<—– *squeeeeeeeeeeee* Sweet Thing has a new look!!!
It’s still one of my #1’s for 2013. I’m ACHING for this feeling again. I read it just a few weeks ago, it blew me away and I’m still in “sweet thing withdrawal”. This was what I had been looking for. I dunno if the magic of it was in the story-telling, or the romance or the characters or… well.. it’s just the book as a whole? The feeeel of it, of what it made ME feel. This was what I needed. And I need it again. Although you guys already know that. 😉
Sweeeeeeet sweet angst, but with that WHOLE feeling in your heart. You know. Friends and romance, romantic interest roommates (that’s always fun!!), and one character that has very big “rockstar” potential. A true artist. But not just him. Her, too. The self-sabotage (nothing too crazy, but enough to make us wanna shake some sense into a certain someone). And best of all? Growth. It made me want to hug and be hugged. And be called “sweet thing” by Will. Yep, another fantastic book-boyfriend for us!!

I agree Marina. Many of you read it and loved it as much as I did, and for those of you who haven’t gotten to it yet, whatcha waitin’ for?? Are you in a book slump? This’ll have you beaming. I’m sure of it. But to give you an idea of the feel of the book and why it made me so in love, here is my review.
PLUS! Not only is it an awesome read, and is at an awesome price, but it’s had a gorgeous cover re-design and look. I feel another *squeeeeee* coming on!!!!! *sigh* Oh happy day!!!!!! 😀

Thanks! I will definitely check this book out! Speaking of covers, in my opinion they are important!! I personally don’t like when the cover has people or faces on them. I’d rather create the characters for myself. Sometimes it can make the book look cheesy!! However, there are so many beautiful covers out there!! (partial male anatomy is ok such as in Walking Disaster just for example, gorgeous!) I know I shouldn’t judge a book by it’s cover but sometimes its hard not to! lol!! This one looks good! thanks!

I agree Maryse; definitely my favorite of the year as well and sadly I had kept putting it off because of the cover; I know stupid because I should of learned my lesson with The Sea of Tranquility as I originally put off reading that one too last year because of the cover and that book by far has been my favorite book ever!
You know what? I feel guilty about this, but the original cover had me sidelined a bit too. Isn’t that crazy? I should KNOW better!!!! After all, I fell for SO many books a year or two ago that had the generic two-toned “template” covers.
And when you think about it, the old cover for this one had all of those essential elements (especially that heart coffee). It all made sense after the fact. But still… I’m right there with you, Jenn. *sigh*

I read this as a result of your review. I didn’t love it as much as you did, but I had just come off a run of about 10 book “duds,” as I like to call them. This one definitely made up for that run. I have recommended it more than once today with the price drop. 🙂

I LOVE this book–love the original cover and love the characters. I have to admit the way the book ends gave me pause and plagued me for days and I was THRILLED when the blurb from Will’s POV showed up on your blog—–it cleared EVERYTHING up and made me love the book even more!!

Awwww…I loved the original cover. But I’m from the Northwest where anything coffee catches my eye. This really is a beautiful story. It was deeper than I thought it would be but not too heavy and no cliffhanger! I needed an emotional but sweet read and Sweet Thing was it.

Adore the new cover. When I first saw it on here I was erring about reading it because the cover didn’t make it look like there was such a gem on the inside. (Whoops for judging a book by it’s cover lol) In any case, loved it. Super sweet romance the way I like it, not too easy, with a bit of angst and great characters.

It has it all: originality, engaging plot, unique and memorable characters, sublime music references and a great message. It deserves all the praise it’s been getting and more. Beautifully written, i’m really looking forward to read more from this author. So far, best book I’ve read this year!”

I read Sweet Thing in one day….I couldn’t put it down! I fell in love with Will. He is now on my list of Book Boyfriends and I needed a new one because I have been in a slump. I always get the paperbacks of all my Book Boyfriends even though I have it on my Nook. It makes me feel like they are always with me. =)

Buy this book! It will make you happy! Garanteed! No cliffhanger for once – no waiting for #2 or #3. Beautiful characters and friends. This one just gives you this happy feeling, that things eventually can turn out great when you follow your dreams and do not compromise. Sometimes it had me swallow and beeing anxious, but when you are finished there is this feeling of satisfaction and happiness. And at a bargain price of 0.99. If the right publishers come along this will be snatched away and be pricy…I am sure of it!

Just finished it. Haven’t loved a book this much in a long time. Being a musician I understand the passion. The author did a great job of bringing that shared passion between Mia and Wil across in her writing. In can be quite an erotic thing! Thanks again for an amazing recommendation!
