Reader Question – Can you tell me how to add a photo in my profile on Maryse’s Book Blog?

Mony has a reader question but this one’s a bit different. It’s kind of a “Maryse’s Book Blog FAQ” question. 😀

It’s something I’ve answered in the past (I think in the comments on a past post), but I don’t think I created an official blog post for it, so for our new fellow readers that have recently joined us, I thought this might help you too. 😀

She asked:

Can you tell me how to add a photo in my profile? Thanks!

You’re doing a fantastic job!

You bet!! All the avatars on my blog can be pulled in from “Gravatar”.

If you go to gravatar.com (which stands for globally recognized avatar), you can set an image or photo of your own (your face, your pet, or something that pertains to you – maybe even your logo if you have one).

As long as you use the same email address at gravatar.com, that you use to comment on here, the “gravatar” that you’ve selected/submitted, will always show up on maryse.net with your comments (AND other sites using the gravatar system).

Don’t freak out if you don’t see it right away on my blog when you comment next. The blog has a cache system that refreshes every 24 hours (or less?) but this changes depending on different servers everywhere so some of us will see it sooner than others.

But by the next day, we all will. 🙂
