WEDNESDAY MORNING BREAKING NEWS UPDATE!!! WHITNEY G’s LATEST JUST WENT LIVE!!! On a Tuesday and the author says “**This is a second chance romance, inspired by Adele’s “When We Were Young“**” and Angela LOVED it, saying: “I devoured and finished this yesterday at 2 am! I was so worth it but in going to be exhausted today!!!”➔➔➔➔➔
“We met on a Tuesday.
Became best friends, then lovers, on a Tuesday.
And it all fell apart on a Tuesday…”
HAPPY NEW RELEASE DAY EVERYONE! It’s a BIG LIST TODAY (80+), and by the look of the awesome pre-order highlights for next week, probably an even bigger list then. But I’ve got a bunch from this list with blurbs that have titillated me. 😀
In fact, here’s my mini blurb jolt list: Five (J.A. Huss’s latest and it sounds like a sweet and intense second chance romance book, and so many of my friends were highly anticipating this one!), Lucas (*ahem* Hockey star he leaves a little surprise after a one night stand. 😉 I can only imagine… tee hee!!) Ties That Bind (Her ex and their sex tape went public, and ruined her famous image… and now he needs her help. This one sounds SO good, but it seems like a shorter book. How can she pack so much story into something in the hundred-and-something page range? I dunno, but it can be done. I’ve read awesome short ones before), White Bodies (Psych-thriller, and while they look like the perfect couple, her sister notices she seems abused… and she joins an online support group), Wicked Dirty (J. Kenner’s latest, and he’s a Hollywood heartthrob bad boy, caught by the paparazzi with a one night stand, so he tells them she’s his fiance. Oops!), Born, Darkly (Dark read? Or psych-thriller? Either way it sounds awesome. She’s a criminal psychologist and she’s falling for her serial killer patient. YIKES!!!!!! How in the heck is THAT going to play out. Oh I wanna know!!), and the one blurb that REALLY got me so hard in the feels… One More Thing. OMG that one sounds like it’s going to be emotionally heartrending and exquisite (she’s grieving her husband, and years later meets someone knew… in almost the same way she met her husband. “…that stick of gum was the catalyst of a series of events where our paths would continue to cross. There would be a broken nose, a fractured hand, a cat on a lead and a crashed corporate Christmas party that would align our hearts and make me realise that I wanted to be happy again. But there would be tears. Many, many tears. Because falling in love isn’t easy, especially when you’re still in love with another man.”) <— Tell me that doesn’t sound awesome??!!
And! Don’t forget to check out yesterday’s earlybirds ➔ 19 Monday Earlybird Book Releases (some heavy-hitters on that one!!) PLUS, in case you missed it, my latest book review is up and this book was 5-STAR PLUS AWESOME!!! ➔ Book Review – Until It Fades by K.A. Tucker

I’m first. Must be that it’s the 20th September here. Big list Maryse lots of goodies.
Just finished Begin again by Mona Kasten 5 stars for me. Jean’s recommendation. Really great book. Couldn’t put it down. Trying to read during lunch at work they kept interrupting me. So annoying. Jokes. Don’t you just love the full on love for a good book.
Morning! Great list! I’m dragging with this latest Tijan book! It’s kinda too YA NA for me…
YAY Melinda!!! You guys are making me so JEALOUS with this Begin Again book. I am ON IT!!!!!
Good morning Ela!!!!
Good morning everyone! Already one clicked Tiffany Snow’s Corrupted Hearts, I’ve been waiting so long and then somehow it slipped my mind and then there it was! So, I’m excited!! Also want to read White Bodies. But first, my library books have again spit out all over me at one so I’m trying to read as many as I again before they go back. So far, I’ve read The Impossible Vastness of Us, The Snow Child and and currently working on I Liked My Life by Abby Fabiaschi, which I’m loving! I swear I think I’ve been on the wait list for about a year for that one and I’d forgotten what it was even about, but for me it’s pretty relatable. I mean, not the ghost part, but the characters’ grief, the Mother’s job, they’re very real and well written and I like the direction it’s going. I am curious as to the why of it, but I’m too busy stuck in their lives for that to be the driving point that keeps me going. I’ve got Bad Romance and The F Word also on line-up…here’s to hoping I can tackle them before they go back! 😉
I’m currently reading Misbehaved by Charleigh Rose. So far, it’s definitely interesting. Good, but some darker elements besides teacher/ student.
I already pre-ordered Douchebag. 🙂 The other two were so good it was an automatic buy for me. Though, I still wish I knew who it was who was going to manually release a book yesterday. :/
So many pretties to one click!! I’m a bit overwhelmed this week but in the best possible way. I was lucky enough to win an early copy of Born, Darkly by Trisha Wolfe and my mind was blown!!!!! It’s one of the most intelligent yet bone chilling, mind f*ck of a book I’ve read in ages.
Do I Wanna Know and Why’d You only Call Me When You’re High?.
So good. Love it on a rainy morning.
Couldn’t resist adding a couple of those up there right now….so trying to behave and not add to the mountain, but what’s a girl to do? One More Thing was an absolute given…clickety click!!!
This is insane!!!!!!!!!!!
You Guys!! Did you know there is a book before One More Thing called 47 Things! Annnnndddd……it’s FREE! OMT looks so good and gut wrenching but the first book tells the story of the h ‘s first love. So I gotta start at the beginning.
YAY ROBYN!!!! ON IT!!! You just gave me a book thrill!!! 😀
A must read series, and yes in order, Tiffany Snow.
Okay Robyn I just one-clicked them both!!! 😀 DARNIT that I know how #1 ends, but in this case, I guess I don’t care. I just wanna live this story with them… it sounds AMAZING.
Thank you for mentioning Love’s Full Circle!
I second Ela. This is insane.
I liked your comment about Born Darkly, Maryse, when you said it had a blurb ‘that REALLY got me so hard in the feels’. OUCH! That sounds painful. 😉
And now you’re having a ‘book thrill’ Maryse. Just behave yourself!
*laughing*
Maryse, I clicked on both of them also. I can resist a freebie prequel even if I know where it’s going. It sounds so darn good!
Oh. Sure Maryse.
We Don’t do it for you anymore.
Our book recs are old and unsurprising.
Too familiar.
So now you find your thrills with Robyn.
I thought we had something special.
It hasn’t even been 7 years.
What a list Maryse!! Finished Sledgehammer, which I really, really enjoyed. It’s a standalone, but I would recommend reading Wrecking Ball first.
I got Begin Again from NetGalley, but also have an ARC I really need to read. Too many to choose from right now. It’s either I can’t find a book that interests me or there are too many I want to read, and I can’t decide which one to start first. *sigh* what a problem to have! 🙂
Robyn can’t help being thrilling bev!!! LOL!!!
But I can say YOU’RE pretty thrilling yourself. 🙂
Finished Chasing Vivi a day ago and really enjoyed. It’s a sorta bulky book for all of you out there who like those.
Then was so excited to start King of Code. And then so disappointed. I got to 25% and had to stop. Do not understand all that code computer mumbo jumbo. Sure many of you will and will love the book just not me. Do not have a tech brain and do not know the lingo which is used profusely. My fault. Should have looked into this more.
Chasing Vivi is a “bully” book not a bulky book. LOL
I didn’t enjoy Sledgehammer as much as Wrecking Ball. It just fell a bit flat for me :/
*perks up* Bully? *goes off to investigate*
*starts dancing* And it’s KU! Yeah!!!
*ears perk up* *elbows Tessa* hey…did you hear that? Julie said there’s a bully book we haven’t read. I’m on book lock down again, lol. Just until Friday… Lol, I hope! But it looks to be KU, so… You know, you could read it for us… Let me know if I need to add it to my list.
Omg! *bwahahaha* great minds and all that!
All of Emma Scott’s books are 99 cents today and tomorrow! Now I can go back to having a full KU LOL!
lol Grey, I have to finish a book I started first. Though, apparently, there were eight books prior that this is the spinoff of. I saw that and thought, oh, I better read those. Went to see the first book, and I read and remembered it! Like, to the point I’ve been trying to figure out what that book was for a while now. So… I’m reading the one now and will be getting the others for the other series probably next month.
Bully book perked me up too!
And thank you for that find, R!! I hope they’re still on sale on Friday and I’ll feature them in the Friday Finds post. 😀
I’ve been on a huge contemporary romance kick. I throw in a few pnr to make sure I don’t get bored, but really, for about a month, that’s what I’ve been wanting to read. As I told my sister-in-law, this is the longest I’ve ever gone without wanting to read a pure fantasy. It’s odd.
However, I am getting to read a bunch of awesome books, including bully books. 😀 So it’s not exactly bad.
I would recommend The Children of Neptune by Makenna Snow. A great fantasy ish read, fiction obviously. It’s got this amazing strong female lead and she is so good to read. makennasnow.com for it’s info. It’s really a good read.
For anyone who read Hollywood Dirt, it’s live on passionflix.com!
OMG somebody says bully book and you guys are like dogs on a bone! Chasing Vivi is about the h after the bullying. Trying not to give too much away here. Anyway good book. You will like.
Awww, dammit. I hope Emma’s books are still on sale on Friday, 😆 I have a couple I still have to get.
Maryse… One to add to the coming soon list. The Brother by K. Larsen is being released on 10/2.
Julie, that’s a catnip word. Lol The book I’m reading (okay I’m on page 1) I grabbed because I was told he was a jerk.
Also, recovering from being bullied is also good. It’s usually filled with a lot of emotions. 🙂 I’m good either way.
Just signed up for Passionflix! I couldn’t resist. 🙂
I think we should have a blog viewing party tonight! Ela may be in!
Oooh, sounds fun.
What time can you watch? I can around 8pm central.
I might need to start a little earlier as I am in EST.
I can be flexible. What time?
Tessa
Then you’ve got a bulky book to read. Lots of emotions from both characters. It’s good. Let me know what you think.
How about now?? 😉
Funny because I didn’t love Hollywood Dirt book, but I KNOW I will love movie. 🙂
20 minutes? I need to get the chicken on the grill and yes, I feel bad about eating chicken! Wanna set up a spoiler thread on GR?
I started it. The one I did start has an issue that I’m not fond of, so I skipped it, (which is a bummer, because otherwise, it sounds awesome).
Actually it’s just us. Ela bailed. We can email or text?
I will report back tomorrow to let you guys know what I thought of Hollywood Dirt movie.
FYI all the Emma Scott books are also free with KU too. Yeh!!
I really liked the book of Hollywood Dirt, but I’m not so sure about the movie after watching a promo for it. I’ll be interested to hear what you guys think of it.
I went to my local library today just for a browse and it was great to see they finally seem to be getting in more new CRs and HRs. Some good authors too. I came home with a swag of goodies – now I gotta read them in the next 4 weeks LOL. I did accidentally *almost* bring home an Amish romance by Wanda Brunstetter until I had a closer look and realised what it actually was and thought, just no. That’s not my cup of tea. I’m sure there are fans out there, but for me? No.
How was the movie???
Ela, the actor that played Cole was so hot I barely noticed anything else. 😉
LOL!!!!! I can’t wait to watch it too.
What she said! ^^^
Summer took some getting used to, but the scene where she asks Cole if he’s in pain totally made up for it. #swoon
Good morning ladies!!! I have a few minutes before I have to go back to adulting (blech!) and wanted to drop in and say hi and give hugs!
I was a VERY good girl…only clicked two from up there. Okay, maybe three. But still! That’s good for me. 😀

“He thrust into me one last time before relaxing his muscles and resting his weight on my chest.” ~ Josh & Anna and Gabe & Claire by Eliza Freed
*waggles eyebrows*
FLT “I was sitting in the back corner of the restaurant, staring down at the papers in front of me, when the waitress dropped off my glass of water.” Unveiling Fate by Jeannine Allison.
Two beta reads this week back to back. Both by Jeannines! How weird is that? And they both sent them to me at the same time.
Amy, instead of redoing your house move into this one.

That’s adorable bev! Although I agree with what was said in the article, that it would make a great vacation rental. I’ll bet someone could make a pretty penny renting it out. 😉

Even though it’s only October, the frigid New York air razors straight through my coat, chilling me down to the marrow.
Chasing Vivi by AM Hargrove
You all see that Maryse posted on FB that Vicious by LJ Shen is only 99 cents? So, you all should go buy it. *nods*
I loved Hollywood Dirt so much that I’m afraid they will ruin the movie!
Tessa, I second that… loved Vicious!
FLT: What’s up, turkey butt? (Bright Side)
Yes, I finally took the plunge. I love Kate (how can you not), I love Gus, I love Clayton, Peter, Keller, Shelly…..sigh. I swear I am slow reading this one because I love them all so much, but I know the hurt is coming and I’m so damn scared! I don’t know if I’ll really recover from this one. I’m @50%.
50%? *hands over Manny straight away, tissues, and the blankie fort makings* Need ice cream? Alcohol?
I’ll take it all Tessa!
*hands it all over* And also here, chocolate.
FLT: ~ I swung myself up onto the ledge, cursing Sean silently as I shifted and balanced. ~ My Image of You by Melanie Moreland.
Grey! I loved that book!
I’m writing the first 2 lines because it works better that way, I think. FLT: “Five hundred twenty-five thousand six hundred minutes. That’s how long it takes me to start falling out of love with you.”- Bad Romance by Heather Demetrios
– I tried The F Word, again (this is the second time I’ve started it), and I still just can’t get into it for whatever reason. May just be time to take it off the tbr.
– I finished I Liked My Life and 5 star loved it, yesterday. I saved a lot of quotes. A lot of good lessons in that one and I really did like how the grief all played out, them moving on with their lives was very realistic. And the mystery of the why, I think, wasn’t too shocking, but worked well.
Amy & Tasha, your first lines are…WOW! Both those sound really good.
Oooh, Bad Romance. Let me know what you think. Her I’ll Meet You There was one of my favorites last year. Loved it.
Bad Romance does sound really good! I love that first line!
*waves* hi bev!
Bad Romance does sound relly good! I love that first line!
*waves* hi bev!
Yeah it does, though after that first line, I have the full soundtrack of Rent going through my head. 🙂 (This is not exactly a bad thing.)
Jean is finally reading Bright Side?!?
*spastic happy dance*
Tessa, we need to DOUBLE the supplies for her. Except Manny. Manny can’t be duplicated.
Tasha…I have that one (I Liked My Life)! I clicked it when it was on sale not long ago. SO happy to hear it’s as good as I hoped it would be. 😀
Whoa.
Two Jeans.
There is a story there.
Goodness Amy! Your first line is rather *saucy*. Talk about straight into the action!
bev, I’ve seen that house on TV on ‘Extreme Homes”. Crazy cute.
FLT: Emma Gladstone had learned a few hard lessons by the age of two-and-twenty. from The Duchess Deal by Tessa Dare. A HR (What’s new LOL). It’s a buddy read for a Goodreads group of historical romance lovers. I’m not loving this book that much actually, but I’ll keep going.
Yeah bev, I screwed up logging in at work. Put wrong email address and when it said your comment is being moderated and a different icon, I was like woops.
Back to my blankie fort….
*sends even more chocolate* I’m sorry?
That’s the story?
Where is the evil twin, the doppelganger, the amnesia?
Lol bev! Sorry it wasn’t more exciting!
Jean, Brightside!!! *pushes large crate of Kleenex and wine your way*
Amy, that book sounds*cough-cough* interesting and I do like the cover. Let me know how it is. May be adding it to my tbr.
FLT:
“White. I stared at the nameplate by the doorbell.” Begin Again by Mona Kasten. So far for me, it’s only ok and I’m not overly impressed with the writing. Then again I’m only at 15%.
Ooh. Everyone was floving hard on Begin Again. Now I’m not sure. *scratches head undecidedly* Oh well. No rush. It’s not actually out for a few weeks anyway so I can put the decision off for now 🙂
FLT part two:
“We’ve got a problem,” a harsh voice said through the phone.
The Mafia and His Angel: Part 1 by Lylah James
I finished Chasing Vivi which I enjoyed, but I did find some problems with it. Some issues were just resolved too fast, and other things were fast as well when I think if they had dwelled, they would have been far better. However, the romance was nice and slow and the emotions felt real as far as how they fell in love.
*giggles*
Jan said “hard on”. 😉
🙄
Oops.
