Here’s another “Maryse’s Book Blog FAQ” type question that was pretty specific but this works for all your searches on my blog, so I thought I’d turn Leslie’s question into a post:
Leslie M: Maryse, I’m not very good at navigating this site. 🙁 I found a slow burn list but it was several years old. Am I missing a more recent one?
Hi Leslie!
I try and update the various favorites lists on a weekly basis. We have so many, so I choose a different list that hasn’t been updated in awhile, once or twice a week and I update it with new recommendations. And yep… I think it’s time for me to get to that one next. 😉 Thank you for reminding me!!
NOW AS FOR NAVIGATING MY BLOG: First question from me is: are you visiting my blog on a phone or on a laptop or tablet? The menu bar at the top of my page and on the right hand side of my page changes position, depending on what you’re using to browse here.
The search bar works pretty amazing and pulls up relevant posts to your keyword (see it there at the top of my page next to my logo (or right under my logo if you’re on a cell phone). Just type in what you’re looking for or a single key word, and it will pull up the closest most relevant posts to what you’re searching for.
The MENU BAR is across the top section of my blog and has all of my most important stuff on blog for easy access. On desktop computers, laptops, and tablets the menu bar is across the top, fully extended and you can’t miss it. 😉
<— Each menu bar section is clickable, but also has a drop down menu if you want to get even more specific (for example: the “My Reviews” option in the menu bar, will take you to a list of every review I’ve ever written, but if you select the dropdown menu under “My Reviews” in the menu bar, you can specify to just show you my 5 stars, 4.5 stars, or my “Best of” lists etc… You’ll see all the options to choose from).
Another example from my Menu Bar: There’s a “In the Mood For?” list” (with a ton of tropes) listed in the top menu. If you click on it, it shows you ALL of the clickable categories and favorite tropes (and our lists for those categories) on my blog.
This way, you can easily choose the category that has exactly what you’re in the mood to read, and each category will have my reviews, our series recommendations, reader questions and our favorites lists that pertain to THAT category.
So if you’re in the mood to read “slow burn” romances, there’s a category for that – including our recommendations list that you mention, but if you continue scrolling past that list, anything tagged “slow burn” on my blog has been included for you to check out, too). You’ll find tons of goodies!
On a cell phone it is there too, but the menu bar (also at the top of my blog) says “menu” shown with three lines. If you click it, every menu option shows up.

And on a cell phone, to get the extra specific drop-down options, you can click on the little arrow next to each menu option).

SIDE-BAR MENU OPTIONS: Will be visible on the right hand side of my blog on desktop computers, laptops, and tablets. ➔ ➔ ➔ ➔ ➔ ➔ ➔ ➔
This is where I get crazy, and load it up with all of the fun stuff (like my Facebook feed) and recent comments, and most recent posts and also a “Quick Links” section that take you to the latest releases, or the latest reader questions, etc…
But ALSO theirs a sections of stuff from my top menu bar… just extended with all sorts of goodies like:
An “In the Mood to Read?” list” (with a ton of tropes) also on the side menu bar. Slow burn is listed there, too!

<— If you’re on a cell phone, the “right sidebar list of menu options” to choose from (tropes, categories, reader questions, etc) ends up UNDER my main posts on the page you’re on. So scroll down past the post or posts, and then you’ll see all of my “sidebar” menu options right under them. And you can click to your hearts content.
But don’t forget that awesome search bar which is pretty much the first thing you see when you’re on my blog (near my logo). That thing works pretty great, if I do say so myself!! 😀
Ash: The work you’ve been doing with this website is AMAZING. It truly is. Everything is so neat and categorized, it’s super easy to navigate and it find what you want.
Dori: I just wanted to say Thank You for having such a wonderfully organized, easy to navigate, fun to read blog. Your blog is officially on my “must check daily” list.
Michelle: I truly think your blog is fantastic. I love the interactive way you have it organized.
Maryse: Thank you so much guys!! I’m a list maker and a categorizer, and I like my favorite things (including book recommendations and book stuff 😉 ) to be easy to find, here.

hii, there was an audiobook that i was listening to and the page had nothing about the book. The book was about a girl whose dad (tilia) died and her grandparents took her in, TIlia had no idea about her grandparents because they were on her mom’s side and she died, early on. Talia’s grandparents send her to a boarding school and she meets a bunch of guys who are in charge of the school, the boys turned the school on her and bullied her, somehow they started to be nice to her and she trusted them, but then they backstabbed her and her grandparents disowned her. here’s the link tot the audiobook link https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5ve0Du09ViY&t=14s
