Cold Hearted Rake comes out this month, 27th.

Fabi October 12, 2015 at 6:25 PM

Happy Thanksgiving Maryse and all Canadian friends here.

I’m heading into sci fi territory this week with Children of the Comet which comes out tomorrow. It’s a “new to me” author, so wish me luck. :-)

bev October 12, 2015 at 6:57 PM

Fabi, I read that as children of the corn.

fabi October 12, 2015 at 7:03 PM

Nope, nuh uh, not from me, ever LOL

Amy October 12, 2015 at 7:03 PM

Happy Thanksgiving!!!! :D So do you make similar dishes to the American Thanksgiving or are they quite different?

The blurb for Obscured…whoa!! I’m curious in which direction that one will go. Sounds like it could get kinda naughty. :P

bev October 12, 2015 at 7:14 PM

Thinking about thanksgiving is making me hungry.

Fabi, lol. Never & will never watch it.

Lisa October 12, 2015 at 7:53 PM

Ooooo Vivid sounds good. A bit like Rush which I loved. Looking forward to the novella for Rush tomorrow ….pre-ordered ofcourse.
And Lev is grabbing my attention too.
Grey I enjoyed Wrong too. Funny and sweet, a tiny bit angsty and a bit smutty too. What’s not to like. :)

Jean October 12, 2015 at 8:11 PM

Rush novella! Oooo I missed that somehow….so excited!

Lisa October 12, 2015 at 8:14 PM

Jean it looks like its his POV from after the disasterous work party to his ventures back into the world. Sounds awesome.

Cheryl October 12, 2015 at 8:15 PM

Happy Canadian Thanksgiving- yes I’m curious too about the food.

So many good one’s on this list. I still need to catch up on the Ivy Year’s series- do I need to read them in order??

Of course, Blitz- football star, one-click!! ;)

Cheryl October 12, 2015 at 8:44 PM

I just started Blindsided: Seattle Steelheads Football. So far so good, and he’s a bad-boy football star. :)

bev October 12, 2015 at 8:50 PM

Jean so your a horror fan? I was so nervous cause that’s usually a big no for me. Maybe we should pick another to br this month.

Tonight starting re read of Heaven, Texas. Need it after reading Bird Box & On Jellicoe Road back to back. But 2 great reads back to back so…..

Tessa October 12, 2015 at 9:11 PM

Happy First Thanksgiving! I’ve been lurking, just quiet today. I finished Neanderthal Seeking Human Super cute and made me grin. Then, I remembered the Pierce series that Amy recommended and I for some reason haven’t finished, so now I’m reading Perfect and loving that. That said…

Breaking Him by RK Lilley is now live. *squees* It looks all gut wrenchy!

Lisa October 12, 2015 at 9:20 PM

Ooooo Tessa…I loved Tristan & Danika, I’ll check that one out. Twisty tummy feels!!!

Jean October 12, 2015 at 9:35 PM

Thanks Lisa, that does sound good!

I love horror bev, but haven’t really read anything lately. I remember reading every Stephen King book when they came out.

New RK Lilley book, awesome!

bev October 12, 2015 at 10:16 PM

I can’t stop thinking about Jellicoe Road.
Fabi, stop me from reading these books that make me cry.
Jean, I have never read King and don’t want to. Lol.

fabi October 12, 2015 at 10:35 PM

*pulls Bev back from the brink* whew, that was scary, you almost fell into the latest trend ;-)

fabi October 12, 2015 at 10:42 PM

Tessa Tessa Tessa !!! Have you seen the preview for the new Shadowhunters TV show starting in Jan?

Robyn October 12, 2015 at 11:00 PM

Hi Maryse and everyone!
This looks like a great list! But I have to share a book I just finished and it left me squirly and not being able to stop thinking about it. It’s M Robinsons new book Complicate Me (The Good Ol Boys). It’s full of angst and unrequited love. Our favorite! Alexandra has known these 4 boys basically since birth. As they grow up together her bond with Lucas gets stronger and of course they love each other. They have to deny this love because the rest of the boys and their parents don’t want them together. They go through their trials and tribulations throughout their lives until they finally realize the can’t not be together! I fell in love with Alex and her Boys and can’t wait for the next boy, Jacobs book!

Lisa October 12, 2015 at 11:08 PM

Fabi….. Shadowhunters!!!! Really?? I wonder if we’re going to get it here (down under). The movie was a shocker but good Lord…how I devoured those books.

I probably enjoyed Infernal Devices more actually…nah..both series were amazing.

Jennifer October 12, 2015 at 11:14 PM

@Tessa and @Amy…funny you should mention Pierced by J.C. Mells. I needed a different type of book, came across it yesterday in my TBR list and really liked it! I thought of Amy when I started reading it because I had already bought it when she recommended it here…it’s a different urban fantasy that somehow works, I’m currently reading the second in the series.

bev October 12, 2015 at 11:30 PM

I love Gracie Snow.
“Although Gracie was thirty years old, she had never attended a wild party. She wondered if there would be pornographic movies and bowls of cocaine set out for guests. She was almost certain she disapproved of both, but since she had no actual experience with either one, she thought it only fair to reserve judgment.”

Lisa October 12, 2015 at 11:35 PM

Rush novella just turned up on my Kindle. :)
One advantage of being a few hours ahead.

Amy October 13, 2015 at 12:24 AM

I want that new RK Lilley book BADLY, but I’m waiting for the second one to come out…with the way she ended T&D #2, it would have *killed* me if #3 hadn’t been available already!

Ooooooh Tessa, you’re in for some HOT lovin’ in Perfect. No fade to black there. ;) Broken shower tiles and everything. It made all of that crazy sexual tension of the first two books worth it!!

And yay Jennifer!!! I’m so glad you’re loving the series!! :D You are so right…it has a little bit of everything (shifters, vampires, magic and some really bad men) but it just WORKS. Don’t forget the novella. ;)

Amy October 13, 2015 at 12:26 AM

Robyn, is Complicate Me male POV? It seemed that way from the blurb…

Tessa October 13, 2015 at 1:45 AM

Fabi and Lisa, I’m sooooo wanting to see that. The movie was a major disappointment, but the guy they had for Valentine was pure yummy. Sadly, that one didn’t work. I think it’s really better for a tv series, not a movie.

Amy, one word. YEAH!! Jennifer, we shall be rewarded with broken tiles! YES! :P

And, the book came tonight! *squees* Reap the Wind is now my new precious. :D

Jean October 13, 2015 at 5:54 AM

OMG! I just won a copy of Untamed (Thoughtless #4) from Goodreads! I am freaking out! I never win anything!

fabi October 13, 2015 at 6:09 AM

Congrats Jean, that’s exciting!

Jean October 13, 2015 at 6:26 AM

Thanks fabi! Isn’t it early where you are? 7:25 am here!

fabi October 13, 2015 at 6:35 AM

Yeah, my alarm goes off at 5:30 because I like to snooze it a couple of times before I get up. I am NOT a morning person. LOL

Jean October 13, 2015 at 7:16 AM

Haha fabi! That’s early! Not a morning person either!

bev October 13, 2015 at 7:36 AM

Jean, Congratulations!!
Great way to start the day.

Amy October 13, 2015 at 8:13 AM

Congratulations Jean!!!

A whole book inside Griffin’s head…now THAT is gonna be interesting. ;)

Ela October 13, 2015 at 8:35 AM

*squeeeeeeeeeeeeeing* with Jean!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

bev October 13, 2015 at 8:44 AM

Ladies, have you heard of this?
I’m not going to do it but we should totally do a readathon like small. You know just hear, lol. No lie Id finish one book. Tessa & Michelle …5.
We could snack on French Bread & nutella.

Michelle October 13, 2015 at 8:49 AM

WHOA…I’m very pleasantly surprised by Pure Abandon! I put it down a few days ago because of work, not that it wasn’t very good but the last half was a landslide of emotion and angst and just WOW…absolutely could not put it down! Anyone who liked Arsen this was very close to those feels for me and I LOVED it! I also thought I had it figured out but was wrong about a lot. I loved My Time in the Affair but for those who thought you didn’t get to know both men enough to feel conflicted, Pure Abandon nails it and oh how the ending is a happy heartbreak! Floating in a book fog for sure!

Anne October 13, 2015 at 8:58 AM

Hi guys!! *waves hand* How are you?

I finished The Finn Factor last night and it was a cute read. A 3.5/5 for me.

Started Suite 269 and so far so good :) Its a short book so I should be finished with it today.

Wanted to read the new R.K. Lilley book but like Amy waiting for the second one first. I can’t handle her CH after T&D lol

Oh a new Aleatha Romig book?? One clicking right now! Love her!

Adding Pure Abandon to my TBR list. Thank you Michelle!

Hope you all have a great day! :D

Anne October 13, 2015 at 8:58 AM

Oh and congrats Jean!! That is so nice!

Jean October 13, 2015 at 9:04 AM

Thanks guys! I am thrilled!

Yes Michelle! Pure Abandon was pure perfection!

Wow, everyone is up bright and squirrelly this morning! Happy new book release Tuesday!

Ela October 13, 2015 at 9:10 AM

Heya everyone! I finished the Manwhore series and I really liked it but as much as I love smut these books just had a tad bit too much sexy times for me AND THAT IS A TOTAL SHOCKER. I’m moving on to Ivory by Hadley Quinn!

Ela October 13, 2015 at 9:11 AM

Well technically it’s Tuesday, what I meant is the list is a Monday list….

Tessa October 13, 2015 at 9:27 AM

Yeah! Congratulations Jean! I didn’t realize it was Griffin’s story. Oh, man. Talk about wanting that one! I adored Griffin.

Bev, the readathon looks awesome. I can’t do full 24 hours, but heck I can dedicate myself to reading a lot. :P

Kyle October 13, 2015 at 10:36 AM

Did anyone else read Enough? I really loved it! It was an easy read but there were very cringe-worthy moments between her and her husband..

Robyn October 13, 2015 at 12:25 PM

Amy, Complicate Me is told from the male and female point of view. Definitely worth reading!!

Rebecca October 13, 2015 at 12:38 PM

You need Breaking Him by R.K. Lilley on this list!!!!

Michelle October 13, 2015 at 1:15 PM

It really was soooooo good Jean! For those thinking about trying Pure Abandon, do not look at the next book in the series coming out or that will spoil the book BIG time! You need the shocker of her choices for it to hit home.

I just got to 200 books read this year with that one, which is a little slow for me and now with this 5* rating, I have 21 5* books out of that group – definitely was a good year for books because I’m stingy with my ratings!

I really want to stay in my book fog but too many books, too little time. Starting Sunshine by Robin McKinley now and listening to the second Night Prowler book.

Jean October 13, 2015 at 1:26 PM

Can’t wait for the second book Michelle! Although I was happy at the end, I was also somewhat heartbroken so I need more to that story! 200 books! That’s awesome! I’m only at like 145…way behind for me!

Maryse October 13, 2015 at 1:35 PM

YAY JEAN!!!! I can’t WAIT for Griffin!!!!

Maryse October 13, 2015 at 2:17 PM

Amy! Yes the usual in Canada for Thanksgiving is the whole turkey deliciousness!!!

Cheryl October 13, 2015 at 7:22 PM

Congrats Jean!!! I can’t wait for that book.

I’m gonna wait for book 2 before starting Breaking Him. Can’t stand CH or waiting…

Lisa October 13, 2015 at 10:04 PM

Congratulations Jean. Ive got that book pre-ordered. Let us know what ya think.

I’m with you Cheryl. I downloaded Breaking Him but I’ll squirrel it away until the next one us out. I’m hopeless with CH’s.

Sam October 14, 2015 at 8:23 PM

I highly recommend TheGirl With All the Gifts by MR Carey! It was such an interesting POV!

Emily October 24, 2015 at 7:55 PM

I just finished Dirty English and highly recommend it. I know this gets tossed around a lot, but it really had a Beautiful Disaster feel to it. I’ve been in a funk with this genre — tired of diluted versions of what initally turned me on to it (BD, Fifty Shades, etc.) — but this one really satisfied.
