I just finished Unlit Star by Lindy Zart – did it wreck my heart – YES IT DID. This one need to be on top of the list “what to read after Me before You”. It was so emotional, it hurt so much and it was so beautiful. I cried and I swore and I nearly threw my kindle across the room. This one has everything I’m looking for in a book, and I honestly don’t know what to read next. I’m not in the mood for anything. Picked up a magazine tonight and I haven’t read one in ages. You ladies NEED to read this one, please….

Maryse you’re not a cranky pants. I’m totally with you on #3 up there – One Week To Score. Your brother’s best friend is ‘taboo’? Since when? I’m sure that’s how many couples have actually met LOL. Hey, my grandmother met my grandfather when her brother brought home his best mate from the trenches in WW1. And the rest is history. Hey, that makes me sound really old. Wait. I am really old LOL. OK, yeah, I’m in my second half-century. But I still love my romances and PNRs and sci-fi as much as ever. Maybe even more now my kids are grown up and I’ve got more reading time 😀

Jan, the Hangmen are slightly darker, maybe a little more…violent. Very broken H/h who just need each other so much…definitely a interesting, twisted ride. Very excited to read the Prophet’s story….
Amy – BIG HUG!!! The patients are always the best part. At one of my clinicals, I went to the bathroom and kind of girl cried a bit and gave myself pep talks because I had the worst supervisor ever. You learn something from every experience though. You got this.
Still have money to burn, so I will look through Amy’s bargain basement deals and today’s new release list wen Maryse puts it up.
I DID finish Of Another Dimension. Total sex-fest. That was pretty much the entire plot. Alien sex fest. And some weird creatures. And a few cute alien pet names for her. Aaaaand that about sums it up.
So I am ready for some substance. But I think I need PNR or fantasy (urban or epic, I don’t care at this point) I just need a plot and some good writing. I think. We’ll see.
Jan – MC romance – have you read Lights of Peril series? Book one is only 99 cents and I really liked it. When I remember names and plots that’s a good sign. I love a good MC romance and I loved Gilley and Wylde and Sheehan. It’s not as dark as Sheehan.

Bev – so what’s your take on Arcana Chronicles? I have been meaning to read it for so so long. Does it eventually suck you in? I adored her IAD series and even her historical romances (did you ever read those? you’d love them I am sure of it). The last couple of IAD series didn’t hit the mark for me. Maybe that’s why I am avoiding this series?
Fabi – have you read “Broken” by N Haken? It’s supposed to be a “profoundly beautiful” m/m romance with almost all 5 star reviews. You are my fellow m/m reader and all the best ones have come from you, so I thought I’d ask before I grab this one (It’s cheap and free for KU). I am looking for my next book and still have kindle money to burn.

MichelleS, “Broken” by N Haken is #3 on top of my tbr. Preceded only by Fast Connection by Hassell and Erickson, which I’m reading right now, and Wolfsong by T.J. Klune. I may even flip Broken and Wolfsong. Not sure yet.

Arcana. I read the two back to back and want to continue on, sometime. But I wish they’d speed up the story a bit. The last part of the second one was setting up a triangle and I was ready to move on.
I just checked out Wolfsong. Right up my alley! I can’t do R.Lee Smith length right now, but, yes, agreed she is fantastic! Cyberlove – those are all military guys right? That’s one genre that hasn’t ever hooked me. I will read a few of these samples today and see what grabs me. Thanks guys.

I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard in my life. Sometimes I was laughing too hard to even play a card. Another time I had a mouthful of drink and I choked laughed so hard I thought they’d have to call the paramedics for me.

I’m guessing you’ve read Dannika Dark’s Seven series? If not, in your hunt for well-written PNR, it’s a suggestion. The final book only came out in April (and it was terrific). One of my fav PNR series.
