<— Look what’s coming out in theaters! The Best of Me by Nicholas Sparks!! YAY ME!!! I love Nicholas Sparks. Er… well… I should say the movies based on his epic gorgeous, heart wrenching love stories. He is just… SO up my romance alley, you’d think I would have devoured every book of his, by now. Alas, I always seem to jump into the movies instead. And now I’ve got another to look forward to. Maybe I should change it up a little and read the book first. ;)

But I digress… THIS giveaway is to celebrate the upcoming movie release: in Theaters October 17!! We’ve got a brand new trailer and everything, below!

So what’s it about?

Based on the bestselling novel by acclaimed author Nicholas Sparks, The Best of Me tells the story of Dawson and Amanda, two former high school sweethearts who find themselves reunited after 20 years apart, when they return to their small town for the funeral of a beloved friend. Their bittersweet reunion reignites the love they’ve never forgotten, but soon they discover the forces that drove them apart twenty years ago live on, posing even more serious threats today. Spanning decades, this epic love story captures the enduring power of our first true love, and the wrenching choices we face when confronted with elusive second chances.

The Best of Me stars James Marsden, Michelle Monaghan, Luke Bracey and Liana Liberato. <— side note from Maryse: I LOVE James Marsden. LOVE LOVE LOVE!!!!

I loved The Notebook and Nights in Rodanthe, movie versions. I’ve watched all his movies, but I’ve never read any of his books. My 17-year-old niece has every book that he has ever written and has loved them all. Maybe I need to dig into her collection since she’s always digging into mine.

JoJo October 1, 2014 at 8:50 AM

Loved Safe Haven and The Notebook!

JoJo October 1, 2014 at 9:05 AM

Loved Safe Haven but was especially moved by The Notebook! At the time that I was reading The Notebook my grandmother had been diagnosed with Alzheimer’s and my grandfather sat with her all day, everyday at the nursing home until she was put to bed at night. It was a hard one for me to get through with my eyes so swollen from crying. I will never forget staying up all night crying, reading, and loving The Notebook!

D Schmidt October 1, 2014 at 10:35 AM

I really like The Notebook although I adore all of them.

wendy rozema October 1, 2014 at 1:11 PM

My favorite is the Notebook!!

Emily October 2, 2014 at 2:01 PM

In the theme of books turned movie/tv show…just finished Outlander and OH MY!!! Jamie beats out Travis and Christian Grey and pretty much every other leading man in the romance genre. Seriously, this book made my heart leap out of my chest chapter after chapter (then broke it and soothed it all over again).
