*tosses spf 75* it is hot in the NE right now,be safe!

Ela…get thee to GR, haha!

I’m finishing up Jeannine Allison’s Unveiling series today. Omg, seriously… These covers are stunning, and the writing…well it kind of speaks for itself that I picked it up and ran with it. It was exactly what my soul needed, some sweet HEA, slow burns, heart healing… not fluff – but real life romance.

Anywhoo, that’s me!

Good morning! *wipes sweat off brow*

It has been in the 90′s and humid for the last bazillion days in a row here. So hot yesterday that even air conditioned places were still hot. We totally need central a/c.

Wow to all the shinies!! I have my eye on several up there. :)

Leslie M July 2, 2018 at 8:29 AM

Maryse, I NEED to check out that Sophia shade in person, it looks so pretty. I love the “feel” of the Buxom gloss. The only one I have is “Leslie”. I don’t love the color but had to buy because of name and lady on box had long brown hair!

I am also obsessed with the Bareminerals Gen Nude Radiant Lipstick (I have Kitty, XOX, Mantra & Love) and the Gen Nude Lip Lacquer (Major, Dahling, Can’t Even & Addicted). This line has such pretty colors I seriously want them ALL!

Maryse July 2, 2018 at 8:29 AM

YAY GREY!!!! Thank you for those book recs. I haven’t heard of them so I’m looking them up right now. :D

Cheryl July 2, 2018 at 9:00 AM

Good morning!!! *chugs coffee*

Grey, I’ll have to check that series out, especially because it is KU!

I’m all hot and sweaty just from being outside to hang our bunting and put out some RWB decorations. Ugh it’s like a sauna out there.

Now off to paint the laundry room.

Nay July 2, 2018 at 10:42 AM

Good morning! I can NOT believe it’s already July! Do ya’ll realize that Halloween is less than 4 months away? And then we’ll turn around and it’ll be Christmas eep! I feel like I should start my Christmas shopping right now.

It was 96 degrees in the Nashville area yesterday (I’m 20 miles away). We had our A/C kicking the entire day and our house stayed at 75/76 degrees (we usually keep it no warmer than 70). Miserable heat!

Nay July 2, 2018 at 10:45 AM

I’m posting this here to respond to messages on the Friday post

Jan–lol. I loved when he (Matt Preston) wore the blue/white stripes. He’s always dashing, but I think he’s really stepped it up this season. And I hope he never shaves his beard!

Maryse–I wouldn’t mind having a mini Bobby Flay at all! I swear that either he or Guy Fieri is on my tv over half the time, but that’s ok since I love watching both of them. Bobby’s eyebrows have just gotten a little out of control lately! lol

I was considering Tom Ford’s something ‘wood’ fragrance when I was looking for a new scent for hubs, but it was a bit too pricey for me.

I’m going to try the Total Effects and bev’s eye cream, I think. I’ve used Olay products in the past and really liked them, but Total Effects is one I haven’t tried yet. And I’ll get spf since I’m 100 times more likely to get skin cancer with my immunosuppressants.

Tessa July 2, 2018 at 10:50 AM

Okay, Best of June time! I’m a day late. :) But I was so into Black Crown (Darkest Drae) last night that I didn’t even think of it.

My best book… is hard to choose. lol The two I chose are too different to pick one. A PNR vs a mafia book – the only thing they have in common is the main hero is a jerk. lol

Sinning in Vegas by Sam Mariano. A possessive jerk who doesn’t want his toy taken away vs a possessive jerk who wants what’s best for the mafia and loves her. BOTH screwed up and now she hates them both. SO GOOOOOOOD!

Iron and Magic by Ilona Andrews. Well, Ilona Andrews and it’s the bad guy’s story! Hugh’s story! And and and… it worked! I was rooting for him by the middle of it and was absolutely loving him by the end. I’m so glad they decided to listen to the fans and actually write their April Fools joke.

Leslie M July 2, 2018 at 1:22 PM

Hmmm…did I list my best of June already? I can’t remember and am too lazy to look it up. I apologize if I am repeating myself.

I had 4 books in June that I LOVED!

Just an Illusion by D. Kelly

Steadfast &
Keepsake both by Sarina Bowen

Kiss Me Back by Sidney Halston

bev July 2, 2018 at 2:06 PM

The Kiss Quotient.

Lisa M July 2, 2018 at 2:14 PM

So many good ones!! The TBR list is out of control!! Maryse you must add Desire in Lingerie by Penelope Sky it comes out July 3!! Amazing series!! This series continues on from the Buttons & Lace series. Buttons is all about the parents & Uncle. One of my favs!! Lingerie series about their kids!!! 5 star read for me!!! Can’t wait for tomorrow!!

Robyn July 2, 2018 at 3:09 PM

Tessa-I loved Iron and Magic also! Hugh has redeemed himself.

I just finished Fantasy of Frost (The Tainted Accords series) and am absolutely loving it. There are 3 more books. The h has to wear a veil over her face and has since she was a small child. I won’t give away why she has to because it’s part of the main plot of the books. I got my groove back with these beauties!

My garage, door is finally getting fixed today. It needs new panels, so I had to open it and close it manually in 105+ heat! What a pain in the snookums! I worked up a sweat from just, doing that.

I guess I did 3 things without trying!

Tessa July 2, 2018 at 5:49 PM

I loved the Tainted Accords! Such a great series. I still have to read the series shorts.

Cheryl July 2, 2018 at 6:56 PM

June favorites, (no 5 stars, but really liked these): All In duet by A. Torre, Baby Maker by P. Dangelico, and the Confidence Game duet by R. Higginson.

Jan July 2, 2018 at 6:58 PM

Hmm. July already. *shivers in winter cold*

Best book of June? Looking back, I can see I’ve done lots of rereading this month, of old favs. :)

Best new-to-me book I read in June was the most recent Mercy Thompson PNR/Urban fantasy book, Silence Fallen by Patricia Briggs. One of the best in that series so far. I just caught up on that series, even though Silence Fallen has been around since March 2017. WTG, Jan. LOL. The next one, called Storm Cursed, isn’t out till MARCH 2019 :(

Tessa July 2, 2018 at 8:31 PM

Between Briggs and Bishop, March is an expensive, but wonderful month.

Tasha J July 2, 2018 at 10:02 PM

Popping in with a movie rec…..Brain on Fire on Netflix was sooo good! And it’s based on a true story. :)

JulieO July 3, 2018 at 5:51 AM

Destiny mine showed up on my kindle last nite. “ Hello there. Can’t wait to read you.”
Waited forever.

Jean July 3, 2018 at 3:54 PM

I preordered Incognito and forgot!

This heat….. it’s seriously unbearable!

Fav books for June: The Pebble Jar and Beautiful Player…..(I did love the All In duet by A. Torre too). Oh and Third Grave Dead Ahead (fav of that series so far)!

Cheryl July 4, 2018 at 9:11 PM

Happy 4th everyone! I’m still so full from all the food and drink today. Now to read…
