Good morning and Happy Monday to everyone! Today’s early bird releases are ready and I’ll be adding more to it if any new surprises come our way. 😀 Did I miss one? Let me know.
Three things:
1.) I dunno what was up with me this weekend, but while I was productive and got lots of stuff done (mostly Christmasy stuff, and consolidating stuff, playing with electronics and whatnot), but I didn’t cook a thing. I had no motivation to cook. I ALWAYS cook. I LOVE cooking. Now what am I gonna eat for the week? I depend on my “prep” for meals. *sigh* Guess I’ll pick up a rotisserie chicken and some frozen veggies for the next couple of days. I think Thanksgiving dinner prep blew my cooking fuse. 😉 *snort*
2.) BUT!! I did write a review of a book that I LOVED like crazy. I’m pretty sure it’s making the top of my best of 2019 list. And yes, it’s from 2018 but still. I just devoured it so it counts. 😉 All of you that recommended it? YOU. WERE. SO. RIGHT!!! ➔ Book Review – The Great Alone by Kristin Hannah
Becky: This was one of my most favorite books ever!
Lori: This was definitely my favorite!!
Michelle: Just bought the audible version. Can’t wait!
3.) I’ve decided on a change for decorating my tree next year. I’m going to do an all white (and clear) ornaments and decorations theme. So it will look like snow and crystals on my green tree. I’ve done gold for the last three years, and while I love it (so warm and cozy), it’s time for a change. I’m going to be scoping out the Christmas decorations clearances, so if you know of any that start in the next few weeks (online or in stores), please let me know. *rubs hands together with glee*

1. I deleted my GR account. It felt….good? 🤷♀️
2. I really want to get back to reading next year. It is a resolution. Not going to worry about how many or what book, just leg the mood take me. Pen and paper to keep track.
3. Not sure if I’m doing a best of list. I said that last year, but still read more. Only read 20 books this year and just have felt disconnected from them.
An extra cause I have to throw this in, been on repeat. A little HIP and some coffee to get me moving. I dont usually share girl groups, but let’s all be a little badass today.*whimpers* I want to go back to sleep.

When does our show start, bev? I’m excited. Is it via an app? I wonder if I can watch it on my TV via Roku or something?
On the 11th. Well, that is when it will be on Viki but they are going to re sub it. Yes, I believe you can use the Viki app on Roku or with….however that works. Also, it is an old show so it is free.

Okay when I get home tonight I’m going to download it to my Roku. YAY US!!!
P.S. I’m glad you didn’t leave us. I’m rarely if ever on Goodreads either.
I’m never on good reads, just depend on Maryse. She does such a great job. I always write down every book I read throughout the year and make notations if I went crazy over it. Now if I could just figure out how to organize my kindle.
Awww JulieO!!! You just made my day.
My Kindle is kind of a mess, but I have a weekly TO DO list (chores, purchases, blog ideas etc), and I’ve just started adding my daily updated TBR list to it so whenever a new book recommendation gives me a serious jolt, I now add it to my weekly lists.
This has been helping, since they keep getting moved down in my Kindle evert time I get a new book.
Good for you Bev. If you’re not having fun, what’s the point?!
Just glad you still hang out with us!!!
1. The baby pulled this thing outa his diaper last night. I knew he was messing w/it, but I forgot to correct it before I fell asleep. Then the middle woke me up wailing he couldn’t sleep alone (Dad was home over the weekend). I go back to sleep and wake up wet/disoriented. And discover in my changing of things, that the mattress protector was never put on.
2. I freshen ourselves and make a bed in the middle’s room since he won’t be using it and then, then the baby vomits in my hands, we run to the toilet (we made it) I clean up again and I kissed him (crap).
3. I’m tired and I can’t get up.
ooooooohhhhhhhh nooooooo Tasha. That sounds like one helluva night.
So what was “this thing” he pulled out? I probably shouldn’t ask ’cause it obviously grossed him out. 😉
*hugs Tasha*
*sprays Lysol just in case*
Oh, his dingy. His body part. Boys don’t leave em alone starting at birth, in my experience. The middle used to do it too. Drives me insane. It doesn’t gross him out, he does it cuz he can’t seem to help himself. 😂🤣 Just pops it right out the top.
*gahhhhhhhh*
*thud*
*dies laughing*
P.S. I was thinking poop. My mind totally went in a different direction there…
I thought since I mentioned the puke. That could’ve been worse. The puke was so random. Like karma, a comes in 3s bad moment or something supernatural. LOL
Oh Tasha, bless your heart! Just when I think I miss my kiddos being little, I read something like this and it reminds me just how hard it was at times….rewarding…but tough. Sending you huge hugs!!
Ha ha ha. I’m laughing about this funny discussion, not at you Tasha. I sincerely sympathise with you! Life can be chaotic when you have kids. Eek!
My mind went to poop first too, but then I remembered. I have three sons. Oh yeah, boys like exploring their bits, don’t they? LOL.
*snort*
I had NO idea… silly boys!
Joann’s and Michael’s Christmas stuff is already 60% off and already looks picked over, so I would go this week.
OMG!!!! Thank you for telling me!!!
Happy Monday! So excited, I just found a new release by Odette Stone (she wrote The Penalty Box). It is involves a character from this book and is a Mafia romance. It is called Dark Russian Angel. Free on KU. Too bad I have to clean the litter box and clean the bathroom today.
Ooh I might try this. I liked her Puck Me Secretly. (It’s better than it sounds). Thanks K.
Oh!!! I’ll need to look it up. How did I miss that?
I finished Perfect Strangers over the weekend and WOW, just WOW! That may be my best book of the year. That ending was everything. I had to go back and reread some parts just to make sure what I was reading was correct. It’s refreshing to be surprised and taken in the opposite direction. It’s been a long time since a book has hit me in the heart like that.
Now I’m reading The Wild by K Webster. A big ta-do was made about this taboo book awhile ago. I think Amazon banned it. Anywho’s I found it on another site and decided to see how taboo it really was. Let’s just say it goes there. Reminds me of Varian Krylov’s Lost. If you liked The Wild you’ll love Lost. Since I’ve read Lost, I wasn’t as shocked.
Did everyone get their free ebook from Jewel E Ann this weekend? She was playing Santa and gifted peeps with a free ebook of hers that they haven’t read. I got Releasing Me since it was the only book of hers I haven’t read. Love when authors are so generous.
Lastly, I’m going to see Killing Sarai tomorrow and I’m so excited. They better have no screwed this movie up. I love that series. I’ll let you guys know how it is. Has anyone seen it yet?
Robyn, let me know how Killing Sarai was. I wonder if it’s at my movie theater. I’m gonna look it up right now.
It should be. I’ll let you know how it is. I’m going tomorrow or Thursday!
1. Maryse! I just sent you my year end list!
2. I spent half the day making homemade caramel and the rest of the day avoiding cutting it because I’m scared I’m going to mangle it!
3. I’m soooo making myself a cosmo right now.
Yum. I love caramel. Home made has gotta be the best kind. You’re making me hungryyyyyyyy for sugar.
*passes R a large cosmo*
I remembered the “warm your knife” trick and I didn’t mangle it to badly! It turned out yummy!
Caramel is my favorite sweet. I used to just get the containers of it and eat it off a spoon.
SO BAD but sooooooo gooooooooood!!!
Well, you’re getting some. And I realized *after* I had it all ready to go that you can”t eat it so I totally understand if you want to pawn it off on your boyfriend! 😆😬
You’ll make his DAY!!!!!!
I’ll nibble on a piece. 😉 How could I possibly resist?
YAY!!! I have it!! Thank you R. It’s going up this week. As well as Jan’s!!!
*happy dance*
*sneaky sips R’s Cosmo*
Maryse, I bought the face scrub you recommended. I love it! My face feels so soft and clean. The other stuff I was using was crazy expensive. My husband used it and loves it too!!!!!! Thank you!!!!!!!
YAY LISA!!!! OMG I’m so thrilled you guys are loving it too. The ingredients are INCREDIBLE, it’s not expensive at all, and I love that clean earthy smell. My face just glows after it. No bad skin reactions, no dry pulling, just happy and clean.
