The bright side? It sounds like one of personal growth and an HEA once the Hero comes into the picture, so at least there’s that.

I’ve been looking for it for years. I hope it’s as good as my mind keeps telling me it was. I read this book when I was 15/16 in 2010/2011.
The book is about a girl who has childhood trauma from watching her stepfather rape her 2 or 3 year old half-sisters (his daughters). The stepfather never touched her because he found her disgusting because she wasn’t his.
The heroine goes to work for the hero, who is either a private investigator or does private security. Either way he owns the company. They end up falling in love and he has to save her from her deranged family at the end of the book.
