Oh this book already has my heart by this fellow reader’s description. I just know I’d fall in love HARD. It has TONS of info and this one will be SO easy to guess, for those that have read it, or have heard of it!! There’s a big spoiler but it’s “spoiler-noticed” π
AneesahΒ asks:
Hello there. I sent the message below to one of my friends on GoodReads hoping for some help remembering the title of a book I read last year. I’ve completely forgotten the title and it is making me a little crazy. She wasn’t familiar with the book but she suggested your blog and that I might message you for help. I hope you don’t mind me contacting you.
Here’s the message:
Ok, I’m getting old (and apparently senile). There was a time when I had no problem remembering from one year to the next ALL the books I’d read the the authors names but I suppose that is a gift you loose when you are nearing 40.
My reading partner–we call ourselves the Two Lady Book Club– and I read a book sometime last year (or maybe even the year before) but neither one of us feather-brains can remember the title or author’s name. Here’s a description of what I DO remember. Perhaps if you read it too, you can help a sistah out!1. It was contemporary romance
2. The hero was a semi-famous professional fighter (MMA I think, maybe?) and his agent or manager (in an effort to help shed his “bad boy” image) arranged for him to meet one of his fans through the Make-A-Wish foundation (or another organization very similar to that).
3. The heroine is the aunt of the sick little boy that the hero goes to meet. She lives with the boy and his mother who is a journalist. The mother covers all kinds of national stories that keep her on the road a lot. She is a very neglectful mom so the boy is really fortunate to have the aunt around taking care of things. The heroine even sold her condo that she loved so that she could move in and help care for him.
4. The hero and heroine meet briefly in a nightclub sometime prior to the day he goes to hang out with the little boy. They seem to hit it off right away but due to some weird mishap, they lose contact (they may have exchanged numbers in the club). When they meet the second time, she remembers him but HE does not remember her–at least not at first.

The hero (who only agreed to meet the little boy grudgingly at first) kinda falls in love with the kid right away when he realizes how cool he is and he decides to help the kid fulfill as many things on the list as he can: going to a football game and meeting all his favorite players, skydiving, meeting a famous supermodel (who used to date the hero), etc

After the little boy passes away, the hero and heroine decide to keep doing things on the little boy’s bucket list in tribute to him. By the end of the book the hero and heroine are married and have a child who they’ve named for the little boy.
If ANY of that sounds familiar and you think you may have read this book, PLEASE let me know the title and/or author’s name. This is driving me absolutely nuts and as usual my reading buddy (whose memory is perhaps WORSE than mine) has been no help whatsoever (Damn you Laurel!!).
I sure would appreciate your help. Please feel free to forward this to any of your GoodRead friends that you think might be able to help, I’m desperate!
Thanks in advance,
Aneesah C.
Anyone know which one she’s looking for?
Jodie: It is Undisputed (Undisputed Series Book 1)Β by AS Teague. Great book.
