I’m so frustrated and I feel like maybe you could help me.
I read this book a few years back, I can’t remember the author, title, and cover description but I remember the plot, sort of.
The heroine is a maid in a big house for a wealthy family, she and her uncle have been working to send her off to get a better life so she was almost done working for the wealthy family, then their son returned.
She was asked to wait on him and one thing led to another, she was sleeping with him. And he was to be betrothed to another woman.
One specific thing I remember is that there was a part where he told her to sleep on the floor, near his bed.

Also, at the end of book 1 (it’s a series and I only read the first book), he ended up getting engaged/betrothed to another woman.

Hi, please I need help finding a novel I read wayyy back. Can’t remember the title and author but can remember bits and pieces of the plot. The hero is a rich lad who lives in a mansion while the girl and her family were employed by the guys family to work in the mansion. He fell in love with the girl but had to send her away from the mansion because he found out she slept with one of his friend because she would not let him be with her. Long story short he ended up finding an private investigator to track her down to where she works at a restaurant, he asked her to quit and work for him without giving her an option. But there was one plot where he had to wait outside the rain for her when she was having a meeting with someone .
I’ve tried finding this book myself but all my efforts has not been productive. Would really appreciate it the title can be found.
