Hui Lin needs our book help! OMG!! I’ve had this reader question before, quite a few years ago (2018!!), and so many of us were dying to find out what book it was (we love the “ghost” love stories, even though he might not actually be a ghost).

I read a book in the 70’s.

A woman was in her kitchen, then a cat would appear in her garden.  She went out to see the cat and fuss it,  and then a man in centuries old clothing appeared.  She thought it was strange, he only appeared when the cat was in the garden.

Over time she did fall in love with this ghost in the garden.
