Grá needs our book help! Oh I love the sound of this one… best friend’s brother that comes to her rescue and it’s a secret!! It almost sounds like a book by Mia Sheridan… but if I can remember correctly, both were poor.
She asks:
I’ve been searching for a book for a while now and can’t find it anywhere! It doesn’t help that I can’t remember much 🤦♀️
What I do remember is the main girl lives in a trailer park with an abusive parent.
Her best friend lives in a better part of town and rescues her a lot. One night she gets hurt at home and calls her best friends house but her best friend and parents are away and her older brother is home house sitting.
He comes and picks her up and sees her all bruised and beaten and then becomes like her saviour – rescuing her all the time and basically moving her into his apartment behind her friends back.
If anyone knows this book I’d love to re read it!
