This might be vague but I don’t remember much about this book because I read it a few years back.
The protagonists are- a super possessive cop, a very sweet shy heroine. It has Kristen Ashley feels, but it is definitely not her (so it is not Breathe for sure).
It is angsty, has some ex gf drama. It is set in the 2000s in a small town. I think the heroine has a best friend, but i am not sure.
There is a super minor love triangle scene too i think, but i am not a 100% sure.
I hope this is enough because i really can’t remember much hahaha.
