in Latest Book Releases

Good morning everyone!! It’s Monday again and in case you missed the news yesterday, three books by three popular authors went live early! And then I found us more (and I will notice to add to this list as the day goes on).

Let’s play three things!

1.) I took a quick break yesterday and went to see “Peppermint” in the movie theater. I thought it was pretty great (and would have made an AWESOME book). I love vigilante stories, so I’m wondering if there was a book before the movie.

2.) I saw an author on my Facebook feed talk about the Ardell magnetic lashes and how much she loves them (photos and all), and I was convinced! So I bought a set and they work awesome. The trick really is to cut up the “bottom” strip into sections, to make them easier to put on (it’s a “Youtube hack” many of the reviews say to look at first). I actually took a set and cut ALL the lashes into sections so I can have a more subtle lash effect, when I don’t want to wear the whole strip. Just a few pieces.

3.) It’s time for coffee!!! I need coffeeeeeee. LOL!!!

  1. Once Upon A Real Good Time by Lauren Blakely <— JUST WENT LIVE EARLY!!! (One night stand with a Rock Star but…) ;) “…That smoking hot one-night stand with a former rock star? Turns out he’s my son’s new music teacher. Oops. But I didn’t know that the night I met Campbell…”
  2. Block Shot: A HOOPS Novel by Kennedy Ryan <—  JUST WENT LIVE EARLY!!! (an ENEMIES-TO-LOVERS romance!!) He broke her heart… “…If I had a dollar for every time Jared Foster broke my heart, I’d have exactly one dollar. One night. One epic fail. One dollar . . . and I’m out. I’ve moved on. I’ve found success in a field ruled by men. Anything they can do, I have done better. They can keep the field while I call the shots, blocking them when I have to. And Jared has the nerve to think he gets a second chance?…”
  3. More of You by A.L. Jackson’s LATEST JUST WENT LIVE!!! A second chance romance and he broke her heart!! “I promised myself I’d never lose my heart to him again. Even time couldn’t dim our chemistry. One glance of his intense eyes, and I become weak. One brush of his hand, and he brings me to my knees. Little do I know, Jace holds the key to everything I’ve lost and everything that threatens my future.  Now he will either save me, or he will break me all over again . . .
  1. Happy Ending (The Fisher Brothers Book 4) by J. Sterling <— J. STERLING ALERT!! “…What happens after you’ve found your happily-ever-after? The Fisher boys learn that life is unpredictable and nothing is certain. Will they get to keep everything they’ve worked so hard to achieve, or will they lose it all?…”
  2. Naz & Roz (Cross + Catherine Book 5) by Bethany-Kris <— NOT A STANDALONE!! “…Sometimes, first love is intense. All-consuming. Crazy. And you just have to ride it out. When brilliance and talent crash together, it can make magic…”
  3. The Beta’s Heart (Wilde Creek Book 8) by R. E. Butler
  4. Scandalous (The Alpha Bodyguard Series) by Sybil Bartel
  5. Taking A Shot (Montana Wolfpack) by Taryn Leigh Taylor <— HOCKEY STAR ALERT!!! “...Chelsea London is looking to misbehave. What’s being good ever gotten her, besides getting dumped and passed over for a big promotion at work? But her one delicious night of rebellion has unexpected consequences–her hot one-night stand is the latest addition to her father’s hockey team. And suddenly, one night of bad-girldom isn’t nearly enough…’
  6. Love Bites by Annabelle Costa
  7. Graveyard Watchman, Book 2: The Demon Wars by Leslie Fear <— LIVE! MUST BE READ IN ORDER… …She gave in. She took the hand of the mysterious man wearing the black cloak and now, Kate’s world has been flipped upside down...”
  8. Cinq A’ Sept by MJ Fields <— THE LATEST BY MJ FIELDS IS LIVE!!! SINGLE MOM & YOUNGER MAN ALERT!! “…while attempting to enjoy the elite Hampton nightlife with her coworkers, she meets a much-younger, tall, dark, and sexy man who offers her an escape for the long weekend. So, throwing caution to the ocean breeze, she accepts his offer of a true time-out in life, focusing only on time between the sheets with no … strings attached. What happens when you allow yourself to let go of life’s stresses, release inhibitions, and embrace desire? You chase regret…”

For those going on a road trip soon, or maybe you’ve got some projects that require both hands this weekend but still allows you to “listen”… check out the free audible trial + 2 free audiobooks deal —>

  • AND! Here’s the fun-tool again! —> Find out which of YOUR Kindle books are available as audiobooks at a BARGAIN-PRICE! <— This thing is so cool (Amazon calls it “Matchmaker“)! It’s an Amazon feature, that scans all of your Kindle books and will list all of the ones you have that are also available as an audiobook at a discounted price (not normal audiobook prices). This way, you can switch back and forth, seamlessly between your ebooks and your audiobooks. VERY COOL!

Good morning!

I haven’t had enough coffee yet to coherently type 3 things. *yawns*

Nay September 10, 2018 at 6:47 AM

Good morning! I’m sitting outside in the wonderful cool weather, drinking my pumpkin spice coffee!

Maryse–thank you for mentioning that about those lashes. I almost bought some of those after my hair started growing back and when I saw the crappy reviews, I gave it up.

Three things:
1) Kentucky beat Florida for the first time in 32 years this weekend! Go Cats!
2) I’m not very far into Binding 13, but I’m bored. I really don’t enjoy reading about young-ish teenagers. I’m not giving up though–too many people love it.
3) We had to turn on our HEAT last night! Yay! Fall’s coming!!!

Maryse September 10, 2018 at 7:42 AM

LOL Leslie!! I know how you feel… by #3 I was only coffee-focused. ;)

Maryse September 10, 2018 at 7:43 AM

OMG Nay YES FALL!!!!! I can’t wait. Still super-hot here.

bev September 10, 2018 at 9:17 AM

1. Listening to Jeff Buckley ‘s Lover, You Should of Come Over.

2. Ran out of time to make coffee. Hopefully time to buy. *fingers crossed*

3. I read a sort of spoiler on a drama I’m looking forward to. Not something I’m usually concerned about but this is a psychological one. It is an adaptation of a Japanese film. I wanted to go in completely blind. But, it was a little vague so maybe I’m reading it wrong??

Tessa September 10, 2018 at 9:43 AM

1. I’m not awake either and I’m out of creamer so only milk and Splenda in my coffee.

2. Binding 13 is truly tempting me right now.

3. All the city offices around here are closed today for Administration Day.

Okay and for the happy news. I read Kneel and Beg by Eden Butler over the weekend and OMG, It was SOOOO good. The first book was better than the second but not by much. The second was his POV. All sorts of angst and drama. Soooooo good.

1. I’m back from my little Mini Vacation/Girls Trip…it was super fun!

2. I’m at work – but I want to be at home reading because I didn’t really get to read very much on my trip (sadly).

3. It’s cooler here today too – - only 79 which I’ll take over the mid 90′s any day!!

R. Renee September 10, 2018 at 1:22 PM

1. I lost my voice watching football yesterday.
2. I agreed to drink a mini-bottle of Fireball every time the Browns scored because they never score. I was out cold by 4pm.
2. I’m back to reading Until it Fades and still loving it!

Tessa September 10, 2018 at 3:13 PM

R… #2 ROFL

Michele G September 10, 2018 at 3:40 PM

R, Fireball is usually the start on some really great stories – - sounds like it was the start of a really good sleep :-)

R. Renee September 10, 2018 at 3:44 PM

It was a friend’s birthday so we’d started the day with champagne…then moved on to Corona. By the time I so brilliantly accepted the FB challenge, I was past the point of anything great. Though I do remember a lot of chest bumping.

Robyn September 10, 2018 at 4:32 PM

1- I’m going to see Peppermint tomorrow. Glad it was good Maryse. I love Jennifer Garner ever since her Alias days.

2- I’m really loving The Edge series by C D Reiss. It was totally different than what I expected…in a good way.

3- I’m getting ready for my 2 months in Maryland. I’m going to visit my husband who works there, my daughter and son. Can’t wait for retirement then we won’t have such a big commute to see each other.

Jan September 10, 2018 at 5:38 PM

1. R. Renee you made me laugh. I don’t know exactly what fireball is, but I get the gist…….
2. Great to see everyone getting on board with Binding 13. Nay I hope it gets better for you.
3. Sips big mug of niceee hot coffeee. Ahhhhh. First of the day :)

BTW what is this Peppermint? I might see if it’s on down here. Intriguing.

Maryse September 10, 2018 at 5:56 PM

Robyn this is Jennifer Garner “Alias-bad-ass” times a million. On steroids. ;)

SO FUN!!! She is so kick-ass, a total HUMAN superhero.

Jan… she’s sees her husband and daughter gunned down by cartel members, and she LOSES HER MIND…. but intelligently. ;) Total vigilante like I LOVE.

Cheryl September 10, 2018 at 5:58 PM

1- It’s rainy and cool here. Not liking it.
2- There’s always time for coffee for me!!
3- Really craving chilli.

Maryse September 10, 2018 at 5:59 PM

I enjoy Fireball. And Jägermeister. Just not together. LOL! And not a lot in one evening… ugh.

Oh wait. Keto.

I can’t even drink those anymore anyway. Probably a good thing. ;)

Maryse September 10, 2018 at 5:59 PM

Michele G 79 sounds like HEAVEN!!!!!

R. Renee September 10, 2018 at 6:01 PM

I hate Fireball and every other cinnamon alcohol, thanks to college. I really didn’t think I was going to have to drink any!

Jan September 10, 2018 at 6:07 PM

Cinnamon alcohol. Hmmm. I think not. Not my fav flav for an alcoholic drink.

Maryse that movie sounds good. It’s not on here yet (I just checked) but if it comes to our town I’m definitely gonna go.

Cheryl September 10, 2018 at 6:08 PM

I hate cinnamon drinks too. A “little” too much cinnamon schnapps in college. Wait, R. were we at the same party?! LOL!!

R. Renee September 10, 2018 at 6:25 PM

Ha Cheryl! Did the Hot D@mn get you too? Oy vey!

Tessa September 10, 2018 at 6:44 PM

I LOVED Fireball. I love cinnamon a lot, except as a flavor in coffee. At my nieces bridal, I kinda got drunk on that… well. That and a hard cider, and some other stuff that was bought and yummy.

Leslie M September 10, 2018 at 7:45 PM

Did you guys used to drink Goldschlager? Ugh! I remember that one.

R. Renee September 10, 2018 at 7:47 PM

Rarely. That was rich people’s Hot D@mn.

Maryse September 10, 2018 at 7:47 PM

Leslie M… LOVED IT… for Christmas and New Years. But only a bit… there’s only so much of that one can stand. ;)

Cheryl September 10, 2018 at 7:54 PM

R. the hot D@mn was smooth and yummy going down; later on let’s just say it was not smooth, or yummy.

R. Renee September 10, 2018 at 7:55 PM

Oh no!! That is not something you want to revisit!

Cheryl September 10, 2018 at 8:05 PM

Lol. And that’s why I don’t ever want hot D@mn again!

bev September 10, 2018 at 8:07 PM

You all are making me feel queasy.

Leslie M September 10, 2018 at 8:25 PM

Yeah, puking up gold flecks…not pretty!

Robyn September 10, 2018 at 9:00 PM

Yum Fireball! My favorite is Fireball and RumChata. It tastes like cinnamon French toast. I’ve also been known to have fireball and hard cider.

Leslie M September 11, 2018 at 5:43 AM

Warm apple cider with a little fireball is good too.
