Tessa, Angelina filed for divorce! I swear this will be all the mags will talk about for months! I think it’s sad, I hated them together at first, but grew to like them and I thought for sure they’d make it. They seemed to be such a power couple raising all those kids, doing worldly things, and A list actors

I know it probably sounds ridiculous, but I love seeing William and Kate with their two adorable kids. 😀

Ok for all you pumpkin lovers (and haters ;)) we had pumpkin pasta for supper tonight! And even the haters will like this because it tastes like homemade Alfredo, except there’s pumpkin, so it’s festive and you get your veggies all in one! We had rotisserie chicken on the side.

Okay, Secret Sins is working me over. I love the writing and I want to cry for Margie since she is trying so hard not to feel anything herself but I can’t cry yet because I just KNOW there is a train wreck coming and all I can do is brace myself for it and save my emotional energy for the impact of it when it happens.

Did I already say I love the writing? Well, I’m saying it again. The author has one tool in her writing toolbox…and it’s a freaking hammer.

I’ve read a couple of the IAD books, MichelleS!! I LOVED the Valkyrie. 😀

One of the scenes that stands out is when she is sitting at an outdoor cafe (I think that’s where it was?) and the guy starts to freak the freak out and is smacking cars and tossing tables, and she is thinking “I feel bad for whoever he is looking for”…then she realizes it’s HER (because she is his mate). LOL!!!!

Twilight snuggles?? Count me in.
Yessss….tent scene….aaaahhh…Edward is extra swoony in that.

I actually haven’t read Immortals After Dark. I can’t seem to get into PNR despite my over the top love for Twilight. But will have to try it sometime.

Ohhh…Don’t forget we are supposed to be doing buddy read starting in Oct. for Bronze Horseman series.

Amy – that was Lachlan when he finally found “her” at the cafe in Paris. Remember when he tore up the headboard because he promised he wouldn’t touch her while she “fed”? Love that one too!!!

Is My Lucky one of those books where he sleeps around with everyone and anyone even though he loves the heroine and she doesn’t sleep with anyone else since he left?!?!

Amy, I agree, Secret Sins was a nail biter, even more so because I went into it with prior knowledge of Margie and some assumptions from having read the submission series. My only complaint was I wanted more of an ending.

I started Playboy Pilot. Have to say so far it’s well-written, and the h and H have been open and honest about their thoughts, feelings and baggage. No secrets or lack of communication or mind games. He’s not a broody male. Of course all of these are thus far. Can’t wait to see where this one goes.

I already figured out what was going on, and apparently that was the “twist.” But it wasn’t shocking (for me, at least) and compared to the previous emotions the story stirred up, it was all so anticlimactic and wrapped up WAY too quickly. I thought I still had a good 35% to go, so I’m sitting here rubbing my hands together and just waiting for the train wreck, but the rest of it is just ads for other books and the first few chapters of Beg, which I’ve already read dangit! Now I just feel like I’ve been hoodwinked! Okay, I’m done ranting. *crosses arms and sits back*

Im listening to my first audio book and its weird. Its The Muse, my RL book club book and the narrator is doing all the accents. It feels a bit like my imagination is not required.

I dont like those books either Jen. The most recent biker book I read the H had to go and hook up with ‘club pussy’ to get his head on straight after every time he was with the h. *Gags*
I spent half the book itching to nut punch someone!!

Okay, back to talking Twilight (as I could ramble on forever about that) …my favorite book is New Moon (book 2). The beginning part in the woods (heart-wrenching)…then the end in Italy (I couldn’t read it fast enough).

Don’t you wish we could wipe our brains clean and be able to go back to re-read all our faves for the very first time again?

I’m not sure I could take Thoughtless again. I’m so lame that I started crying other day when I accidentally clicked on “my quotes” on GR. I can’t even read QUOTES from Thoughtless without crying!!!!

Well – Finished Inarticulate, and I was right. It broke my heart. I thought it was beautiful. The Hero was well, swooooon, just swoooooon!!! And now I just one-clicked Ruin by Clarissa Wild. Anyone read that one yet? I think I’m actually going to read Author Anonymous before Ruin…but just wondered if anyone had anything to offer to sway my decision on reading order, LOL

I’m liking these new shelves. It’s going to make it much easier to narrow down my choices!

Jean…don't let my tantrum sway you from Secret Sins. It really was good but I think I just have a warped craving for train wrecks. Margie first showed up in Control, and SS takes place way before any of the Submission books. Unfortunately, the Submission series doesn't give us any idea how things turned out for Margie after SS, and I'm a little bummed that SS didn't give us more of an epilogue. 😕

I’ve only read one TF book and I wasn’t crazy about it. I was definitely in the minority though. I think it was The Opportunist. I can’t remember why I didn’t like it, but I’d be willing to try her again because she writes more of what I like to read. I have Mud Vein in my TBR, but I might pass on that one.

Is it the same MC’s? Or a continuation with the secondaries?

I want to read Inarticulate next. I’m a Speech Patholgist & have several clients who have selective mutism. Very difficult to live with. Imagine not talking, only when comfortable, which is rarely for some. I hope it’s done well. Usually books with “my area” get me all upset because they play on stereotypes. Like H who stutters. Ugh! Or the H who has Aspergers. Some good ones stand out though. Keeping fingers crossed!

I haven’t read them either, but like Jean says the MCS smell.
