Happy new release day!!! A smaller one today, but I’ve highlighted plenty that sound darn good! 😀
Like ➔ (blurb-jolt time!!) That one up there to the left. Little Broken Things: A Novel (her sister sends her a cryptic note, and then leaves a terrified little girl with her… “Nora hands her over to Quinn with instructions to keep her safe, and not to utter a word about the child to anyone,” and then disappears!!! GASP!!!!), First (this is actually in the reader recommendations section, a recent release, and I’m hearing it IS AWESOME – and had one of our fellow readers in a panic!!), Crank (also a recent release that is making it right to the top of the Amazon charts, so I one-clicked it! The beginning of the blurb had me grinning 😉 She crashes into a mechanic’s truck… *whoooops*), Sweet Tea and Sympathy (she’s a new-in-town, scorned event planner, and he’s the coveted middle school principal – and I LOVE this author. She’s so good, and often hilarious!), Like Broken China (totally ominous sounding blurb… she loses her heart to a reckless boy, and eventually marries him… “Now saddled with two children, a sky-high mortgage, and a marriage crippled by addiction, Courtney finds herself desperately trying to hold on to the life she knew.“), and Maestro’s Muse (he’s a reclusive artist that wants a baby, and she just wants the money…)
P.P.S. Let me know if I’m missing any or if you loved any (from this list or elsewhere).

For those going on a road trip soon, or maybe you’ve got some projects that require both hands this weekend but still allows you to “listen”… check out the free audible trial + 2 free audiobooks deal —>
- AND! Here’s the fun-tool again! —> Find out which of YOUR Kindle books are available as audiobooks at a BARGAIN-PRICE! <—
This thing is so cool (Amazon calls it “Matchmaker“)! It’s an Amazon feature, that scans all of your Kindle books and will list all of the ones you have that are also available as an audiobook at a discounted price (not normal audiobook prices). This way, you can switch back and forth, seamlessly between your ebooks and your audiobooks. VERY COOL!

- One Plus One: A Novel by JoJo Moyes <— JOJO MOYES SUPER-BARGAIN!!!
Annie: Currently I’m listening to One Plus One by Jojo Moyes. The narration is spot on. One of the easiest to get into right off the bat. Sometimes my ear has to get used to voices and then connect to the character. Not with this book.

Good morning! Am I first?
Woo hoo! Going to check out Little Broken Things…
Good morning! I slept awful last night, looking forward to nap time…but, yes! Little Broken Things sounds so good!!
Ladies, remember to join Tasha’s book exchange.
I’m trying to make a list, harder than I thought.
Good morning! I’m picking up Like Broken China. Sounds all kinds of angsty!
Agreed Nay and Lisa… that one sounds like it’ll be an emotional train wreck. :D!!
First and Like Broken China – added to the list!!! Good morning, all. Two more sleeps till turkey!!!
Morning ladies! Big pre-turkey day hugs. I am like Lisa and can’t wait.
Right now I am taking advantage of that free kindle unlimited deal and am read/listening to Tiffany Snow’s Corrupted Hearts series.
I am trying not to add to the TBR too much except for the KU ones. I honestly don’t know how much reading time I will be able to fit in for rest of year unless they are audios. So….Ms. Maryse aka Evil Book Temptress, needs to stop with the shinies. 😉
Leslie!! Shinies are fun. I just added two more to mine. *sigh* I hope they’re as good as they seem. Lots of enthusiasm *fingers crossed*
Love falling….in front of people. But at least I still have my coffee.
Listening to this song this am, like the beat
https://youtu.be/wKMjYxt0V_4
Reading Dead Woman Walking by Sharon Bolton and holy cow! It starts off with a bang! I’m not far, but it’s giving me the feeling of when we read The Most Dangerous Game in jr. high. That story terrified me.
Tasha I love terrifying books. I’m looking it up!! 😀
Reading Host by Faith Hunter. I really should be reading other things, but I wanted to continue the trilogy, and now I’m on the third and can’t set it down.
I have Mafia and his Angel 3, the end of the trilogy. I will say that, based on the first two, everyone who likes mafia books should read it. It’s not typical, but it’s pretty awesome. TONS of angst. I did pre-order the fixed novella too. I figure it’ll be perfect for a quick, fun read.
Okay weather. I know Kooloo will kill me when she reads this, but yes, it’s a complaint. Today is supposed to be 75 degrees. 0.0 Does mother nature not know it’s November, almost December?
Good morning all!
I second the rec for Kingmaker Chronicles. Loved them!
I am intrigued by “First”, because the author wrote the Roam series – one of my all time faves. And I have time this week – off for Thanksgiving.
I just finished “Counter to my Intelligence” – totally corny title, but I was “in a mood” and it fit the bill. Finished it in one session. It’s a May-December biker romance. He’s 54 and the club’s president, and pretty hard and jaded, and she is 30 and just got out of prison on a bad rap. And he used to date her mom! gasp! I know, I know – but I was “in a mood” remember?
Good morning fellow book nerds!!
Thanks for another fabulous list, Maryse. 😀 I snagged First, Sweet Tea and Sympathy (’cause I love small town stories), and Like Broken China plus Unexpected Arrivals (Kooloo’s rec from the other day. Who else is looking forward to Friday?!? More books!!
Oh bev… *snort* If anyone understands falling in public it’s me. But you saved the coffee so YAY!!!
MichelleS!!! *HUGE squeezy hugs* Missed you, lady. 😉
Bev, I’m listening to this… heard it on Anthony Bourdain’s show in Seattle. It’s mellow & kinda cool. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=rY2WaQ11XVM
So I’m finally getting back to Forget (my pick-for-me read…thanks Jean!) and OMG I am cringing for her, LOL! I can’t help but think of this and how often I remember embarrassing things…
https://whisper.sh/whisper/0518cc22b7c825417957481e58145cb5ab0834/When-you-remember-that-embarrassing-thing-you-did-8-years-ago-
So…”Crank”… horrible title, BTW, but I decided to read Amazon reviews… and now I one-clicked it!!! LOL. This was the review that cinched it…
“OH MY FREAKING JESUS!
This was one of the hottest books I’ve ever read! Walker is unbelievable! All the Gibson boys are unbelievable! Tell me where I can get one of those, please!”
MichelleS I one clicked it too. The blurb sounds fun, but nothing out of the ordinary… but the reactions to that book are INCREDIBLE. I must read it!!!!
I just pre-ordered a book called ‘Uncharted: A Survival Love Story’ by Julie Johnson that’s coming out 1/10/18.
All I had to see was ‘crash landed’ and ‘forbidden love’! *click*
That’s my catnip too!! Devastating circumstances, and you have to depend on each other… and then the bonding. And the crazy fears. MINE!!! Thank you Nay!
Ooh! Crash landed… surviving together… love that theme! Yes! Reading mojo is back.
I clicked it, Nay! As long as it isn’t the kind of forbidden like in The Wild then I’ll be keeping it. 😉
Amy, you are reading Forget? Oooh, wait until you start Blur. That’s where all the angst is.
Yay MichelleS, though none of us are going to judge you for your books. lol I sure don’t have room to judge. 🙂
Leslie, the price of KU vs how many books you get for it just seems worth it to me. I save so much money with it. 🙂 Also, that moment when you are in the mood for a type or if something is like 50 pages. I hate paying actual money for 50 pages of a book.
It’s a KU book… so win win.
Ok, I fell for the catnip and got Crank. The title doesn’t do anything for me, so this book better be as good as everyone is saying! LOL
I read First by Kimberly Adams and it was fantastic. Loved it. If you haven’t read her Roam series you are so missing out! I cannot say enough about Roam. The writing, the characters, the overall plot of the books, the love, the angst, add in some Time travel and you have an unforgettable series. Sigh…..I love these books.
Yep Tessa, I’m reading it and I’m totally IN so far. 😀
Alright, clicking Crank. Because FOMO.
I am waiting for ‘zon to discount KU for Black Friday… that’s the gift I’m giving to myself. “The Grinch’s heart grew 2 sizes that day…” *tosses glitter*
So what’s up everyone?
Grey, you didn’t get the freebie 2 months?
Amy, oh my…. Forget and Blur… *passes wine and chocolate*
MichelleS…. yum! LOL! Kingmaker Chronicles, I think Tessa recommended that too me too… isn’t there going to be a third one though? I’m trying to stay good. I can’t with the cliffies lately, LOL.
I loved Forget/Blur.
Robyn – totally agree about Roam series. Fantastic! They just got better & better. And the “bad guy”? ARGH. Time travel was a bonus too. I thought I’d get lost, but never did. I read the spinoff series too.
So, start Crank? Or watch CNN? Hmmmm..,,
Any feedback on Unexpected Arrival?? I need something angsty like.
Tessa, I did, but I haven’t had a ton of time to read… so I was waiting to redeem… is that screwed up or what? God, what am I waiting for? stupid. you just decided for me. After I start and finish Collide…haha!
I just posted the signups for December Pick For Me on the Goodreads page!
Eep! I still need to read my November book!
Maryse–are you joining the Christmas book exchange? And anyone else who’s interested, check out the thread on GR.
Lindsay, Unexpected Arrival looks good, but I haven’t read it yet.
I think Kooloo might have read that one.
In honor of the late, great David Cassidy, my first HUGE crush.
This is my favorite Partridge Family song and watching this scene again makes me realize that this was my also first experience with a fantasy male asserting his manhood (and making me like it!) Definitely a sign of things to come!
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wAXFkUaQoAs
I’m just starting unexpected arrival. 10% so far so good.
Has anyone read first. It sounds really good and all the reviews are all 5 stars but I’m scared about the ending. Is it happy?
Ooh and I just finished Alex by Sawyer Bennett and I looooved it. Instant 5 stars.
Ok. Had to abandon Crank. It’s told in present tense… a big turn off for me. “I come. I see. I conquer.” Doesn’t sound right… “I came. I saw. I conquered.” Yup. That sounds right. I might be picky, but I just can’t do present tense!!!
So… First it is… and, dang, I’m hooked already!
MichelleS keep me updated on First. I love military men heartache stories!!!
Nay, I love that song!! I think my first crush was Shaun Cassidy. I loved the Hardy Boys. 😉
Morning my beautiful people!!! So as 8 (that’s how many friends I have lol) of you know I just joined bookface!!!!
And to celebrate this momentous occasion I am doing an Turkey Day/xMass cook ebook give away!!! All you have to do friend me (Kooloo DT) and post a sexy man picture of the HOHOHO variety on my page to win!!!
This is just one of the 6 books up for grabs…
Thanksgiving 101: Celebrate America’s Favorite Holiday with America’s Thanksgiving Expert by Rick Rodgers
Happy Thanksgiving Eve US peeps! Happy Wednesday everyone else! I’ve been up since 5am. 2 pies, gravy, and cranberry sauce = DONE! Still have to make cornbread and sangria today.
Kooloo! I saw your FB! But I’m still in jail. 🙁 Come join my group though. I can talk in there!
Don’t Stop Me Now by Colleen Coleman is on sale for .99 from 2.99 (one on my tbr) The Law of Moses by Amy Harmon is FREE
The Law of Moses! Touching and heart wrenching from what I remember…
The Marriage Pact by Michelle Richmond is 2.99 down from 12.99! Sounds perfect for thriller lovers. *cough*Maryse*cough*
Looking it up right now!!! 😀
3 things: (just cuz)
1. As of Monday, my tree is up & decorated. 🙂 (I started a new tradition few years ago to have tree for Thanksgiving)
2. I need to adjust my book rating scale and then re-rate some books. Not in mood but I need a “5++” for my all time faves. Otherwise I feel like I can’t give 5 stars to others I love but just won’t compare to my faves like Twilight. (Cuz, hello?? NOTHING will ever be as good as Twilight for me)
3. I want pumpkin pie, gingerbread cookies and anything candycane flavored. Omg! Do you know they have peppermint twinkies??? *tastebuds are doing happy dance*
I have a bajillion things to get done today… Thanksgiving is at my house tomorrow. And what am I doing? I am blubbering all over the place, because I just finished FIRST, and I am officially a mess!
5 stars for this amazing read. Why do we read what we read? Well, no matter what – paranormal, fantasy, historical, contemporary – first and foremost, we want ROMANCE. We want to feel the LOVE between the characters. And let me tell you now – this is a LOVE STORY. You feel it in every pore of your body. It’s the fairy tale we all dreamed of as young girls and women and why we read this “stuff”. It took me there, over and over. I felt what she felt. GAH! I am an emotional mess. So I guess I am recommending it – and Amy, this has your name written all over it girl.
Michelle, I love when a book does that to me! The characters are so real and you just “feel” them. The last book to do that to me was Forever Right Now. I get weepy just thinking about it.
1. I’m still in the kitchen pre-cooking.
2. Alexa just flipped out and started playing nothing but Christmas music.
3. I was going to give my turkey boobs, but I’m worried separating the skin that much might dry it out. I’m seriously wasting time contemplating this…
1. Going to Sears soon to pick a mattress and stove (fingers crossed all goes smoothly, I like to hibernate in the winter and today’s one of the worst days to go shopping).
2. Then going to see Coco in theaters (fingers crossed the little devils behave, they’ve been something else today)
3. I need a nap 🙂 🙂
P.S.- If anyone is still wanting to join our fun book exchange this year, head over to Goodreads. I made a thread for the exchange in Maryse’s Wolfpack/Bridesmaids under Miscellaneous!
Turkey boobs?!?
*scratches head in dismay*
LOL!! I emailed you a pic!
OMG I need sleep. I could have just linked it!
*clicked on R’s turkey boob picture*
*traumatized*
I want turkey boobs!
Three things, huh?
1. Grilled cheese sandwiches made by a sandwich maker are nummy!
2. Next month little dude and I are going to S. Ca to see family. It’ll be the first time he’s been on a plane. He’s good with it all except he’s scared his cousin won’t like him. (She already does.)
3. Turkey boobs look like it’d be too dry once it’s cooked.
No. Just no.
*chokes at picture of turkey boobs* People eat that?? I’m scared!
Michelle S. I abandoned Crank too :/ didn’t like the present tense or the instalust.
Three things:
1. It’s a glorious sunny morning here. Just makes you feel good.
2. Going out soon with my hubs to a local cafe for a nice coffee and read the paper. No work today 😀
3. Doing some baking this arvo. Blueberry muffins I think.
I’m a quarter way into Crank and I’m not feeling it so much. I struggled with her digging through his desk and customer invoices and making up her own rules for his customers while he was busy… (when she was just there to pay HIM for her own damage). GAH!!!!!
Anyway… I may squirrel.
Well, shopping was a bit of a bust. I got what I needed, but not without the guy working like a sloth. Seriously imagine that scene at the DMV in Zootpoia. And 1 fight and a big meltdown. Missed the movie time we wanted, but made it to the next just in time. I had to go potty really bad the whole time and got a bad headache, but Coco was great! I had to get myself under control at the end so ppl didn’t see my tears. Lol, SO ready for bed!!
Maryse – try First instead. I was hooked after two chapters. Sigh. First love, and it’s a REAL feeling kind of book. Gave me that “feeling” I had when I started reading CR a few years ago. And it’s one book. No Cliffie.
Perfect MichelleS. That is EXACTLY what I want. I’m on it.
Jan – right?!?!? Totally over the insta-lust. Maybe guys do think that stuff when they first meet you, but I don’t need a male POV in a book telling me in present tense what’s on his mind. Gah! Give me some slow burn, or angst, for crying out loud.
I’m on a total Stephie Walls binge. Maryse posted her newest book Unexpected Arrivals and I loved it. I loved it so much I dove straight into her backlist. Her duet “Bound” and “Freed” was so intense. Lots of drama and angst. Bound kind of had a DRIVE feels to it.
Yeah Michelle. I’m over that too. Let’s have a little bit of time where we actually get to know each other before we start getting obsessed with thoughts of sex. OK, maybe it is a guy thing??? but I don’t want to read about it.
Right there with you, Jan, and MichelleS and Nay… I just wanna ONLY BE HER.
In real life… I would ONLY be her, and I’d get all of my OWN insecurities and perceptions and butterflies… I would FEEL it. I’ve always preferred a single POV.
That’s why I didn’t get Crank–I saw it was FPPT AND had HIS pov. I no longer want HIS pov!! I don’t want to know what he’s thinking! I don’t want to know what he’s doing every minute when he’s not with the heroine, so that even if she’s worried about where he is and who he’s with, *I* know that he’s only volunteering at the soup kitchen! Give me some angst, authors!
Squirrel Maryse. Squirrel. Go to outer space with Gaan. Or go totally different genre with To Tell the Truth.
Do it. You know you want to.
*whispers to Nay* what’s FPPT?
LOL Jan!! I was wondering too. 😉
Hey, notice how I don’t push Simon on you and Amy anymore?
I’m getting beter.
Jan–first person, present tense
Amy–thanks for the heads up on The Marriage Pact! I was going to put that on my Christmas Exchange shelf because I remembered it being expensive, but when I looked at it, I thought the price had simply come down. I didn’t even think about it being on sale! Duh!
Yes bev, you are getting better.
Now I’m sorry I ruined your cookies and made you sit on them.
*snort*
Doesn’t it look intriguing, Nay??
Sooooo, I’m thinking I won’t be reading Crank even though I already clicked it. If it’s not working for that many of you, I strongly doubt it will work for me. 😕
HOWEVER! First is sounding pretty promising, even if it does break my no-military-guy-books rule. 😉
And if MichelleS says First has my name all over it, then I’m gonna trust that!
*checks out turkey boobs*
*drops head into hands*
Oh FFS…
But….i mean….you know who likes cookies….right?
Oreo cookies.
SIMON!!
And me. 🙂
Amy–yes, it does and I clicked it right away!
I got First yesterday. I’ve already started Frayed Silk, so I want to finish that first, but I haven’t had time to read! Had my monthly check-up today, so that always consumes my entire day.
The turkey boobs are genius! But please don’t try any other body parts! lol
I think First Person Present Tense.
*whispers to Nay and bev* Thanks.
Now I know what it is I can use the term. I don’t like FPPT. There authors! I know some of you love it, but for me it’s usually a turn-off – enough to make me not buy a book.
I generally don’t care for FPPT, but if the writing and storyline are exceptional enough to cause me not to be distracted by it while reading then I’m okay with it.
Dual POV…I used to enjoy it until my angst tolerance grew pretty high. Now, it’s only preferable for me when I’ve just been emotionally drained by a book and need something that will be a little easier on me, which dual POV usually is. Knowing what’s going on with HIM kills the anxiety felt by HER. And me. 😉
What am I doing on the blog at 245 in the am, you ask? Well I’ve been online shopping 😮 *grumbles about spoiled children and their idiotic mother* Wait…that’s me… *shuffles off to bed*
But first, let me be the first…Happy Thanksgiving to all of my fellow US friends! And to my non-US friends that may not be celebrating Thanksgiving today, I am sending out my best wishes to you all today anyway. I am so thankful to have all of you…our book family in this little corner of the Internet. Thank you, Maryse, for giving us a home! *hugs* Enjoy your families and your feasts! and to any of you that are partaking in shopping shenanigans…be safe, have fun and may the deals be ever in your favor.
I’m mostly over dual pov, except when it’s done just right (when the male pov is only given at certain times and to reveal certain things).
Maryse–I don’t think this was the brand you were looking for, but I was looking at the Black Friday deals for today in electronics, and the first thing I saw listed were these robotic vacuums:

I’m with Nay! 😆
Actually, I like any POV that’s done well. I just hate it when the voices feel so similar I have to keep reminding myself who’s speaking.
Happy Thanksgiving US peeps! Happy Thursday everyone else.

and yes there is an APP FOR THAT
Cheryl, your sangria recipe is fantastic!!! And my turkey’s still frozen!!!
I just made cheesy mashed potatoes. And over whipped them into the consistency of glue. *sigh*
Pass the Sangria please.
I just ordered an iRoomba on Amazon (deal of the day) for 134.99 – regularly 299.99 – woohoo – happy day! I know it’s not the super duper one, but I don’t need to control the vacuum with my phone! Happy girl. Now – time to peel potatoes. Ugh. I hate peeling potatoes.
I just got a Roomba too!!! Mine is the more basic model, (model 614?) ’cause I just need it to handle my daily dust. I can’t “schedule” it but I don’t even care, ’cause I HAVE to be here while it runs, so I can make sure there aren’t any “doggie mishaps” to run over… and *ahem* decorate with. 😉
MichelleS!!
You know what’s worse than peeling potatoes?
Peeling potatoes, boiling them, mashing them and turning them into inedible potato glue. You’re welcome!! 🙂
*passes Maryse sangria*
Maryse you need this! Perfect mashed potatoes every time! https://www.amazon.com/OXO-Grips-Stainless-Steel-Potato/dp/B00004OCJQ/ref=sr_1_5?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1511455570&sr=1-5&keywords=potato+ricer
Been wanting to go purse shopping or t.v. shopping, lol.
Happy Thanksgiving everyone. 🙂
I’m thankful for so much, not the least of which is this place, all of you wonderful ladies, and the plethora of info I have amassed here from book info to food and drink recipes to makeup and nail polish talk.
Have a beautiful turkey day, ladies. Keep the deals and finds comin’. 😉
Oh, and I’m also joining the Roomba-owning club as of today as well. Anything to make life easier, right?
One of my favorite Thanksgiving things ever. No matter how often I see it, I laugh. And was based on a true incident.
As God as my witness….*snort*

OMG… *snicker*
Happy Thanksgiving!!!
Maryse & R, I feel your thanksgiving food drama pain. I have been there!! Fingers crossed today is smooth for once.
I hate peeling potatoes too! I found that you can do them the night before. Just store in water and put in fridge. Rinse and use fresh water next day to cook.
What am I grateful for?? You guys!!! *big thankful hugs to all and fist bump to bev*
You know what else I’m thankful for and just have to say it? Having hubby here. He has missed countless anniversaries, Thanksgivings, birthdays, Valentine’s days, and other holidays over the last 20 years (but only one Christmas, thank goodness), and any holiday where he IS here is a time to be thankful for.
And let me just say…you guys, this place, and the shenanigans that go on here have been some of the best distractors at some of my worst times when he has been gone. 😉
Okay, sappy time is over now.
I’m the oddball, I guess (go figure)…I actually LOVE peeling potatoes. 😳
I’m glad he can be home with you Amy. Are you cooking one of your feasts?
It is ok to be sappy, Maryse has a beautiful Thanksgiving post up.
I just visited that post and got sappy all over again. Then after I posted it I realized how long the comment was and cringed at being a board hog. But whatever. Y’all are used to that by now and can just roll your eyes at me. 😉
And yes, I’m making all of my traditional favorite dishes today so I guess you could call it a feast. 😀 Right now is my “break” before things REALLY kick off.
What are you doing today, bev? Cooking? Hosting? Going elsewhere to family/friends’ house?
All day long my brother-in-law: “Put me to work. What can I do?”
Also my brother-in-law: “Don’t you like the skins ON your mashed potatoes?” 🙄
“Don’t you like the skins ON your mashed potatoes?”
*facepalm*
Blasphemy!
Lookie what I found for Christmas gift ideas! I’m totally making these for my coworkers.
Omg…the link.

Imagines myself hosting……*shudder*
I’ve only attempted to cook it once or twice for my very immediate family asking my mom questions every other step.
Growing up peeling the potatoes was always my job, MichelleS.
Have a great Thanksgiving American peeps. Some retailers over here have been jumping on the bandwagon and offering Black Friday sales, but we Aussies don’t even know what Black Friday means. Still, our eyes light up at the word ‘sale’ LOL. Any excuse!

from a new novella, Once Upon A Maiden Lane by Elizabeth Hoyt. Kinda finishing off her Georgian HR series I read earlier in the year. It’s a decent length for a novella, but it’s nothing that special….. :/ Still, I’m committed now and I’m gonna finish it. I’m rarely a fan of novellas though. Not enough time for plot and character development. It’s hard to do them well.
First off… Yeah, Amy! So happy you got your hubby home for Thanksgiving this year. That’s awesome.
Currently we are waiting for the turkey to be done. It was supposed to be done two hours ago.
I don’t need a Roomba. Hardwood floor, and little dude LOVES to vacuum. He’d be so disappointed if we got one. They don’t make enough noise.
I’ll do my FLT after dinner. lol Oh, and I hosted one Thanksgiving years ago; my mom’s last one. It was her favorite holiday so almost the whole family came to our house. I sat in a corner and made sure not to get overwhelmed. (Seriously, 6 siblings, their spouses, their kids, and a few kid’s kids came. I liked my corner!) Best part, three separate turkeys, tons of food, and I didn’t have to cook most of it. 😀
WHY DO I DO THIS TO MYSELF – Gahhhh every time
It’s starts Oh that’s nice cover… then Ooooooo I like that bulb…
then click – then read – then……. MY HEART GETS RIPPED OUT OF MY CHEST…. Again!

Oh, Just an FYI, anyone who likes Mafia books, SERIOUSLY, read Mafia and his Angel by Lylah James! I devoured all three books, and it’s just so good. Not a bully, though he was a jerk at first, but there’s so much emotion with the usual kill, torture, fight of mafia books.
Happy Thanksgiving to all you US people. I hope you have a good one.
One question do you always have mashed potatoes for Thanksgiving.
Not roast potatoes or scalloped potatoes. And I love peeling potatoes because the end product is soooo Delish. I have a great recipe for scalloped potatoes.
Also all Tarryn Fisher books are on sale for 99cents.
Melinda, its traditional here to have mashed potatoes with the turkey. A lot of people also do a mashed sweet potato casserole as well. Mmmmm, scalloped potatoes are delish, but not typically served on Thanksgiving.
Scallop and roast are great but mashed are king at Thanksgiving. I mean it’s the perfect bowl for gravy.
Yes, mashed potatoes are a must. They must be peeled, and russet, not red or gold! My mom always wants Yukon gold. No no no, I want white mashed potatoes. The struggle is real.
I have mashed potatoes. It’s pure tradition for Thanksgiving. Though *whispers* if it were up to me, I’d keep the peel in it.
I wondered why it was always mashed potatoes. Even in the movies. Now I know.
I love the idea of Thanksgiving. Such a shame we don’t ha e it here. Enjoy all.
