I’m afraid to read the blurb or run into spoilers by accident, so I’m posting this reader question in case anybody here knows the answer… Michelle wants to read this one badly but is it a standalone?

I was wondering if you could help me with a book question.
I just saw a book in my newsfeed that looks sooooo good but it says it’s book 3 in the series.
I was wondering if it could be read as a stand-alone. I’m already in the middle of another series, but I can’t get this book out of my head.
It’s Taken (Traded Book 3) by Rebecca Brooke.

Amy: It can be read as a standalone. But it is about a family so reading the other books might be helpful.
Booklady: I have read books 1 and 2 in the series (Traded & House Rules). Each one of those were the stories of two brothers in the same family, but they could have worked as standalone. I just read a little of the sample for book 3 and see that the beginning is related to something that happened on book 1. I think that you could read book 3 as a standalone though because authors always give some background information.
