Ohhhh I LOVE human/ghost romance stories!!!!! In fact, I fell HARD for a Lifetime (or was it a Hallmark?) Christmas movie last year with this very same subject and was crazy for it! LOL!!!
Hello guys! Can you help me please??
I’m looking for a book, it’s about a woman who went into an haunted old house that was her grandmother’s (I think?) and through a mirror (I think?), she met and fell in love with a man from the past in the same old house.
I think this man used to live in that same house a long time ago so he’s a ghost.
I’d really appreciate your help because I want to read it badly now!
UPDATE FROM NADINE (2 years later – 2020):
I did eventually find this one book that I think might be it but I’m not 100% sure: My Outlaw by Linda Lael Miller. I’m still searching to this day, I also remember the cover being blue with a haunted house in the distance but that’s as far as I remember.
So while this is NOT an accurate guess, since you’re looking for a book, in the meantime, might I suggest this terrific movie called The Spirit of Christmas. Trust me, a TON of us were going crazy and swooning over this ghost on Facebook. 😉
Okay so now… any guesses what book she’s looking for (and that now I AM looking for)?
Jen C: Not about the book but GOSH that movie was lovely!
Maryse: I KNOW IT!!!! I watched it all through the Holiday every time it came on. <3
Laura: The Ghost and Mrs. Muir: Vintage Movie Classics by Josephine Leslie, writing as R. A. Dick (1945); made into a movie in 1947. This is one of the rare cases where I preferred the movie to the book.
Alisa: The “ghost story” sounds like it could be one of Antoinette Stockenberg’s titles, but I don’t know which one. Also, there is a book by Sara Humphreys from 2015 called LUCK OF THE IRISH (Leprechaun’s Gold Book 1). It’s a leprechaun who is trapped in the mirror and the h has an amulet that can release him. It was labeled at the first of a new series, but I haven’t seen any further titles listed on Goodreads.
Maryse: Oooooh!! I just remembered one that I LOVED!!!!!!! Could it be this? Dark Needs at Night’s Edge (Immortals After Dark, Book 4) by Kresley Cole? In fact, here’s my review.
Jamie: The book was called The Mirror, it was her wedding present and it transported her back to her grandma’s body and brandywine mines
Maryse: Ohhhhhhhh I BET THAT’S IT!!! It’s been a couple of years since this question originally posted, but I will try and let Nadine know about your guess!!! Thank you Jamie!!!
Nadine: Hi Maryse, I can’t believe you’ve contacted me after 2 years, thank you! Unfortunately neither of the books are the right book but I did eventually find this one book that I think might be it but I’m not 100% sure: My Outlaw by Linda Lael Miller. I’m still searching to this day, I also remember the cover being blue with a haunted house in the distance but that’s as far as I remember.
