She Dims the Stars (I *have* to know what the secrets are), Life in Reverse (even though it’s dual POV, I think it will still twist my tummy a bit), and The Fire Between High and Lo (sounds like it will pummel my heart!)…they’re ALL MINE!!
Like a Love Song sounds REALLY promising, and I like the cover (not to mention I now have Selena Gomez’s Love You Like a Love Song stuck in my head *snort*), but I’m a little wary after seeing the typos in the blurb. With that higher-than-normal price, I need to be sure *cough* need a guinea pig here *cough* that the story makes up for the typos I’m pretty sure will be in the book itself. 😕 Wow, don’t I sound like a grammar snob…

Just finished Sheltered by Charlotte Stein and liked it but felt the ending was too rushed. I wish it was longer too. Van was amazing though! Love him!

Cheryl, it IS great and so easy to make. Except…make sure you drain most of the olive oil/fat from the pan and turn the heat down and WAIT for it to cool down before adding the thyme. I didn’t and the thyme exploded once it hit the pan. I ended up with little freaking thyme leaves all over the stovetop, the backsplash, and my arm. And since they popped out of hot oil and stuck to my arm, I now have all these little red burns all over my forearm and it looks like I have bug bites! Good lord, people will probably think I have bed bugs or something. 😕

I bought the strawberry hostess cupcakes, and while I enjoyed ’em (I mean… come on… sugar, flour, pink! 😛 YUMMY! ) I, too, prefer the original chocolate ones.
Strawberry!! Lovvvvvvvvve strawberry. Did you ever see the chocolate-covered strawberry cupcakes they had around Valentine’s Day? But don’t ask me how long ago ’cause I couldn’t even say. Strawberry cake with the traditional chocolate frosting.
Oh yeah, the whole “limited time” and “limited edition” in ANYTHING puts me in a frenzy every time…just like marketing departments are hoping it will. 😛

Grr I hate limited edition only because if I like it, I can’t buy more. This past Christmas, they had Christmas tic-tacs. Red cherry and green apple. It was the perfect package. *sighs* Only at Christmas though.
Twinkies though, yum! I love cupcakes more. That weird frosting and the yummy cream inside the cake. I’m glad some other company bought Hostess. Who here was worried about the apocalypse due to the lack of Twinkies?

She Dims the Stars was perfect. With this, the second book of hers I’ve read, Amber Johnson’s gone on my list of ‘Read Everything She Ever Writes’ list.
You know how when the heroine’s had a rough life and you find yourself not commiserating with her, but wanting to slap her because the telling if it is just so heavy handed and ‘wow is me?’ Well, it’s so not present in this book, and I loved it. My thoughts are still so disjointed because I just finished it, but I had to come tell you it’s a definite must read. You will not be disappointed.

I’ve been immersed in the calendar girl series. It started off a little meh, but then it got so much better. Have to say some of the “situations” are somewhat far-fetched but it’s still entertaining. Can’t wait to see how it ends!! 😉
