Happy NEW RELEASE DAY!! I’m so excited about this week ’cause I’m heading to the RT Book Lovers convention soon and I can’t wait! Annnnnnnd…. I need your help, on my trip. Why? Because I’ll be reporting from the event and asking our favorite authors questions (I have a few in mind already!) but, I want you guys “with me”. So tell me, in the comments, or by email… what authors you have questions for, and what your question is, and I’ll see if I can track ’em down!!! YAY I CAN’T WAIT!
ALSO!!! Look what else was just released!! Echo (Black Lotus #2) by E.K. Blaire —–>
Oh… and what are you reading today? The blurb for that one up there to the left is making me *squirrel* BIG TIME!!! 😀
I’m reading Fear Me (it’s pretty dark and I’m at 40% and not sure if I’m “feeling” it yet…). I’m thinking I want to laugh my butt off instead so I may switch to The Virgin Romance Novelist. I hear I’ll laugh so hard that I’ll embarrass myself in public. But here are a few more that make me go hrmmmmm…. How to Say Goodbye (he lives on the streets!!), CONTRITE (her husband has a secret that she’s trying to uncover), Under the Influence (because OMG it already broke my heart on the blurb alone), Fair Game (sounds like it’s gonna be fun, because her bf loses her in a poker bet to another guy… love triangle?), CAPTURE (well the whole trilogy is complete now so I gotta gorge and marathon read it ASAP!!), Breaking Noah (she’s got a plan and it involves her professor…). *waggles eyebrows*
P.S. Let me know if I’m missing any or if you loved any (from this list or elsewhere).

Breath taking journey“
After the Rain: A Novel by Renee Carlino <— BOTH SURVIVING TRAGIC EVENTS ALERT!! <— Kandace loves THIS one: “After the Rain by Renee Carlino is on sale… I read this one and really enjoyed it. And now, I’m letting you go.
Amy: Michelle, it’s out?!? *hugs Michelle and squeals* Everything just got bumped on my TBR list ’cause I’ve been waiting for that one since I first heard about it…the blurb alone made my heart clench!!!

You should ask Sonali Dev for a recipe. An easy one for those who have never cooked Indian food before.
What are there catnip in books and who do they think writes them well?
Favorite heroines in books. And has it changed through the years?
Is there a writer or book they feel is a hidden gem and wish got more attention?
Favorite place to read?
Do they buddy read?
Hmm I kind of stink at questions.
bev I LOVE your questions!!! Is she going to be there, ’cause I’m totally gonna!!!
Lol. Thank you. Yes and her Bollywood Affair had these amazing food descriptions.
Need to get Michelle over here to think of questions for Ilona Andrews. I’m such a newbie to their world. I did hear an interview with her and she was great. Think she would be fun to talk to. Darynda Jones too.
*snicker* Do you REALLY want me to give you some questions for the authors? Do they have to be PG-rated questions? ‘Cause I could have some fun with that. 😛
Breaking Noah…ohhhhhhhh crap. That one sounds like it might get ugly. Perfect!
I’m gonna finish up my work, run to the gym and then Under the Influence is gonna own me for the rest of the day. 😀
Oh, makeup talk! Dior Air Foundation. I. Am. In. Love!!! My go-to is usually Bare Minerals liquid foundation but the Dior one is great for when I need something not as sheer as the BM one. The coverage is perfect and beautiful and light and just… *sigh* Aaaaaannnnddd my newest gem find is the MAC Prep + Prime Skin Base Visage…works wonders on days when my skin is looking particularly craptastic, LOL!!!
I would like to know how some famous authors began writing, was it a lifelong dream or a hobby that passion made perfect?
Fair Game stands out to me on this list.
I am reading Dark Lover (Black Dagger Brotherhood), it’s captivating, delicious and erotic… Loving it…
I’m going to swing by on Saturday for the monster signing event. So excited!
Shane, so many of us LOVE that series. Just wait until you get to Z’s story, book 3 I think. There’s a note. *sob* <—– Yep, that was me. 😉 He is and always will be my favorite!!!
Okay, I have a question for I guess any of the authors who write NA. With how flooded the market is with NA books, how difficult is it to come up with a story that doesn't follow the same "script" as others, and how
Oh Amy, I can tell it’s going to be one of my favorite series too… Can’t wait to read them all. The sweet anticipation of so many great books yet to read, aye…..
DANGIT!! Hit submit by accident. Let me try this again with the second half of the question…
…and how do they try and avoid plots that have become so prevalent and predictable?
This could be for an author of any genre…have they ever had an idea for a plot or even a scene that they just *loved* and were terribly excited over and then found out it appeared in another book before they had a chance to put it in their own story? How did they handle it? Did they use it anyway?
Shane, some days the sweet anticipation turns into a panic attack when I look at how many books I have purchased that are just sitting on my iPad waiting to be read…and I keep adding to them. But I wouldn’t have it any other way!! 😀
OMG Amy we are in a league of our own… My friends are venting and fighting on FB and I clueless to everything around me, because I am lost in my books. Thank God hubby knows me well (as he should it’s only been 18+ years), hehehe…
Oooh. Question time!
For any, which genre do they think is going to be the next to be “big”? (I’m thinking M/M but who knows?)
Ilona Andrews, ask they started the series knowing the father would have the approach and personality that he did? Oh, and if after all the jokes and teasing, have they thought maybe a short story for Hugh?
I have to think on others. I fell asleep after 33% of Fear You last night and one word. Eep! Now I got to get End of Days and finally read the seventh league book. I’m one behind, just because the seventh first chapter seemed to follow a predictable pattern, and I stopped right there.
Questions…hmmm I have to think about this.
I Loved Collide and the sequel Pulse!!
Finishing up Capture and then I have to decide if I’m going back to Fear Me; like you Maryse it’s good, just not keeping my attention.
Under the Influence sounds really good; After The Rain, Renee Carlino is one of my fav authors; Fair Game; Breaking Noah.
Amy, I love Dior makeup for the same reason, otherwise I love MakeUp Forever foundation and their concealer.
Have you tried Becca shimmering skin perfector? Loving the glow it gives my skin, either by spot applying or mixing with my foundation. 🙂
Zhadist!!!!! My fav of all time too!
Maryse, if you want funny, don’t forget about Pucked!!!!
I have to check out which authors are attending the event before trying to think of some questions. Maryse, is there somewhere I can get that info?
Oh and anyone who hasn’t read Collide (on sale up there), read it!!!! Sooo good!
Lana Grayson (Takeover) and Amy Rachiele (Mobster’s Bones) have new releases scheduled for the end of May. I really enjoyed Amy Rachiele’s Mobster’s series so if you are new to the series then the first book (Mobster’s Girl) is freely available on Amazon. I’m also looking forward to Skye Warren’s “Better When it Hurts” (June 4).
Alright, I’ve got to ask something to everyone here. What in the world do they mean, not your mother’s romance?
Tessa always kind of hated that saying. I think it’s to imply something edgier or better. What did you read it on?
My mom did not read romance, really. And she was a curious, smart, vibrant woman with a great sense of humor. So, you know what give me her romance, lol.
When there is talk of shocking romance I wonder if they ever read romance from the 80s lol.
Amy, If you come back on tonight, do me a favor? Please go take that quiz on the other post. Super curious as to what character you’d be.
I LOVE THESE QUESTIONS!!!!
Does anyone have a question for say… Tarryn Fisher?
Amy… my latest LOVE is Bare Minerals 5 in 1 primer eyeshadow creamy stuff thingie.
I LOVE how it goes on, I love the neutral color, I love how it allows others shadows to blend smoothly on top and I love how it holds the shadows perfect.
The nude one looks good even under my eye area. Has a very slight shimmer but just perfect to reflect light.
I LOVE that you guys are asking me to seek out specific authors for questions…
keep ’em coming. Gives me a challenge. Like an easter egg hunt!!! 😛
On this list, for some reason, the Mermen are appealing to me. And that Mimi P. wrote them is just a bonus!!! That is going on my TBR list for sure.
Luckiest Girl Alive came out today! It may not be a bargain but oh my GAWD that blurb has got me! I’m in! 🙂
…Virtuous by MS Force is a bargain. I’ve heard good things!! Got it today, again the blurb got me! Starting it tonight.
RK Lilley – What inspired her to write the Up in the Air trilogy?
Bev, it was on a Nook ad. It’s one of those phrases that makes me think they never read a romance in their life. I agree on the 80s and 70s stuff. The evil R word was the norm. Shoot, people want dark romance, pick up an old Rosemary Rogers, or the early Bertrice Small books. *disclaimer, I will not ever read a Rosemary Rogers book again!* I just keep wondering, what makes them say it?
OOH Author questions!!! We get to submit those to you?? yay. Okay, Kresley Cole:(how cool is it that she is there?): who is your favorite leading man in the IAD series, the one you yourself would swoon over? (for me it’s Bowen).
Victoria Danann: OMG! Will you ask her if she is as in love with Rammel Hawking as the rest of us are? because, seriously, she has to be! And if she is married, is her hubby jealous of Ram?? (*snicker*)
C.L Wilson: OMG times 1000X….. this is the woman who created Tairen Soul. I need a minute…. okay…. can you ask her how difficult it was to come up with the “language” in the Tairen Soul series? It was so intricate. Amazing world building.
https://www.rtconvention.com/attending-authors
Jean, hope this works.
MichelleS & Fabi if you can play some games and win prizes.
Oooh, good questions! I saw the list of authors and got overwhelmed.
Richelle Mead – Is she ever returning to her Dark Swan series to discuss the children as well as the eventual repercussion of them? That’s always been a something that seemed unfinished.
Finished Fear You and Oh boy, wonderful. Just scary, emotional, happy, sad, ugh.
Karina Halle how did she come up with Dex? When everyone on here was swooning over him I was expecting a completely different type of hero.
MichelleS & Fabi do you know what Author’s signatures you want?
More questions, because I am obsessed…
C.L. Wilson – is she considering re-visiting the world she created in Tairen Soul? I need to know what happened to the twins!! BEG HER!!! And did she cry as much as I did when she had to write the “The scene” between Adrial and Colum and Talisa??? You know… THE ONE…. I still choke up. What made her cry in this series? I have so many scenes. And where can I get some keflee?? AH GAWD…. I need to read Tairen Soul again. I can’t believe she is going to be in Dallas!!!
Bev, I think MichelleS will be stalking C.L. Wilson for a signature. All that fangirling is making me smile.
Any of them – Is there a book they wrote and published that they wished they could take back and re-write the storyline totally?
Jennifer Estep – Is she going to do more YA books? I loved the Mythos Accademy series. But make sure she doesn’t stop writing the Spider Assassin series because that would suck.
Alright, my fangirl time: Tijan! when she wrote Fallen Crest High, did she realize then that Logan, Sam, and Mason would be as adored as they are? What made her revisit Carter Reed and write a second story?
Those are all good questions but especially for me I am DYING to see if Richelle Mead will give us more Dark Swan since unlike some other series, as Tessa points out, it was totally unfinished and I adore it like crazy!! I would seriously grovel for her to write a few more books…
I will think if I have any questions especially for Ilona Andrews or Darynda Jones Bev.
I forgot about End of Days but nope I didn’t squirrel for Under the Influence either so holding strong at the moment.
I’m reading it now. I absolutely had to. Now that Fear You is done, I had to jump into it. Then, Bloodlust, then Claimed, then Spencer, then Unruly, then Full Blooded… *sighs* I need more hours in a day to read.
Yep I hear you Tessa, I wish I had more hours in the day too. I go to work and my eyes are popping out of my head as I am so tired. Hard to explain that it’s self inflicted because i just had to read the next chapter in my book or I had 10% left which couldn’t wait until tomorrow.
I just finished My time in the affair by Stylo Fantome which was brilliant after reading Ahead of the darkness/out of the darkness by Simone Nicole with the sexy Scotsman. I was picturing one of the guys at work as the lead (because of the accent) which is just wrong when u r in meetings and can’t stop laughing to yourself. Thank god no one can read minds……
Antonella, that’s funny. It sounds like a set up for one of our books.
Hehehe That could get very awkward. Funny, but awkward. *grins* Is anyone else reading End of Days yet?
Ask Tarryn what her favorite book is and why.
Okay Maryse and Cheryl, you guys just gave me an excuse to run back to the mall on Friday…I’m hitting up Bare Minerals, Sephora and MAC!!! I am a die hard UD Eyeshadow Primer Potion fan, but I’m going to give that BM one a try. And that Becca shimmering stuff…maybe it will deflect the gloriousness that my aging skin has become. *snort* Good lord, I’m going to need a bigger makeup case…more shopping!! 😀
Bev! I was going to try that out when you posted it but I got sidetracked…I’ll let you know what it says about me. Kinda scary thought. 😉
Ladies, how is Under the Influence going? I think last day of sale and trying to be a tiny bit more picky with one clicks. Yes even .99 one’s.
Tessa is that the Susan Ee one? I still need to read the second book.
Tessa, I pre-ordered End of Days. But I’m reading another pre-order, Born of Defiance first. So EoD will be next.
Ilona Andrews how did they come up with the character Dali?
For Darynda Jones all I can think about is that she based part of Charley off of Lorelai Gilmore. So I’d probably start talking about Gilmore Girls, lol.
Bev I am starting Under the Influence today. I was going to start reading yesterday but got distracted watching The Royals lol. I am liking that show although I don’t think the monarchy acts like that, but what would I know lol
I love MAC! Their Mineralized Skinfinish Natural is everything! I love their lipsticks, blushes and eye shadows too. For foundation I really like the Revlon Colorstay or the Rimmel Lasting Finish. I am looking for a good primer though. Oh and if you are looking for a great finishing powder you guys should totally check out the Nars Translucent Crystal Powder. That powder blurs every imperfection! Its like Photoshop for your face! Love it 🙂
Bev I love Gilmore Girls! Just the other day I was thinking of watching the entire series again 🙂
I have a question for Tarryn Fisher, kinda long-winded but here it is…
Her characters tend to go through so much in her stories, with Senna being the most tragic character of all and even Olivia facing a particularly heartbreaking issue at the end of Thief after all that happened throughout the series. Does she know ahead of time what will happen to the characters or is it more that the events unfold as she writes and she feels she has to let the bad sh!t happen to them, as I’ve heard other authors say how they write. And how does it affect her when her characters suffer that way after she has grown and nurtured them?
Oh, and I would never want her stories to unfold or end any other way…the fact that there is no guarantee of a traditional HEA in her books is what I love the most about them!
I can not e end count how many times I’ve watched, lol. Stars Hallow would definitely be a fictional place I’d love to visit. Maybe this is how Charley got her need for coffee.
Ok, silly question. Darynda Jones. If she got one day in Stars Hallow what would she do?
Cheryl, thank you so much for mentioning Collide and Pulse, I have been meaning to read those two and forgot all about them, until I read your comment. The cover for Collide, alone makes me *squee*… One click, happy hump day to me! But why is Pulse so expensive?!?!
Love the makeup talk. I actually am a big fan of Bare Minerals.
And that should be Stars Hollow.
Not sure why my device inserted a random e and the word end, lol.
*squeals and happy claps* Thank you Anne! I just added the Nars powder to my shopping list for Friday! A good primer is Tarte Clean Slate poreless 12-hour perfecting primer…I *love* it. Also MAC Prep+Prime Fortified Skin Enhancer works beautifully and has SPF in it as well. Both of those are staples for me along with MAC Prep+Prime Skin (among others). You really don’t want to know how long my makeup routine is. *giggle*
Shane…makeup, books, nail polish, martinis, cocktails. These ladies are awesome here!! 😀
Bev, here’s mine…
You got: Lydia Bennet
You are better humored than anyone else in your family, or indeed most people you know. You love to love and to be loved, and no infatuation is too small or too frivolous to fail to sweep you off your feet. There are those who might say that you are very silly indeed.
LOL!!!!!!!!!
Awww Amy, that sounds so you.
I got curious after that and did mine. Didn’t several of you get this same one?
You got: Jane Bennet
You are good and true and greathearted. Dear, dear Jane, you are too good. You deserve the best in life and — through toil and hardship — you will get it, because you always find the best in everyone.
Inevitable Circumstances by S.R. Grey released yesterday. And Inevitable Detour (book 1) is on sale for 99 cents.
Finished End of Days. I cried three times! (small tear up thing, not bawling) Twice because of sadness totally unexpected. I honestly didn’t expect to feel sad, but did. The third was happiness. Such a good book and good end. It made me all types of happy.
Not sure if I want Bloodlust next or what. Right now, I’m just in a happy fog.
Fabi, are you an introvert in real life too? Bev and I are, thus why I asked.
How sweet and fitting is that for you, Fabi? 😉
Tessa, remind me…what P&P character did you get? And I’m glad that y’all aren’t introverts on here. 😀
Abby, I looked up the blurb for the first book and it sounds good…thanks for the heads up!
Hi Maryse,
If anyone is into M/M, some of the best ones out recently are $1.00 on Amazon right now. Hot Head, Bear, Otter and the Kid, Faith and Fidelity, A Matter of Time….
BTW Beneath the Stain was one of the best books ever. I’m huge Amy Lane fan….
Amy thanks for the suggestions! I’ll make sure to check those primers out 🙂 I love makeup too! Its up there with books lol
I remember I got Mr.Bingley on that test! So we don’t have an Elizabeth yet?
Shane I remember reading Collide when it first came out and liking it but haven’t read Pulse yet. If you do read it let us know what you think 🙂
I loved Collide and Pulse! Favs of mine!
I’m still in my own little world with Jameson Kane…..sigh…..
Jean I keep reading about this Kane guy lol. What’s the name of the book?
Oh Tessa I finished Fear You yesterday and really liked both books. They are pretty dark and Keiran’s past was very disturbing. Now I can’t wait for Fear Us! I love Keenan!
Amy, we have a Lydia. She also ran off with Wickham (man in uniform) at a very young age.
Fabi, yes Tessa & I. And Anne’s our Bingley.
No Elizabeth yet.
Anne, Degradation (Book #1 of The Kane Trilogy by Stylo Fantome…..although there’s 4 books)! Degradation, Separation, Reparation, and Completion.
I missed the link regarding P&P characters and feeling left out. Who am I? Lol!
Jean the last post we were on. Please try it, Cheryl too. Maybe your are Elizabeth. I thought Amy might of been.
Michelle was Darcy.
You guys, aye!! Of course I had to one click Degradation.
Where is the link ladies? I want to know who I am!
I sure will Anne. Currently reading: Tool A Step Brother Romance. I have a thing for forbidden romances (sshh don’t tell).
I think I am between an introvert and an extrovert. I know need a chair and a few hours with a shrink :-)))
Lol Shane!! I have Tool! Let me know how you like it. Did you read Prick first?
OK, gotta go find that link….
Anne, weren’t they insane? Also, the angst didn’t go away knowing Keiran’s POV. That’s so rare. I wish they all just either kept the angst from the female POV, or up the angst from the male POV.
Amy, ironic considering how I am on a blog, that I’m an introvert. Meet me in real life and I have to get past my frozen moment to speak. I’ve just gotten really good at faking the first awkward “Hi” and trying to pretend to care about small talk. 😛
Hmmm… not so sure I agree….
You got: Wickham Your appearance is greatly in your favor. You have all the best part of beauty, a fine countenance, a good figure, and very pleasing address. Your readiness of conversation is at the same time perfectly correct and unassuming. You are not to be trusted.
You got: Mr. Darcy
You are a fine figure and you are looked upon with great admiration, but your manners and your rough bearing give a disgust that turn the tide of your popularity. In short, you are proud, and you consider yourself to be above company.
It’s not that I am above company, it’s that they are cutting into my reading time, lol
Ha Bev! I probably got Lydia because for the question about my reaction to the “beautiful and magnificent soldiers” moving into the neighborhood, my answer was “I want them all for my own”…and at the ball I answered I would be mingling with all the hotties!!
The best part about your description of Lydia? My hubby wears a uniform and we were married when we were *barely* 19 years old!!! 😛
Tessa, in the dictionary under introvert it says: Fabi, Tessa & Bev 🙂
I’m a great faker though. People who don’t know me don’t realize I need a lot of quiet alone time.
I can’t wait to read EoD!!!! So excited after that feedback.
Kate, thanks for the heads up. That’s quickly becoming one of my favorite sub-genres. I’ll have to go look them up later tonight.
Just you wait Jean…you’re gonna REALLY fall for Jameson in the second book. 😉 And if you don’t then I’ll have another crow cocktail (’cause eating crow is just…no) like I did when Maryse didn’t cry over Fisher’s Light!
Kate, Fabi just read Under the Stain and was put through the wringer. 😉
Ooooooooh Shane, if you have a thing for forbidden romances then you need to read Forbidden. Tear your heart out, it will. Aaaaand now I have a lump in my throat again…
All of you introverts…if I ever meet you in person, I’m gonna figure out a way to yank y’all out of your shells!! All done with love, of course. 😉 Starting with making MichelleS order a sex-named drink. *snicker*
omg, I’ll be hiding in the ladies room while MichelleS orders that drink. hahaha
Oh and yeah, after I finished Beneath the Stain I read several reviews (which I don’t read ahead of time) saying Amy Lane is a queen of angst. In this case, I wish I’d I’d known. But…I’d call it more sad or again, gut wrenching, rather than angsty. It left me feeling melancholy. I went straight to a pnr book. lol I do, however, have several favorite mm love stories that have become favorites.
Oh! I’ll make her order a Long Sloe Comfortable Screw Against the Wall…it really IS a drink!! 😛
Amy! If I asked for that and got a “drink” I’d be pissed!
Haha Amy and Fabi! Is that really a drink?
I just looked it up and it sounds yummy, though I’m allergic to oranges. :/ If I’m going to order a drink with a name like that, it’s going to be a screaming orgasm with decent vodka. Those sound extra yummy. I think I need to buy some Baileys now.
Oh, Amy, READ COLLIDE!
Maryse……I just wanted to give a shout out about two of my favorite books in 2015…. I call them my hidden gems since hardly anyone knows about them….the 1st one is Dare to kiss by S B Alexander……for all of your Tijan fans..this is very simular to her style and I assume that’s because the author said Tijan was one of her favorite authors….also if you like badass heroines this one’s for you!! The next one is Call Sign Karma…and if you liked Top gun you will love this book….except the heroine is the student in this one:)…..there’s lots of action and romance and its is another great read for those fans of badass heroines…both 5* reads for me
Jean thank you! Adding them to my TBR pile 😀
Tessa they were insane! I had to stop several times during Fear You cause some things were so horrible! Poor Keiran! Oh and I loved that we knew what he was thinking which to be honest made things scarier lol. Also I couldn’t believe they were 18 years old! 0_0
Lol Amy! I’ve never heard about that drink! Sounds amazing!
Deborah thanks for the recs! I haven’t heard about them but going to check them out 🙂
Amy – I am never going to live that down, am I? No. I will NEVER order a sex-themed drink from a male bartender. Now, maybe if it’s a woman I could go through with it. I blush in 2 seconds flat, so it would be totally obvious that I was embarrassed.
Well, dang. I got her????? I’m a fuddie duddie? Super.
You got: Lady Catherine de Bourgh
You are a very sensible, respectable person indeed. Your condescension is met with gratitude by those of a lower station and your patronage is widely sought by those who seek patronage above friendship or warmth. You are gratified by excessive admiration.
I bet if I ordered sex-themed drinks I wouldn’t be Catherine de Bourgh! That’s it. I am going to order an Apple Pucker Mother @#cker followed by a Banging the Captian 3 Ways on the Comforter, then maybe a Creamy Sex on the Beach (because I guess adding cream makes everything better). Maybe I’ll even do it at RT!!!! How about that, Catherine de Bourgh!
ROTFLMAO MichelleS you are too too too funny.
I’M dying laughing at BOTH of you!!!! MichelleS is gonna get her freaky-drinky on, and Fabi is gonna jump the bartender!! LOL!!!!
And yep Jean, it is a drink…but MichelleS just topped it with her drinks!!
Okay, moving Collide to my “must read now” list.
Hmmm, if its Tate from Try, I’ll settle for “against the bar”.
LMAO MichelleS that was too funny!! And yes cream does make everything better hahaha
I haven’t read Try but I keep hearing about Tate! I think I need to read those books soon 😉
Haha you guys are too funny!!!
That was awesome MichelleS! Lol.
Jean your Amy’s Wickham! I’m thinking it’s always the quiet ones.
One thing to remember not very scientific. You know picking pictures of cats and Colin Firth. I totally picked the fat gray cat in the little hat and one of the ones when Firth is in glasses. And not dancing with the hotties but reading a book.
Fabi, you should check out Strawberries for Dessert.
Haha Bev, I’m such an introvert that not only did I not dance with the hotties, I didn’t stay home to read a book either. If there’s that big a party going on nearby I’m heading out of town, so I left for the country. Lol
Is that a book?
Lol, yes a book.
You got: Lydia Bennet, huh, what does that say that Amy and I got the same one!! 😉
Anne that Nars translucent powder sounds great, going to try it. For primer I like Dior Capture Totale.
Shane you’re welcome.;)
Anne, there’s a book 3 after Fear You?! 🙁
Cheryl yes but its not about Keiran and Lake. Its about Keenan and Sheldon and comes out in the Fall 🙂
Book three is a totally different character. Book two finishes Keinan and Lake’s story.
erg I meant Keiran, Keiran and Lake’s story is finished.
Oh and the Nars powder is amazing! I use the loose version though. I like it a little bit better than the pressed one.
Tessa didn’t you feel some things were left unanswered in Fear You? (Mitch for example?)
Deborah thanks for book recs…Dare to Kiss looks good!
And Kate I picked up a couple M/M yeaterday for a $1 as well that had been on my Amazon wish list Promises by Mary Sexton and Shades of Gray by Brooke McKinley and while I was searching around discovered a HAWT series by Kora Knight called Upending Tad bundle the series are 5 novellas of a GFY theme…the bundle is the first 3 novellas foe $4.99 and they are scorching….highly recommend for M/M enthusiasts!
Anne, Definitely, but then again, the next story is Keenan’s story. I’m sure that’s going to play a HUGE part in it. However, as far as CH and story complete, Keiran and Lake are done. It’s now Keenan’s turn, and that boy has some major kissing up or something to do with Sheldon. Oh and Willow and Dean aren’t resolved.
Thanks Anne and Tessa for clearing that up….I’m reading Fear you and don’t know if I could of handled another cliffhanger…..but on another note ….sooo excited that this series is continuing….I just absolutely love her writing style….it cracks me up at the same time it frightens me….very odd combination….don’t know if y’all understand ( or if even I understand )what I’m talking about
Tessa you are right! I can’t wait for Keenan and Sheldon’s story and see how those two fix their relationship. I read Willow and Dash’s book will be a standalone though. I can’t wait to read their story! I was kinda sorry for Dash.
I am 36% in Under the Influence and so far it’s great! I really like Dalton and Spencer together. You can tell they really love each other *swoon*
Deborah I know what you mean! It’s pretty dark but it had some “light” moments too were I would laugh a little. Still its pretty intense! I love her writing too and so excited to read the next books in the series.
“I want to inhale him. To taste him on my tongue. To feel him course through my bloodstream. To consume every bit of his essence. Only then do I think my craving for him would be satisfied.”
I always feel like I’m the only one. But……I didn’t enjoy Collide. I never went on to read Pulse. There is one scene I remember when I really thought they were being unkind to one of the hero’s “friend”.
Just starting a new book. I really like the cover. I think YA has such fun covers.
“I’ve been collecting bugs since I was ten; it’s the only way I can stop their whispers.”
~ Splintered by A.G. Howard
I get it bev, but I did go onto read Pulse and loved it!
Is that your first line for “first line Thursday”? I love it!!!!!
That’s creepy Bev. *shiver*
See, not everyone likes everything. 🙂 I can see someone having issues with Collide, Bev.
Anne, I did laugh. That’s what helps make the book awesome. Scary, freaky, intimidating, then laughter. I adore Keenan and Willow. Most of the humor came from them.
Ooooh, first line Thursday! Yeah!
“Man, it’s been a long morning.”
Spencer by Kerry Heavens
I promise, again, the book is better than that sentence. It’s actually very funny. Next Thursday I’m finding a book and reading it based on it’s first sentence.
Oh, and that sentence made me throw that book onto my wish list, Bev. It sounds perfectly disturbing.
Ha Fabi! You think creepy and I loved it!
Awww Tessa…. that first line….yeah I’m laughing right now. Although it’s been a long morning for me too! Lol!
Oh question for Helena Harper. Is she going to revisit the Blood Destiny books for any secondary characters? I finally finished the series and I swear, one death made me tear up. Another unexpected sadness, considering the character, but by the end, I adored him.
Jean, my Thursdays are just cursed with crappy first lines. How can I promote these when they sound so dull? *grins* The twitter feeds in the book alone have me laughing out loud.
Tessa that’s funny. I have to admit I was deciding on what library book to stick in my bag yesterday and then opened this one. Had to share, lol.
Yay! First line Thursday!!
“I am not a good person.” ~ Under the Influence by L.B. Simmons
…which is just not grabbing me like I was hoping it would. Dual POV soooo…yeah. That. *sigh* I need a crazy angst smackdown right now…will Collide give that to me? Wait, the Driven series is supposed to be angsty too…or maybe I should jump on the Fear Me boat with y’all? *snort* Yep, it’s one of those days! 😉
I just watched a little interview from RT that a blog did with Althea Romig. She had meant for that first book to be a standalone. I didn’t finish but find that interesting.
Amy, it wasn’t for me. But it did invoke feelings. I think Collide might be what you are looking for.
Lol, even thinking about it is aggravating me.
Curious as to what you think about the scene with the “friend”‘
I’m not sure why that scene bugs me so much. Enough that I remember it, lol. Grr.
Amy. Collide and Fear Me are both angsty. Honestly, I loved the Driven series, but I would not call it angsty. It had angst, but nothing compared to the other two.
Bev, I started Collide twice. The first time, something about it didn’t click with me. When I went back to it I enjoyed it then.
Amy, Collide and Pulse are angsty and have that love triangle going for it. I thought the Driven series had a lot of angst. Started but haven’t finished Fear Me- would say not angst but more obviously fear with mind games.
First line:Three whole years. I’d had a boyfriend for three whole years, and I still had more orgasms when I was by myself. Yeh, I know it’s two lines, but so much better with line two!! 😉 Falling Away by Penelope Douglas. Trying to finish this book and then Aflame.
Just finished Under the Influence and liked it. Wished some parts were done better but I did enjoy the love story. Overall I give it a 3.75/5
I think my next book is finally going to be Tears of Tess 🙂
I haven’t read the Driven series yet either….. but my niece keeps bugging me to….
First line Thursday: “People often thought “Sanders” was Sanders’ last name; it wasn’t – his last name was Dashkevich.” Separation (Book #2 of Kane Trilogy).
Not a very exciting first line but after Degradation and absolutely loving Sanders, it works for me!!! I seriously loved the first book!
Anne, thanks for the feedback on Under the Influence! I think you will love Tears for Tess!!!
Cheryl, love you first “two” lines! Haha!
Hey, I just downloaded a book called Possess by J.A. Howell. The blurb intrigued me and it was free! Just sharing…..
Amy, I can’t read Forbidden, it sounds too gut wrenching for me and I really love HE. I know, I am just one big scary cat!
I am reading Collide and I am liking it. I think Gavin is the perfect hero so far. Dillon is everything Liv calls him.
MichelleS, wow those drink names tho…
Tessa, I checked out Spencer and you know I had to have it…
Shane, I haven’t had the guts to read Forbidden either!
I loved Gavin…..all this talk about Collide is making me want to reread it!!!!!
It is so curious to me how Thursdays are quiet days. Now I’m curious as to what we all do.
Now I think I have some insight.
Our Lydias are out buying ribbons and flirting at the closest military base.
Our Wickham is off seducing young ladies/lads. *has Tessa raise one eyebrow at Jean*
US Janes are being industrious. Maybe helping mama/boss.
First line Thursday!
“Three little words” Tears of Tess-Pepper Winters
And me Mr. Bingley is busy thinking about Jane lol
Blahahaha, bev you are hysterical!
I do remember loving Gavin but only liking Collide. Maybe I should re-read it soon!
Anne, I remember what those “Three little words” were too….. Eeeek!
Jean I know! I am really getting into the story 🙂
*raises an eyebrow at Jean* There you go Bev! Hehehe too funny.
Anne, Tears for Tess was so good. I’m glad you’re trying it!
Alright, Spencer. It was exactly what I was looking for. Funny, that “I hate you” romance, steamy, great secondary, and it’s a standalone! *grins* Also, I want the secondary character’s book now.
Alright, all these in my tbr, and I got a new book instead. Stupid Girl by Cindy Miles. First sentence curse continues! “Wake up!” Yep, that’s it. grr
Oh, but that little epilogue of less than three pages? Hits you in the feels, big time.
I am really liking Tears of Tess. Is it wrong that I am kinda attracted to Q?
Nope. Q is hot.
Tessa he’s so hot! And that French accent. Oui, oui lol
Nothing wrong that all with that Anne! Love Q!
Tessa, your first line… I’m dying here! Lol!
LOL Bev!!!!! That was awesome!!
OMG you guys are cracking me up!! I missed so much fun today. Boo for me. I apologize in advance if I end up with multiple posts but I luffs all of you and there is so much I’m dying to respond to!
We luffs you too. Big yeah! Better When He’s Bold by Jay Crownover is reduced to $1.99 right now.
Oh, Tessa. One day you’ll hit on the best one yet.
Yes, luffs.
Speaking of accents I haven’t heard a Scottish one lately?
Jean did I miss an R rated line from you today? Lol.
Tessa and Cheryl, thanks so much both of you for your input on Collide and the Driven series! I’m gonna go with Collide next ’cause ANGST! 😀 And Bev, I’ll let you know when I get to that scene…now I’m really curious what that is all about.
Jean! I love Sanders!! We get to know him so much more in Separation and ohhhhh is he wonderful…the perfect balance to Jameson. 😉
And yay Anne for Tears of Tess! Nothin’ wrong with being attracted to Q. Nuh-uh. Nothing at all. He is all kinds of hotness. In Quintessentially Q…oh lord. *fans self*
Jean and Shane…I didn’t mean to scare you off from Forbidden! You guys hafta read it. You hafta, hafta, hafta!!! Seriously, it will tear your heart out but in the way we LOVE around here.
*snuggles up next to Jean and Shane*
Come on ladies, you know you wanna. 😉 Don’t make me start petting your hair, Jean. 😛
*snicker* Tessa’s first lines…
Just finished Tears of Tess and really liked it! Although I have to admit some scenes were a little too extreme for me so I don’t know if I’ll read the next books. Q was great though and I was hooked to the story. But it was a little too much for me 🙂
I need something lighter lol Don’t know what to read next.
Amy, I can’t read Forbidden because I saw a spoiler and know how it ends! Hate when that happens!
Is there anyone else here who will still read a book if spoiled? I usually have no problem with it. Especially in romance with a hea.
I normally would still read it bev, but not Forbidden with the spoiler I saw.
Eeep. Sorry, no Forbidden for me. Too many triggers with that one.
Bev, it depends on the type of book. The writing has to be extra great to get past that.
Anne, Q is hot, though I can see what you mean on extreme scenes. There were a lot of those. Spencer was a lighter book, with a very fiesty heroine and a fun alpha male, with a bunch of arguing and twitter feeds. *grins*
Amy, tell us what you think of Collide when you’re done. *grins* If nothing else, the first book is insane. Also, yeah, watch. Next book I read today will have an awesome first line because it’s NOT Thursday.
Tessa whatever it is you’ll have to share it now.
Listening to DBSA podcast. A group of their bloggers talking about RT. Saying how safe they feel there. One about other conventions are majority men sometimes and how always on alert if go to the parties. Doesn’t feel like that here. I think that is cool. One shared that at one RT a lady in the lobby was totally plastered and going to the elevators with a man. Two of the RT ladies had security stop them before they got on tomake sure he should be with her. I love hearing things like that about women.
Tessa Q is hot but a little too much for me to handle lol Also Spencer is from what book? I am lost lol
Tessa just found the book! Its Spencer by Kerry Heavens right? Just read the blurb and it sounds like fun! Love the social media aspect of it 😀 I think I’ll read that one next! Thanks for the rec 😀
I had Spencer on my radar too. Yeaaa
I checked out Spencer last night too after seeing Tessa’s comments! Looks so good and different!
Yep, that one. I needed that light and fun type, and it delivered. And honestly, you’ll adore the secondary characters, especially Mags. She’s awesome.
Still reading Stupid Girl because… life. 🙂 Honestly though, after the beginning it slowed down and is getting kind of boring. Ah well.
I hate when there is a book I want to check. See if sale or what not. And of promptly forget what book. Sigh.
And just because I’m going to be a pest until some one says yes to buddy read. Seriously no pride. I’m posting link. Do not look up 2nd book cause it has blurb.
https://www.amazon.com/Asking-Lilah-Pace-ebook/dp/B00OQS4CRO/ref=sr_1_7?s=digital-text&ie=UTF8&qid=1431720907&sr=1-7&keywords=asking+for+it
*jaw drops* That looks good. Seriously good. Alright, pre-ordered!
Whoot! Yay Tessa!
Loving Spencer! The tweets are so funny! This book is just what I needed! Thanks Tessa *big kiss*
I guess Darynda Jones, Kresley Cole, Charlaine Harris, Gena Showalter were all on a panel together. Something like that just sounds so fun to me.
That sounds insane! I’d be hard pressed to whom I’d want to talk to.
*kisses back* You’re welcome! I wish I could find who asked if it was good, because the answer is, it is. *grins*
Found out who! To Niki, yes, it’s good.
Ha!! Thanks Tessa for the info!!! It’s definitely on my tbr…although I’m rereading Kate Daniels right now because I needed a little Curran and Kate in my life:)
Fabi & MichelleS if you go out to the convention I hope you all have a great time.
Remember MichelleS breathe if you see CL Wilson.;-)
Maryse, are there puppies there?
Niki I have to get back to that series. Not sure why I squirreled.
Unsquirrel yourself Bev. It’s one of my all time favorite series. That way, when the next one comes out, I can beg you to read that one too. *grins*
Just finished Spencer and really liked it! It was a fun, sexy read. Just what I needed!
What are you guys reading now? I think I am going to start Rush by Gina Gordon.
I feel like whispering because it is so very very quiet on here.
Tessa, I’ll work on that.:-)
Tonight I think I’m going to try The Viper by Kele Moon. Little bit of a splurge for me
but have had my eye on it. Another I really want to try is The Closer you Come by Showalter. But again $.
Just so you know I typed that very quietly. And did not laugh out loud once.
hahaha It is quiet. Romantic Times seems to make a very quiet area. It doesn’t help that this post is now on page two. *grins*
I’m reading Hyde and Seek. The premise was too cute to resist. *starts banging pans just… because*
Shhhh, Tessa. Shhhhhh.
https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&ei=mhNYVeXpJpKDyQT0k4HABQ&url=https://m.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DBF9TjbdJyUE&ved=0CCAQyCkwAA&usg=AFQjCNEZVMaR3eVCvY29B-mytJxoof_VYA
That’s the one that has some KA comparisons, I think. Curious to what you’ll think.
Hahahaha The song is appropriate. I’m still at the beginning due to life, but will tell you when I really get into it. You know, past chapter two. 😛
Finished Red Moon by Elizabeth Kelly. The story potential was there, but it seemed like the author should have added character depth. The people were too two dimensional.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XpzggAVxLME My response, lady! I was going to choose the Will I Am version, but it has baaaaaad worrrrrds! 😛
HaHa you guys are funny:) Bev, I really love the Kate Daniels series so much!! You need to get back into it!!! Let me know how you like The Viper… I was curious about it and the other battered hearts one!!
Tessa we must like very similar books because on my kindle carousel is Kate Daniels and then Hyde and Seek and then Spencer;) Let me know when you get past the second chapter…I enjoyed the sample!!
So far, I’m on chapter 3 and am giggling like mad. I also must be very tired, because before, I was still on chapter one and didn’t realize it. Off to sleepy land for me.
Tessa, John Lennon’s voice is perfection. So no other needed.
I’m having a hard time settling on any book. Splintered is ok but I think it is going to be a big teenage triangle. Over three books. I may finish this book but not sure because doubt I’ll read the other two.
Started Viper but not sure what I want for today.
May do a re read of Where Dreams Begin.
*shrug* I don’t know and probably not a decision to make before coffee.
Coffee’s done. What did you pick?
Good morning! Hope you guys are having a great Sunday!
I started Rush last night and really liking it so far 🙂
I need to check out Hyde and Seek. The name alone intrigues me.
Heh, Tessa that’s funny. I was completely lazy and just starting mine. I did a favorite bits re read of Where Dreams Begin. That was fun.
I decided my next is The Sky is Every Where by Jandy Nelson. Cover to Cover. That’s it, lol. Only problem rest of day and evening is not going to be as lazy, so not sure how far I’ll get.
Anne, I think you may be up in Michelle & Tessa’s speed.
*grins* Hyde and Seek is seriously good. It has that right feels that I adore. I don’t know if it’s KA type, since I haven’t read that many by her so far. However, it has that humor, bossy alpha, and tons of sweet.
Bev, speed reading is not always a good thing. That whole savor thing… nope. Can’t. The best books are done before you realize it. Before Michelle started posting freebies, omg, the conundrum of the new book was huge! I can’t afford a new book a day! EEP!
Bev, a western book that was very different. Have you read Julie Garwood’s For the Roses?
I just finished reading After The Rain. I have loved what Renee Carlino has written previously, but I had a hard time clicking with this one. Her writing style usually is smoother and so well-written. This one feels choppy and almost “amatuerish” in it’s writing. The story was good, but it just doesn’t have the feel to it like her previous books. 🙁
Now I’m not sure what to read next….guess I should finish Fear Me and Fear You, but just not getting into it… ugh
Tessa, I did. Read the whole series years ago. Then they made a tv movie of it and I was so excited……until I watched it, lol.
They also did a tv movie of The Outsider with a young Naomi Watts and again, nope.
Aww Cheryl. Don’t read Fear Me if you aren’t in the mood for that type. It’s definitely a type. I can hightly recommend Hyde and Seek at this point though. Sweet, funny, with a total bossy alpha. 🙂
I saw the back of a dvd on what the tv show For the Roses was about… nope. Just so off and wrong, nope. I’m still trying on thinking of western romances though!
I recently added two new to me to my library. Just need to read them. Definitely if you think of any let me know. It’s a setting I enjoy.
You know, Tessa. Looking around at how quiet it is again I’m worried. I figure that they may have an outside life from this blog and books. =-O Or more likely its happened. They have come. The zombies.
1. We need to charge up our ereaders.
2. We find a Daryl Dixon.
This is as far as my apocalypse planning goes.
*Deep Breath*
I’ll keep checking in.
Bev, bwahahahahaha!!!!
Hahahaha! Bev!
Had to work this weekend. Still at it. 🙁
Started End of Days late last night but fell asleep holding my iPad.
Who is Daryl Dixon?
Tessa, Fabi and Cheryl have been found and in good health and humor. I worry Fabi may be in shock as she has no memory of Daryl Dixon.
Over and out.
Ha! You’re making me want to read an apocolypse story. Oh well, End of Days is close enough I guess.
Haha Bev. The thing is I am single and read all night long so I guess that helps? But I promise I do sleep lol
Okay guys so Rush is amazing! Max is so sexy and sweet at the same time! Love him!
Tessa I am reading Hyde and Seek after I finish with Rush 🙂 It’s the type of book I enjoy.
Bev, she might be one of the few who’s never watched The Walking Dead. I’m more inclined to believe that the zombies at that part of her brain. Also, she didn’t think that End of Days was an apocalypse story. Definitely brain eat-age. Though, there are many still missing. I haven’t seen a Michelle type in forever, nor an Amy and Jean. They might have been eaten.
Cheryl seems sane… so far. *gets out binoculars* I’m keeping a watch.
https://www.google.com/search?hl=en&redir_esc=&client=ms-android-americamovil-us&source=android-launcher-search&v=141400000&qsubts=1431914734861&q=daryl+dixon&gws_rd=ssl
Fabi, if you see this man stay with him.
Anne duck! Zombies! Also, definitely read it. It’s a good last book before we all get eaten.
Ewww no way will I stay with him. You should have seen my ex, and I didn’t stay with him. Ha!
Yeah yeah EoD is apocolypse but I tend to think of it as an angel story like a few other YAs I’ve read.
Oh and Tessa, “sane” is relative. Put down those binoculars girl. *snicker* luffs ya
Tessa, keep a look out but I’m afraid they are…….no I can’t say it.
I imagine at at RT they thought it was cos play. By the time they realized it was real it was too late.
I have hope for Amy, she has stilletos and is married to Rambo.
Remember if you see Brad Pitt, run ladies and run fast. For if the zombies come he is the only one who will be left alive.
Must keep binoculars! There are ZOMBIES! They are after BRAINS! Also, you don’t ever kiss that dude, just stay near him.
Sanity is overrated anyway.
Amy is probably safe… maybe. Unless… the zombies distracted her with a pretty arc of a standalone. Then, I’m afraid she’s probably a goner.
Well, in that case, I’m keeping her ratings.
Earings not ratings. Ugh…what is wrong with these auto corrects?
If the cover had glitter I fear you maybe right.
After reading Fabi’s ramblings of the apocalypse being a time of angels and that Daryl is “ewww” I most sadly concur about her brain eatage.
Fabi is a zombie.
I became slightly hysterical and had a laughing fit at her incoherent words but am know in control of myself.
The bright light of a new book rec has cheered me Tessa. Hopefully a sign for a brighter tomorrow.
Stay safe my friends.
Laura and Lauren are missing too. Fabi must have tricked them into running into a Zombie mob. Something like, Free New Colleen Hoover! Zombies are known for being sneaky like that. Good thing I got Better When He’s Bold. It’ll console me while I await the end.
*love the reference, Bev*
We have probably scared them away forever, lol.
I have to just say your binoculars and Fabi’s reaction to Daryl crack me up.
I’m telling you Fabi you would love him if you watched the show. As Amy would say if you don’t .il eat crow. Or something like that. Seriously Norman Reedus has crazy fan clubs because of this role. It is really a wonderful character arc.
Hey I’m alive and well! You guys are too funny! Loved just reading all your comments! Been away this weekend.
I finished the Kane series over the weekend. Read all 4 books one after the other. Been a while since I’ve done that! I loved the series and writing style!
Yeah, another person who read Kane! Even better, consumed it.
Bev, we probably did. Either that or they are looking at it going, the introverts are the ones you have to watch out for. *shifty eyes*
Luffs ya too Fabi! *grins* And I’ll just take Amy’s Nail Polish collection, k?
Lol you guys crack me up!! And don’t shoot me but I haven’t seen Walking Dead either *hides*
Just finished Rush and liked it! I think the last 15% was a bit rushed but overall it’s great read. Its a 4/5 for me.
Now starting Hyde and Seek before the zombies come and eat me *runs for protection* lol
Nooo Tessa I want Amy’s nail polish collection and makeup!
You can have the rest of her make up. I get the nail polish.
Jean!!! You made it!
With the 5 of us we will rebuild.
I wonder what Maryse will think of the apocolypse we’ve had here while she was away?
Haha fabi! You guys really make me want to read a dystopian book now! Any suggestions? I really haven’t read many that I can even think of… does Maryse have a list? I gotta go check.
Or maybe Spencer… Sounds like fun. I am still dreaming of Jameson Kane!!!
BRAINS!!!!! *pounces on Bev*
Wait, where did all my makeup and polish and earrings go??? You GUYYYYYYS!!! I’m not a zombie yet, but I’m gonna look like one if I don’t have my makeup and polish!!!!
I seriously love you guys…y’all are freaking hilarious. 😉
Ahhhh there she is! We never would have survived the apocalypse without Amy!!!!
Jean, how about trying Until the End of the World? It reads fast and is a bit “lighter” (at least it was for me) but the second book packed a mother of a whollop…right Michelle? Come on, read it!! Especially since you can’t read Forbidden…boo for spoilers. 🙁
Daryl Dixon! All you have to see is his platonic love for Beth and Carol and you’ll fall for him. I’ve probably posted this before but hey…it’s Daryl. 😉
Gah! I’ve loved him since he was in Boondock Saints!!
That’s right, Jean! I’ll protect y’all with my stilettos and my hubby’s yarborough knife…then we’ll loot a liquor store and Sephora!! 😀
Oh I have that book Amy……I think I was supposed to read it when you did but got distracted. Didn’t the second one piss you off?
You can’t blame me for avoiding Forbidden when I saw the huge spoiler for it. Right?
*looks up from doing her nails* Nope! Mine!
I’ve only read the first Until the End of the World. I’m kinda chicken about reading number two currently. Also, I’m on a happy trip. Spencer, the Hyde and Seek. Pure happy alpha fun.
So, at least with Amy here we can get a Rambo to protect us? Stiletto’s won’t do for zombies. Though, Sephora and liquor… add a Barnes and Nobles and a Starbucks, and I’m in. I might even share your nail polish with you. 😛
Now that the apocalypse is in full swing, time to choose a new book to read. Mermen or When He Was Bold?
*whining* But Tessssaaaa…I’m gonna feel nekkid if my nails aren’t polished! Wait, Starbucks too?? And B&N?!? NOW it’s an apocalyptic party!!! And since you read the first UTEOTW book, now you *have* to read the second ’cause it’s even better!
Oh no, no, no Jean…I actually liked the second one even more than the first! It didn’t p!ss me off, it just did a combo gut-heart punch to me in the wonderful way that we love around here. Kinda like when you watch a series and can’t believe they went *there* but you still love it and still watch it, ya know? As for Forbidden, that’s not a book that will be the same if you already know what is going to happen so…yeah, I feel ya on that one.
Haha you guys I can’t read your comments at work since I was laughing uncontrollably. Not a zombie but I feel like one with how many hours I put in last week! I would take Daryl or Rick…I cannot even fathom a world without my ereader though…that scares me more than zombies!
Jean, I was just going to say Until the End of the World would be a good one. Amy got me to read the series and it was great although yes the second book is sooooo sad…I still get choked up 🙁
*giggle* This is all I could think of when I saw Mermen up there in the list…

Oh! Jean, another great post-apocalyptic/UF series is the Holy Trinity series by Madeline Sheehan. OMG!!! LOVED it (even though, as with the UTEOTW series, the second one hurt my heart) and can’t wait for the next one!!!
Michelle, right?? I don’t think I’ve ever read a series in which *months* later I am still reeling from what happened in one of the middle books! Aaaaand now I’m choked up. *snuggles into Michelle and sniffles*
Two words…the RICKTATOR!!!
I know Amy! That series will stay with me for a long time *snuggles back* well at least I think I’m snuggling Amy…I can’t tell without the makeup, nail polish, earrings…
Hey, I told her I’d share her nail polish with her! Speaking of which, another decision. What nail polish today?
I’ll eventually get around to reading the next book. I’m just not in a sob your heart out mood. Besides my next sob book is going to be Gus (in four days!). Then I’ll let my heart get torn out again.
Haha Michelle and Tessa!
OK UTEOTW it is….. Thanks for helping me make a decision! But I am feeling a little squirrelly with Spencer…… Hmmmm
Brilliant!!!!! If apocalypse we head to a B&N with a Starbucks and barricade ourselves.
Looting Sephora and liquor on the way. Don’t forget the looting!
Nevermind. I’m reading Never, Never Part 2 instead.
I’m sane?! Guess that depends on your definition. BUT I will fight for the makeup and nail polish!!! *takes off earrings*
Just read Since Drew and it was sooo good!! Thought it was going to be a sports romance and it kinda was with the H a college football star and the h an Olympic hopeful runner, but there was definitely more to their story. Enjoyed it because it wasn’t the “typical” story.
Now to decide what to read next…
Amy, I LOVE that. Together we will get Fabi to watch at least the first two seasons.
And may I say I’m impressed that you are not offended that some ( side eyes them. They know who they are) for fighting over your stuff when we thought you gone.
Maryse has posted & Michelle!
Just MichelleS. I’m thinking that she probably got arrested at RT for breaking into a certain author’s room and hiding in her closet.
Or ordering sexually explicit drinks… 😉
*drags Jean away from Spencer* Nope, nuh-uh…you’re sticking with UTEOTW! 😛
Bev, I’m not offended ’cause we’re gonna be looting Sephora which means more makeup!! Although, I am wondering if those are MY earrings that Cheryl is taking off up there…
Tessa, book 2 wasn’t (for me, at least) sob inducing…it was more like it made me teary-eyed and sniffly but with a deep ache that still hasn’t gone away. Which you know I love. 😉
*checks for zombie bites* Ooooh, ya brat Michelle!! Just ’cause I look like crap doesn’t mean I’m zombified!! *grabs Michelle and snuggles back into her*
Sorry, I am saving myself for Gus! 😛
Oooh, puppy pile? *jumps in the mix and snuggles with Michelle and Amy*
GUS!!! 😀
Here Cheryl, I’ll “hold” those earings for you. *smirk*
So, basically if the apocalypse happens are survival plan is a slumber party? Hmmm. I figure we either get taken out in the first wave or against all odds we survive and thrive.
Heh, we would probably tell rescuers just one more chapter.
Our. Our survival plan. Geesh.
…
…
I’ll bring a lighter. All the fumes from the alcohol alone will keep us safe.
You guys were right! Started UTEOTW last night! Oh I am loving it! Just what I needed! Thank you!!!!!
LOL Tessa!!!!! I like how your mind works… 😛 And I say we would survive and thrive, Bev. Remember, y’all think my hubby is Rambo so he can be our hunter/gatherer/protector. 😉
Fabi! You have to say “shiny!” when you grab the earrings!!
Oh Jean, I’m soooo glad you’re loving it! Don’t read the blurb for So Long, Lollipops before you finish book 1 though…just don’t. It’s a novella and doesn’t HAVE to be read, but it’s a nice little extra to something that happens in book 1.
And by the way…since you took our word for it on UTEOTW, I’m going to start Becoming Calder as soon as I finish with Collide and Pulse. 😉
Thanks for that heads-up Amy! I’m literally trying to read at my desk….don’t want to put it down! And you guys already have me anxious about book 2 and the gut wrenching feelings!
Amy, yay, reading Becoming Calder! Please stick with it… one of my friends just started it and found it a little slow in the beginning, but I promise it is soooo worth it! She is loving it now!
Haaaa Amy. “Shiny”
*is pouting* She took her/my nail polish back!
