YES!!!! It just came out a few days ago, so YAY scariness!!! :D Okay WOW. So… “…it’s Dragonscale, a highly contagious, deadly spore that marks its hosts with beautiful black and gold marks across their bodies—before causing them to burst into flames. Millions are infected; blazes erupt everywhere. There is no antidote. No one is safe. Harper Grayson, a compassionate, dedicated nurse as pragmatic as Mary Poppins, treated hundreds of infected patients before her hospital burned to the ground. Now she’s discovered the telltale gold-flecked marks on her skin. When the outbreak first began, she and her husband, Jakob, had made a pact: they would take matters into their own hands if they became infected. To Jakob’s dismay, Harper wants to live—at least until the fetus she is carrying comes to term. At the hospital, she witnessed infected mothers give birth to healthy babies and believes hers will be fine too. . . if she can live long enough to deliver the child.

He made me want to overcome my dark past. He pushed me to my limits. Vengeance lurked in my body.  I reached out for forgiveness and planned my revenge. We were meant to heal each other. And when we tried, my past came back to haunt me.

Amy E May 22, 2016 at 10:46 PM

To me “Jude” was Peter Steele from Type O Negative so Hart Shaped Box became extra awesome! Lol. Doomy Goth lead vocals?! That’s Type O!

Lisa May 23, 2016 at 3:23 AM

I appreciate this site so much, all of you have helped me find new authors, which is great. So a big thanks…to all of you.

I just saw where Bella Jewel’s new book is out “Manacle” which is great, anything is good by Bella. Also “Hostage” by Jamie Begley, is just come out, that is a awesome series in case anyone is new to Jamie, both of these are great MC series.

Fabi May 23, 2016 at 2:26 PM

I mentioned I was reading a new m/m which comes out tomorrow, Mr. and Mr. Smith by Helenkay Dimon, and would let you know what I thought when I finished it. And…

I LOVED it. :-)

Do you remember the movie Mr. and Mrs. Smith? It was a favorite of mine so when I saw this title I had to take a peek.

It starts off with a bang. A heart-stopping situation where your worst fears come true. Except, you didn’t know you had even more to fear. There’s a reveal that is so much worse. Not only heart-stopping, but heart-shattering. So much action, suspense, intrigue, betrayal.

It hit the perfect spot after all the sweet and fluffy reads lately. This one had plenty of tough guys in explosive situations.

So there ya go. My 2c. :-)

Anne May 23, 2016 at 2:35 PM

I am reading The Bird and the Sword and loving it!!! So beautifully written.

Wednesday sounds like a great steamy read :D

Amy May 23, 2016 at 2:44 PM

Dang Fabi, your mini-review had ME all excited! If I ever give m/m a shot then I’ll have to try that one.

BEV! If you have a student email then you can get Amazon Prime free for 6 months! :D

Fabi May 23, 2016 at 3:12 PM

lol Amy, I’d be as freaked out as I am about Bev trying a Hassell one.

Theresa May 23, 2016 at 3:50 PM

Rachel Robinson – The Dom is live for .99

Jan130 May 23, 2016 at 6:39 PM

Oh, oh, The Goal. *quickly clicks* :-D :-D

The Fireman looks too sca-ee for me *wild eyes*

Hmm. Famous people alert? Untangling the stars is tempting. Haven’t read any Alyse Miller but I like the premise.

Mr and Mr Smith sounds intriguing, too.

bev May 23, 2016 at 7:11 PM

Amy, I’m never sure what to do with Prime.

Amy May 23, 2016 at 7:19 PM

The Last Time We Say Goodbye by Cynthia Hand is 1.99 right now, normally 9.99! It totally sounds like a ME book, but it deals with suicide for anyone whom that is a trigger for.

Kinda like 13 Reasons Why…SUCH a good book but damn, did it hurt. :?

Amy May 23, 2016 at 7:20 PM

Bev…free 2-day shipping!! Not sure what else it offers but I’ll sign up anyway. :D

Jan130 May 23, 2016 at 7:33 PM

Ohio. Ooh. I bravely had a look at The Fireman on amazon and it’s described as similar to The Passage and The Road. Now it’s starting to tick my boxes.

Then I saw that CITY OF MIRRORS IS LIVE TODAY, folks!!! Third book in The Passage trilogy. Oh yeh!

Might have to spring for an actual paper-based copy to match my other two.

*gives wicked cackle of delight*

Jan130 May 23, 2016 at 7:33 PM

Ohio? (Don’t even ask)

Lisa May 23, 2016 at 8:01 PM

Ohio to you too Jan ;)
So glad to find someone who loved The Passage as much as I did. And Im not even into horror. Justin Cronin is the master of world building dont you think. Sometimes I recall a character or part of the book and it feels like I watched it in a movie…the visuals are so strong.

Anne May 23, 2016 at 8:09 PM

September can’t come fast enough! I want The Goal so bad!!! We should BR!

Tessa May 23, 2016 at 8:15 PM

Fabi! I’m reading Trials of Apollo. So far, it’s GOOOOOOOD. I’m on page 226 and so far, it’s everything I’d hoped it would be. Gah, I love Apollo’s ego. *grins*

Fabi May 23, 2016 at 8:16 PM

Anne, I’m in.

Tessa, omg, his HILARIOUS

Fabi May 23, 2016 at 8:17 PM

Tessa May 23, 2016 at 8:17 PM

The Goal? Ooooooh! I want!

Fabi May 23, 2016 at 8:19 PM

Amy and Bev, once you have the student prime membership you add the full prime membership for 50% off the full price. Then you get streaming music, streaming video, a free new release book per month, and the two day shipping.

Fabi May 23, 2016 at 8:20 PM

Oh and the free cloud storage. Handy when you’re in school.

Amy May 23, 2016 at 8:53 PM

YAY!!!! Thank you Fabi!!

Jan130 May 23, 2016 at 10:13 PM

Oh yeah, Lisa. The world of The Passage seems real to me too, in my crazy imagination. I especially loved the section set within the walls, if you know which part I mean. (No spoilers allowed!) Justin Cronin is a terrific writer. I’m not normally a horror fan either, but to me these books are more adventure/ sci-fi/ post-apocalypse genre than horror.

Because I want to get my hands on the actual physical book of City of Mirrors, I’m going to have to wait a few days. Our local booksellers don’t have it in yet. (What? Nooooo) *bites fingernails down to the quick whilst eagerly awaiting my shiny new book*

BTW, City if Mirrors may not be live on amazon stateside yet. Here in Australia we hit the international dateline earlier than you guys :-)

Jan130 May 23, 2016 at 10:18 PM

Anne, I’m in too. But September seems so far away…….

Lisa May 23, 2016 at 10:34 PM

BR for The Goal. You’re on.

Maryse May 24, 2016 at 12:52 PM

Fabi I’m posting your mini-review!!! :D

Maryse May 24, 2016 at 12:59 PM

We are still on, Amy! Er… well. Umm… I got it early. SO it’s… burning a hole in my iPad. It is. :)

Fabi May 24, 2016 at 1:10 PM

:-o lol

Amy May 24, 2016 at 3:28 PM

MARYYYYYYYYYYYSE!!! You’re not gonna wait for me?? I’m gonna cry!

Maryse May 27, 2016 at 11:01 AM

LOL Amy… I’m waiting… so far. ;) I want to read it SO bad.

Amy May 27, 2016 at 8:44 PM

Please? Pretty, pretty please? With a chocolate strawberry martini on top??

Well, at least if you read it ahead of me then I’ll know what I’m in for. ;)
