Victoria is looking for this one! Ohhh a touch scandalous in the age gap (younger girl, older man) + political/paparazzi realm!!
She asks:
Maryse!
I’m in a tizzy and scrambling my brain for the title of this book I want to revisit. I was hoping you and your group could help me out.
It’s about this 21 year old college girl who meets a very young state senator (though he’s still quite a bit older than her by like 7 or 9 years) and they begin a secret relationship until the press finds out. Meanwhile, he’s adamant about her avoiding being photographed by the press (but, of curse eventually the two of them gets linked to reach other).
One of the quotes I distinctly remember from the book was her telling him, “I once had a state senator on his knees” or something like that.
The story spanned three books and they broke up a couple of times. Help!
Anyone have a guess?
Ambraneve: Is it Off the Record BY K.A LINDE?
Jennifer: Itβs Off the Record by K.A. Linde. Just found this and read it off my TBR pile. Great trilogy.
Victoria: Oh my gosh, yes!!!!! That was quick. Thank you!! Iβve been wracking my brain on what it could be and scrolling through my electronic order list on amazon.
Leslie M: I loved Off the Record andβ¦itβs on KU with the audio!!!
Jan: A Sense of BelongingΒ by Laura Branchflower is similar, but only one book (I think). College student and older attorney/ powerful senatorβs son/ wannabe senator fall for each other.
Maryse: YAY Ambraneve (and everyone that chimed in). I LOVE K.A. Linde and I haven’t read this one yet. π Thanks to Victoria for sending this question over, ’cause now we have a trilogy to add to our TBR list, and if we enjoy that genre, Jan just gave us another recommendation. π
