Heidi is looking for this one!!! 😀 She’s sent over a list of details so go through ’em with caution in case of spoilers (I alert majorly at one point). And holy moly this one sounds like it gets crazy, tumultuous, infuriating and has all sorts of twists (even with the side characters).
Amnesia, marital strife, infidelity, inheritance, bad guys, angry family members etc etc…

- I think it was part of a series (not main plot from series is to find sisters or cousins they didn’t know they had)
- it’s similar to winter’s edge
- woman is young late 20 or begin 30. Married
- heroine has amnesia possibly after car accident.
- she had had a miscarriage in the past.
- she became wealthy after (step)father dies.
- in the book she visited her mother who was sick or dying,
- Her mother said things who made her bitter and bitchy.

- after amnesia she became her true self again (before visit to her mother and miscarriage) and went back to a jeans and t-shirt kinda girl.
- her husband is an architect and wanted to divorce her because she became so bitter and superficial. In the end they don’t divorce.
- in addition to her husband , her (half)brother and his wife and baby lives with her, also a relative from her husband.
- (half) brother is angry because he got nothing out of the will. I think it was also the reason she invited him to come live with her.
- there was a (fake) maid (I think her name was Genevieve) who pretends to be friends with the heroine, also pretends to be french. I think she also has an affair with the heroine’s brother.
- there is a character i think who is seemingly the maids brother. They both turn out to be con artists
- some time after she comes home from the hospital, she hears a baby (she thinks is hers) cry and thinks that that was the reason she felt “empty”
- near the end of the book she knows someone wants to kill her but refuses to leave without baby and the husbands relative.
- she is being held for ransom by the ‘maids brother ‘on a boat I think.
- there was also something with the heroine’s sister-in-law trying to seduce husband, but I’m not sure.
- when her sisters finally find her a lawyer wants a DNA test to be sure they’re related, not just there for her fortune.
Whoa! That is a TON of info, and I’m wondering if it is ALL from the book she’s looking for, or from throughout the series?
