Happy Monday everyone!! It’s time for the Monday EarlyBirds, and while it’s not a huge list today, I will keep an eye out for more to add as the day progresses. 😀
<—- P.S. Look what just went LIVE yesterday and is rocking the Amazon charts!! Pieces of Us by A.L. Jackson is already #27 on all of Amazon Kindle.
Three things:
1.) I had a wonderful long weekend! A fun birthday celebration on Saturday for two friends, and Easter gathering and a wonderful supper on Sunday. For the birthday event, we went to Texas de Brazil (I LOVE that place) and feasted on the most amazing meats ever. But that “salad bar” along is beyond fantastic. They call it a salad bar, but it’s got so much more than salads. Smoked salmon, and blocks of cheese, and deli meats, sushi, and every kind of yummy thing to make the best buffet plate. My favorite thing on that table is their “Tabbouleh“. I haven’t found a better version of that salad yet.
2.) During the Easter supper wind-down, we watched the first “John Wick” and OMG I LOVED IT!!! I have no idea why I haven’t watched these yet, but since #3 is coming out soon, I’m going to catch up. It’s a fantastic, thrilling, heartbreaking movie and so intense. Plus… Keanu Reeves. <3 😉
3.) I just ordered and received two of these plant stands for my deck area, and will be loading it up for the spring with herbs, and pretty flowers and tomato plants and whatever I can fit on them. They were SO easy to put together (directions are there but it’s self-explanatory… just pieces that fit in place together), really solid-feeling, and I can’t wait for my mini “porch garden” to get in full gear!! I LOVE SPRING!!! 😀

The palatial estate housing the endeavor is now run by the rude (brilliant) critic who’s consistently slammed her performances of late. Morning!
1. Weird that you mentioned tabbouleh as I am craving it and was thinking of trying to make my own. I usually buy store bought but I dislike onions.
2. Can’t wait to see Avengers Endgame. Hoping to get to it this weekend so I don’t accidentally hear spoilers.
3. I’ve been binge watching a bunch of true crime stuff since this stupid book slump wont go away. Right now I’m watching women who murder.
I don’t like the onions either (cooked onions I can do, but raw – nope) and I could swear their Tabouleh has no onions. Just the perfect amount of everything and delicious!!!
Publix used to make one in their deli section that was just as good, years ago, but now it’s a pre-made one that they sell and it’s nowhere near as good. 🙁
Ugh… book slumps. I didn’t get much time to read this weekend, but Method is so far, so good. I’m at about 40%. Nothing too crazy yet but hints at the past/present has me already imagining it goes THERE.
That she dies.
*snort*
GASP!! I hope not. I’m thinking more… infidelity issues…
It was a magic trick gone wrong. The saw a woman in half and, well, …….
It happened in Boca Raton.
*snort* 😛
As long as it’s not HIM doing the cheating. Because double standards.
It’s not. That’s why he kills her.
lol
1. Have a headache so instead of reading or music on my commute listening to Desert Island Disc. Oh, those soothing British accents.
2. Reading two books. One more serious one more light hearted. I really like the cover of Serious Moonlight.
3. I’m hopping around shows right now as the mood takes me. But I’m distracted by The Story of Minglan right now. It is a c drama and a historical. Someone on Drama Beans related it to Austen adaptations and…..catnip.
1. Easter was good. Dude got a lot of Lego Movie 2 stuff (a mini lego set and a water bottle) and so much candy! He was going to town on the stuff! lol Then, bought the Lego Movie 2 movie with cable. 🙂
2. I bought my 2019 swimsuit! Well, tankini and board shorts. SO CUTE! The board shorts are just black, but this is the top. https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B07M7TJMG1/?coliid=I6HKUYOOPGFSP&colid=2HTEDYHS1585C&psc=0&ref_=lv_ov_lig_dp_it Green is my favorite color, second is purple, so YAY! However, the time for it to get here is sometime between May and the beginning of June. *rolls eyes* Thankfully I have a top that I can use until then.
3. After Game of Thrones yesterday, I couldn’t read anything serious, so instead found something light, kind of blah, and fluffy. It is working for now. I’m still reserved about Method but will read that either next or I’m continuing a bully book I started and the second book is already out! *squee* Bad Bad Blue Bloods by CM Stunich. It’s the second to Filthy Rich Boys which was so good, with a seriously SHOCKING ending that had me gasping irl. You see why I’m torn? BR with a book that everyone is praising or figuring out what’s going on after THAT ENDING!
I LOVE that suit!!!! YESSSSSS!!!!
1. Game of f&#king Thrones is going to break me. I just know it. All those touching moments on last night’s episode? Yeah, there’s a sledgehammer headed right for us. We’re going to be losing some beloved characters all too soon. Screw you, show writers. Screw. You.
2. Please, PLEASE don’t let Lucas cheat on Mila. I don’t want this one getting messed up for me as I’m already invested in it! Hush it, bev. 🤨
3. This weekend went too fast, but Easter with friends was wonderful!
1. Yep. A lot of them are going to die. It’s sad but true. No one is safe. Watch Dany die with her last dragon left. Cersei shall be killed by Jamie. Gendry will become a white walker and Arya will be forced to kill him.
😛 What will really suck is if I’m right. Well, not the Cersei part. That’d be cool, though I’d feel for Jamie.
2. Ugh, I’ll get into that book. Really. But, the revenge book of the last book and and and… I HAD to!
One of the reasons Martin’s world is so great is no one is safe. Saying that I have like 6 people that i need to come out of it whole. But i need to be careful with spoilers or i probably won’t finish it book or show format.
And…..he totally cheats. Has a baby with someone else, but she loves him so much , everyone does, that she forgives him and raises it as her own.it totally saves their marriage…..the baby by another woman. You cant blame him it is all he ever wanted.
Wait… what?? Where is Martin’s World? This sounds CRAZY and exactly what I freak out over and can’t put down!!!!!!!
*scrolls back through the comments*
Martin is George R.R. Martin. The first paragraph is in reference to GoT.
The second to that book you all are reading. It is the scenario that Amy would HATE, but LOVE if it was the heroine.
Yep, I think Jamie is going to end up killing Cersei. And either she is trying to cover up her twincest pregnancy by sleeping with Euron, or she lost the baby and is trying to get pregnant to cover THAT up. Did you see her tear up in episode 1 when he put his hand on her stomach? *shakes head*
I keep having this awful thought that Dany is going to become unhinged and go mad like her father, especially if she loses her other two dragons. Please, please, PLEASE NO.
And if something happens to Tyrion or that beautiful ginger oaf, I’m gonna lose my sh!t.
Amy–I agree with everything you say! I’m going to be majorly upset if Tyrion dies! I can’t wait to see what Brienne’s going to do!
One of my favorite parts in the show and the book is Jamie and Brienne …..when they are basically on a road trip together. To go from despising each other, to needing each other to survive, then to friends.
I loved that too, bev!!
Yes! I love the bonding that happened and the dynamic between them. I swear, if she dies after that incredible moment she had… 😩
Hate to say it Amy, but I think she’s already starting to show signs of her family’s madness.
I know, Tessa…I know. Have you noticed the subtle differences in her facial expressions this season, particularly this last episode? She’s not as controlled and is starting to get “crazy eyes” when she gets upset. I’m going to be devastated if she goes mad, but I think it’s coming.
John Wick is great! Hubby is obsessed and it’s rubbed off on me. Have you seen the memes where it shows an article about someone mistreating a dog and below it a picture of JW loading a gun? Hilarious.
Don’t get me started about the dog. I FREAKED OUT and nearly shut the whole thing down. I was devastated. Re-living that awful scene and how scared she was over and over.
I was RIGHT THERE WITH JOHN WICK!!!!!
ROOOOOOAAAAAAARRRRRRRRR!!!!
P.S. Please someone find me a Beagle that I can call Daisy and love and protect for her entire life.
RIGHT??? That was horrible. 😩
I love the JOHN WICK movies. Didn’t know about the 3rd one. Yeah!!
I can’t wait!!! 😀
