Lisa right?? I loved her book Riven, and her book Rainfall (she’s an incredible story-teller and doesn’t mind ripping your heart out in the process – makes it SO real and unforgettable). I’m so thrilled she’s got another!! 😀

So, no reading this weekend but…have been watching Scandal. Be still my forbidden romance loving heart!! Yowsa! The chemistry with Olivia & Fitz. *fans self* I love them and I also have major soft spot for Huck. I am on S2 epi 7. I dont like Cyrus but the one spoiler I know is about him and I am dreading it.
Pepperoncini pot roast is the PERFECT meal for the cold weather. It’s not cold here in Florida but it’s raining and dreary. I could use a comfort food right now.
So… I’m reading Darkest Sunrise and the only reason I stopped was I needed sleep. It’s SOOOOO good so far! 😀

I was into Scandal for a long time. Then a long the way it jumped the shark for me. Kerry Washington is awesome in it.
I wanted to try Scandal… I tend to jump ship if I have to stop in the middle of marathon watch, and then don’t pick it right back up. If it wasn’t completely captivating me and having me on the edge of my seat throughout, I lose my marathon momentum.
*sigh*
Bev, it seems like all the popular shows jump the shark doesn’t it? I think they air them too long when they should have just ended them on a good note. But they can’t resist the good ratings and the money so the network keeps running it even though half the cast leaves or the storylines get ridiculous.
Yes! This is why I get so bored with shows after a while. Especially dramas, like Grey’s Anatomy for example. After a while, they end up like soap operas and annoy me and I’m over the whole formula. It’s predictable and a conclusion should’ve been made loooong ago. I’ve given up on tons of shows for that reason.
Leslie–I also started Scandal once it had already been on the air for a while, so I did some major binge watching through 5 seasons. There have been some parts in later seasons that have been meh or a bit much, but I think they’ve really done some great stuff in Season 7. I’ve gone back and forth about Cyrus more than any other character, and I also love Huck, who goes through a major metamorphosis throughout the seasons. Of it all, though, my favorite part has been Olivia and Fitz during the first few seasons.
I made pepperoncini pot roast yesterday! But instead of the usual potatoes and carrots, I roasted low carb veggies: yellow squash, mushrooms, radishes, onion, red pepper, and broccoli. Yumm!! Actually…I think it’s about leftover time!
Lisa hurry up and read that one and give me an HEA update!

Speaking of Knights of Black Swan Series, I’d like to nominate Rammel Hawking as the BEST IRISHMAN in a fantasy series… since St Paddy’s Day is next Sunday… maybe Maryse will do an Irish theme post? That’s also why I picked up First Time Lucky. Irish brogue gets me every time, lassies.

In Denmark the snow is finally melting and I hope that spring and warmer temperature is around the corner.
I just finished Furious Rush by S C Stephens and loved everything about that book. Just a little bit of angst, the slow burn between Hayden and Kenzie, and everything is just heading for the HEA. Until the last page and now my heart beats faster just thinking about starting book 2 Dangerous Rush. I have a very strong feeling where book 2 will take us, and I’m not sure I can handle that. I’m really nervous but sure I have to start it. I loved Thoughtless and it had a lot of angst too, so hopefully I will survive Dangerous Rush 🙂

I use ANYTHING that’s pickled pepper like. I once only had a whole jar of jalapeños. It was the BEST Mississippi-like pot roast I made. That is still my favorite one to this day.
