THREE THINGS:
1.) I devoured “The Dirt” on Netflix (just like I devoured the book – The Dirt: Confessions of the World’s Most Notorious Rock Band – wayyyyy back when – even before I had my blog) and LOVED IT!! Crazy debauchery, nothing was held back… and these guys were disputing each other’s crazy facts, left and right. *snort* 😛 This was my favorite band as a teen…
2.) I just finished another psych-thriller (ABOUT HER <— recently released and by an author I already love!! She wrote the “Roam” series and also First, which I 4.5-starred here.) – this was a total genre change and she hit it out of the ballpark. I had NO idea what was happening or would happen and WOW. Yes!!! 😀 I’ll be reviewing it shortly…
3.) I bought a batch of gorgeous artificial sunflowers for my table for when I don’t have time to put fresh ones on it. I’m actually pretty impressed with how good they look (as I’ve always shied away from “artificial”) but these brighten the room and do the job for now. They have big huge heads (equivalent to the fresh ones I buy at Publix), are bendable, and yep…the “look” is right! 😀 YAY SUNFLOWERS!! Even the fake ones!!

3. Just finished “listening” to the audiobook for Daisy Jones & the Six yesterday. (I’m apologizing to those of you who I’m on FB & GR with…just ignore me because I’ve already spewed my incessant love for all things DJATS there) I read an ARC of it in January and adored it! But can I just say that this audiobook is on a whole different level — it is unbelievably amazing!
First I’d like to say that champagne at 5 am is not recommended if one can’t sleep past 9:30.

Bev nailed it. I cried because it’s done. It’s been FOUR years in the making. These characters are family to me. Even my husband cried. This whole experience is just super emotional.
And yes, MichelleS. Leslie makes a few appearances and there’s a Dr. Nay Craig! I also have a couple of my Mermaids (from my FB group) written in, Donna the waitress (and her husband) and Terrill who owns a taco shack! There may be more but my brain is toast right now.
And I cannot wait to get back to reading. A Lesson in Thorns is calling me!
Michele G….what do you think Jude’s motivation was? I’m not sure I could always see it. I’m guessing most came from fear, but she didnt want to leave the place that scared her.
MichelleS, you have dead grass during the winter? Maybe that’s why I like winter. It’s our rainy season (end of Oct- mid-April) so everything other than the non-evergreen trees is green as opposed to the rest of the year. It’s very brown for the rest of the year.
1. I hate shopping on Mondays. Other days, sure, but not Mondays.
2. I can’t wait for the 28th when Amelia Hutchins releases her next book. 🙂 No pre-order.
3. I need to get the Easter stuff out to decorate! It’s still not up but it’s not as insane as Christmas or Halloween. So far, just a new little Easter sign we got from Dollar tree and a little egg on cut cardboard I made are up.
Bev, I always felt like she was determined to not let them “break her” while also craving their approval. I also don’t think she felt like she’d fit in anywhere else. She’d been there for so long it was her “norm.” She’s a very complex character. You’ll understand her motivations more in The Wicked King. Also, I read The Lost Sisters which is a short novella that provided more of Taryn’s perspective which we didn’t really get in The Cruel Prince. I think you could read on without it but I was glad to have that little extra viewpoint. I was able to get it from the library myself so it was a win-win for me.
1. I’ve been reading the Elite Seven series by various authors and I have to say I’m really liking each book so far. How all those authors got together to make one cohesive story is amazing. And they are all well loved authors. The story gets better with each book too.
2. I’m glad others are enjoying The Cruel Prince and The Wicked King. I loooove those books!
3. I’m reading The Five by Lily White right now. It’s like a psych thriller. I’ve just gotten into it and boy the h is messed up and wacko, so we’ll just have to keep reading and see why. Loving it so far.
I want to hear if you loved it still when your finished with A Lesson in Thorns, MichelleS. I’ve decided to add that to my tbr this morning.

Maryse, I watched Dirt last night. It was pretty good, but it was missing something for me. I needed more feeling, some emotion, humanity. Lol! I thought who in their right mind would date/marry/even want a friendship with these fools? There must’ve been something more.
