Happy Monday everyone!! A few earlybirds that look like a heck of a lot of fun just went live (like that one to our left) and we’re having a giveaway for it (signed!!) and a giftcard right here. :D

P.S. I’ll be checking throughout the day and adding more if any sneak in. ;) Let me know if you see any.

  • Tinfoil Heart by Daisy Prescott <— DAISY PRESCOTT’S LATEST JUST WENT LIVE & it sounds SO. FREAKING. FUN!! “My father was abducted by aliens. Or so I believed for the last eighteen years. After my mother’s death, I moved to Roswell, capital of all things alien. I’m going to find out the truth and nothing will stop me . . . except Boone Santos. Compared to the intergalactic tinfoil hat brigade, he’s a god amongst mere mortals. Too handsome for his own good (and mine), with a grumpy arrogance, and the most beautiful smile ever—he smashes my plan to pieces like a UFO crashing into the desert. I need a tinfoil hat for my heart...”
  • Pretty Lies by Kitty Thomas <— KITTY THOMAS DARK READ ALERT!!! Her latest one just went LIVE!! She played with the wrong man…As a phone sex operator, Annette Waincott knows how to tease to get what she wants. That is, until she teases the wrong man at a club, claiming kinky fantasies she doesn’t really have. It must have been too much vodka and his tantalizing Russian accent. Too bad he believes her. When the Russian accidentally kidnaps her twin sister as part of an ill-fated sex game, things quickly get real. In a desperate bid to free her twin, Annette offers herself to him in trade…”
  • Cold (Stone Cold Fox Trilogy Book 2) by Max Monroe <— MAX MONROE ALERT!!! It’s a trilogy and must be read in order…
  • Giving Her My Baby by Alexa Riley <— ALEXY RILEY’S LATEST!! “…Eleanor works as a live-in baby nurse for new mothers. But her need to have a baby of her own has led her to take matters into her own hands. It’s not the ideal situation, but she can’t wait on Mr. Perfect any longer. But one phone call about a final job may change all her carefully made plans...”
  • The Ghost (Professionals Book 2) by Jessica Gadziala <— HIS JOB IS TO “GHOST” HER… “…one chance encounter, one decision that changed everything. With no options left, she enlists the help of Quinton Baird & Associates, who promptly inform her that she has to leave it all – the career, the apartment, the life she had worked so hard to build for herself – behind. If all that wasn’t enough, her entire future – and life in general – was in the hands of a man whose coworkers called ‘The Ghost.’ Because that was what he did; he ghosted people, hid them, gave them new lives, made them impossible to find. With no other choice, she agrees to his terms, climbs in a car with him, and travels almost clear across the country toward her new life. But the long hours on the road – and even longer hours in cabins and hotel rooms – together start to show her things…”

  • Wheeler (Four Fathers Book 4) by Ker Dukey <— KER DUKEY ALERT!!! “...I am dark. Calculating. A single father. I have secrets that would horrify most people. Stalking is a habit I refuse to break—and what happens after is a sweet reward. My life is exactly the way I have designed it. But an undeserving, sick monster is dating my only daughter...”
  • Sergio: a Dark Mafia Romance by Natasha Knight <— SHE’S HIS… “...I’m not good. I never wanted to be. And I won’t let her go anymore. See, I’m not the hero. When I touch her, it’s with dirty hands. I know my reckoning is coming though. I know I’ll burn for the things I’ve done, the sins I’ve committed. And I don’t deny hell is where I belong, but I want my time first. I want my time with her. She’s mine...”
  • When With Rome (Perfect Gentlemen Book 1) by Natalie Gayle
  • A Broken Bond by Stacey Kennedy

  • Reckless Honor (HORNET) by Tonya Burrows
  • The Troublemaker by Lili Valente <— BIKER ALERT!! “…I can hide out until the scandal with my evil ex blows over AND have a wild rebound at the same time. Besides, I’ve got no heart left to break. My ex made sure of that. As long as Rafe and I keep our no-strings fling from our families, what can possibly go wrong?”
  • When Stars Burn Out by Carrie Aarons <— SECND CHANCE ROMANCE ALERT!! “…eight years later, he’s trying to pull her back into his orbit. The nation’s most beloved football player, a tight end with a seriously tight end, has finally realized Demi is the one who got away. But she’s a different woman than the weak girl who used to come running whenever he called in the middle of the night. • Welcome to the Dark Side (The Fallen Men Book 2) by Giana Darling <— BIKER GUY SHOWS HER A DIFFERENT LIFE… “I got cancer. What the hell kind of reward was that for a boring life well lived? I was a seventeen-year-old paradigm of virtue and I was tired of it. So, when I finally ran into the man I’d been writing to since he saved my life as a little girl and he offered to show me the dark side of life before I left it for good, I said yes. Only, I didn’t know that Zeus Garro was the President of The Fallen MC…”

Happy World Book Day to all of my fellow book lovers!!! Our love of books has brought us together from all over the world (literally ;) ) so I would say this day is fitting for us to celebrate.

Nerds martinis for everyone!

I just need to rave about a gem of a book I finished called “Road-Tripped” by Nicole Archer. It is just SOOOOOOO GOOD!! So, totally funny, fresh, romantic, emotional… The banter is hilarious and witty and the adventures! I can’t review it right. It was one of those where I was squirreling around on my kindle trying to find something light. It must have been on my kindle for a year!?!?!?!? And, I must be late to the boat on this book and everyone has read it? But if not and you want an unputdownable, fun as all get out read. THIS IS IT!!! It is definitely one of my faves of 2018 (even though it’s not from this year). Five stars. xoxo

Tessa April 23, 2018 at 2:55 PM

Amy, I love the name of this one, even if it has lemon juice.

Amy April 23, 2018 at 3:24 PM

Not only does it sound yummy, the name is the bestest EVER!! :D

By the way, Tessa…in case it’s never been mentioned or you weren’t aware, stay far away from Sick Fux. Major triggers for you. I DNF’d it. :|

Amy April 23, 2018 at 3:27 PM

Marina, if anyone is going to understand the need to rave (and not feeling like we can review it right ;) ), it’s us here. And me especially. *snort* Well, Maryse reviews books spectacularly but that’s why this place even exists, LOL!

Rave away, friend!

marina April 23, 2018 at 3:36 PM

Thanks Amy, I feel better! All I can come up with is “so awesome” “so good”. Maryse’s reviews are truly above and beyond!

Wanted to also mention that for Road-Tripped, you have to keep reading past the first few chapters for it to get really good. Please, please read it!! I need to share my excitement in it’s awesomeness.

Honestly perhaps the best romantic comedy I’ve read.

Tessa April 23, 2018 at 3:40 PM

THANK YOU AMY! Yeah, I saw some stuff that made me back away from wanting to read it. From what little I saw that sounded like a major no go.

For World Book Day, favorite “classic” book? Mine is Count of Monte Cristo. That book was a mind twist and so dark and angsty… It was awesome. Though, I’d think a drink made with that theme would be extremely bitter. :P

bev April 23, 2018 at 5:11 PM

Thank you all…..even Maryse.;)
Yes, I have a few days left.

Did anyone check out the free Kindle books for world day?

Tessa April 23, 2018 at 5:22 PM

I did. I only got one though. The rest honestly didn’t look like my type of book.

Leslie M April 23, 2018 at 5:48 PM

Marina, I will try Road Tripped sometime soon. :)

I don’t write reviews, so I understand. I can’t seem to articulate in a coherent way, why I liked or disliked a book.

MichelleS April 23, 2018 at 6:14 PM

Happy birthday Bev! Giant virtual hugs to you! XXXX

I finished Birthday Girl. Read all dang day yesterday. Loved it.

Favorite classic book? Probably Pride & Prejudice. Mr. Darcy. Swoon.

MichelleS April 23, 2018 at 6:15 PM

Tessa – Monte Cristo sandwiches are good though. Ha!

Tessa April 23, 2018 at 6:35 PM

They are too sweet for me. lol Monte Cristo should be bitter. :P Though, the only time I’ve ever had it was from Blue Bayou in Disneyland, so maybe elsewhere it’s not so sweet?

bev April 23, 2018 at 7:25 PM

To Kill A Mockingbird

Or Jane Eyre

marina April 23, 2018 at 9:29 PM

Yay, Leslie!!! Glad to hear you will read it! I want you all to read it because I know you’ll like it!! Truly.

Cheryl April 23, 2018 at 10:05 PM

Bev- you have same birthday as my daughter!!!

Reading the Hardest Fall and already one twist and I can see it getting ugly soon. :)

MichelleS April 24, 2018 at 8:21 AM

Tessa – they are too sweet. I only eat them every ten years or so. Then regret it.

To Kill A Mockingbird!! Of course. How could I have forgotten that. Seriously one of the best books ever written.

Tessa April 24, 2018 at 9:40 AM

Yeah. That’s why I always had the chicken. When we go, I don’t go there anymore. It needs a reservation and the food isn’t that great. (Atmosphere is awesome though!)

Lisa M April 25, 2018 at 7:20 PM

Waaaa!!! I’m reading Sergio by Natasha Knight!!! 3rd book in the series!!! So good. But if you have read the series so far you know why I’m crying!!! Great mafia series!!! Anyone else read it???

Maryse April 26, 2018 at 8:00 PM

Lisa M!!

I haven’t but I’m intrigued and I’m putting it on the Friday Finds.

Thank you!!!! :D
