Hayley is looking for this one! Okay the only thing coming to mind is Mists of The Serengeti (but I can’t remember that specific detail – below).
THIS is one of my most recent favorite books ever!!! You know it, ’cause I’ve told you (P.S. Here’s my 5-star review)
She asks:
Hi Maryse,
Love your blog and I always know if I’m in a book funk, I’m sure to find something great to read from recommendations here.
Tried to work out how long I’ve been relying on your recommendations and it would have to be in excess of 10 years. How long has your blog been active now? Because, I think I was here when you first started or thereabouts.
I’m looking for a book I read the blurb to ages ago and thought “I must read that” but I can’t for the life of me remember the title or author!
I think it was set (in the beginning) in Africa and there was a photographer who got killed in an explosion and his sister had to retrieve his body..
Anybody recognize this one?
Thanks in advance.
Hayley
Hi Hayley! 😀 WOW!! I’m thrilled you’ve been with me for this long, and love that you’ve come to us to help you find a book. I LOVE IT! I’ve actually had this blog since early 2009, so it’s been 13 years of almost daily (and often multiple-times-a-day – daily book life)!! HOLY. MOLY!!!!
Okay now…
Anyone have a guess?
Maryse: Soooo my guess will definitely be Mists of The Serengeti.
Christina: Mists of The Serengeti by Leylah Attar has a similar theme. Even if it’s not the book, it’s a great read!
Hayley: Yay! That’s it!! Mists of Serengeti!!! You are brilliant. I knew you’d know. Thank you so much!!
Maryse: YAYYYY!! That was easy!! 😀
