BREAKING NEWS UPDATE!!! TODAY IS PRIME DAY!!!! Which means all Amazon Prime members can get in on these awesome deals. I’ve already for two that I want BAD, and I haven’t even scrolled yet. :P

<— THIS ONE JUST WENT LIVE TOO!! Deep Redemption (Hades Hangmen Book 4) by TILLIE COLE ALERT!! (thanks Aixa!!) :D

Lots of earlybirds today (so far, 22 of ‘em and I’m still searching) and quite a few famous sports stars to enjoy! Like that one there to the left (which is the latest by one of our original indie-favorites, Nicole Williams!!!!) :D

Plus I highlighted a few of tomorrow’s pre-orders (it’s going to be a big list, but there are some that are already making some of us squee!). One from Sylvia Day, Alice Clayton, Elizabeth Hunter and one from Sarina Bowen, just to point out a few. ;)

Look what else I found:

  1. Stealing Home by Nicole Williams <— LIVE!!! BASEBALL STAR ALERT! SHE’S THE TEAM’S NEW TRAINER…Being the only woman working for a professional baseball team isn’t easy. As the San Diego Shock’s newest athletic trainer, Allie knows all about long hours, endless travel, and warding off players’ advances. Given she’s already the subject of a handful of rumors about how “lucky” she was to have earned such a coveted position, she can’t so much as flutter an eyelash a player’s way if she wants to be taken seriously. But number eleven is doing more than fluttering eyelashes Allie’s way…
  2. Filthy English by Ilsa Madden-Mills <— LIVE!!! A DRUNKEN ONE NIGHT STAND BEFORE COLLEGE STARTS AGAIN, BUT… “Once back at Whitman together, they endeavor to pretend they never had their night of unbridled passion in London. But that’s damn hard to do when you live in the same house…”
  3. One Week to Score (Tall, Dark, and Texan) by Kate Meader <— LIVE!!! HER BROTHER’S BEST FRIEND ALERT! The blurb says “…the taboo they’re breaking” but I don’t consider a sibling’s best friend “taboo” (unless there’s a secret taboo thingie that will be discovered along the way – ohhh maybe that’s it!). Okay that’s all. I just wanted to make that known. Taboo love stories can be so much fun, but “best friends” don’t fall into that category for me. ;) Oh boy… I think I’m a cranky pants today. I need more coffee. *snort* :P
  4. Wrong Bed Reunion (Most Likely To) by Candy Sloane <— LIVE!!!
  5. His Fantasy Bride (Things To Do Before You Die) by Nina Croft <— LIVE!!!
  6. Fighting the Dark by Kassidy Carter <— LIVE!!! RECLUSIVE AUTHOR DESPERATE TO GET AWAY FROM ABUSIVE FATHER & SHE’S BEING WATCHED…Mason Carlson hasn’t had the easiest life. Growing up with a tyrant for a father and a brother just as demented, he struggles to find his place within the family. He was given one assignment. Watch her and wait for further instructions. Mason never expected to become attached to her. He never expected that her screams would cause him such pain...”
  7. Collecting Scars by Tee Smith <— LIVE!!KIDNAPPED ALERT! “One night walking home from work, Asha is snatched off the street and held captive by a mysterious stranger. She is forced to re-evaluate her life…”
  8. Irresistible (The Bloodlust Chronicles Book 1) by Tara Vasser <— LIVE!!! An archeologist and a vampire alert!
  9. Playing By Her Rules (Sydney Smoke Rugby Series) by Amy Andrews <— LIVE!!! HER RUGBY STAR EX ALERT! “When style columnist Matilda Kent accidentally lets slip that she was once involved with the captain of the Sydney Smoke rugby team, she suddenly finds herself elevated to the position she’s always wanted – feature writer. The catch? She’s stuck doing a six-part series on her ex…”
  10. White (Black Book 3) by T.L Smith <— LIVE!!! And the blurb gives me no clue at all…
  11. Every Breath You Take by Christina Phillips <— LIVE!!! HIS DEAD BROTHER’S FIANCE ALERT!…when Piper, the girl his brother should’ve married, reappears in his life and offers him the one thing he’s always craved – one steamy night in her arms – he can’t resist. Piper’s the only woman he’s ever wanted…
  12. Hard Luck: A Sports Romance by Liv Morris <— LIVE!!! BASEBALL STAR WITH A STROKE OF BAD LUCK ALERT! “Then I slept with the wrong woman, And she cursed me. Literally. Turned my game upside-down, In the ballpark…and bedroom. Now my team is paying the price. My last hope is Cali Jones, A smart and sexy physician assistant. Her Midas touch may fix my swing…”
  13. Club X Complete Series by K.M. Scott <— LIVE!! SERIES BUNDLE w/ a new story addition alert!! “For the first time, the four novels of the Club X series are together with a brand new Club X book, Acceptance. Get to know the three hottest brothers around and see why readers love them!”
  14. Fast Connection (Cyberlove Book 2) by Megan Erickson & Santino Hassell <— LIVE!!! Except Luke’s rules exist for a reason, and when I test his limits, things get complicated. Maybe too complicated.”
  15. Dirty Stolen Forever (Green County Book 2) by Nazarea Andrews <— LIVE!! M/M ROMANCE ALERT!
  16. Trade It All (The Barrington Billionaires Book 3) by Ruth Cardello <— LIVE!!! HIS SISTER’S BEST FRIEND ALERT! “Only one woman has ever been able to turn him inside out: Willa Chambers, his sister’s best friend. Forbidden. Scandalous. Unforgettable. They’ve spent the last ten years trying to forget one night.
  17. Wild Ride (Wind Dragons Motorcycle Club) by Chantal Fernando <— LIVE!!! BIKER PREZ & A SINGLE MOM ALERT! “…when she realizes she wants to be more to him than just a club groupie, she has to take things a bit slow. 19. Live and Let Psi by D.R. Rosensteel <— LIVE!!! “Rinnie Noelle would rather kick some creepy villain butt than go on a date. As a Psi Fighter trained in the Mental Arts, she can’t be distracted by emotion. Her nemesis, Nicolaitan, is manipulating students from her school…”

Liz ends up being smart, charming, and sexy, and he can’t resist her. Loving the bully books…definitely adding Sia …not mention the new Alice Clayton..looks to be a good week…

Maryse July 11, 2016 at 10:23 AM

YAY DG!!! So do we call you Donya now, or are we still DG’ing you? ;)

DG July 11, 2016 at 11:10 AM

Either…which ever you prefer…seems like my friends ‘create’ all kinds of nicknames around my name and/or initials…

DG July 11, 2016 at 11:12 AM

OMG!!! That is the first time since the other day that it would let me post under DG! The blog gremlins are at work again!

Maryse July 11, 2016 at 11:24 AM

LOL!!!!!! I wonder if I have mental magic? :P

DG July 11, 2016 at 11:30 AM

YES! That’s it Maryse… You have mental magic!!!

R. Renee July 11, 2016 at 11:50 AM

Welcome back DG!

Maryse July 11, 2016 at 12:13 PM

It worked for R. too!! ;)

DG July 11, 2016 at 12:48 PM

Yay R!!! Didn’t quite feel like ‘me’ before! Hope the rest of the retreat was a success!

R. Renee July 11, 2016 at 12:53 PM

That’s exactly what I said!!!

It was awesome and I didn’t even break Fabi! But I may never eat or drink again.

Theresa July 11, 2016 at 12:55 PM

Marsye, Samatha Towle, The Ending I Want is .99

DG July 11, 2016 at 1:38 PM

LOVE, loved, LOVED Samantha Towles The Ending I Want! Awesome read!

DG July 11, 2016 at 1:40 PM

Glad to hear Fabi remained in one piece…makes the mind wander what all went down…the unscripted version…

R. Renee July 11, 2016 at 1:41 PM

Guess you’ll just have to come next year and find out! ;)

Grey July 11, 2016 at 2:11 PM

So Maryse, how is Forget…

I want to know how Amy’s first day is going? *pacing like a mama on her baby’s first day of kindergarten over here*

Maryse July 11, 2016 at 2:49 PM

Grey! I liked it a lot and I’m reviewing it now… It didn’t freak me out so much, but maybe it’s cause I know there’s a book #2 and so I get to jump in. :D

Fabi July 11, 2016 at 2:56 PM

The writer’s retreat was unforgettable. Robin is awesome!!! OMG – so much fun. Laughing uproariously while discussing plots and scenes. Drinking like fish and eating like pigs. I can’t even express how much fun it was. Go look at a few of the pics on Robin’s website.

I’m back home now and I plan on spending the last day of my vacation snuggled up with Fast Connection. squeeeeeeeeeeee. This is a star writing team!

Pia July 11, 2016 at 3:09 PM

One-clicked Fast Connection since I loved the first book – thanks to Fabi :-)

I just finished Unlit Star by Lindy Zart – did it wreck my heart – YES IT DID. This one need to be on top of the list “what to read after Me before You”. It was so emotional, it hurt so much and it was so beautiful. I cried and I swore and I nearly threw my kindle across the room. This one has everything I’m looking for in a book, and I honestly don’t know what to read next. I’m not in the mood for anything. Picked up a magazine tonight and I haven’t read one in ages. You ladies NEED to read this one, please….

Grey July 11, 2016 at 3:20 PM

I’m trying to finish writing my chapter then I will get to gorge on the fabulosity that is Blur… my reward. We will get to BR this one too Maryse :)

Tick tock Amy… gah, isn’t it time for you to be home yet… *peeking out the curtains waiting for the school bus*

R. Renee July 11, 2016 at 3:37 PM

I’m so glad you had fun Fabi!! We have to figure out how to play Cards Against Humanity over the blog! Errrr…or maybe not.

Erica left her homemade ice cream so I’m making Amy a welcome home banana split. I have a feeling she’ll need it!

Tessa July 11, 2016 at 3:58 PM

Cards Against Humanity over the blog? That would be an interesting read. At least, until Maryse banned us all for being just a little too twisted.

R. Renee July 11, 2016 at 4:03 PM

Well if Fabi could tone it down a little bit…hmmm…let’s just say she won! ;)

bev July 11, 2016 at 5:30 PM

Almost reading time–can’t wait. Almost.
Grey, she is west coast, still pretty early here.

Jan July 11, 2016 at 6:09 PM

Ah DG, that’s you! I wasn’t sure who donya was :-)

Welp, I’m a sucker for a good sports romance, so I guess I’ll check out Stealing Home. Haven’t read any Nicole Williams before but I’ll try a sample.

Maryse you’re not a cranky pants. I’m totally with you on #3 up there – One Week To Score. Your brother’s best friend is ‘taboo’? Since when? I’m sure that’s how many couples have actually met LOL. Hey, my grandmother met my grandfather when her brother brought home his best mate from the trenches in WW1. And the rest is history. Hey, that makes me sound really old. Wait. I am really old LOL. OK, yeah, I’m in my second half-century. But I still love my romances and PNRs and sci-fi as much as ever. Maybe even more now my kids are grown up and I’ve got more reading time :-D

Aixa Ferrer July 11, 2016 at 6:16 PM

Maryse, it looks like you might have missed Deep Redemption by Tillie Cole. It went live yesterday. Yay!

bev July 11, 2016 at 6:27 PM

Fabi, is that a picture of you?
Looks like you all had a great time.

bev July 11, 2016 at 6:30 PM

Uh-oh. Maryse is cranky.

Ela July 11, 2016 at 7:56 PM

How is everybody? Besides a cranky Maryse? I’m trying to read but it’s hard going with the woozy and PT…

bev July 11, 2016 at 8:22 PM

Almost done with Endless Night. Not sure if want to go on to Dirty #3 in my tbr or take a book detour.

DG July 11, 2016 at 8:49 PM

Yes, it’s me..Jan! The name gremlin was running rampant around here…

Cheryl July 11, 2016 at 8:58 PM

Several up there I’m interested in and I’m also wondering if Edge of Glory is a standalone or the first book in a series.

Amy, how was your first day? Here have some cookies and wine. :)

Tessa July 11, 2016 at 9:41 PM

Cheryl, thank you for bringing that one to my attention. I just pre-ordered it.

Sorry I’ve been quiet. Just hectic with pool and going to a theme park with little dude. So I’ve been lurking. :)

Tessa July 11, 2016 at 9:44 PM

*crosses fingers about Amy’s first day* Since no response yet and all. :P

Jan July 11, 2016 at 10:14 PM

Tillie Cole’s Deep Redemption sounds pretty wild! Here’s the blurb warning:
Contemporary Dark Romance. Contains explicit sexual situations, violence, sensitive and taboo subjects, offensive language, and mature topics. Recommended for age 18 years and up.

Eeeeeek!!! Could it be any more sca-ee??? I don’t think I’m going there. I’m just too weak LOL.

DG July 11, 2016 at 11:04 PM

OMG…Deep Redemption is LIVE …woohoo! Tillie Cole at her finest…Love this MC series…unique plot and definitely unique characters…Not for the faint of heart!

DG July 11, 2016 at 11:06 PM

Jan…have you read the others in this series? I definite must to get the background…

Amy July 11, 2016 at 11:20 PM

*wimpers and cuddles into Grey*

Fabi July 11, 2016 at 11:24 PM

Amy! You have us all worried. *softly whispers* tough day?

Amy July 11, 2016 at 11:33 PM

*sticks bottom lip out and nods head*

Let’s just say…first day is over, and I’m glad. It has to get better from here. It WILL get better from here. But I loved working with the patients. :D

Teri W July 11, 2016 at 11:47 PM

Can’t wait to read Fast Connection. Santino Hassell is a seriously good writer. Like Stephen Kings league good. His Five Boroughs series is fantastic.

Thanks, Cheryl. I will GLADLY take that chocolate and glass (or four *snort*) of wine. :P

Jan July 12, 2016 at 12:53 AM

No DG I haven’t read the other Hades Hangmen… yet. Looks a bit scary for me. Don’t know whether I’m brave enough. I do love a good MC romance, but more along the lines of Lauren Gilley (my new fav) or Jo Wylde. (or Kristen Ashley, duh). These ones might be a bit dark for moi. *peeps out of blankie fort with wide eyes. Whimpers and cuddles into Amy and Grey* Can I join in your group cuddle? (and chocky and wine)

DG July 12, 2016 at 4:13 AM

Jan, the Hangmen are slightly darker, maybe a little more…violent. Very broken H/h who just need each other so much…definitely a interesting, twisted ride. Very excited to read the Prophet’s story….

MichelleS July 12, 2016 at 8:17 AM

Amy – BIG HUG!!! The patients are always the best part. At one of my clinicals, I went to the bathroom and kind of girl cried a bit and gave myself pep talks because I had the worst supervisor ever. You learn something from every experience though. You got this.

Still have money to burn, so I will look through Amy’s bargain basement deals and today’s new release list wen Maryse puts it up.

MichelleS July 12, 2016 at 8:20 AM

I DID finish Of Another Dimension. Total sex-fest. That was pretty much the entire plot. Alien sex fest. And some weird creatures. And a few cute alien pet names for her. Aaaaand that about sums it up.

So I am ready for some substance. But I think I need PNR or fantasy (urban or epic, I don’t care at this point) I just need a plot and some good writing. I think. We’ll see.

MichelleS July 12, 2016 at 8:24 AM

Jan – MC romance – have you read Lights of Peril series? Book one is only 99 cents and I really liked it. When I remember names and plots that’s a good sign. I love a good MC romance and I loved Gilley and Wylde and Sheehan. It’s not as dark as Sheehan.

bev July 12, 2016 at 8:24 AM

Good Morning, ladies.

Finished Endless Knight. Still haven’t decided if straight to Dirty or not.
Deciding whether I’m sad or relieved that I will miss most of Prime Day, lol.

bev July 12, 2016 at 8:25 AM

MichelleS, I posted in the other list, but An Ember in the Ashes was on sale yesterday for 1.99. I think I payed 10 for it.

MichelleS July 12, 2016 at 8:36 AM

An Ember in the Ashes… let me go check it out… okay. It’s now 2.99. Still worth it? It sounds like it is. You never steer me wrong, so I am going for it. I did say fantasy after all.

MichelleS July 12, 2016 at 8:37 AM

Young Adult? That’s not teen, right? So there may be some hanky panky? Or at least some adult level writing?

MichelleS July 12, 2016 at 8:41 AM

Bev – so what’s your take on Arcana Chronicles? I have been meaning to read it for so so long. Does it eventually suck you in? I adored her IAD series and even her historical romances (did you ever read those? you’d love them I am sure of it). The last couple of IAD series didn’t hit the mark for me. Maybe that’s why I am avoiding this series?

MichelleS July 12, 2016 at 9:00 AM

Fabi – have you read “Broken” by N Haken? It’s supposed to be a “profoundly beautiful” m/m romance with almost all 5 star reviews. You are my fellow m/m reader and all the best ones have come from you, so I thought I’d ask before I grab this one (It’s cheap and free for KU). I am looking for my next book and still have kindle money to burn.

Cheryl July 12, 2016 at 9:03 AM

Going to start Edge of Glory. Crossing fingers this is a standalone.

Also saw this, if you’re in to coloring and proceeds go to charity.

Fabi July 12, 2016 at 9:23 AM

MichelleS, “Broken” by N Haken is #3 on top of my tbr. Preceded only by Fast Connection by Hassell and Erickson, which I’m reading right now, and Wolfsong by T.J. Klune. I may even flip Broken and Wolfsong. Not sure yet.

I am definitely headed into another M/M reading marathon. :-)

If you’re looking for PNR you might take a peek at Wolfsong. Also, don’t forget R. Lee Smith. All of hers are pretty epic.

bev July 12, 2016 at 9:35 AM

It’s worth it. And probably always was, lol.
Arcana. I read the two back to back and want to continue on, sometime. But I wish they’d speed up the story a bit. The last part of the second one was setting up a triangle and I was ready to move on.

MichelleS July 12, 2016 at 10:02 AM

I just checked out Wolfsong. Right up my alley! I can’t do R.Lee Smith length right now, but, yes, agreed she is fantastic! Cyberlove – those are all military guys right? That’s one genre that hasn’t ever hooked me. I will read a few of these samples today and see what grabs me. Thanks guys.

Maryse July 12, 2016 at 12:09 PM

Tessa. I ALWAYS win Cards Against Humanity. All my bann-able depravity comes out during those games. Tee hee!!! :P

R. Renee July 12, 2016 at 12:10 PM

I soooooo need to see a Maryse / Fabi showdown. I was so sure I’d rock it but I was no match for Fabi.

Maryse July 12, 2016 at 12:14 PM

Pia!! I’ve loved past books by this author and this one is on my TBR list!! I’m going to add it to the Me Before You list. :D !!!!

Fabi July 12, 2016 at 12:16 PM

I don’t think I’ve ever laughed so hard in my life. Sometimes I was laughing too hard to even play a card. Another time I had a mouthful of drink and I choked laughed so hard I thought they’d have to call the paramedics for me.

What an incredibly fun time! I’m already counting down to the next one.

Fabi July 12, 2016 at 12:19 PM

Save up your airline miles ladies. Between the fun times and the book talk, Robin’s writer retreat is not to be missed.

R. Renee July 12, 2016 at 12:22 PM

Yes!! Come to the dark side!! Thinking a winter one is up next as none of us can wait until summer! And I NEED a Maryse / Fabi showdown like I need air!

Jan July 12, 2016 at 6:41 PM

Thanks for the MC rec Michelle S. Hangmen might be a bit much for me but I’ll have a look at Lights of Peril. Don’t know that series.

I’m guessing you’ve read Dannika Dark’s Seven series? If not, in your hunt for well-written PNR, it’s a suggestion. The final book only came out in April (and it was terrific). One of my fav PNR series.
