Ren is looking for this one! I love books about reclusive heroes!! I read one recently that had a similar feel to this… so I’ll submit it as my guess. 😀
I read a book about a man who lived in the woods but was accused of a crime.
The woman was watching him via a camera at the police station. She ends going to his house in the woods and he helps her find her parents car that crashed many years ago.
I don’t want to give too many details but I believe the title alludes to watching someone.
Have a guess?
Maryse: I’m going with “Unloved, a love story” by Katy Regnery because the details in this question are align with the themes in this book (in this case, his dad being a convicted serial killer, and he thinks he needs to remain in the woods in case he becomes like his father).
Though the car crash situation is not sparking my memory in this book (since her main situation was her dead fiancé). And for some reason I’m remembering a scene about the heroine watching him through a camera at the police station but was it from THIS book? Eeeeeehhh I’m not so sure.
Jennifer: I think you are right. There is a twist I can’t remember about his dad. But I don’t think he committed a crime. But the parent’s car thing works with your guess.
Maryse: Maybe then I DO remember reading that scene? Thank you Jennifer! 😀 I’ve read quite a few reclusive hero books so sometimes I wonder if I’m mixing them all together in my head. LOL! And now I AM thinking the police station scene IS in this one too, I’m remembering it when she was dropped off… YES!!
Kimberly: I think it’s Savaged by Mia Sheridan!
Sparky: Could it be Savaged by Mia Sheridan?
Mandy: I agree! I believe it’s Savaged, too!
Ren: Omg It is Savaged by Mia Sheridan. Thank you so much.
Maryse: YAY!!!! Another one solved! Thanks guys. 😀 Now I’m starting to wonder if I read Savaged too and mashed the two books together? LOL!!!
