Happy Monday & Happy December!! A few “earlybirds” went live today (like that one there to the left…. it’s a touch forbiddenny 😉 ) and tomorrow looks like it’s going to be an amazing new release day!!!
Three things!
1.) I still haven’t put up my Christmas tree and I dunno why (I had all intentions on putting it up on the day after Thanksgiving – Black Friday – but I got hooked on shopping for deals instead). I WANT it up. I do!! I just can’t find the *ooooomph* I need to START it. I’m in the Christmas spirit. Christmas gifts bought. Christmas smelling candles…on. Holidays… planned. But tree? *shrug* I make the most GORGEOUS Christmas tree, too… I mean something that I just marvel at and that just makes my house SO much cozier at night. And yet… mine is currently still in it’s box. *sigh* I gotta get moving. I’ll regret it if I don’t. THIS is the time. UPDATE: Okay wait!! My mom and I just decided we’ll BOTH put up are trees on Saturday December 8th together via Facetime. YAY ME!! I knew I was holding off for a reason. 😀
2.) Speaking of which, I didn’t get in on the huge Bath & Body Works “Candle Day” sale (like I normally do) because I made my own this year. It feels weird to not have a bunch of their candles headed my way, but homemade is more special.
3.) I made the most awesome TURKEY stock today from my Thanksgiving turkey of awesomeness. It’s the turkey that keeps on giving. LOL!!!!

1. I read 3 (3!) books this weekend. I put off everything I needed to do…..but still it felt good.
2. Going to make a thermos of coffee with peppermint creamer and read on my commute.
3. Speaking of kpop…. IU was in my favorite show this year, but she is also a very successful singer. This song is from last year(?) and its adorable. It’s that she is 25 and now knows what she likes like short hair and pajamas with buttons. With a sweet cameo and message to her by G Dragon. Cute video.
Put the English captions on and tell me you haven’t felt this way a few different times in life. I feel like I’m going through one of these times now. Except….a lot older.

Maryse, I was supposed to have my tree ready for Thanksgiving (to celebrate with in-laws as they aren’t here for Christmas) and it never happened. It’s now assembled but not yet decorated. Trying to motivate myself now.

I have a small sprial sliced ham I want to make for dinner. Did someone say they used Crock-Pot for ham?? I’m thinking that might make it juicy and tender.
Oh, and for those not checking GR…some sad news. Poor Nay broke her leg. I don’t know all the details except that she was in ER waiting to get surgery and that it hurt like a “mofo”. 🙁

Leslie, that would be me for the slow cooker on ham. I don’t really cook meat in the oven a lot Bc I don’t know what I’m doing, so crockpot it is. Is it precooked and thawed? You’re really just warming it up if so, so i just put the ham in and whatever liquid I’m using, like a little pineapple juice for example, and heat it on low for a few hours. If u leave it in too long it’ll dry out so the typical 6-7 hours is too much for it. I’d start with 2 hours and check it from there.
I was worried because that can’t be good for her heart.
Thanks Tasha! That’s what I was going to do. I figured 2 or 3 hrs on low. It’s precooked and thawed spiral sliced ham.
Leslie you are making me hungry. I loved spiral ham in crock pot, I do mine with pineapple and maraschino cherries on top of it and mixed the juices and poor over the top of it. YUM! Unfortunately my hubs hates warm ham but I still make it this way and than when cooled make him ham sandwich on ciabatta roll!

Three things-
1-I finished Paper Princess-Erin Watts and immediately went on to Broken Prince, I am telling you these books are crack to me. So freaking addicting! The last series I read that I felt this way about was The Keatyn Chronicles-Jillian Dodd.
2-One of my hubs good friends has a x-mas party every year for his employees and every year he invites us and THIS year his secretary and husband rented a limo and texted us that they are picking us up! So I don’t have to worry about anyone drinking and driving and I don’t have to be the DD 🙂 YAY ME I can get my drink on too!
3-I am super mad at Kohls-I ordered 5 of the Big One blankets Maryse posted about on Black Friday and 3 of the 5 they have told me they cancelled my order because they don’t have that particular one in stock any longer but I go on their site and they show in stock-and to add to that I have given them other ones that they show in stock to replace the ones they cancelled and they want to charge me the price today 14.99 not the 7.49 I originally purchased them for. WTF That is just so wrong!
Jenn, contact Kohl’s customer service. I have never had an issue with them if I contacted them about something. They want your business…
Thanks Grey-I am actually awaiting a call back from them as instead of keeping me on hold they stated they would look into it and call me back. I am a very patient person and I have never ever had any issues with Kohl’s and I understand things happen and things sell so fast stock numbers aren’t able to keep up-truly what has me so upset is them wanting to charge me more to replace those three blankets they cancelled. I am sure I will get it worked out and if not I am not going to worry about it…I was mad but over it…..Because it’s hard to stay mad about something so insignificant when poor NAY is hurting!

Just following up to see if Kohl’s fixed the blanket issue for you. I totally get the upset… it was such a great deal and you got in on it on time.
I’m continuing with Leslie’s concern for Nay. I texted her this morning to get an update…radio silence…which tells me either her phone died, her husband confiscated it, or she is in surgery (finally). I think Grey mentioned on another thread that we need to bubble wrap her and her entire family… great suggestion…I think we should order the bubble wrap now…and include enough for the dog! Continue to send prayers and positive thoughts her way…even once she gets through surgery, my guess is that this is going to be a rough recovery….
1. Christmas décor is finally up IN my house…thanks to my hubby for stepping up this year.
2. Started Dumplin’ and am over halfway through it…I love it!
3. I have absolutely NO idea what’s for dinner…and this is the one night this week that I can actually cook. The rest of our week is crazy. So, I’m a meal plan fail…

1. I hate super evil villains, especially in books. I’m reading my Pick for Me book, Unknown by Wendy HIggins, and it made me SOOO angry last night I wanted to throw it, and I had troubles sleeping as a result. Worse, it’s book one! Gah, so of course, I’ll be finishing this one and wanting to read the next, but OMG, so wanting to kill the bad guys. All thousands of them, but especially two specifically.
2. I need to watch the new Sabrina series. It looks good, but I have to catch up on Riverdale. I haven’t watched season 3 yet. Yep, again, the only thing I’m keeping up with is The Challenge.
3. That KPop does look good, even if it weren’t reverse harem. I love rock and pop stars, and it’s rare to find a book that takes place in Korea.
Also, I did request the Cassandra Clare book. I’m 7th in line for the thing!
I’ve been attempting to watch It’s A Wonderful Life this morning for the first time, looks like I might really like it, but J won’t let me watch it. Lol

3. After Dallas won Thursday, the hubs was so excited he bought my plane ticket to see LP in San Fran again! Woop!

I just heard from Nay. She broke her tibia and fibula and dislocated her knee. She had 2 surgeries today and has a 3rd one scheduled for Thursday.
