me intrigued too. I highlighted ‘em below in their section.

<—OH!!! And don’t forget to check out yesterday’s 7 Earlybird Book Releases ’cause there are two on there that definitely hit my TBR list!! Sacrifice (her dead husband’s brother) and Quirks & Kinks (she’s gonna host a fetish show!)

P.S. Let me know if I’m missing any or if you loved any (from this list or elsewhere).

AUDIOBOOK RELEASES PLUS check out the free audible trial + 2 free ebooks deal!!!

  • AND! Here’s the fun-tool again! —> Find out which of YOUR Kindle books are available as audiobooks at a BARGAIN-PRICE! <— This thing is so cool (Amazon calls it “Matchmaker“)! It’s an Amazon feature, that scans your Kindle books and will list all of the ones you have that are also available as an audiobook at a discounted price (not normal audiobook prices). This way, you can switch back and forth, seamlessly between your ebooks and your audiobooks. VERY COOL!

I have to ask, what are you reading Maryse?

Fabi July 14, 2015 at 10:48 AM

Oh, I have to get Stolen and Forgiven. It sounds like one of those traditional shifter romances. Gives me a case of nostalgia.

Grey July 14, 2015 at 10:57 AM

Oh dear Lord, after last night’s Jezebel incident, I need something to take away my book hangover.

Eenie, meenie…miney…Shay Savage :D

bev July 14, 2015 at 11:05 AM

I can not make up my mind on Go Set a Watchman. It really has me torn, which maybe means I should leave it for now. I don’t know.
Lauren, are you going to read it?

bev July 14, 2015 at 11:08 AM

Anyone who has read both, Michelle?, does the Tairen Soul remind you, faintly, of the Black Jewels?
Just in the men and their women?

Kathy P July 14, 2015 at 11:55 AM

The Ruthless People Series by JJ McAvoy are on sale for .99. I think that might be my next read.

Ela July 14, 2015 at 12:18 PM

OMG Fearless is loooooooooooooooooooooooooooong! I’m only at 10% and it feels like I’ve read to much more!

bev July 14, 2015 at 1:00 PM

Maryse, Prince Harry is bringing his Invictus games to Florida. I think that might be cool to see.

Maryse July 14, 2015 at 1:08 PM

Wait bev!!! How do I see that>???? Do you live in FL?

Maryse July 14, 2015 at 1:11 PM

Oh it IS Ela…

It took me 5 days and hours upon hours in a row of reading. A great story, excellent writing, got to know ‘em all so well, but OMG the length. That is my only complaint, I think. Mind you, this was released as a series, so reading “each book” separately might have given me more excitement in that regards.

Amy July 14, 2015 at 1:23 PM

Book. Funk. Yep, Me Before You put me in a book funk.

Although When Cicadas Cry and Pure Abandon look pretty good…or maybe I should just read an older purchase…but I don’t know what I’m in the mood for! I’m so glad y’all understand being like this. ;)

Sarah July 14, 2015 at 1:25 PM

Love Shay Savage, anything! Jezebel was awesome too!!! Maryse my favorite read this year is Sloth by Ella James are you going to read that too?!!

Maryse July 14, 2015 at 1:25 PM

Tessa… right now, nothing selected as of yet. I’m thinking maybe I should be finding out about your man, Mason. ;)

I just finished Fearless, so I’ve got to write the review first.

bev July 14, 2015 at 1:25 PM

Lol, nope. On the other side of the country. Though I’d love to live on the east coast sometime but it’s Maine that calls to me. Of course never been….

Maryse July 14, 2015 at 1:26 PM

Amy I’m right there with you. I’m in TOTAL book limbo right now…

I’m thinking a thriller or a horror from the bargains. Or trying Tijan. ;)

Kate Andrews July 14, 2015 at 1:38 PM

What about Sloth? It’s a total must read – loved it! Have you started it yet, Maryse?

Looking forward to the new Shay Savage as well. :-)

Amy July 14, 2015 at 1:44 PM

You know I’m holding a bucket of FCH peanuts over your head right now, don’t you? And any minute now, Tessa is going to come along and give it a liiiiiiittle nudge and…yeah, you know what happens next. ;)

The Invictus Games! I love that Prince Harry does that. It’s next year in Orlando, right? Those wounded servicemen are amazing…hubby went through a training course and one of the men there had lost a hand in combat, but he said this guy had learned to type quicker with one hand than most of them could with two!

Amy Q July 14, 2015 at 1:46 PM

Embrace by Stacey Lynn/S. Layne was just released too! I just picked up my copy. :D

Amy Q July 14, 2015 at 1:49 PM

***Enflame. LOL Embrace was the second book in the series.

Ela July 14, 2015 at 2:10 PM

OMG Maryse! This book is longer than KA long and that’s really long! LOL

I just saw some very upsetting news, at least for me. Beth Flynn is releasing Out of Time next week, the sequel to Nine minutes, which HAS A CLIFFY CAUSE THERE’S GOING TO BE A BOOK 3 DUE OUT IN 2016!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What was suppose to be a 2 books became a trilogy basically overnight!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Why do authors torture us? Why? Why? Why? By the time these sequels get released I’ve forgotten what I read and have to waste my time re-reading instead of reading something new from my 2,000+ TBR

Rant over….carry on

bev July 14, 2015 at 2:16 PM

Ela, your up there with Amy & Paula with your tbr count.

Ela July 14, 2015 at 2:19 PM

No kidding Bev! I started deleting books that no longer sounded interesting or had very low ratings including ones that I didn’t care for the author *oooops* don’t tell anyone….

Paula July 14, 2015 at 2:24 PM

Yes Bev and I have just 1-clicked way too much…so many on this list! (plus the early ones from yesterday) I can’t wait for Out Of Time on 23 July and will brave the cliff hanger – I think that is supposed to be a long book too which may be why it is now a trilogy?

Amy – Me Before You is wonderful and heartbreaking – one book that really gives you the feels – the sequel is out later this year, which I have high hopes for. And when is the last Fallen Crest due?? Read a few exerts on FB and can not wait!! (happy to help with the peanut throwing on FCH – I just love all of Tijan’s books)

I am ignoring my TBR list and going for The Shortstop on yesterday’s list

Jean July 14, 2015 at 2:57 PM

I. Am. Completely. Overwhelmed.

Jean July 14, 2015 at 3:03 PM

I really think Maryse should read Jezebel!!! Pretty please with a cherry on top??

And I was going to suggest SR for Amy since Shay just released a new one and it will give her the feel of Shay’s male POV, but I totally give up on that one!

Excited about the new Charlotte Stein book. There is just something about her writing style that I love!

Niki July 14, 2015 at 3:04 PM

Haven’t even looked at this list yet…just stopping in to say Fearless was awesome and didn’t feel like 800 pages to me even if it did take me five days to read :)

I decided to try Hearts of Fire since it was on sale and I love that author!! So good!!! I’m at 40% and stayed up till 4 am reading!!!

bev July 14, 2015 at 3:15 PM

Tessa, where are you?
Jean is trying to bump Mason with that boring Jezebel book!! Jean is a Jezebel.

bev July 14, 2015 at 3:17 PM

Maryse I may be overlooking it. But Him comes out on July 28. Its m/m hockey by Elle Kennedy & Sarina Bowen.

Jean July 14, 2015 at 3:25 PM

Now, now bev, that’s not nice! Lol!

I’m just dying for Maryse’s impression of Jezebel, but of course I would love her to read FCH to see if she is Team Mason or Team Logan!!!!

Paula July 14, 2015 at 3:27 PM

Team Mason!

Fabi July 14, 2015 at 3:29 PM

I bet she’ll be team Mason like Tessa and Amy.

It’s OK Jean, well still give Logan all our love. NOT that Mason doesn’t get some too. Just…Logan…*sigh*

Fabi July 14, 2015 at 3:29 PM

…and Paula *ahem*

Jean July 14, 2015 at 3:34 PM

Haha! Yep Fabi, I think you are right, she will be Team Mason, and yes I love him, but my heart belongs to Logan!!!!!

bev July 14, 2015 at 3:36 PM

Sorry, Jean.
I told Tessa I’d take up her cause, I may of become a little over enthusiastic, lol.
I figure I’ve mentioned a certain book too often.

Amy July 14, 2015 at 4:06 PM

Bev called Jean a Jezebel!!!! *cackling*

Arrrrgh Jean! I’m not the only one being stubborn. Hey, the day you pick up SGT, I will stop in the middle of whatever I am reading and pick up SR. There, see how I am trying to compromise?? *sigh* The standoff continues…

And y’all say that *I* am an instigator…looks who trying to start a FCH team war! Sorry ladies, I’m throwing a peanut in the ring for Jezebel in case Maryse isn’t in the mood for a series. *shrugs*

MichelleS July 14, 2015 at 4:07 PM

I vote for Jacked, by Tina Reber, Maryse… Stand alone… He’s a cop… She’s a doctor… Just plain ole’ good writing!!! That’s my vote… My tiny peanut…

Laura July 14, 2015 at 4:46 PM

So I posted yesterday after I read fearless book 1 and 2 mind that I haven’t read FCH then ran ehem so u will be happy to know I then read said FCH and I’m on book 2 so stow ur peanuts!!! Maryse it was pretty good u should just read it make them happy stop ur hubby having to untangle peanuts from ur hair u know

Laura July 14, 2015 at 4:49 PM

I’m also being a rebel I’m so team Nate!!

bev July 14, 2015 at 4:51 PM

Yes I am rooting for Tessa.
I have 4 peanut books, though one from before that term. And I know I’ll find and remember more. But so far Maryse has read 2 of those 4. And one of them, WIR, so many of you have read & loved.(ahem, Maryse)
Amy & Maryse are book twins and I know she has read a few of MichelleS recs.
So, that makes Tessa’s FCH the underdog.
*happy happy claps*
I LOVE an underdog story!!!!

Paula July 14, 2015 at 4:52 PM

Laura – noooooooooo! Team Mason!

fabi July 14, 2015 at 5:00 PM

Laura, Nate??? How???

Logan!!! (or Mason)…or Adam like me

marina July 14, 2015 at 5:19 PM

Jezebel rocked although I didn’t read the novella yet which goes with it, just finishing Ricochet and loving it (dark read for sure) and then on to Shay Savage!!! (curious of the reference to FCH which Mason and Logan are in???) Oh and I loved Hearts of Fire too!

Maryse July 14, 2015 at 5:21 PM

First though, bev… bad boy basketball players! Right? In FCH … they are a basketball team correct?

Amy July 14, 2015 at 5:52 PM

Laura…Nate? *blink blink* No words.

Nope Maryse…FOOTBALL!!! :D

Marina, the novella is short and makes the stuff from Jezebel easier to process. ;) And FCH is the Fallen Crest series by Tijan. It’s set in high school but does not have a YA feel at ALL.

marina July 14, 2015 at 6:04 PM

Thank you!! I was scouring trying to figure it out. I’ll read the novella next up thanks!

Tessa July 14, 2015 at 6:06 PM

Anyone wanting to read FCH, DO NOT READ MASON FIRST! FCH, the free one, is first. Mason is more of a 3.5 book.

*squees* Laura’s reading it! I can so see liking Nate. He’s an underdog in the love section, just like Adam is.

Maryse, the football is minor compared to the rest of the story. It’s for real good. Besides, if you and Amy are book twins, look at how much she loves it too! *grins*

Bev, once Maryse reads FCH, I’m totally rooting with you for WIR.

On a very non-complaint note, I did recommend Tristan and Dannika and she read that. So that’s was a big Yeah! She also tried Fear me, but it wasn’t her type. *shrugs* Which is also good, cause she tried it. So, after FCH, I’m helping the WIR side.

Tessa July 14, 2015 at 6:07 PM

Oh, today, Me Before You, still only 2.99.

marina July 14, 2015 at 6:26 PM

Just realized King of Hearts is out in 2 days. ALL OVER IT!!! Need to quickly read the Jezebel Novella and Shay Savage’s Caged in the next day!

Amy July 14, 2015 at 6:39 PM

Erm…Maryse doesn’t *always* love my recs. Fisher’s Light…I ended up eating crow. Or rather drinking a crow cocktail. ;)

Diane M July 14, 2015 at 6:42 PM

Do not read Mason first lol, I made that mistake and it messed the series up for me a bit. She should really have a warning.

“Do not read the first book in this box set first, it’s third and a half, read book 2 first, thank you, T”

Diane M July 14, 2015 at 6:43 PM

Amy- was gonna give you a me before u hug but you seem OK

marina July 14, 2015 at 6:52 PM

When I finish Ricochet I’m going to have to keep clicking on it to keep it up front on my Kindle Carousel. Have you seen that cover? I mean, seriously that may be the hottest guy on a cover EVER. And the book was written with him in mind. Um, yeah.

Diane M July 14, 2015 at 6:56 PM

Totally agree marina, so hot. Do you like it? It looks right up my alley, was considering it as well.

Michelle July 14, 2015 at 7:12 PM

Bev, Tairen Soul and Black Jewels are faintly reminiscent of each other but I LOVE them both for their individual epic stories so difficult to compare. I think if others are looking for a fantasy escape after Tairen Soul, you would love Black Jewels.

Another wonderful fantasy read that I just finished is Poison Study by Maria V. Snyder! It’s the best one I’ve read since Tairen Soul which I finished early in January. Really recommend this one for fantasy lovers and others getting into the genre. The world is not as complicated as some and you can fall into the story easily.

Now, I just started Warprize by Elizabeth Vaughan which was in an earlier post comparing it to Golden Dynasty and so far I love it as well! On a reading roll!

Michelle July 14, 2015 at 7:17 PM

Oooo Stolen and Forgiven is mine…click! I’m thinking about going for Sacrifice too from yesterday.

Some freebies to come once I finish dinner up and can get them together to post.

bev July 14, 2015 at 7:55 PM

Michelle, yes exactly. I was thinking in a if you like this you may like that.
Poison Study!! I read that when it came out. Random library pull. Really liked it And a second book I want to say. Been awhile though.
I have had my eye on Warprize for years. I used to read the Amazon forums and it appeared often but never found it in pb local and before I went digital. Let me know if I should finally one click.

bev July 14, 2015 at 7:59 PM

MichelleS, not as far as I’d thought I’d be. They are unwrapping their gifts. But I’m SO liking it. I forget how much I like world building until I’m reading it. I’m really having fun with it so thanks for the rec.

bev July 14, 2015 at 8:03 PM

Tessa, thanks and uh-oh. If we start teaming up it could get crazy, lol.

Amy, book twin or reading twin is something i read on a blog awhile ago, lol. Just someone that your taste are or are mostly identical.

Molly July 14, 2015 at 8:21 PM

Oh Bev you read Poison Study too! Wasn’t it great – I really enjoyed the whole premise and the slowly developing relationship between Yelena and Valek. There are 4 books I see for the series and two more planned I think. I will let you know about Warprize but if it’s any early indication, I already bought the second book!

Fabi July 14, 2015 at 9:07 PM

Michelle that’s a great list. I picked up a bunch of them. (even though I keep saying I’m going to stop adding to my tbr since already I can’t get through it in my lifetime):-/ But I couldn’t resist some of these. Thanks so much. These are awesome.

marina July 14, 2015 at 9:11 PM

Diane, I love Ricochet. It’s definitely dark but if you like dark reads and can handle some grit, violence, intensity… then go for it! I squirmed a bit through some scenes but I find the book totally captivating. I kind of wish this was a series. Especially so I can see more of that cover model ;)

bev July 14, 2015 at 9:19 PM

Michelle, That is one I’d have to reread to pick up the series again. Around that time I also had started the Enchanted Inc series, but that one is on the cute & sweet side. May need at some time to pick it up again too.

bev July 14, 2015 at 9:20 PM

Master of Crows, really liked that one.

Grey July 14, 2015 at 9:26 PM

*record scratch*

whoa, whoa, whoa… flag on the play. *see what I did there* ;-) now Fallen Crest…football… we’re picking teams? Gah, ok, twist my arm, I’m in. I was gonna go with Shay Savage, but instead, I went to see my husband, erm…uh… I mean Joe Manganiello & Channing Tatum shake it like it was their job today. Ok, so technically it was their job, but I certainly enjoyed the hard work they put into it. The acting…the storyline! Ok, yeah I went for shameless visual gluttony, *shrug*, worked for me LOL!

Where was I? Ah yes, Fallen Crest, do we have a reading order, please!

Tessa July 14, 2015 at 9:59 PM
Tessa July 14, 2015 at 10:00 PM

She needs to add Fallen Fourth Down after Mason, and the alternative to FCP is totally not needed. She re-wrote it totally and made the re-write Fallen Crest Family.

Oh, and soon, Fallen Crest University!

Grey July 14, 2015 at 10:08 PM

Thank you! *hands Tessa a new bag of peanuts*

Jennifer July 14, 2015 at 10:11 PM

Oh my gosh…completely late to the party, but wanted to wait until all books were out….just read Night Owl by M. Pearce….could not put it down, great story!

Tessa July 14, 2015 at 10:23 PM

Yeah, more peanuts! *begins nibbling on one, eyes wide*

Alright, after Tairen Soul, you can understand having issues leaving my book fog. That’s why I went with Love Unscripted, since it’s a totally different genre. That said, is it going to be sweet like this the whole way through?

fabi July 14, 2015 at 11:31 PM

Grey, I want to go see that!!! I waited until the first one came out on DVD cause I was a little shy about going to the theatre for it. But I can’t resist this second one. Even my favorite SYTYCD star is in it. And, I swear I saw Channing Tatum’s look alike at Walgreen’s Sunday. I did such a fast double take that I think I strained my neck. 0-0

Cheryl July 14, 2015 at 11:33 PM

I’m reading The Shortstop. I just can’t resist a sports theme story. Childhood sweethearts with major angst.

Not sure what I’m reading when I’m done though. Several on this list look good.

Amy, how was Me Before You? I reserved it at the library.

Laura July 15, 2015 at 1:13 AM

Yes totally are he looks after both of them and sounds really tall and quite muscley! I do like Mason aswell though he’s all broody and I like Logan cause he’s sometimes sweet and funny awwww ok so I’m on book 2 now anyway not really far into it but I forgot after reading these how mean kids are in high school!!

Tessa July 15, 2015 at 1:46 AM

*grins* See, I like Nate. I’m still all for Mason, but I get Nate and why someone would really adore him.

Marit July 15, 2015 at 2:06 AM

Maryse! The Pentagram Child: Part Two (Afterlife Saga) is finally out!!!:) I have been waiting for this for soooo long now. *happy happy happy dance* Any one else who are excited?;) Yaaaaay!

And Jezebel!!!!!!! Holy macaroni! At first I got angry..But now I’m like what a brilliant twist;) A different 5 star read:)

Lisa M July 15, 2015 at 7:08 AM

Don’t forget to add Srpehanie Hudson’s, the Pentagram Child Part 2 (The AfterLife Saga). Love this series!!!! It just came out today!!! Can’t get enough of that Draven!!!

Jean July 15, 2015 at 8:36 AM

Tessa, I was wondering the same thing about Love Unscripted… Is it this sweet through the whole book? I guess I am so used to a lot of drama and angst in my books by this point. I’m only at 42%….. haven’t had much time to read this week and I’m kinda struggling with the slow buildup…. Come on already!!!! (Please no peanut throwing)!

Diane M July 15, 2015 at 9:23 AM

Thanks marina!! I downloaded a sample and I’m hooked, great writing and I love a gritty dark read

Tessa July 15, 2015 at 10:34 AM

Oh gah, 42%? I finally went to Maryse’s review and I guess it does finally get not sweet, but this is killing me. I hate to say it, but I’m kind of bored. It’s too easy and I’m only 20%

Jean July 15, 2015 at 10:41 AM

Omg Tessa! I thought it was just me and I was afraid to say anything (I’ve had enough peanuts thrown at me! I am struggling and a little bored…. thinking of all the other books I could be reading…. but I don’t want it to be a DNF because of all the love for it.

Tessa July 15, 2015 at 11:15 AM

YES! Worse, I’ve got library books that are calling me, including the next Throne of Glass book, Heir of Fire, which I’m definitely reading next. *grins* However, Maryse’s review said it was all sweet until boom, emotion city. So I have hope. Oh, and 28%, not 20%. *shrugs* Still sweet.

Maryse July 15, 2015 at 11:28 AM

Oh no it gets romance-angst rough you guys!!!

It’s a long book, but the angst plays out big time!

Jean July 15, 2015 at 12:54 PM

Thanks Maryse! I will continue.

Funny how you avoided all the banter here yesterday and us fighting over which book you should read next! So, what are you reading Maryse?

Cheryl July 15, 2015 at 2:42 PM

Just started Pure Abandon. Has an Arsen feel to it.

Speaking of Mia Asher anyone know when Sweetest Venom is being released?

Maryse July 15, 2015 at 2:44 PM

Nothing… yet. I’m knee deep in grocery bags. Here’s a video of me… to give you an idea of what I mean:

I’m starting tonight, and I *think* I’m still in the mood for gritty… so Blood & Roses? Or… Fallen Crest High? LOL!!!! GAH HELP!!!!

Jean July 15, 2015 at 2:51 PM

Haha Maryse! That’s great!

Now put all those bags away and read Jezebel and the short novella!!!! Lol! I guarantee you will be blown away!

Jean July 15, 2015 at 2:53 PM

Oh Cheryl, I was wondering the same thing about Sweetest Venom. I even emailed Mia asking her about it… response yet. Team Ronan all the way!!!!

Jean July 15, 2015 at 2:55 PM

Maryse if you still want gritty, Blood & Roses would probably be it (although I haven’t read it yet). I do not think FCH is gritty at all. *Ducking from Tessa’a incoming truckload of peanuts*

Ela July 15, 2015 at 3:07 PM

OMG Cheryl…..Arsen feel????? One-clicked Pure Abandon! Thanks!

Cheryl July 15, 2015 at 3:42 PM

Ela, I’m only at 20% but hoping it doesn’t disappoint. I hope I didn’t speak too soon comparing it to Arsen. The h at this point is happily married, with a kid and not depressed like the h in Arsen. It’s just she has an attraction to the other MC, and as she says, she is out of the honeymoon phase of marriage. We’ll see…

MichelleS July 15, 2015 at 3:51 PM

MARYSE: Still in the mood for “gritty”???? PLEASE READ KING!!!! It was gritty. And look, it made Amy stomp her feet like crazy, so you should read it just to see what all that fuss was about!! Pretty please? With peanuts on top?

MichelleS July 15, 2015 at 3:54 PM

I, too, still wanted gritty – after Fearless – which is why I went with the next in that series (it’s about Michael, the quiet, broody, “creepy” one and that waitress at the bar they all go to). So far so good – definitely darker subject matter than Fearless, if you can believe that!

Maryse July 15, 2015 at 4:10 PM

I like feet stomping!!!!

Maryse July 15, 2015 at 4:11 PM

Okay THAT was my main problem with “Fearless” (which is not a big problem at all, but who the heck is Michael?

GAH!!! That drove me crazy. I was constantly backtracking trying to remember who the side-characters were. One of ‘em was part of a big reveal, even, and I was all… who’s he? LOL!!!! :P

Julie July 15, 2015 at 4:20 PM

I’m in the third book in the Blood & Roses series. It’s good although a bit far fetched. I think I’m going to start Revved next – anyone read it yet? I read Shay Savage’s Caged when it was fan fiction and it was really good.

bev July 15, 2015 at 4:42 PM

Maryse, I just saw a one star review for FCH on Goodreads because its for “people who swoon over Thoughtless and Beautiful Disaster”, lol.
And remember how nice she was when you mis- pronounced her name?

Paula July 15, 2015 at 5:15 PM

Enjoyed The Shortstop – think I’ll give Caged a go next and then Carry your heart – unless something else catches my eye !

fabi July 15, 2015 at 5:36 PM

Maryse, that was super cute (and useful) with all the bags. :-)

Maryse July 15, 2015 at 5:48 PM

bev!!! TRUE! And I swoon over Thoughtless & Beautiful Disaster! That’s me!!!! Okay… starting…

Maryse July 15, 2015 at 5:49 PM

Thank you fabi!! It’s pretty darn cool… and now my cupboards are neat, and nothing is wasted. :D

Cheryl July 15, 2015 at 6:03 PM

Julie I read Revved and although I can’t remember a lot about it, I do remember I liked it.

Maryse I ordered some coffee and something for the computer that my son wanted. Sad I missed out on the iRobot Roomba, I hate cleaning my kitchen and mud room tile floor- would be cool to set the Roomba and walk away. ;)

MichelleS July 15, 2015 at 6:05 PM

My problem with Fearless was that it was just too long. I loved it. Loved the writing style. Loved the story. The characters. The dialogue. But needed editing!!!! Now…. the next one Price of Angels is a manageable 423 pages. Michael is the Sergeant at Arms in the MC. The one who never smiles. Everyone avoids him. He’s creepy and quiet and loved to read. Remember that scene when Mercy goes into the bar and the waitress doesn’t flirt with him because she is obviously scared? But she goes over to Michael’s table? Kind of setting up the next story….?

Maryse July 15, 2015 at 6:22 PM

ahhhh okay sorta…. yeah!!!!

And I agree… my only two real complaints was too long, and then I had to keep backtracking to figure out who was who.

bev July 15, 2015 at 6:23 PM

I have to share this even though not a cocktail. Look so good and so pretty. Maybe a morning book club with a good cup of coffee? Amy, you know you want to make these, lol.

Maryse July 15, 2015 at 6:30 PM

Oh GOD lemon anything-dessert is my FAVORITE!!!

Tessa July 15, 2015 at 6:33 PM

I’ve read Blood and Roses. I’ll be honest, I didn’t think Blood and Roses was awesome. It was good, just not awesome. I didn’t get that “Z” feel or “Zarek” feel, but many feel it. This isn’t an encouragement towards FCH, honest! I just think there are better “gritty” feels out there.

MichelleS July 15, 2015 at 6:37 PM

I made this lemon blueberry cake a couple of days ago…. yum….

What are you reading Maryse? I tried to figure it out by going back in this thread, but can’t figure it out. (My peanuts were set aside I see).

MichelleS July 15, 2015 at 6:38 PM

…. are we still talking about gritty?…… King was gritty……. **whistles to self**

bev July 15, 2015 at 6:42 PM

MichelleS, that looks crazy good!
Has anyone ever made a lemon icebox pie? Where you use lemon juice & condensed milk?

MichelleS July 15, 2015 at 6:45 PM

Bev – I could have eaten the batter all by myself, it was that good – and the frosting (OMG, heaven). What are you reading, Bev? I feel like we are all reading something different. Wish there was that ONE BOOK, you know? That we could all go nuts about.

Maryse July 15, 2015 at 6:55 PM

LOL! I’m thinking Fallen Crest High… but then you bring up King, MichelleS…

Maryse July 15, 2015 at 6:55 PM

And please can you make me that cake? I really want it badly!!!

MichelleS July 15, 2015 at 6:57 PM

You said GRITTY!!!! FCH is not gritty….. and if you’re not in the mood for that, you’ll miss out on all it’s goodness…. I am going to get pelted with all your FCH peanuts, but, I too, just read Fearless (and it took me 4 or 5 days, I lost track) so I know how you are feeling. I’d go with King. **ducks all incoming peanuts that are now coming it at top speed**

MichelleS July 15, 2015 at 6:58 PM

Tell you what…. read first chapter of each and let the chips (or peanuts) fall where they may….. :-)

MichelleS July 15, 2015 at 7:00 PM

Don’t make the cake. Just the batter and the frosting. I missed out once I had the whole cake! LOL! It really was the best dang cake I’ve had in a while. Not too sweet either.

Tessa July 15, 2015 at 7:03 PM

MichelleS! Though, I want Maryse in the right frame of mind when reading FCH, but still! This is as close as we’ve gotten to her actually reading it.

Tessa July 15, 2015 at 7:04 PM

Though, agree. FCH is not gritty. Angsty, but not gritty.

bev July 15, 2015 at 7:04 PM

I’m still with Lord of the Fading Lands. Should finish tonight and then thinking Dark Water.
The one I’m looking forward to is Him by Elle Kennedy & Sarina Bowen.

Tessa July 15, 2015 at 7:08 PM

I won the new KA Robinson book, Ultimate Temptations! *spins in joy* KA Robinson and also a PNR.

bev July 15, 2015 at 7:09 PM

So, my memory is bad, horrible really. So help me out Tessa.
FCH her pov?
And not gritty like biker gritty. But I found Mason & Logan kind of scary. And I think they all have alot of anger to deal with, so maybe gritty like that. It’s not a sweet, I’ll smile my way through it book.

Maryse July 15, 2015 at 7:10 PM

I like chips. I hope they fall in my mouth. Salt ‘n vinegar please. :P

bev July 15, 2015 at 7:10 PM

Congratulations, Tessa!!

Maryse July 15, 2015 at 7:10 PM

Yay Tessa!!!!!

Cheryl July 15, 2015 at 7:13 PM

Bev and Michelle both those recipes look great!! I love lemon desserts!!! Yum!!!

Cheryl July 15, 2015 at 7:15 PM

That’s awesome Tessa!! :)

Tessa July 15, 2015 at 7:17 PM

Thank you!

Bev, yep. All her POV, and yeah… Logan and Mason are pretty angry. It’s definitely not sweet, but I think gritty is more like biker books that you wonder who will live? Not sure, but that’s what I get. Those mob/ mc/ gang books where it’s not just the scary hero, but the story in general.

bev July 15, 2015 at 7:23 PM

Love salt & vinegar chips! Though now craving lemon curd. Not good as just started one of those cut out all the unhealthy stuff for 3 weeks type thing. I got a new job that I start next month. Want to feel more energetic and maybe lose couple pounds before hand.

MichelleS July 15, 2015 at 7:26 PM

AWESOME! A new job! Yay Bev.

All this talk about chips and lemon desserts – time to go dig out that cake! And I avoided it ALL DAY.

So….. what did you decide? High School angst??? Or gritty OMG maybe a tiny wee little cliff hanger that doesn’t detract from the greatness of the book and will be resolved in a few weeks???? hmmmm?

Grey July 15, 2015 at 7:29 PM

King was gritty *nods*, I completely agree.

So, I one clicked Fallen Crest High, and then started reading Victoria Ashley’s Slade… um.. *call a medic because I can’t resuscitate myself*

Maryse July 15, 2015 at 7:32 PM

I decided to buckle down an write my Fearless review first. LOL!!!

Then… ??? I’ll come back and let y’all know. :D

MichelleS July 15, 2015 at 7:39 PM

Grey – you can’t write something like that and not expect me to go straight to amazon and check it out…. what the???? are you serious? a sex addict? The good thing: it’s only 176 pages…. which means…. the bad thing: it’s probably just one long sex scene!! LOL! I love great sexual tension, but don’t just want sex sex sex in a book. You report back though, ok? because it does have a bunch of 4 and 5 star reviews!!!

MichelleS July 15, 2015 at 7:51 PM

When I think of gritty, I think Madeline Sheehan or Shay Savage. MC Clubs or Evan Arden. The language and the situations… I liked FCH a lot (even though I stopped somewhere along the way and now can’t remember where I was – the adding of extra books and out of sequence stuff messed me up). I would never call FCH “gritty” though.

Is FCH complete now? Was there an ending?

Michelle July 15, 2015 at 7:53 PM

I made the lemon blueberry cheesecake squares from her website MichelleS and they were delicious! I’m always looking for good recipes…I like this site too –

Look at you pushing King haha. I threw a fit like Amy but after calming down, I will read the next one. I mean I need to find out what all of THAT was at the ending.

Back to Warprize which is not as good as Golden Dynasty (can’t recreate that magic) BUT it is very good and a fabulous rec for those who want that kind of read again minus the alternate universe stuff.

Grey July 15, 2015 at 8:23 PM

MichelleS, uh, keeping it completely real here, it was pretty dirty. Strippers, booze, sex. There is a storyline, but dayum… *blush* the smut is off the chain!

It is a short fun read, I am enjoying it!

bev July 15, 2015 at 8:26 PM

Thanks MichelleS, I’m super excited by it. But it does mean less reading & chatting time. =-O

Maryse is teasing us, lol.

I have to admit I didn’t go as crazy for Golden Dynasty as most did.

fabi July 15, 2015 at 10:25 PM

Grey, I read Slade last year and remember liking it. Its another series I need to follow up on. *sigh* I am starting to really hate series. I need to stop starting them until they’re completed.

MichelleS July 15, 2015 at 10:33 PM

…. Shhhhh… Don’t tell anyone… I never read Arsen (it was mentioned again earlier in this thread)… Peanut gallery is in full force lately

Julie July 15, 2015 at 10:46 PM

I have FCH – seeing all the love, maybe I need to read it next. Seems like I started it but didn’t get very far.

bev July 15, 2015 at 10:52 PM

I have to say Slade was a no for me. I’m not sure I finished it, turned into a skim I know. But then I find stripers kind of cheesy, lol, so that may of played into it.

Tessa July 16, 2015 at 12:58 AM

Julie, you should. Tell us your thoughts, even if you don’t like it. *grins* I promise not to take off anyone’s head who disagrees with me about it.

Slade, I’m the same way! Male strippers are so blah for me. Then again, seeing the pics of Channing Tatum doing Magic Mike (which I’ve not seen, I admit it), my only thought was, he doesn’t look very smart. *sighs* I can’t get past that. He could be brilliant, but the pictures have him looking so confused or scared. It’s just not sexy to me.

Jean, did you get to the angsty part?

Cheryl July 16, 2015 at 7:43 AM

*whisper/yells* MichelleS, whaaat?!!!! Arsen was a great read!!! All kinds of angsty and I think Maryse gave it 5* Get started before the peanuts rain down on you.

Diane M July 16, 2015 at 8:25 AM

Congrats Bev!! I love salt n vinegar chips too but my new favorite is dill pickle flavored chips!! So good

Jean July 16, 2015 at 9:17 AM

Ugh so busy today!

Bev, congrats on the new job!

MichelleS!! You have to read Arsen like right now!

Slade. I don’t usually like strippers either, but I liked Slade!!!!

Tessa congrats on winning the book! How did you do it? I’m constantly trying to win, but never do:( With regard to LU, I am at 64% and still no angst for me. Some upcoming potential angst, but……Argh!!!! Did you finish?

Michelle July 16, 2015 at 9:38 AM

Until the End of the World by Sarah Lyon Fleming is FREE right now! Go go go get it!

Michelle July 16, 2015 at 9:38 AM

Lyons…I was too excited!

Jean July 16, 2015 at 9:50 AM

I second that Michelle! Loved the series!

bev July 16, 2015 at 9:53 AM

Jean & Diane, Thank You.

Diane, I love pickles & I love chips but I have not convinced myself to try those yet.

Tessa July 16, 2015 at 10:30 AM

Yes, get Until the End of the World. Free is an insane price!

Jean, not done, nope. Almost half way through it. It’s just so… nice. No real conflict at all. As for winning the book, pure luck. I won through Tijan’s facebook page. Only seven other people tried? Geesh, and it looks good. It must have sneaked around everyone’s feed.

MichelleS July 16, 2015 at 10:36 AM

Thank you, Michelle. I just picked up Until the End of the World. What a deal!

Cheryl July 16, 2015 at 11:09 AM

Just finished Pure Abandon. LOVED it!!! Well-written, angsty, love-triangle. It reminded me of Arsen, maybe not in the level of angst, but a h who is married, thought she knew what she wanted in order to be happy, but she ends up questioning her life, her husband, her choices. I knew all along who I thought she should end up with, but I still felt maybe she should choose the other MC. *my heart hurt for him* That said, I think it ended how it should. That epilogue *sigh* …heart palpitations wondering who she would choose…and that ending *tear running down my face*

Tessa July 16, 2015 at 1:41 PM

It’s first line Thursday!

“You never know which way the wind blows” was one of my father’s favorite expressions.
Love Interupted by Tina Reber
Only 48% in.

bev July 16, 2015 at 1:59 PM

So I finished Lord of the Fading Lands. But I didn’t get to see the fading lands, lol. I love her dad. It was a really good read.:-D

bev July 16, 2015 at 2:07 PM

No first line yet. Not sure what I’m reading next.

Lol, I just clicked on a sale book, The Frenchman, to take a closer look and apparently bought it in April. Not even the slightest memory of this.

MichelleS July 16, 2015 at 2:42 PM

Bev: I truly believe you have to read all five in that series. No one is a complete story… I read them back to back… Had to see what happens!

MichelleS July 16, 2015 at 2:45 PM

First line Thursday;

“September 1st. I think I found my killer.”

Price of Angels, Dartmoor Book 2.

Paula July 16, 2015 at 3:16 PM

Caged is very good BUT does have a CH. Not an oh no, but a “I really want to know what happens” one! Book 2 out 4th August and book 3 25th August so not too long to wait but I have read the synopsis of both and they are going to give major feels!

bev July 16, 2015 at 5:50 PM

That weird Thursday quiet again.

Tessa July 16, 2015 at 5:59 PM

I know! It’s kinda creepy.

Cheryl July 16, 2015 at 6:09 PM

Back to not knowing what to read next… book funk *sigh*

Maryse July 16, 2015 at 6:27 PM

Guys. I decided on Jezebel… I’m not far in yet so we’ll see, but so far at 15% and enjoying.

bev July 16, 2015 at 6:30 PM

Let’s see……

Amy woke up not knowing who she was or where she is. But there is a handsome man in a three piece suite who swears she is his wife. She slowly gets to know him and let her guard down. Falling for him little more every day. But a new man, dark and dangerous, at her coffee place. He says that Amy is his ……dun dun dun

Michelle July 16, 2015 at 6:35 PM

Ok finished Warprize and the second book, Warsworn, already and definitely enjoyed them. The story is very emotional and has an abundance of great characters. I’m taking a break before the last one and going to start Bloodfire by Helen Harper. I was going to read Stolen and Forgiven which I bought I think on a bad whim. It’s actually two short stories in one which I do not do well with shorter stories and forming a connection enough to care. Meh oh well…maybe I will read it eventually.

bev July 16, 2015 at 6:35 PM

Uh-oh. Are they both in love with Amy or are they confused. She just saw a picture that could only be her twin. Her evil book twin……Maryse!! *GASP*
DUN …dun… dun..

Tessa July 16, 2015 at 6:47 PM

It better be super gritty, even if everyone denies how slow and predictable they thought most of it was!

Anne July 16, 2015 at 6:49 PM

Hey guys!! I’ve MIA for so long! How are you??

I don’t know what happened to me but I was in a reading funk for several weeks. Nothing grabbed my attention which totally sucked lol! But thanks to Manwhore +1 my reading rut is over! Yaay! Loved that book and Malcolm was awesome! A perfect ending to book 1! I hope Katy wrotes about Tahoe and Callan next :D

Also read King of Hearts by L.H. Cosway and seriously one of the best books I’ve read this year! I was intrigued by Oliver King and his story since Hearts of Fire and was anxiously awaiting his book. So happy it didn’t disappoint! Seriously L.H. Cosway writes such unique, amazing and heart breaking stories she has become a favorite author of mine.

I am going to read With a Twist next :D

Diane M July 16, 2015 at 7:01 PM

Lol Bev! Can’t wait for your review on that one Maryse

Maryse July 16, 2015 at 7:04 PM

bev… the Frenchman?

I like dun dun dunning!!!!

Diane M July 16, 2015 at 7:09 PM

She needs drama lol!!

bev July 16, 2015 at 7:18 PM

I get bored when I don’t bring a book or music, lol. And maybe watched too many soaps.

The Frenchman by Lesley Young. This is not the first time I’ve forgotten I’ve bought a book. But usually have some recall when reminded. This zip, nada.

Diane M July 16, 2015 at 7:24 PM

Speaking of soap operas… My mom was recently giving me shit about something my 9 yo daughter was watching and I reminded her she let me watch Days of our lives when I was that age

Tessa July 16, 2015 at 7:29 PM

Alright, I’m being very serious. At what percent does this book get angsty? I’m reading Love, Unscripted and am at 52% wanting some psycho fan to go homicidal just so something isn’t all peachy roses.

bev July 16, 2015 at 7:30 PM

That was my first soap. Way too young to be watching Patch & Kayla, lol. But when Marlena started levitating I switched shows.

bev July 16, 2015 at 7:32 PM

I do remember that something happens just not what. And that it happened too close to the end to feel resolved.

Diane M July 16, 2015 at 7:41 PM

And the evil Stefano !! Yeah, when I was a kid, Frankie and Jen were trying to bust a prostitution ring with the girl that hosts the Biggest loser, we were obsessed!

Maryse July 16, 2015 at 7:42 PM

Tessa… peachy roses are about to go bye bye!! ;)

Tasha J July 16, 2015 at 7:51 PM

Hi guys! I just finished book 5 in the Charley Davidson series, i love them and they’re really addictive but now I’m moving on to something different so I don’t finish them all too fast and have to wait forever for the next book. So has anyone read the Unborn series by Amber Lynn Natusch? Or the 5th Wave? Or maybe Downside ghosts? I can’t decide….

Maryse July 16, 2015 at 8:42 PM

Okay see? It’s stuff like this that infuriates me and makes me even more “into” a book.

He’s asking her out… she’s SO into him and flirting back and then…

“Don’t fish for compliments. It’s beneath you, Cheri,” he answered in a curt tone.

Celeste pulled the phone from her ear and stared at it as if it had just slapped her. Her heart sank into her stomach at his rudeness.

*gasp* OH NO HE DIDN’T!!!! Grrrrrrrr… what’s HIS problem? *sideeyes the rude sexy jerk*

Larsen, K. (2015-06-05). Jezebel (Kindle Locations 752-754). K. Larsen. Kindle Edition.

Maryse July 16, 2015 at 8:43 PM

I read the 5th Element… it’s good… but didn’t get me like Downside did.

Tessa July 16, 2015 at 8:48 PM

Thank goodness. I was rooting for Angel.

Downside Ghost get a lot of love here. Not as much humor as grit, but still good. The other two I put on my wish list. I’d say Downside Ghost would be good because it’s so different from the Charlie books that you won’t get the two storylines confused.

Niki July 16, 2015 at 10:59 PM

Tasha, I really love both those series!!! Depends on if you feel like witches/magic or wolves!! Hmm makes me want to read PNR now… or King of Hearts…. what to read….

Anne July 16, 2015 at 11:29 PM

Niki read King of Hearts!! Sooo good!!

I am reading Maybe in Another Life and its so unique! Really liking it so far :)

bev July 16, 2015 at 11:38 PM

Finally decided on a read. I want to go with the potential ease of a YA. So, my first line.

“On the first day of September, the world went dark.” — The Geography of You and Me by Jennifer E. Smith.

Laura July 17, 2015 at 7:12 AM

You guys!!!! Could you have maybe have mentioned before I started reading the fallen crest series that it’s not FINISHED yet?!? Did this slip ur minds now I have to bloody wait! Oh this is unfair u all owe me a book now! I am totally adding a sling shot with the peanuts!!

fabi July 17, 2015 at 7:15 AM

LOL Laura. I feel your pain. At least it didn’t have a CH. I keep telling myself I will not start incomplete series anymore. They drive me crazy. Especially since I forget the story before the next book comes out.

Cheryl July 17, 2015 at 8:27 AM

Anne, I loved Manwhore and Manwhore +1, can’t wait for Ms. Manwhore in October!!

I’m reading Toxic and so far so good. :)

Jean July 17, 2015 at 8:57 AM

Tessa, I finally hit the angst at about 80%. The last 20% is pure angst and I unfortunately had to put the book down this morning at 91%…….now I’m dying to get back to it to finish it. Still don’t know if I’ll read the next book although I think it is shorter.

Cheryl, what Toxic book??

Cheryl July 17, 2015 at 9:02 AM

Jean, it’s Toxic by Kim Karr. It’s a standalone and so far it’s good. Have a feeling there are some major twists/angst coming up. :)

Jean July 17, 2015 at 9:15 AM

Thanks Cheryl! I thought you were talking about Toxic by Rachel Van Dyken from the Ruin series, which I loved!

Laura July 17, 2015 at 9:36 AM

Me to fabi I try not to read them if they aren’t done yet, I’m looking for another series now don’t know what I’m in the mood for though :(

Jean July 17, 2015 at 9:55 AM

I’m feeling the same way these days with the series Fabi.

Maryse, so happy you are reading Jezebel! The short novella is a must read……it really ties everything up! Can’t wait for your review! (Sorry Tessa, maybe FCH will be next?)

Tessa July 17, 2015 at 10:11 AM

*sighs* At least she’s enjoying it. Though, I swear, she’s never reading FCH at this point. lol Is Jezebel even gritty at all?

Jean, 80%? Seriously? *stares at tablet* Just… Do you realize how many pages it is to get to 80%?

Grey July 17, 2015 at 10:14 AM

Wait just a peanut throwing minute! *stomps* I didn’t know FCH wasn’t finished. Nope, *sets kindle down* not doing it. Gah, my cliffhanger loving…scratch that…hating self can’t handle it!

I actually didn’t read ANYTHING yesterday, I think I may be ill, someone check my temp, please!

So, today, I am at a crossroads (I did finish the Victoria Ashley Slade, Hemi, Cale books the other night, it was steamy and raunchy, I totally needed it after the mindf*ck clench of Jezebel LOL!) No idea what’s gonna get my readership today, tomorrow and Sunday LOL!

Jean July 17, 2015 at 10:44 AM

Tessa, believe me, I get it! So many times I almost DNF but kept going. And don’t worry, I know Maryse will read FCH……it may be just what she needs after Jezebel!

Wow Grey, you flew through that series! Only read Slade, but have the others downloaded!

Amy July 17, 2015 at 10:52 AM

Oh my…I have so much to catch up on here. I’ve missed y’all!

I had some furniture delivered yesterday so I had to spend Wednesday moving out some pieces to make room, and once we started moving out those pieces I saw where I wanted to deep clean (as in cleaning baseboards with a toothbrush kind of cleaning) which led to deep cleaning the rest of each room and bleaching out the kitchen and bathrooms and scrubbing down walls and brushing out window sills and waxing the wood floors and …yeah, I got a little carried away. ;) I may have felt grimy after all that (gross!) but my house is clean!

Okay, now to catch up on what my ladies have been up to…

Amy July 17, 2015 at 11:07 AM

Maryse is reading Jezebel?!?

YAY!!!!!!!!!!!! :D You have to keep updating us, Maryse…maybe a video update? Those are pretty hilarious…

Okay, let’s see…
– FCH is *not* complete but at least no CH’s
– I’m not big on series right now either :? Just kinda tired of ‘em
– Pure Abandon has now been moved up for me!
– *snicker* Tessa is in a bit of rare form :P Are we frustrated, dear?

Tessa July 17, 2015 at 11:11 AM

I’ve been reading this book for days now, and it’s BORING! *slams head on the table* Extremely boring. The ‘I wanted Angelica to have a gun in her purse and shoot everyone in the pub’ type boring. *sighs* I never realized how much I love those tummy twists until they were gone.

Jean July 17, 2015 at 11:19 AM

Yep Tessa, the whole time I was hoping for more drama….a car accident, kidnapping, bitch slap fight…..anything!!!!!

Maryse July 17, 2015 at 11:28 AM

Okay Amy! I’ll do a video. :D

You guys… I’m so scared!!

Maryse July 17, 2015 at 11:30 AM

P.S. Yay Jennifer!! I’m so glad you read it. Night Owl rocked my world!!!

bev July 17, 2015 at 11:32 AM

No bitch slapping please.
I like angst, I do, it can be fun. But I have to admit I sometimes get bored when it seems angst for angst sake.

Tessa July 17, 2015 at 11:46 AM

Bev, have you read Love Unscripted?

Tessa July 17, 2015 at 11:59 AM

Wait, you said you did. *grins* I remember now.

Anne July 17, 2015 at 1:23 PM

Cheryl I didn’t know about Ms Manwhore! So excited! I love Katy’s writing!

Jean July 17, 2015 at 1:32 PM

Tessa, just finished LU…..sigh….my brain feels fried by how long it took me to finish. And although the was no CH, I definitely could have used more but just can’t subject myself to the second book just yet. Need a break.

Now, what the hell do I read next?!? Been sitting here for 10 minutes looking at my TBR list in a total stupor….. need a change in genre…..maybe Blood & Roses series, Station Eleven, or some series i haven’t finished yet, or something new like I See You. Ugh…I’m in a rut…..

Tessa July 17, 2015 at 2:43 PM

I think my problem is I have a book lined up for after it.
