Happy New Release day and Thanksgiving week!! Just a few more days until I’m in a perpetual turkey coma (’cause yes, I’ll be happily eating Thanksgiving leftovers for days after). I don’t get sick of it.
Today’s release list presents a few that have me wiggling in my seat, like that one up there to the left. OMG it sounds intense, and it’s Megan Hart, and I LOVE HER (I’ve read and reviewed many of her books) so I know. LOL!! Oh. And did you guys know that the Harry Potter books have just been released in audiobook format? I posted ’em below in the audio section. :D!!! ALSO —> KINDLE Black Friday deals are on right now, and they are BIG deals.
Okay, so what looks extra blurb-jolty, to me, today? Hold Me Close (they were both kidnapped together as teens, survived and bonded, and as adults are in a turbulent relationship together), Sin and Sorrow (her vampire family – husband and child – has been killed, they don’t feed from humans, and she wants revenge, but falls in love with the son of the man that hunts them), Taking It Off (embarrassed school teacher at a strip club bachelorette party, and the owner & sexy headliner takes notice), Denial (wakes up in Italy with no memory and has been “claimed” by a man), Butterfly Dreams (she’s a severe hypochondriac, afraid of dying, and falls for someone with heart disease), Wild Kisses (she has to attract the hottest guy on campus to get into the sorority, but starts falling for him…). Vegas Love sounds like SO MUCH FUN, too! (He’s working for his brother as a talent agent and *whoops*… marries the starlet he’s been assigned to, in Vegas! Accidentally?). LOL!!! I highlighted a few more below that sounds darn good, too!
Oh!!! And look what I found (or saw, ’cause it was an author that found ’em)? Adorbs “bookish” find of the day? An author just posted these and I saw ’em scrolling on my Facebook wall, and she’s in love, and OMG THEY ARE TOOOOOOO CUTE! I had to post ’em, too! Hot Chocolate Design Chocolaticas Notebook Women’s Mary Jane Flat (there are SO many adorable mismatched-perfectly matched may-jane shoes designs (like one is popcorn print -a actual popcorn, and the other is the movie popcorn bag, or like, OH!!! One is a whole strawberry print, and the other is a cute little strawberry design, and one is the inside of the watermelon, and the other is the outside of the watermelon and so on. I’m in love with these. So unique and girly and I want every single design! They even have heels! Here they all are if you’re curious. Soooo many good books. I wish I could listen to audiobooks. Maryse, seriously, find a way to read Harry Potter. That series is the one series I still smack my head for not mentioning in my favorites. (It has the number one spot) I’ve read the series so many times, I had to get them in hard back form because my paperbacks were trashed. My mom loved them, and she HATED fantasy. Just… try it!
Ooooh. I forgot that Sweet Ruin was next week. Next week is going to be expensive! 🙂 Misconduct, Sweet Ruin, Final Debt… *squees*
I loved the Noah’s Own series so much, it didn’t even register that Breaking Love was new and I’d been anticipating it. I just was lie, huh. Maybe a returned book? *facepalm*

I’m counting the days until Final Debt! I just started the series late last week. I usually wait until a series is complete (or close to it) before I start reading it. This series (for me) started off kinds slow (book #1) then BAM! your snowballing down a hill! It just keeps getting better and better! I’m just getting ready to start #5 and sneaking reading moments on my computer at work. (Tee hee hee ;-)) The end to #4 was just jaw dropping! I’m so happy I picked up this series! I’m loving the way it’s screwing with my mind. Happy Thanksgiving everyone and happy reading!! 🙂
The Man I Love was fantastic. I read it a few months ago and it has stayed with me. Every time I see the cover on my Kindle app I stop and go over the story in my mind.
Cristina, yeah! Isn’t the series insane? I am so excited for the last one. So many people need to die in it to make me happy. Or suffer horribly. I’ll allow suffer instead.

Couldn’t agree more Tess! I’ll be starting book 5 this evening. I am definitely hoping and anticipating some really evil people to die and/or suffer! Starting with the old crow at the very top!! Every book as a bigger ending than the one before it! I’ve been experiencing moments of “Yes, yes YES!!” and then.. “Did that seriously just happen?!” and THEN… “Oh no! Oh no! Oh HELL no!! NOOOOOO!!” This series is just one heck of a crazy ride!! 🙂

Amy!!!! Only his POV… BUT!!!! Even though that is not normally my favorite, this one is fantastic, it’s intense, it’s ALL SORTS OF FEELS, it’s realistic, it’s OMG ANGSTY, it TOTALLY works being HIS POV first… AND!!!!! AND!!!
The second book is from HER POV and trust me, without telling you why… (and spoiling it) hers will be very different and… I have to know…
Finished Breaking Love. It really didn’t hold up to the rest of the series, honestly. It felt forced to try to turn Dash into Keiran. Also, bow tie finish. *sighs* Hate bow tie finishes. However, there is one more book in the series. It’s going to involve Keiran and Lake, so real insanity as this time, it’s Lake who went nuts, not Keiran. It should be interesting.

Hmmm…I’m kinda torn on reading it. If you are getting all kinds of feels even with it being only his POV then it might be worth a shot for me.
Remember Emi Lost and Found? His POV just didn’t give me the feels I wanted, even though I still really liked it. In fact, had the prequel (which I read first) not been dual POV then I probably would have DNF’d book 1 which was his POV only. Then there was book 2 in her POV, and I swear I sobbed through most of it and my chest felt like it was caving in. And THEN book 3 was again male-only POV (or was it dual…I can’t remember) and I, again, didn’t feel a whole lot except for some residual sh!t from book 2. If you’ve read the series then you know why. 😉

When I read it a week or two ago there were a 100-200 reads/reviews. Now there are thousands! And the rating is still over 4. It has exploded.

Obviously Christmas is our big feast. It looks like we’ll be having super hot weather so it’s usually a huge lunch of seafood, glazed ham, salads and tropical fruit. Plus the day usually starts with cocktails not long after breakfast (!) so there are usually food comas in the afternoon …..before we hit the beach. For a few years when our kids were small we did the whole day at the beach (marquee for sit down lunch) which is a fabulous way to spend Christmas and mostly stress free. One day Id love to do a winter Christmas…it seems so crazy to me.
Fabi and Michelle…I’m eeking out my Illuminae love by reading veeeery slowly. Don’t want it to end, so I keep shelving it and reading something else. Trying to get my Bookclub to do it next.
I’m up to the bit where K goes over to Es ship….into Aidan madness!!
Dinner for tomorrow can vary, too. But most traditional is a turkey. Dressing and/or stuffing. Gravy. Mashed potatoes and/or sweet potatoes. Cranberries. Vegetable and/or Vegetable casserole.
Rolls
Pies with maybe whip cream or ice cream. Or any pie like dessert. And/or cake.
Then stuff to eat while the food is cooking. Like crackers and cheese and chips and dips and olive and ect.
Lisa, the idea pf Christmas in summer blows my mind. So do you hear the carols with snow and frost nipping on the radio through Dec?

Lisa, Thanksgiving is definitely about food, family, and football! But mostly food! Then, in our family, we have drinks later in the evening and laugh until our bellies hurt. 🙂

Lisa, I swear to you, you said go to the Beach at Christmas and I wanted to throw something at you! 😛 Just kidding. I grew up next to the beach and I remember every year, the news would come on and there would be tourist on the beach praising the beautiful, warm Southern California weather. *grins* Each year, my family would yell “boo” to the TV in protest against a lack of real winter.
I spent almost half my life with summer Christmas. The other half with winter Christmas. The carols are different. The ones that match are the religious ones and they don’t specify cold or hot weather.
Hahaha our ‘snow’ comes in a can and we spray it on the windows!
Lots of the decorations, carols and celebrations are snow or winter themed but its just how it is. It just seems normal to see Santa in a red felt hat and boardshorts *grins*.

Happy thanks giving. Sounds really nice. In Australia our family Xmas starts around 23rd and finishes 26th. We eat, eat and eat. Yes canned snow. Santa comes delivers presents on Xmas day. Sweating! Father Xmas. We have bbq’s with carols. It’s a really nice time. Preparing Xmas dinner in shorts. Then we have holidays.
A really great book I loved and just couldn’t put down was some sort of happy ( skylar and Sebastian) Melanie Harlow. Really enjoyed. Really good writing. A inside look at OCD. I’ve been recommending to everyone at work.

Reading Nancy Gideon newest in her Moonlight Series. For all that still read some paranormal, I think this author has gotten the short stick. She has created a great world, great characters, great story line that keeps going, romance, steam, suspense. It appears she may be spinning this off in the future.

Fabi- Collide? Is that the one by Gail McHugh? Loved that series.
Collide by Riley Hart. I just finished it. I was superglued to that book from page one. I couldn’t put it down until I finished. Wow! Hot, steamy, romantic, it had it all.

Hey guys! Hope you all had a good day yesterday! Avoiding the stores today and hopefully reading! Started On Paper and I am really loving it! Fabi, did you love it?!?! The heroine reminds me of us…..book fanatic going to book convention and meeting a great author who is potentially a jerk! Just started, but so far so good!
My goal for today is to be as lazy as possible. Lol. I cooked my heart out yesterday and then ate myself into a coma. I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I’ve got a hot date with my Kindle today. 🙂

It’s cold and rainy here, so I am staying home and doing some shopping online. I did finish Last Hour of Gann and it was seriously amazing. I will never forget it. Has “triggers”, Fabi – if you know what I mean. But, wow, what a story.
I went ahead and treated myself to Illuminae, but after Last Hour of Gann, I need something NOT Sci-Fi-ish…. so I went with a 99 cent teacher-student romance that is so, so wicked!
It’s called Eighteen (18), by JA Huss (of Rook and Ronin fame). It’s a doozy.
I need to read TLHoG. I almost started it yesterday but I ended up reading an erotic novella after Collide and then starting Sidekicks which I had on my EoY list.
Sidekicks is so good. It was highly recommended to me several months ago and it has been sitting in my tbr since then. I’m so glad I finally took the plunge.
November is the best reading month of the year for me this year.
I’m with all of you who are avoiding the stores…it was online shopping ONLY for me today. 😀
Cheryl, I’ve been debating getting that palette! And the color payout of UD’s eyeshadows is great. The only color I wouldn’t be able to work with is the blue shade, but the others I could definitely mix-n-match. 😉
