Good morning and Happy Monday everyone!! Some great early birds just went live and I’m working on this list as we speak (so checking back). It’s not done yet. 😉
But first… THREE THINGS:
1.) I’ve been putting fresh sunflowers on my new dining room set and I am IN LOVE with that look. Bright and cheery and so perfect for the warm theme of that room.
2.) Just bought fake tulips (this color and this color) for the table when I don’t have time to pick up fresh batches of sunflowers after they die (they last about a week). I’ll always need flowers ’cause they make me smile. GAH!! I hope they are as pretty as the reviews say they are ’cause I’m not much of a fake flower girl… we’ll see. 😉
3.) Mondays off are very nice… I get to catch up a little more on the stuff I need to do. I’m going to make pork tenderloin in the oven with roasted brussels sprouts, and greek green beans in my Instant Pot. And now…

Am I first? Woohoo – good morning!
*stretches and yawns*
Good morning! I’ve been up for hours but still can’t seem to wake up. Trying to finish current book (before my KU expires Wed.) but am bummed as I accidentally read a spoiler. Gah! Why don’t people use spoiler tags on GR?? Anyway, I have been feeling slumpish. I had two dnfs when I was almost at 50%. What a waste!! Looking forward to Riders on the Storm.
Good morning my friends!!! 😀
Am contemplating a DNF right now… was wanting to DNF for a bit, but got to 70% last night and think I should just finish it at this point.
But it’s just too over the top for me (or maybe my current mood is just not up to this kind of book)…
*sigh*
It’s so hard to DNF with that much time invested…it must be rough. At that point, I usually finish. I’ll DNF up until about 50% unless it’s really not my thing.
At that point if I have to force it too much I usually skim. Or sometimes I read the rest backwards, lol.
3 things:
1. I read over 50% of a book last night. Kill Game by Cordelia Kingsbridge. If I finish tonight then this week is all about Lake Silence.
2. Romance is a Bonus Book is still my cuppa. Look at the chemistry. Love it.

3. Also watching 2nd season of The Great British Bake Off. Not great timing though as wanted to start eating better this week, lol.
1. I recently found out Josh Duhamel was 15 minutes from my house filming The Lost Husband and I missed it! Yes, I stalk him and yes, I get Josh Duhamel google alerts, but unless you’re on casting call sites (which I am now because duh), they only tell you the closest major city. 🙄 The good news is, it sparked an idea.
2. Riders is going strong and aside from a minor distraction (see below), I’ve pretty much stuck to schedule.
3. I added my next project to Goodreads over the weekend! It’s called Magnolia May, and it’s about a small-town Texas girl who goes to a casting call for the film adaptation of her favorite book, hoping to meet the writer she idolizes, but instead gets enlisted to teach the grouchy AF lead actor how to two-step. 😀 https://bit.ly/2GKdwVo
It’s been an eventful few days.
1. I’ve spent the past 5 days in stomach bug he!! I still managed to read a little yesterday, migrane and cramps be darned.
2. The indoor waterpark went really well, no headache. Until the bug reared it’s ugly head. :/
3. I binged all of Good Girls on Netflix. So good. I passed it up so many times off the preview. The 2nd season airs March 3rd on NBC so I don’t have to wait long.
Ugh stomach bugs… THE. WORST.
I like your schedule R!!!! 😀 *waggles eyebrows*
bev I’m watching The Kids Baking Championship right now and all the cakes and cupcakes and cookies are killing me.
Michele G… Agreed. I may as well finish. It’s not a long read.
1) I had a 3 book weekend, it was glorious!
2) I had my labwork drawn today for my doctor’s appointment tomorrow, I’ve officially been keto-ing for 6 weeks now. I’m down 22 pounds. We’ll see how it goes at the Dr’s tomorrow.
3) I’m off this week… I’m not sure what I’m going to do really. *shrug* I’m excited to really have no plans.
YAY GREY!!!!!!!!
I lost about 25lbs (maybe 22 or 23lbs or something like that?). I do NOT want to lose any more – I’m exactly at my goal weight and in fact, have to up my calories so I don’t lose more. Keto is the real thing!! Oh and… my hair has finally stopped falling about a month or so ago (you can’t tell that it’s thinner, but I can for sure) and I have a TON of baby hairs growing in all around my head. It’s kind of funny. 😛
P.S. Don’t forget. Hair loss is not a Keto thing. It’s a weight loss thing. You shock your system by losing so much weight so quickly. I hear women who have just had babies, and those with the gastric bypass surgeries have the same hair loss issue.
Wow. That is a lot. Congratulations!
That much weight loss is tempting, but I’m pretty sure it’s not the diet for me.
I’m curious . So if you got to go on a months vacation to Italy or France would you try and stay keto? Or would you want to be able to enjoy all the regional foods?
bev… hrmmm… I would have a cheat day once a week. 😉
But yes, I’d just indulge in all of their meats and cheeses. I bet I wouldn’t miss a thing. Except for the occasional pastry or pasta dish (and again… maybe a little cheat here and there).
Maryse–I love Kids Baking Championship! I got behind and binge-watched a little bit over the weekend. As soon as I’m able, I’m going to make some French macarons. I’m hoping to include them when I make our belated Christmas dinner at the end of March/beginning of April, but I may end up ordering some for now.
And I’ve mentioned many times how much I love The Great British Bake Off. One of my all-time faves!
Nay, see if I’m watching one of your faves you should watch Romance is a Bonus Book. It even takes place in a small publishing house.
Grey, how are your curls?
For those of us who’ve been waiting, Release by Lucia Franco has a release date–5/2/19!!
I’m having trouble staying into Glee. It’s weird now that the originals have graduated. The new kids are like replicas of all the OGs and I don’t like it. 😛
Oh Tasha, I love Glee so much. I know some of the new students are lame but they do still have the “OGs” on and the end is so good.
I started the new Lisa Kleypas today (it’s Tuesday here!) and I’M LOVING IT!!!!!!! A beautifully written HR set in the 1870s with such a gorgeous couple. Sexy, romantic, charming, funny, intense, great secondary characters (including great kids) this book’s got the lot. At the moment it’s looking like a (rare) 5 star for me. *happy sigh*
Oh yeah, it’s called Devil’s Daughter.
🙁 my blushing emoji didn’t work. LOL.
1. Allergies suck.
2. I’ve been playing a matching game on the phone that, when you get through puzzles, you get to decorate a house. I just want to keep decorating the house.
3. Found an awesome treat at Target, the already mixed mug treats. I got the brownie one, and we made it today. He DEVOURED it. I drank apple cider while he had it so we were both happy.
Nay! *hugs* Stomach bugs suck way more than allergies. I hope it passes quick.
That game sounds fun, Tessa.
bev, I would totally cheat, lol! I can’t imagine going somewhere like that and not indulging a little. My curls are just as curly as ever…
To bev and Maryse, on the hair thing, yeah, I didn’t actually lose any more hair than normal. *Shrug* which, I thought was weird, but my thyroid was super whacked right before I started and I’d been losing a bunch, so maybe that’s why?
Maryse, I have about 3 more pounds until I’m at the goal weight I’d set for myself. Originally, I’d just planned on staying on this until my appointment and goal weight… because honestly, I didn’t know if I would be able to do it. Now, my plan is to talk to the doctor and see what she says.
