Reader Question – The book about the woman that wants revenge on him, yet he’s quiet, humble and a loner (and keeps pigeons)…

Sofia needs our help, and I know once we find this book, it will be added RIGHT UP AT THE HIGHEST level of our TBR lists. This. Sounds. AWESOME!!!!

She asks:

Maryse Please help me find this book!

It wasn’t a romance as such. I read it probably 6 years ago, and I think it was set in Ireland. A young woman’s older sister is murdered after a party on a boat, and she vows revenge on the guy jailed for it. He comes out early, and she decides to make him fall in love with her, and then tell him who she is, and wreck his life.

Anyway, the guy isn’t what she expected. He’s quiet, humble, and a loner. He helps out at an old mans club, and he keeps pigeons. He loves those birds. She makes friends with him, and starts to like him. Really like him. And she’s confused because this is the guy that destroyed her family.

Anyway, she does something horrible. Gut wrenchingly awful, to make him hurt. And it works. The guy who was so distrustful of everyone had finally started to trust her, and she breaks him.

It was such an intense read, and I want to go back and see what else this author has written. Can you please help me find it again?
