in Latest Book Releases

<— eek If you squint a little, or er… have questionable eyesight (tee hee!!) this book title looks a little… *raises an eyebrow* (P.S. I don’t really know how to raise just one eyebrow, but it’s so cool to do that, so let’s just pretend I did). :P

ALSO JUST WENT LIVE TODAY (MONDAY) —> Trust (Temptation Series Book 3) by Ella Frank (this is from her M/M romance series that had so many in a book-frenzy!) ——>

But anyway… Six!!! Count ‘em! SIX NEW RELEASES that sound like they could very well blow our minds. A book for every once of our tastes. We’ve got a famous sports star, a mafia man, a biker, a marriage on the rocks, a second chance romance… and a sequel. Plus some VERY popular books on super-sale right now.

YAY SUNDAY!!! Oh… except that it means that tomorrow is Monday. *sigh* ;)

  1. PUCKED by Helena Hunting <— LIVE!!! “PLAYER” HOCKEY PLAYER ALERT! Or is he? ;)Violet believes her night of orgasmic magic with Alex is just that: one night. But Alex starts to call. And text. And email and send extravagant–and quirky–gifts. Suddenly, he’s too difficult to ignore, and nearly impossible not to like. The problem is, the media portrays Alex as a total player, and Violet doesn’t want to be part of the game.
  2. Worth the Trip (A Fisher’s Light Companion Novella) by Tara Sivec <— JUST WENT LIVE!!
  3. Leah (Carter Book 2) by L.J. Lewis <— LIVE!! (you have to read book #1 first, though… which is THIS one —> Carter)
  4. Stand Off (Predators MC Book 2) by Jamie Begley <— LIVE!! BIKER BOOK ALERT! OH! Looks like she wants to take an entire MC down. “…She was the one who always passed unnoticed as Max’s stepsister. They underestimated what she was capable of until it was almost too late. When the Predators discovered they were her prey, there was hell to pay, and Casey was going to have to pay her dues with her soul…
  5. Knocked Up by the Bad Boy by Vanessa Waltz <— LIVE!!! MAFIA ROMANCE ALERT!! And *whhhhooooops* ;) That title says it all. “Her father wants me dead. I didn’t know she was his daughter. I don’t give a damn. She’s mine. Our child is mine. I protect what’s mine. Even if it means war.
  6. My Time in the Affair by Stylo Fantome <— LIVE!! Troubled marriage alert!! And this is the one many of us are buddy-reading right now… “Now, before you judge me, hear my story. Hear how much I’m like you, how similar my thoughts are to your own…” AND SO MANY in our crew are loving it. Tessa just finished; “ Just finished and just happiness. I loved it. All the angst, the eeeps, the ooohs, and even the twist the mystery added. Unless cheating is a trigger, I’d recommend it to everyone. So, so good. Stylo Fantome doesn’t disappoint…” and Jean agrees: “’I’m almost done…… I normally avoid any books with cheating, but yeah for some reason this didn’t bother me as much as normal.
  7. Frenched Series Bundle: Frenched, Yanked, Forked & Floored by Melanie Harlow <— THE WHOLE SERIES is bundled and LIVE at a rock bottom price!!!
  8. ‘Til Death – Boxed Set by Bella Jewel <— THE WHOLE SERIES is bundled and LIVE at a rock bottom price!!!
  9. Return to Me (A Covington Cove Novel Book 1) by Kelly Moran <— LIVE!! SECOND CHANCE ROMANCE/MILITARY HERO ALERT! <— The were once in love but something separated him and he went into the military but… “Mia has returned to the Covington family’s coastal home in Wilmington as a private nurse to help Cole recover. With her uncertain personal life at a crossroad, Mia doesn’t have the luxury of saying no to the job. And she soon finds out that the attraction is still alive. So are memories of betrayal…
  10. One More Chance: A Rosemary Beach Novel (The Rosemary Beach Series Book 8) by Abbi Glines <— SUPER-SALE ALERT! Lauren found us this one Saying: “My patience has been rewarded….One More Chance (A Rosemary Beach Book 8) by Abby Glines. Been watching & waiting on this one to go down since September 2nd when it came out!” And Nanette LOVES it!! “Hey Maryse, I have just finished reading One more chance by Abbi Glines! It was so good! Couldn’t help crying while reading it. I don’t easily cry reading a book, but you can’t read this one without tears. I loved the way Abbi Glines just grabbed you in this one. The emotions…Wow! Words fail me.”
  11. Dirty Rowdy Thing (Wild Seasons Book 2) by Christina Lauren <— SUPER-SALE ALERT!! Thank you Mary-Ann for that find!! And Cheryl liked it: “I’m just about finished reading Dirty Rowdy Thing and it was a good, light sexy read..

I’ve always wanted to raise one eyebrow. I wish the little faces on my phone had that.
All I’m waiting for is The Friend Zone by Kristen Callahan. Super excited.

Marit May 3, 2015 at 9:36 AM

O.M.G. Just read Checked and Checked Again, by Jennifer Jamelli! It’s about a girl with OCD and her super hot therapist! I seriously don’t know what to do right now. Book three is not out yet. You HAVE to read these books. I’m stunned, speechless and hot for DR.Blake :-)

Tessa May 3, 2015 at 9:58 AM

*raises an eyebrow* Yep, I can raise one at a time. It’s a weird benefit from having Bruce Patman as a bbf as a tween. I kept practicing until I could imitate him. :D

I’m tempted by Pucked. Oh, so tempted, but I really need to finish these books rather than squirreling. I’ve got three books I’m reading, so I should finish one before starting another. Especially the Kindle Unlimited one so I can get Kingpin 3. Number 2 was a CH (of course).

Maryse May 3, 2015 at 10:34 AM

I read them last year and I loved them too. Actually #1 really got me. I didn’t know there would be a number 3!!! YAY!

Amy May 3, 2015 at 11:09 AM

You know I just HAD to take off my reading glasses and look at that title. *snorrrrrrrt* That one does look good though…no matter what we want to see the title as. ;)

My Time In the Affair is over now (yeah, yeah…I hear y’all groaning at that pun *pbltt*), and now I’m starting Good ’cause I want some teacher-student action. Only in books! Sheesh, you dirty-minded ladies. :P I was a bit disappointed with Interim by her but I really, really liked Going Under, so I’m hoping this one will fall at least in the middle of the two, ya know?

Maryse May 3, 2015 at 11:52 AM

I read that one Amy!! I loved Good!!! :D

Maryse May 3, 2015 at 11:53 AM

Again she feels a bit “young” but that actually traumatized me more in regards to the kind of story it was…

Anne May 3, 2015 at 1:13 PM

Marit thanks for the recs! I haven’t read that series or anything but that author. Does the 2nd book end in a cliffhanger?

I finished Sincerely, Carter last night and didn’t really like it. I think I am going to read Pucked next :)

Anne May 3, 2015 at 1:14 PM

Oh and My Time in the Affair was sooo good!! 5 star read for me!

Maryse May 3, 2015 at 1:39 PM

Okay so you know how “Pucked” says er,,,, *something else* on that cover. The obvious “something else”. ;) Well, when Anne just mentioned it above, I read umm…. “puckered”. 8-O LOL!!!

Just as bad, isn’t it? *blush* That title is gonna give me all sorts of reactions…

bev May 3, 2015 at 1:48 PM

Thank you for that!

Anne May 3, 2015 at 3:15 PM

Maryse lol! That title is going to be the death of us LMAO!

Kathy P May 3, 2015 at 3:32 PM

Tessa, read Mad Hatter next on your Kindle Unlimited. Definitely worth your time!

Amy May 3, 2015 at 3:43 PM

“Puckered”?!? Isn’t that a term the authors use in our books when the couples start getting *ahem* adventurous with the back door? *snort* Oh man, what did you start here Maryse… :P

Tessa May 3, 2015 at 3:49 PM

Kathy, I did as soon as it came out. I absolutely loved it! I finally just went and returned one that I can get later, just so I can read Kingpin (and avoid the other book). Thank you though! :)

Maryse May 3, 2015 at 3:53 PM

*gasp* Amy!!! Tee hee!!!! Oh I just snorted again… but yeah. That.

Or I mean… nooooo not that at all. Puckered. Like what your mouth does when you taste a lemon.

Yeah. That.

Speaking of lemons… lemon martini anyone? It’s still Friday, right? :P

Marit May 3, 2015 at 3:55 PM

Anne: Not a big cliffhanger, but these books are soooo addictive!!! You just want more. I spent the whole weekend on the couch reading:-p But it seems like book three is coming soon! :-) You have to read these books. Best read this year ;-)

Amy May 3, 2015 at 4:30 PM

Yeah. Sure…mouth puckered around a LEMON.

Hell, I’ll say it’s Friday if it means martinis!! Ooooh, and I want a Washington apple drink like she mentioned in the Affair!!!

Amy May 3, 2015 at 4:31 PM
Cheryl May 3, 2015 at 5:24 PM

LOL, the author was super smart with that title-certainly gets noticed and talked about…just like back doors…lemons… and martinis!!! *snort*

Bev, I can’t wait for The Friend Zone too…that sounded funny, the book I mean!!!

Maryse May 3, 2015 at 5:44 PM

YES Washington apple drink!!

I’m reading it still…

Cheryl May 3, 2015 at 6:47 PM

Just started Pucked, and snort-laughed when I read this line…According to the sportscasters, Buck’s an excellent hockey player…I’d agree, based on his yearly salary alone. No one gets that much money for sucking, not even extremely skilled prostitutes!! ;)

Tessa May 3, 2015 at 7:12 PM

I officially give up. Such a wonderful author and this one book is a total DNF for me. *sighs* I guess everyone can have one bad, and this is hers for me. Almost all my favorites have had one bad, so it’s not unusual. *grins*

So instead, I’m cheating and finding out why the one couple broke up and then I’m done. And… will get another KU book, because I’m addicted.

bev May 3, 2015 at 7:24 PM

Tessa????? Tessa!!???
If you have KU could you give Without Words by Ellen O’Connell a try? It was one of my favorites last year and I think I’m only one who read it on here.
If you hate I’ll be ok. Just try sometime? Pretty pretty please??
Hmm. That’s part of a song, huh? Shoot that’s going to drive me nuts. Off to Google.

bev May 3, 2015 at 7:31 PM
Cheryl May 3, 2015 at 7:47 PM

Bev, Pink’s song Perfect.

Amy May 3, 2015 at 7:58 PM

I get exactly what you were saying up there about her being “young” and it being kinda traumatizing, Maryse. I’m at 83% of Good and my heart is aching for her. Instead of the mature-for-her-age character that are often in teacher-student books, she seems to be age appropriate emotionally and mentally and is reacting just like what would be expected for someone her age…which is making it hurt that much more.

Grabbing an Angry Orchard and then back to Good. Have you ladies tried those? Oh my…they are sooooo yummy, especially the summer honey flavor! :D

Lauren May 3, 2015 at 8:26 PM

During “My Time in the Affair”, I got “Pucked” & “Frenched” (and Yanked, Forked, & Floored) “Til Death” by a “Dirty Rowdy Thing” & now “I’m Knocked Up by the Bad Boy”…but not “Tamed”. Haha….saw the titles & just couldn’t help myself.

Tessa May 3, 2015 at 8:39 PM

ROFL *bows to Lauren* Perfect!

Sure, Bev. I haven’t chosen one yet, so I’ll give it a try. After I read the Kingpin book.

I honestly read the first two, and man, that’s my issue with book series. I forget the name and that I read them. Well, in this case, the story really stood out, most all of it, and the ending still is there in my mind. That’s extremely rare.

Fabi May 3, 2015 at 8:41 PM

Haaaa! Lauren.

I love you guys for making me laugh so much.

Maryse May 3, 2015 at 8:53 PM

*snort* Lauren!!!!! You’ve had QUITE the weekend. Just sayin’ ;)

Tessa May 3, 2015 at 8:59 PM

Holy crap. I knew I was behind on my facebook stuff!

Gus, May 22.

Anne May 3, 2015 at 9:01 PM

LMAO Lauren! That was perfect!!

I was browsing Goodreads (which I do like 2-3 times a day lol) and found this book named The Secret Lives of Dirty Dancers by Anna Lunde. It was published in January. Has anyone read or heard about it? It sounds interesting and is part 1 of a series. I couldn’t find anything else from this author so I guess she is new?

Amy May 3, 2015 at 9:07 PM

LOL Lauren!!! That was awesome!!

Oh, sweet Gus.*swallows* Yep, that’s a lump in my throat. Thanks for that update Tessa! Even if I DO feel like crying now… ;)

Tessa May 3, 2015 at 9:14 PM

I know, right? Yet, knowing it will break my heart, I’ll read it.

Anne, I think the author is so new either she is working on it, or pulled it already, because it wasn’t promoted. You’ll have to ask and see.

bev May 3, 2015 at 9:15 PM

That’s it, Cheryl. Thanks. :-)

Yay! Tessa. Be honest, I can take it. Maybe, lol.

Julie May 3, 2015 at 9:22 PM

For those that have been waiting, I see that Trust by Ella Frank was released today. It’s the 3rd installment of her series. The first two were Try and Take. It’s on sale through Amazon for $3.99 for the first 48 hours.

Anne May 3, 2015 at 9:32 PM

Thanks Tessa! I will keep looking for more info :)

Okay starting Pucked now :D

Tessa May 3, 2015 at 10:23 PM

I’m wrong on the name of what I’m reading. Reading Invincible, a Kingpin novel, which the first book was called Indebted, (which is to not get confused with the Indebted series). *is confused* Still, it’s extremely memorable.

Julie May 3, 2015 at 11:34 PM

I read Pucked as Twilight fan fiction and loved it! The big news today is the Frenched bundle. I’ve read – and paid much more – for all four of these books. So worth it! I 5 starred Frenched and Forked but loved all of them. They are a must read and must buy!! Funny and sexy. I just finished the Mad Tatter today. It was good. Thinking of starting The Mistake next.

Fabi May 3, 2015 at 11:59 PM

I don’t know what Twilight fan fiction is, but I hear about it all the time.

I’ve been doing some beta reading lately and have to say I really enjoy seeing the works in progress and giving feedback (for whatever it’s worth). :-)

Anne May 4, 2015 at 1:40 AM

Pucked is hilarious! From the cover I wasn’t expecting such a funny book! Loving it!

Anne May 4, 2015 at 1:49 AM

“He’s referring to my girl parts.”
“He’s a bit of an odd duck, isn’t he?”
“He’s Canadian”

Jean May 4, 2015 at 6:29 AM

Anne, you are really making me want to read Pucked!!!

I was so excited to see the novella to Fishers Light! I loved that book! I 1-clicked a few times…just a few!

You guys cracked me up with all your comments!

bev May 4, 2015 at 9:42 AM

Maryse?? If you ride the mechanical bull at RT posts pics. Michelle S if you go I’m looking at you too.
I say this knowing there is no way in hell I’d ever do this.
I swear almost every book blog I read is talking of RT.

Amy May 4, 2015 at 10:02 AM

Isn’t the RT going to be in Vegas next year? Hell, I’d go to that one just to meet you ladies in person if any of y’all were going!! Oh, and to go to the RT convention too. ;) I mean, come on…Vegas, you guys, RT? How fun would that be?!?

Jean, there’s a FL novella?

Jean May 4, 2015 at 10:11 AM

Ohhhh I would love to meet you all, especially in Vegas!

Yep Amy, Worth the Trip, up there on the list. I think it is Fisher’s POV.

Tessa May 4, 2015 at 10:13 AM

Okay, this is not the continuation of the book I thought of. Still a good book I remember, but not THE book.

Anyone remember a dark read about the main MC who is a drug or gun runner who has a contact from (Mexico I think?). The contact sends a guy to get a feel for the H. H meets the heroine at a club where the contact sees her too. He likes her and originally was going to leave her alone, but the guy sent liked her too and wants to take her as a slave. So, to “protect” her from the guy sent, he kidnaps her and takes her home to be locked in her own room. The book was extremely intense and I want book 2!

bev May 4, 2015 at 10:20 AM

I don’t Tessa, sorry.

Michelle May 4, 2015 at 10:51 AM

Anne you are making me want to read Pucked too! Jean I still have Fishers Light high on my tbr. Tessa, I have no idea about that one but I’m intrigued when you figure it out :)

Finished book 2 of the Krinar Chronicles. It’s still an entertaining series but just middle of the road for me although I will finish the last book since I do want to see how it wraps up. Now I’m taking a break and going with Cold Burn of Magic.

Kim May 4, 2015 at 10:59 AM

I pucking loved Pucked. The funniest book I’ve read in a long time, maybe ever. Maryse, you will appreciate the endless Canadianisms. If you are looking for an escape from the angst and love a hot as puck hockey player as much as I do, this book is for you!

Jean May 4, 2015 at 11:04 AM

I just started Pucked this morning. I had to after Anne’s comments! Not too far in, but this girl is funny!

Tessa May 4, 2015 at 12:00 PM

I went through all my read books on Goodreads and it’s not there. Proof I should have been more diligent about putting books on there before now.

Shane May 4, 2015 at 12:35 PM

Lauren, that’s awesome.. You guys are cracking me up.
OMG, I read Debt Inheritance, I am not sure how to articulate my feelings yet to that, however I can’t seem to get enough. I want more! I want to know what Jethro will do.
Over the weekend, I finish #Nerd, it was a cute and quick read.
I am now reading, “The Hooker and the Hermit,” it’s entertaining and every time I read about her blog, I think about the way I became a follower here and now I look forward to reading everything here especially the entertaining comments…. Thank you guys!!

Shane May 4, 2015 at 12:42 PM

And of course, I preordered, “The Friend Zone,” just because I can’t wait to read it.
I added Pucked to my TBR, just because everybody that read it so far loves it…
Puckered, hahaha, blushing, I was seriously thinking of puckered lips, yeah ok!!!

Tessa May 4, 2015 at 3:04 PM

Yeah, another one who likes Debt Inheritance! *grins*

Anne May 4, 2015 at 3:35 PM

Jean this book is so funny!! Violet is hilarious!

Michelle Puckered is so much fun! Just what I needed right now :D

MichelleS May 4, 2015 at 3:48 PM

Marit – I loved Checked and Checked Again. Recommend them to anyone who is in a rut and needs some humor and drama all in one.

Ooh. There’s a book three to Try and Take??? Trust, huh? I thought their story was finished? Now what??? That was the best M&M romance I’ve read, so it may be worth a look. So hot.

Bev – there will be no mechanical bull riding for me at RT or anywhere. That ship has long sailed. I would surely throw out my back. Or puke. Either way. That’s a no.

I am still in PNR land. Loving Matrix of Destiny so much that I think I am just going to go ahead and see what Rejar is up to in Regency England. I haven’t heard any super loud 5-star squees from Maryse… so I will old out on all these new reads for now.

Sharon May 4, 2015 at 3:57 PM

I have been completely sucked into My Time in the Affair. This one doesn’t drag at all. Boom, you are in. Ok, back to the book.

bev May 4, 2015 at 5:29 PM

I just realized that except .for a little of a non fiction book I have not read anything since like Friday.

bev May 4, 2015 at 5:31 PM

The Friend Zone!! Tomorrow!! Then I’ll be reading.

Tessa May 4, 2015 at 6:37 PM

Thanks Michelle! There are some major goodies on sale. First off, all who haven’t gotten Never, Never, get it now! I’ve been wanting to read Rock Hard and Four Seconds to Lose. Comfort Food is one of Maryse’s favorite… and it scares me. lol

Went through all my finished Kindle books, that darn book must have been an unlimited or else have a very misleading cover.

Michelle May 4, 2015 at 6:59 PM

One more, Consequences by Aleatha Romig is FREE

Tessa, Comfort Food was good but I was freaked out by the end. If you like dark, it is surely that! Also Cold Burn of Magic so far (only 15% in) is good but it does remind me of the elemental assassin series in some ways.

bev May 4, 2015 at 8:28 PM

Tessa, what does the cover look like, if you remember?

Side note. The new royal baby is so sweet. What a beautiful family they make. I’ve seen her brother referred to as Prince Cheeks, lol.

Kathy P May 4, 2015 at 9:26 PM

Tessa, add Waiting for the One by L.A. Fiore. Just finished it and it is a Kindle Unlimited. Definitely recommend!!

Tessa May 4, 2015 at 9:42 PM

I’ve no clue what the cover looks like, unfortunately. So many books have the same photo stock, Some of them blur. At this point, once it’s found, I’m buying the thing! *grins*

Kathy P. Thank you! I’ll put that on my KU wishlist. *grins* I do like L.A. Fiore.

Fabi May 4, 2015 at 10:24 PM

Julie, than you! I had no idea there was going to be a book 3. I loved Try and Take!

Tessa May 5, 2015 at 12:36 AM

Invincible ended up being okay. Kinda forgettable, sadly.

bev May 5, 2015 at 1:09 AM

Tessa, could it be one of the Karina Halle ones?

Fabi May 5, 2015 at 8:38 AM

Started reading Trust last night even though I was so tired my eyes hurt. Fell asleep with my Kindle on my face. Woke up and started reading as the coffee was brewing. I love Tate and Logan so much! Best couple and love story ever.

Michelle May 5, 2015 at 9:22 AM

Ok squirreled Cold Burn of Magic…wasn’t horrible but my attention was drifting…and am reading Full Blooded by Amanda Carlson which is on my list above on sale. So far I can’t put it down! Really cool urban fantasy about a girl who is the only female werewolf. Yeah I know, hello Bitten right, but I ate up that premise so this one is working too and has unique aspects.

Tessa May 5, 2015 at 10:08 AM

Bev, nope. I’ve only read her first Experiment in Terror book. This was a dark book. She’s made into a sex slave, basically, just there’s a ton of twists.

MichelleS May 5, 2015 at 11:10 AM

Well, I’m not squirreling because Rejar is definitely doing it for me, thank you very much Fabi. This is my go-to book genre when in a slump. Good old PNR fun. With an over the top oozing sex appeal guy (in this case from another universe/dimension who can shift into a cat) who ends up in regency England with a hoity-toity virgin sassy girl. Per-fect!!!

I’ll get serious by the end of the week, I’m sure…. but not just yet.

Maryse May 5, 2015 at 11:33 AM

YAY Kim!! Thank you for letting me know. It sounds pretty perfect!

Anne May 5, 2015 at 11:46 AM

Marit after I finish Puckered I am starting with Checked :) Wish we knew more about book 3 though.

Fabi May 5, 2015 at 11:55 AM

Oh MichelleS me too!!! Love that stuff. But afterwards don’t forget about Trust. More yummy Tate and Logan. What’s better than an alpha H? Two of them!

Shane May 5, 2015 at 12:49 PM

I am enjoying, “Pucked.”
I love when the hero goes gaga for the heroine.
Next up, “The Friend Zone.” Yay!!!

MichelleS May 5, 2015 at 1:14 PM

Fabi – I am all over that (Tate and Logan were hotter than most of the male/female romances, so I am all in on book three). That will be up shortly for me.

Jean May 5, 2015 at 1:29 PM

Shane, I am really enjoying Pucked too! I’m at 30%…. it’s a light read so far and really funny!

Tessa May 5, 2015 at 4:03 PM

Figured out the Book! Owned by M. Never! *squees* That was driving me insane! I forgot that she met him originally as a client for a company she worked for. So, I got book two, needless to say. Now that I know, it’s not a huge urge to read, and I can catch up first. *grins*

Anne May 5, 2015 at 5:59 PM

Just finished Pucked and it was so funny! Its pretty light hearted so its perfect for when you need a break from angsty reads. Super MC rocked my world LMAO!
